Linking your Facebook Account to the Forum

Stage 1: Finding your Facebook ID

To find your Facebook ID number, go to your Facebook wall, then click on your name in the top right hand side.

Click on your profile picture.

The link will be shown in the search box of your internet browser.
As you can see in the link below there will be numbers within the link. Our example ID number is 000000 - yours may not be this long or short.

The third number at the end is your ID number. Make a note of it and move on to Stage 2.

Stage 2: Linking your farm to the Forum

You can now create a link to your farm, here is the code you will need:

http://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/play/?farm_id=000000&farm_ix=Y

Just copy the code and replace 000000 with your Facebook ID (you found it in stage 1).

Stage 3: Putting your link in your "Signature"

If you don't want your link to come up in every post you make you don't have to do this stage, if you do, keep on reading! Once you have your link you can just paste it into your post. If you'd rather it appear in every post automatically, do this final stage.

1. Click on "User CP" along the top of your screen.

2. Then click on "Edit Signature" which is down the left hand side of your screen.

3. Paste your link into the text box and click "Save Signature"

Stage 4: You can now create links for all your farms if you wish

Copy the same code you just made in Stage 2 and just change the "Y" at the end, after “&farm_ix= ” to...

”Y” for your default farm“0” for your 1st farm,
“1” for your 2nd farm, “2” for your 3rd farm,
“3” for your 4th farm,“4” for your 5th farm
and so on.

Please note that your signature cannot contain more than 500 characters.

Linking your Myspace Account to the Forum

Please note, if you are using a vanity ID that hides your I.D number, and you don’t know it, you will have to contact Myspace to request it.

Stage 1: Finding your Myspace ID

To find your MySpace ID you'll need to go to your MySpace friend tab and click it. In the Address bar you will see the URL with your ID - this is shown below.

http://friends.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewfriends&friendID=0000000

The numbers highlighted in red, which will be different numbers for you, which appear at the end of the URL, is your MySpace ID. Keep a note of this number and we'll use it in the next stage.

Stage 2: Linking your farm to the Forum

You can now create links for all your farms, here is the code you will need:

http://profile.myspace.com/Modules/Applications/Pages/Canvas.aspx?appId=136385&appParams=fi:0000000

Replace :0000000 in the code posted just above with your MySpace ID (you found it in stage 1).

Stage 3: Putting your link in your "Signature"
