Thanks Jas, there is very little coverage on Aussie TV, I've tracked it on the net to a certain degree, but haven't heard from my friend today.

The storms wind field is about 430 miles wide.

I also noticed that there are new members on Farm Town working their new farms 24/7 trying to get a Red Mansion and other stuff.... and reach level 235..... they claim that they are better farmers than us old timers, just because they are former game developers and programmers. :confused:

DANG! i was really expecting an update when i got up this morning. bummed that there isn't one :( i'm hoping it comes while i am at our state fair today. that way i can mess around with it when i get back. its been 2 weeks since i had crops in as i have been waiting for farm 11 so i can rearrange things before planting..

I started playing in the March as the game started in the Feb.
back in the days when crops all had gaps next to them. when neighbours hired each other, when my avatar would wander all over the farm looking for a path.

PS i never bought the ugly Mansion ...soo pretentious & ugly...LOL ;)

The real talent is more than the imagination... it is the successful coding of the game that makes ideas "come alive".

Maybe the devs will open a contest or challenge for player to re-design some of the buildings, put others into a more unified scale, or just come up with new pictures of future items. Coding is not that affected by the color or image of a new design...... but when you think about the Bed and Breakfast next to a Dairy Plant....hehehehehehe

or a limo next to the sports car...:confused:

Well the large apples is when somebody harvests for you, the others you did it yourself, it is the same with all the harvested products... large means hired hands did it. I have tons of the acorn squash on storage, just waiting to be used, and I am glad is the first thing that comes up when I go to sell if not it would have been gone. I love to use the "sell all" button. The less clicking the better, my fingers are hurting, lol

I just saved two whole hours of wasted time ..... by NOT.... coming to the forum or the threads, or the real estate office....

I sat out on my deck (NOT a FT Gazebo) and relaxed with a great hamburger (NOT from the Hamburger Restaurant) and a very large cold drink (NOT from the Soft Drink Factory), and snacked on treats (NOT from the Snack Machine), and considered having a glass of wine (NOT from one of my wineries).

And I too remember planting field of raspberry after field of raspberry to get my million coins and to level 35 to get that fabulous mansion, and now I wait with baited breath for my 11th farm, methinks we have become a bit spoiled, but I wouldsn't have it any other way!!! ... and the key words in the above post are SELF IMPOSED. You know we all had lives before Farm Town, and many of us had lives way before home computers were even thought of. I'd even venture to suggest (ducks for cover and is now hiding behind the chair while typing the rest of this) that perhaps we should all be able to put this GAME into perspective, and set foot out of the house, or at least away from our computers and spend some probably much needed time in the real world, even if just a short time.

It's Saturday morning here, and I for one am off to do a little shopping buying a birthday gift for my little grandson, then lunch out and perhaps a trip to the movies. I have no intention of being home again until early evening or of playing my favourite game until then either :(

Mind you this doesn't mean that I will not very eagerly come to check it out as soon as I get home again in the hope that maybe there will be a very welcome upgrade waiting for me ...... but in the meantime people there is a little saying we should all think of at the moment that goes 'get a life'. Yes, I want an update too....BUT....I want the devs to take their time and do it right. I'm sure it will be awesome, as all updates are. The only thing worse than waiting for an update, is getting an update with glitches.

I am awed at the devs imagination and how the game has developed. I look forward to updates mostly to see what they have come up with next. So, my hat is off to the devs!

