Current Issues with posting Belt and Dan Bonuses

Belt and Dan Levels
These are levels that can be earned by harvesting, chopping or fishing by you or hired help when done on your own farm. You can also earn belts for products you make in facilities. The hired workers’ Belt/Dan counters do not increase by working your farm. Each level achieved earns you the chance of more crops/fruit/flowers/fish/products depending on the Belt or Dan achieved.

Example: If you have a 6th Dan Degree in wheat and harvest 100 wheat (on your own farm), you will have a 72% chance of receiving an extra box per field/plot. Instead of receiving 100 wheat you could receive up to an additional 72 more wheat giving you at total of 172 wheat. NB Fertilisation does not double the bonus received. For harvesting 100 fertilised wheat you would receive up to 272 wheat total.

Any level player can work to achieve Belt Levels. When you reach level 150 you can also earn Dan levels.

You can see what Belt or Dan levels you have achieved by looking in the Belt section located in the extended tool box. Click the yellow toolbox to open the extended toolbox. The Belt section has several tabs “seeds”, “trees”, ”flowers”, fish”, “products” click on each one to view your Belts/Dan levels. Hover your mouse over a picture of a crop/flower/fish/product and it will tell you how many of that item you have stored and how many are required to reach the next level. A white belt means there has been no belt level achieved yet.

The Belt and Dan levels for Seeds,Trees,Flowers and Fish are as follows:

Yellow Belt 5%
Orange Belt 10%
Green Belt 16%
Blue Belt 22%
Brown Belt 29%
Black Belt 36%

1st Dan Degree 41%
2nd Dan Degree 46%
3rd Dan Degree 52%
4th Dan Degree 58%
5th Dan Degree 65%
6th Dan Degree 72%


Posting Belts and Dan Levels:

When you reach Brown belt or higher, there will be a notification message and the chance to post to the news feed to get the extra bonus if you choose.

For the first 4 Belt levels (yellow, orange, green and blue), there will be no confirmation box or a chance to ask for a bonus, only a regular non-obstructive fading message on the top of the game.

You can post bonuses up to 5 times every 12 hours.

Belts and Dans for Facility Products:

About 20 Facilities (in order of appearance in the Store) now have Belts and Dans enabled for each product. With each Belt or Dan you achieve you will increase your chances of getting a "free" Batch automatically for every Batch you start from that point on. Free Batches means that a new Batch is sent to production without consuming any ingredients or coins. Below is the benefit table:

Blue Belt 10%
Brown Belt 14%
Black Belt 18%

2nd Dan Degree 24%
3rd Dan Degree 28%
4th Dan Degree 32%

You can receive up to 1,000 000 coins worth (or more for level 100 or higher players), by accepting or being sent bonus requests in a 12 hours period. The Belt/Dan bonuses will be sent straight to your “Harvest/product” storage. Once you have received 1million coins worth of products from bonuses (higher for higher level players) you will not be able to receive any more until the 12 hr limit has passed, but you can still send bonuses to those that have not yet reached their limit.
(This is totally separate from the “request ingredients” posts. Ingredients sent to you will be sent to your in game gift box ready for you to accept).

For users in higher levels instead of 1,000,000 this limit will be increased as follows:

Levels 100-199 -> 3,000,000 coins
Levels 200-299 -> 4,000,000 coins (new xp levels coming in the next release)
Levels 300-399 -> 5,000,000 coins (new xp levels coming in the next release)

Messages seen when collecting bonuses:

“You have reached your limit for receiving bonuses, no items were sent to your storage.”
When you see this message, this means that over the last 12 hours you have received either by sending or by being sent Belt/Dan bonuses your limit of 1 million coins ( or higher depending on your level). IF you are sure that no-one has sent you any bonuses and that you have not accepted any bonuses for over 12 hours, try clearing your browser caches, close browser, reload and try clicking on a NEW request.

“This offer has expired, please try another”.
Clicking a request that you have already tried to accept will return that message. If the bonus request is more than 12 hours old and your friend has posted new bonus requests you may also see that message.

Hi, whilst I was planting, and had a hire harvesting on one of my other farms, I had one of those Belt Increases, in Coffee, Black Belt, at the same time A time out occurred, now I posted the share, but the dratted belt increase thing Will not go away, it keeps popping up, I have gone to Market, logged out of facebook, Logged back in, gone back to the farm, On all farms after a a period of time, whilst planting etc it just keeps popping up. I know the belts are new etc, i don't not what purpose they really have(a bit like making us pay real money, and not making other features available through in game coins:() but is there a fix for this kind of glitch versus what you have chosen to make inaccessibly to players

Ricey I have found that if you going to the facilities selection, where the Tools box is, you can still do the facilities, I hope that helps, at least until the dev's fix this bug

I did everything suggested by staff, and others here. No matter what I do, it is not helping. I am stuck in a papaya belt from hell. It doesnt matter what I am doing, even answering messages.. the belt pops up.

