Here's a question/answer game that's a fun way for we farmers to get to know each other. :)

One person asks a general question (not directed at anyone in particular).
The next person answers the question, then poses one of his own for the next person.:)

HELPFUL TIP to prevent two people from answering and posting at the same time: Beofore you post your answer, click "preview post," then scroll down until you see the the previous posts and whether someone has already posted the answer. :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'll begin.
What was the last thing that made you laugh?
I was washing some of my son's old toys so his daughter can play with them... and he kept picking them up and saying, "Oh, I remember this!" and then playing with it. His sheer delight at revisiting the toys of his childhood made me laugh right out loud. ( He's 27, by the way. )
What was a turning point in your life?
Ha, ha.... as little as possible. No, actually, I smoked some salmon this morning, and packed up some toys to put into the playroom that I washed cause they'd been in our crawlspace and were disgusting,then did some farming and now I'm waiting for Les ( the hub ) to finish working in the yard so we can go out for a glass or six of wine tonight. Oh, and saw my grandgirls briefly this afternoon.
SHhhhhhhhh... it's a secret. We like to go to the top of Burnaby Mountain, where there's a park, and sit in our camper van, have a glass of wine, and watch the Vancouver city lights come on. We just sit there and talk... when the kids were all at home, it was the only way we could have an uninterrupted conversation. And these days, it gets us away from all the stuff at home we should be doing.
I really hate to confess this... but because I have a glass of wine pretty much every night, or at least three or four times a week.. I've built up quite a tolerance. I can usually drink one whole bottle ( 750 ml ) and feel very little in the way of effects. Once I get into that 2nd bottle, I start making indecent suggestions and finding my clothing too restrictive. That's when Les takes me home before I get in trouble. Or maybe he takes me home to get me into trouble....?
That's a hard one. My Mum is dying slowly from Kidney failure (a genetic thing which I also have) and I'm an only child. She is still at home, so I do her banking and shopping. I share the housework with her next door neighbour, who also runs her around to the Doctors etc. Val is great. I live a fair distance from Mum, and am usually there 3 times a week. Greg works shift, usually afternoons and 3 nights per F/N. He is home most mornings. My afternoons used to be filled with walking and dancing. That has gone out the window since I came back to the forum. I also like the garden when the sun is out.
I'm so sorry about your mom. It's so difficult to see one's parent(s) suffer, and to be their caregiver as well. xxxxxx
I'm a shocking cook:( I would probably do either a roast or BBQ, and various salads. Desert would be fresh fruit salad and icecream.
What's your greatest ambition?
Tony D
Sep 05 2010, 07:00 PM
My first long-term boyfriend I'd had a crush on since I was 17 but we didn't start seeing each other until a couple of years later. We stayed together until he moved away to study, and it kind of fell apart due to distance. I hear he's doing very well these days, professing in the subject I badgered him into studying, haha.
What's your greatest ambition?That my children outshine their father.
OK sorry I know it is against the rules but I just gotta go back to this one as it is State Fair time here. Our fair is one of the largest in the country and famous for nearly everything "on a stick", and everything else deep fried. You have not lived until you have had deep fried cheese curds or alligator on a stick.
