My flowers are missing, how do I get them back?

https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameguide/missing/preference icon 2019.PNG This is your preferences icon which you will find top right of your game screen. Click on it and it will open to a window where you can change your game settings. Make sure there is a check mark in the box for "Show Flowers". If there is not, add it and click the green check mark to save.

If you clicked on a flower and used the "Hide" option from the menu OR you used the "Hide Tool" (looks like a closed eye) in the tool box to hide them you need to do one of the following:
If you only have one farm, you need to click on "Play" to reload your game and the hidden items will show back up.

If you have 2 farms or or more you can refresh your farm instead of clicking on "Play" to reload the whole game. In this case you will see a green grid top left of your game screen titled "SHOW NAMES". Underneath that, each of the rectangles represents one of your farms. The one that is coloured yellow represents the farm you are currently on, click on it and it will reload that farm. Hover over that grid and it will expand so you can see it easier and have a bigger rectangle to click on. Or you can click on "SHOW NAMES" and it will show you a big window listing all your farms. Just click on the name of the farm you want to refresh or go to.

Make sure that flowers have not been accidentally placed behind other trees, or larger trees or buildings. Smaller flowers that have “vanished” can be found by moving the trees and buildings around them.

Check your storage to be sure you did not put them into storage. Flowers can be placed in storage.

If none of the above help, try clearing your Browser Cache (https://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=421890) then reload the game and check again for the missing items.

https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameguide/missing/preference icon 2019.PNG This is your preferences icon which you will find top right of your game screen. Click on it and it will open to a window where you can change your game settings.

Show Buildings - For decorative buildings and houses.

Show Regular Facilities - For Regular Facilities and Non-Workable Facilities.

Show Service Facilities - For Service Facilities.

Show Animal Buildings - For Animal Buildings (chicken coup, dairy shed, wool shed, stables etc).

If there is no check mark, add it and click the green check mark to save.

If you clicked on any type of building and used the "Hide" option from the menu OR you used the "Hide Tool" (looks like a closed eye) in the tool box to hide them you need to do one of the following:
If you only have one farm, you need to click on "Play" to reload your game and the hidden items will show back up.

My trees are missing, where did they go?

https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameguide/missing/preference icon 2019.PNG This is your preferences icon which you will find top right of your game screen. Click on it and it will open to a window where you can change your game settings. Make sure there is a check mark in the box for "Show Trees". If there is not, add it and click the green check mark to save.

If you clicked on a tree and used the "Hide" option from the menu OR you used the "Hide Tool" (looks like a closed eye) in the tool box to hide them you need to do one of the following:
If you only have one farm, you need to click on "Play" to reload your game and the hidden items will show back up.

Just click on the name of the farm you want to refresh or go to.

Make sure that trees have not been accidentally placed behind other trees, or larger trees or buildings. Many smaller trees that have “vanished” can be found by moving the trees and buildings around them, the same can be said of flowers.

Check your storage to be sure you did not put them into storage. Trees can be placed in storage.

My animals are gone!

https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameguide/missing/preference icon 2019.PNG This is your preferences icon which you will find top right of your game screen. Remove the check marks for all the items in the top section for "Show....." then click the green check mark. This will hide everything on your farm except for paths and ground cover which will make it easier to search for the animals.

https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameguide/missing/edit hand toolbox.PNG The animals may be all at the same spot on the screen on top of each other. Open your toolbox and click on the yellow hand to use it then click on an animal and move it to a new spot to see if there is one underneath. When you are done with the tool, click the green man to stop using it. That's not to say that they won't start wandering around on their own while the game is open and maybe end up on top of each other again. But at least you will be able to see them and they will all be accounted for every day when you first log in. To stop the animals from wandering around go to your preferences and add a check mark for "Freeze Animals" then click the green check mark to save.

Sometimes animals just go "missing" from time-to-time and then show up again later when you go back in. Don't panic if you don't see them !

Check your storage to be sure you did not put them into storage. Animals can be placed in storage.

If none of the above help, try clearing your Browser Cache (https://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=421890) then reload the game and check again for the missing items..

I can't see a certain type of crop!

Most often when a certain crop isn't visible, you need to try clearing your Browser Cache (https://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=421890) then reload the game and check again for the missing crops.

NOTE: After you clear your browser cache/history, the first load of Farm Town can be slower due to having to load a fresh set of graphics for everything that is on your farms.

How to Search for a Missing Item

https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameguide/missing/preference icon 2019.PNG This is your preferences icon which you will find top right of your game screen. Click on it and it will open to a window where you can change your game settings. If the Item is on your farm and not in Storage, first thing you need to do is make sure you have the right selection showing in your preferences. Add a check mark to the ones you want to show, remove the check marks for the rest so it's easier for you find an item, and click the green check mark to save :

Show Crops
Show Trees
Show Flowers
Show Ponds
Show Seasonal Items
Show Ships
Show Ground Covers
Show Decorations
Show Buildings
Show Tools
Show Regular Facilities
Show Service Facilities
Show Animal Buildings

https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameguide/missing/search toolbox.PNG This is the search tool which you can find in your Toolbox. Click on the Search tool and type in the name of the item you are looking for.

You also have two options in that window to "Highlight matching items" OR to "Hide non-matching items". (The latter is going to be easier for you if you have a lot of items on the farm.). Then click the green check mark.

https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameguide/missing/search window.PNG

All matching items for your search should then be showing, either highlighted or the only things showing on your farm, depending on your choice. When you are done, click on "Show Items" bottom right of your game screen and the rest of your items will be shown again.

https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameguide/missing/storage tool bar.PNG Also check your Item Storage and see if it is in there. Click on the Storage Icon and click on the Items tab. You can use the drop down filter to search your storage by different types.

If none of the above help, try clearing your Browser Cache (https://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=421890) then reload the game and check again for the missing items. When you have done that, the first time you load your farm it will load slightly slower as all the graphics have to be reloaded.