I changed browsers but the same thing is happening. It started with my being asked to post on my wall.. my papaya black belt. So it got posted about 3 times. Then the message kept popping up congratulating me on my accomplishment. I do hope there is a fix happening really soon, as I have 8 farms to harvest and plow this morning.

Adding information: I hired a neighbor to harvest and plow an entire field of onions. While she was harvesting the belt notice appeared with every harvest that she put into my storage. However, when she was plowing the message did not appear at all. Wondering if this helps at all to get to the bottom of the problem. Hope so.

I have the same problem with the celery brown belt, keeps coming up, no matter what I do. Even when I visit neighbours farms to water or anything like, I am still being informed that I have reached this belt. I refreshed, logged out, logged back in, played something else, got back to my farm and bingo: there the message was again. Rather annoying to plow and plant round this message box. HELP!!!

Today: Every 2 seconds I get the message box that I have reached the cork oak brown belt and do I want to share. I have clicked the red x over and over, left farmtown, left facebook, and it keeps happening so that it is impossible to play the game.
Recently: I received the same message from a fellow farmer at least 100 times. I couldn't delete them as fast as they were piling up.
And - ALL of my unclaimed gifts disappeared.

I have 11 farms. On farm 2 today I harvest corn. Then I got a pop up saying that I had reached some 65% of some stupid degree. I clicked the red X to not share this. I then went on to harvest and plow my other 10 farms. This pop up kept popping up after every two 5X5 I harvested. When I went to harvest a farm of entirely flowers, this thing kept popping up, I stopped counting at the 57th time. I assumed that after I clicked on the red X it would no longer pop up. I refreshed my game, still popped up, I even rebooted my pc, still there! HOW CAN I GET RID OF THE STUPID THING!!! It is very frustrating. I'm having the same problem. I got the share popup at least 25 times this morning. It finally stopped only to be replaced with the congratulations popup that refuses to stop. Every time I click on something it reappears. Doesn't matter what, Plowing. planting, the wrench for the options menu, messages, it doesn't matter, up comes that stupid message. It even shows up when the game is loading! Tech support please fix this asap. Thanks.

The developers have been notified. In the meantime, could you please try clearing your caches and also the macromedia files for BOTH cdn.slashkey AND facebook. See if that corrects the problem. If it does please let us know.

I don't know how to clean macro-media files on chrome, am on IE 8 now and get the same thing pop-up there before farm can load and connection to server eror there also. thought I would try IE, but that did not solve the problem.

I don't know how to clean macro-media files on chrome, am on IE 8 now and get the same thing pop-up there before farm can load and connection to server eror there also. thought I would try IE, but that did not solve the problem.

How to delete slashkey and facebook files from Macromedia Cache
If your flash player is very recent and you don't feel you need to reinstall please follow these steps to clear the what Adobe calls "trash items" from your flash player.

1. Click on this link... "http://www.macromedia.com/support/do...manager07.html"
2. Note that the screen that comes up is an acutal tool not a screen print. It should say Website Storage Settings panel.
3. You will see a list of files on the tool. For this particular problem we would like you to try deleting 2 files. You can either scroll down and find "cdn.slashkey.com" also look for any file listing "facebook", click on each of the file names and then on delete.

Just to clarify.......When you deleted your macromedia files , did you delete all sites or just cdn.slashkey? Did you remember to close your browser and reload after deleting them?

I did all those same actions, as well as trying to play in offline mode. STILL getting the annoying black belt notice almost every 30 seconds. Kinda hard to harvest that way. HELP please!

My mother is having the same problem as everyone else, but is not really a computer person. She asked me to have a look at her facebook and I found exactly what everyone is telling in here. However, the problem occurs in her farm town account on both her and my computer, but I have no problem with my own account.

This indicates to me that it is simply a game bug and not a cache problem.

The message You have a Dan Degree in Avocados recurs over and over again 100's of times every time I click for another action in Farm Town. I went out of Farm Town and completely closed down my computer for 12 hours and it still occurs several hundred times. I really need help from FT originators to fix this glitch. Hi, whilst I was planting, and had a hire harvesting on one of my other farms, I had one of those Belt Increases, in Coffee, Black Belt, at the same time A time out occurred, now I posted the share, but the dratted belt increase thing Will not go away, it keeps popping up, I have gone to Market, logged out of facebook, Logged back in, gone back to the farm, On all farms after a a period of time, whilst planting etc it just keeps popping up. I know the belts are new etc, i don't not what purpose they really have(a bit like making us pay real money, and not making other features available through in game coins:() but is there a fix for this kind of glitch versus what you have chosen to make inaccessibly to players

I had this problem this morning and after totally shutting down and bringing everything back up it still is showing my "Congratulations you have just reached the sugarcane 4th Dan degree from now on"...etc. It is in the middle of the screen and you can't work around it. Just spent 40 mins. working around that stupid message getting all my facilities going and replanting - now it won't let me post the facilities request - this is ridiculous! "Just have to be patient" is not how we're all feeling right now. Why haven't they notified the players that there's no use in trying to work on the farm until this is fixed?

