That's been happening for the last 24 hours.. it's a Facebook problem that Farm Town can't do anything about, unfortunately.
You should still be able to send gifts from the 'all friends' tab - that worked for me. :)

As Molly posted above this is a Facebook glitch (which I have seen in the past on other games on Facebook.) When you send gifts simply choose youre Farm Town friends from the list of your facebook friends. The current limit seems to be holding at 16 for Farm Town. This of course can and will change without notice from Facebook.

Facebook seems to be having some issues with a few different apps. When sending gifts choose people from the facebook freinds list for the moment.

Thanks for doing something new to the game, I was getting very bored with it. I have both farms fully upgraded and am maxed out on levels.

I have a question. (Actually, I have a few) What does the growing heart box do??? I've had mine for at least 12 hours and nothing is happening.

Next question, is there going to be new levels or is this game at it's capacity??? I really love this game....redoing my farm (because I have nothing else to work for) is getting a bit boring though.

I realize it's been a very long time since we've had something new to add to our farms but as far as the gifts are concerned I don't think they're very great. :( We need some items that are permanent and not items we put on and take off after the holiday is over. After the holiday, then what??? :confused: Then we're back to where we started, with nothing new. And some of the gifts are similiar to those Halloween gifts you had, like the little things of candy. You need a magnifying glass to see them. The new items for Valentines just doesn't cut it. We need new activities and new goals to meet too. What about town buildings like a church or a school or a town hall, etc. What about little people to set around the farm doing different activites. Maybe an animated farmer doing some shoveling or raking, etc.

All you did was put a pacifier in our mouths until dinner is ready. Dinner still hasn't been delivered. So what's the next great idea more candy for Easter?? :eek: Are these the kinds of things we have to look forward to? It's NOT enough!!!!! If most people aren't complaining now, they will after Valentines Day. Come on guys, you can do better than this!!!! :rolleyes:

One question .. and should this be added to the bug forum? The flower shop doesn't hide with other buildings! I think it should, yes? I know some of the trees (eg cherry and autumn trees) don't hide, so I have to make sure they're not covering any fields.

But the flower shop is BIG and it's a pain not to be able to plant any fields behind it.

So I'm wondering if this is an oversight by the developers or wether it's intentional?

Aha! A new update ...that explains the minor weirdnesses I've been experiencing, which seem to have worked themselves out. As to the growing flower basket, I haven't seen it, but from what I'm reading, here's what I think. When you buy flowers, it takes them 4 days (I think) to grow. My guess is that the same is true for this basket. Just watch them, and if they don't grow in 4 days, then there might be an issue. Also, experience has taught me that watering flowers not yet gown doesn't speed the process :).

Sadly and unfortunately I totally agree with this post. A pacifier until dinner is ready is a pretty good description ..... just hope dinner is coming up quickly. I had hoped and held my breath for something that would bring my Farm Town neighbours back to the game with delight .... and yes they came, the looked .... and then they all, justifiably so, said 'ho hum' and went back to their work in less boring games :(

My FT 'window' has gone smaller and I can't click chat button - can click iy in full screen mode....but of course it is disabled!! Can't initiate chat with visitors to my farm or see coins icons etc.,

why are the devs worried about the single day holidays such as Christmas & valentines day. this game needs some permanent help, items we can use year round, not for just short periods. they are driving away the people who play this game on a regular basis. all the items for valentines day that are worth putting on the farm require farmcash, that's sad. If ur going to continue down this path, the number of people playing will CONTINUE to drop. it's time to concentrate on permanent year round updates. putting a half inch bandage on a foot long gash just doesn't work.

Instead of giving us these nice but nominally useful gifts...how about TURNING XP'S FOR LAYERED FARMING BACK ON so I can help others level up? You developers have completely lost touch with the social interation being the best part of the farmtown experience. What keeps people coming back? The occassional new set of gifts, or real opportunites to level up?

The gifts are nice no question but do very little to enhance the game at all.

Everyone is asking about the growing gift basket but I cannot seem to find any replies. Please let us know what the basket is for. And Please less farm cash items. I play these games because I am poor and cannot afford a social life and now it seems I cannot have these games for free.

Many people are asking about the growing baskets. I have bought quite a few! So far I have tried planting seeds and flowers in the growing baskets but it will not allow that. I have been watering them and it is deducting coins but only lets me do this once a day so I can only assume that something is actually going to grow. Although as the percentage has stayed at zero I'm not altogether sure. I am hoping for a lovely surprise so I hope the developers don't tell us what is going to happen. Time will tell! If nothing grows no worries they look nice as they are! :-)

Hey everyone - how about laying off 'what does the growing basket do?' questions. It is in the VALENTINE'S DAY category, and Valentine's day is FEBRUARY 14TH so could it be that if we just park it on our farm, and wait PATIENTLY until the 14th we may see what it does then. Has nobody any patience any longer??? It's a good thing the devs don't plan surprises for us along the way because everybody drives them nuts over one little 'growing basket' when they add it ...... I believe everyone is over-thinking it. When I first saw it I didn't think anything would grow and assumed we had to put candy, flowers or whatever inside. That's what I did with mine.

I really wish they'd put stuff in some kind of order. Especially the seeds. I'd like for things to be grouped by their harvest time, since I usually plant stuff so that it gets ready together.

Love the new items! I've added a couple so far to my farm - including the flower shop. Will no doubt be adding more, though I'm running out of room. :)

One question .. and should this be added to the bug forum? The flower shop doesn't hide with other buildings! I think it should, yes? I know some of the trees (eg cherry and autumn trees) don't hide, so I have to make sure they're not covering any fields.

But the flower shop is BIG and it's a pain not to be able to plant any fields behind it.