I have not been able to see FT posts in the news feed either..for about a week now. The drop down menu on most recent shows maybe 2 or 3 per day. I have not hidden FT in the feed....It must be a facebook, not FT thing..but very annoying if you play games. The same began for a friend yesterday..she can't see anymore game posts. If facebook keeps this latest change...how are we supposed to get bonuses or help with facilities..or play any game - without having to go to every single friends wall??:mad:

Perhaps some of the vastly experienced peoples should take a sheet of paper (or a word or notepad screen ) and put at the top of a page

FARMTOWN ---- A NEW DIRECTION

and on that page put an essay about what things they feel could broaden our gaming enjoyment and is meant to be an all-encompassing look not just single unconnected suggestions but more an all round overview of what the experienced ppls feel might be good for the game and good for the players
and perhaps the mods will set us up a new thread somewhere where the devs can take a look at them and we forum users can discuss them (other than the suggestions area)
here is a couple of criterea (others will have a better idea of these than i will but these are for starters)

must be do-able
changes /enhancements must be accessible to all ( some things will be farmcash like always ) but theres got to be somethig for the 'little people " too

anyway i will leave it at this for now and hope to see some interesting inputs

I am writing a proposal for farmtown Raul and dev to look at and hope they will see how the game change for the experience players. just giving us more facilities crops and farms is giving us the same and nothing new.. no challenges.
... and I must say getting a little boring.

I am hoping to finish the proposal ASAP so they may start to work on them and will not need much programming.

It will be a money spinner for them and again generate even more interest and new plays..

The problem getting friends involved for some of us is that we maxed out and they would have no chance to compete or have reason to catch up.

I know where Michigan is Stoneface :D I even know it is the 'Mitten' State. My AUSSIE son spent four great weeks on a Rotary young business exchange there in 2008 (I think ??).

There were four of them and one of them has just married a Michigan girl :) Mind you he's brought her back here with him to live, although I believe they have just arrived back there today to visit her family.

I've been sitting quietly, reading and laughing, for many weeks - y'all are sooo funny!!! I just wanted to tell you how much I have enjoyed all the jokes and the 'creative whining' as we wait (interminably, it seems!) for the ever elusive Farm 11. It does seem that we're being kept waiting for a ridiculously long time, but I'm sure there are good reasons for not releasing all the new stuff.

With the addition of your neighbors (hope that they are all well behaved), you have also increased your inventory ot items by 180 !!! That really helps when you go to move things around ...

I need sleep...I cannot go on sleep deprived for much longer; if you and Raul talk...please let him know that there are actually those of us who are going to get ill, if it is not released soon....or end up in jail for doing something stupid due to our dazed state. :eek: :eek: ;)

Since it is evening, and most if not all posters are adults or good facsimiles of an adult..... here is the following joke offering this evening


A Farm Town farmer is sitting at a Pool Bar getting soused. Another avatar comes by and asks the farmer, "Hey, why are you sitting here on this beautiful day getting drunk and not out planting, harvesting, and plowing?"

Farmer: "Some things you just can't explain."

Man: "So what happened that's so horrible?"

Farmer: "Well, today I was sitting by my cow milking her. Just as I got the bucket about full, she took her left leg and kicked over the bucket."

Man: "Ok, but that's not so bad."

Farmer: "Some things you just can't explain."

Man: "So what happened then?"

Farmer: "I took her left leg and tied it to the post on the left."

Man: "And then?"

Farmer: "Well, I sat back down and continued to milk her. Just as I got the bucket about full, she took her right leg and kicked over the bucket."

Man: "Again?"

Farmer: "Some things you just can't explain."

Man: "So, what did you do then?"

Farmer: "I took her right leg this time, and tied it to the post on the right."

Man: "And then?"

Farmer: "Well, I sat back down and began milking her again. Just as got the bucket about full, when the stupid cow knocked over the bucket with her tail."

Man: "Hmmm . . . "

Farmer: "Some things you just can't explain."

Man: "So, then what did you do?"

Farmer: "Well, I didn't have any more rope, so I took off my belt and tied her tail to the rafter. In that moment, my pants fell down and my wife walked in."

I imagine the internet connection is limited and you would need to 'sell your ***' in order to get one in the first place ... might be worth it for FT - I'm ready to sell my facility goodies ... ????? Living in hope - ever yours, Charlie x

awww I went out last night and came back home hoping to find a new update and even when I finally awoke this morning till no update if we are to get one by the end of this month then hopefully it will happen before Wednesday (or Thursday my time)