I couldn't find a link for this, but today I harvested some sunflowers and the belt messages keep popping up (won't post) every 2 seconds. I am done harvesting and trying to plant, and they keep popping up. It's extremely annoying and very interruptive. My caches are cleared. I have reloaded my farm. I still get these popups. I am having the same problem as Lilybet, the 6th Dan for Plums keeps popping up every 30 seconds and hasn't stopped in the last 24 hours. I cleared all of my caches (from the beginning of time) already. This was my first action in trying to rectify this. Please help, this is my favorite game and my sanity break.

If you click on someone elses bonus and they don't get it but you do then that means they have reached their limit. The limit is 1 million coins in a 12 hour period.
Only the Brown, Black and Dan levels will post for you. The lower levels do not post. Also you can only post 5 belts within a 12 hor period.
When you see a belt pop up are you seeing 2 buttons (green and red) or just 1 button (green)? If you see both buttons and click on the green one what happens next?

Do you see your own posts on your profile page?
On your Facebook home page in the left column hover your mouse over Newsfeed. A small symbol that looks like a pencil will show up to the left of it. Click on that and select Edit. In the pop up that opens scroll through the list and find FarmTown in it, then click on the X next to it to remove it from that list.

Or just use Google Chrome and not Internet Explorer and it will work. That's the only thing that has worked for my husband's. We have done everything ever posted here on this and not one thing has worked except for using Google Chrome and that works and he gets everything again. IE9 is definitely the problem with FT.

Keep in mind that only the basic plot planted counts toward that. The additional from being fertilized or does the bonus part that you get from previous belts doesn't count.

Hello,

The "Error. Please try again later." is a standard browser response given when there has been an error in the transfer of data from anywhere between your computer and FB servers. Detecting exactly where along that line it went wrong is pretty impossible. There is no way you can recall the post to be able to try again, but IF and only if, the error message was within the posting box, and the post button is still showing, click it anyway, the error message will not clear but sometimes the post will still go out.

It sounds like a temporary hiccup in the process and as you have already tried the usual recommendations i doubt you need to do anything else to try to rectify the problem.

If it becomes apparent that this only happens when you are using full screen and you have a bonus that you really need, then i would go ahead and drop out of full screen mode and post as soon as you get it.

That amount also includes any belt posts you sent that your neighbors responded to and sent to you. So if you have received any then that would be why you are over your limit.

Any belt posts you have posted and friends have helped you with plus any you have helped your neighbors with make up the 1 million coin value. Nothing else is included in that.
There is no way to know until you get to the limit.

Thank you for the info. I hadn't considered the "income" from friends responding to my posts, but it makes sense. Too bad there is no running total that we can access somewhere. The developers are doing an outstanding job in giving us information. I like being able to see how much of an item I have in storage so I can determine which crops need to be planted.

You must be level 150 or higher to get the dan levels. So when you get to level 150 then you will be able to move up in level.

I've just harvested peanuts myself as no one was available to do it. Before I harvested I was told I needed 571 more harvests to get to black belt. I harvested over 800. Was that 800 plots that you harvested or was it 400 plots fertilized that gave you 800? The fertilized bonus doesn't count for the belts.

This is odd. But please notice that if you fertilized your crops, although you have 2 boxes when harvested, you only count 1 belt point.

There is a limit on how much you can receive in a 12 hour period. This is 1 million coins worth and consists of two things. How much you have received by helping others with their belt posts and how much you receive from them when they help you with your posts. If you have received your limit then those who click on your post after that point will receive their reward but you won't.

The difficult area with the 12 hour time is that you would ideally need to know what time any bonuses were sent from previous ones to be able to know if they had been sent to you in the last 12 hours.

Now, if you don't think that that is the cause, try clearing your browser caches out, that will get rid of any old data related to FT that may have caused the problem and force new to be stored.

Double check all aspects of the time,day, month and year are also still showing correct on your computer. If any one of those is off it could mess with timings.