So I'm wondering if this is an oversight by the developers or wether it's intentional?

We have had that for sometime it was in place before the new levels came out.

Valentines gifts are great, but what about all the other problems. When are things going to be fixed?? With each new update something else goes wrong. I am now on WF53 which is even worse then the W22 I was on. Still having issues with constant "connection to server disconnect" and having to CONSTANTLY reload the game. NOW with this new update and on server W53, there is always something missing from my farm. Yesterday my fence was gone and i couldn't see my boulders, today my fence is back and boulders are back and now I can't see my stone paths!! This game is no longer fun at all, I am tired of posting here and I see that probably most other people are too since not much has been posted about all the problems. This use to be a fun game but not any longer, it is frustrating and non exciting, more maddening than anything else. Rerouting different players to different servers is not correcting the problems ... is that how they are being corrected, players shifted to various servers and letting everyone have their share of the problems? Come on ... this has been going on now for months and still no fixes .... only new gifts? Mad as heck now and I give up.

It shouldn't matter what type of computer you are using all you are doing is creating a url link to your farm. The URL is the same for everyone except for the user id number. There is a link in my sig that will tell you how to find the ID number, you probably had the wrong number or messed up the URL to get the x20 error. Once you have the URL working where it is taking you to your farm post again and ask someone to check it for you because you can get it wrong but not get an error it just takes the person to their own farm so you can't check your link out yourself. Someone will be happy to check it out for you.

Sometimes updates can uncheck those items under the wrench.

The ones you have seen "grow" are because someone used a dirt path to put something in them not because the basket grow something. My guess as to when the baskets grow is Valentines day.

And where does it say how to go about earning the dog-gone thing anyhow?

Finally, why on earth do you insist on making a 'final level'? There is NO reason to do so. It does not tax the systems much at all to simply keep adding to the level counter as you continue forward. I mean this is getting tiresome. I had reached the final level, and had basically ceased playing because there was nothing of significance left to do once I had achieved the Mansion level.

Now I find out that level 60 is the "last" level which I have already reached. So tell me why on earth it is that someone who is on the LAST (final) level, suddenly has to "Earn" the privelege of hiring someone to plow their fields?!?!?!?!?!?!

Look at that from the CUSTOMER's side of view instead of from the programmer's / game developer's point of view... My bet is that you will see a vastly different picture, and realize the folly of adding the 'trophy' requirement...

The land price gives you an incentive to keep playing, another challenge in the game.

everyone should read the posts before posting the same question over and over. when you ask the same question over and over, you will get the same answer over and over. it gets a little annoying for the people who actually read the posts to read the same thing over and over.

why would you not be able to hire to plow all of a sudden it keeps saying you dont have a particular trophy when i have had it all along and had people harvesting and plowing for a year!

If you go below the required number of neighbors, you lose that trophy and will have to add more neighbors to regain it back.

Perhaps you lost a neighbor. 10 neighbors are needed to plow.

Maybe they grow farm cash! Maybe you get 5 farm cash for each basket. Now wouldn't that be cool? (not wanting to start any rumors, of course). ;)

Hey raul, how bout bringing in the new features that were said about a yr ago eg, feeding animals, animals eating crops.milking cows etc. this would make the game a lot more interesting.

And may I second that. I got severely chastised by a moderator a couple of weeks ago for mentioning the competition but perhaps the developers should see what they are up against. Having working neighbors is nice and I miss it on the other unmentionable game (but you did) but having neighbors help raise a barn or build a horse stable is pretty cool. I have over 6 million in coins. Planting, harvesting and plowing just adds to it - with nothing to spend it on. And, I have tried the design route - check out my hills and valleys - on both farms.

I love the Wagon full of roses. I always like lots of flowers, but got tired of watering them all the time. The wagon makes beautiful rose beds. I got one comepltly done, but I can't finish the second the way I want. I can't seem to lay dirt paths on things anymore? Dirt paths have always been my best building tool, and they don't seem to work? Anyone else have this trouble?

Make sure "remove spaces" is checked.

You probably didn't turn them off - the introduction of the changes made on January 22nd appears to have turned all of them off. If you read right through the forum you'll see it happened to all of us.

Why can't we send more gifts. Every time I try to send gifts the amount gets less. What is going on. Why add gifts if you can't send them and why have so many neighbors that you cannot gift items to. Please fix this.

Farmville is always getting something interesting to do and you can send more gifts there. Everybody now is building their stables, doing their collectables and barn raising. Farmtown has gotten boring. I now plant 4 day crops and come by ever 3-4 days to harvest. Other games are more interesting. Farmtown used to be my favorite but not now. Most of my neighbors are doing Farmville and have left Farmtown.

I know Facebook controls it but the developers must have some input. On Farmville I could send at least 30 gifts, same with Cafe World and tonight I was only able to send 8 gifts plus 2 neighbor requests. 8 gifts for 40+ neighbors is not right.

I too have a right lot of trees layered on both my F1 and F2 - with some holes in between. I had moved some trees from there to try to organize better, and now can't fill the holes. But I can fill other holes. Go know. High Class Problem for those of us who are doing a no-no.
I only did this (trees layered on one layer of cros) to pass some time.
I have NO complaints, only good things to say. Love the graphics; the plants at each stage of growth, etc. Love my avitar.
Some people may not realize; they keep asking for changes, additions of features and items, and betterment of all sorts. And as long as things are added to the game, it will always be in Beta status; and for getting to play such a fantastic game for free, I am happy to give feedback and deal with occasional glitches. They are always fixed, the game always improved. Devs dont reply directly, but they listen, and they add and fix. And make things way better and more fun. ;)