Here's what we actually did: My husby and I each set up a second FB account and then got those "secondary" people playing FT. We figured that way we could get more gifts, have more neighbors to work in our facilities, etc. (Most of the neighbors we had when we started playing nearly 3 years ago have dropped out of the game, sadly.) We are still going strong, so we figured this would be one way to get our barns and coops filled more quickly, plus we could sell stuff to our "primaries" too. That's what we were hoping for with the belts, especially ... thus our disappointment when the belts didn't go from the secondaries to the primaries. But we'll keep trying. (Ingredients, by the way, do the same thing. They go to the secondaries' storage but don't get sent to the primaries' gift boxes.)

First thing to do is move your mouse over Farm Town in the left column of your Facebook home page. A small pen symbol will appear to the left of that. Click on that pen and choose Edit Settings. Scrool down to the bottom of the window that opens and make sure App Activity Privacy is set to Friends or to a Farm Town list you have created.
Next in the upper right of each post you have already done, that is still valid there is a symbol (varies). Move your mouse over that and if it is not set to the correct group then change it.
When you make a new post check the setting for that at the bottom of the post and make sure it hasn't been changed. Facebook seems to like to mess with who our posts go to.

Because you don't always want to post them and you can only post 5 within a 12 hour period, so the choice is given to you which ones you want to post. If you decide you want to post one, drop down to normal screen size, click to share and when that is done go back to full screen and resume what you were doing. Not difficult at all.

It has always done this since long before the belts were introduced. You also can't chat in full screen either and you can't get the help information from question mark for a crop or anything. These are limitations because full screen takes a lot of resources.
The only way it won't do it is if you click the X to not post.

For any Belt or Dan post you should see a green check and a red X. If it is not a postable belt or if you have already posted 5 in the last 12 hours then yes you should only have a green check. Whether that dumps you out of full screen or not I don't know as I only post what I need so stay within the limits.

With the new Dec 31at update, the belt and Dan bonuses have gone crazy. I have a large farm, stored all products and collected all cash this AM (I have all farm tools) before I noticed that there had been an update. My computer has gone nuts, I keep getting pop up screens stating that this product or that product has reached a certain Belt or Dan level, and I can't get this to stop. This has continued for more than an hour after storing all products and collecting all cash and is very distracting. It is because there have been new belts and dans added for some facility products. As you store them then you are reaching those belt levels.

product belts/dans were not displaying properly in my "Your Belts" pop-up. I cleared caches, checked them again and they were all still showing as no belts. However, upon opening up a facility and seeing a product showing a belt, I went back to "Your Belts" and now they are all showing up again. Not a major issue, but a glitch all the same

The only belts that can be posted to your friends are the Brown, Black, and Dan level belts. The lower level belts cannot be posted to your Facebook. This is the way it has been since the start of the belts.

You also have the restriction of 5 posts for belts per 12 hours, so if you have already posted 5 then that would be why you don't get the opportunity to post new ones.

Check to make sure Farm Town hasn't gotten blocked from your news feed.

Taz, I think it will sort itself out. It occurred to me that I had no posts at all a couple of days ago on my profile page. It is probably tied up with the same issues.

Nothing is hidden that I can see. I am also using Timeline although going by the fB forum, people are having problems of blank Profile pages when they do not use it, hence maybe gremlins in the works with fB.

one thing to check as i noticed this myself is yesterday when i first loaded my facilities after the belts were released the display case in the tool box where it shows all the belts and dans for all catagories the product belts didnt register in there but did show in the individual facilities

but when i checked this morning they were showing correctly in the display case so could clear its self

apart from clearing your browsers temp files and macromedia files (instructions in my signature)

if it hasnt cleared up within a few hours report back :)

You can only post 5 belts or dans within a 12 hour period. Any more that you get after that you will not be able to post.

After filling a certain few items in my facilities (and I did these certain products SPECIFICALLY FOR the "share belt bonus" posting bc I thought I was pretty close to reaching them). I reached black belt on one product (the fourth product I filled), then on the second facility reached the 1st dan degree. the belt colors changed beside the boxes, and I got the notice about the bonus productions, but DID NOT receive ANY pop up AT ALL about the belt or sharing it until...I refreshed the game 4 times (once for each product's "belt notification"-the white words floating at the bottom- to finally show up). the pop up to share the bonus on the product I received a belt for did not come up until I refreshed and went to another farm besides my default after cycling through refreshing the game for each of the other products I filled. Not sure if this issue has already been addressed, but it's quite annoying. Would be greatly appreciated if someone could please let the devs know so it can be fixed. Hi after clicking the bonuses or storing bonuses recieved did you go directly to the products intended or did you fill other facilities first? as it is possable other facility products used the ingredients you recieved from the bonuses.

Ok thanks just needed to know that info as there is a current problem which i believe still exists for some players with harvests diapearing from storage i will notify the mods :)

In the mean time try clearing your temporary internet files and macromedia files instructions are in my signature and also just verify the date and time on your pc are correct :)

I've tried all the usual things, including going out and coming back, clearing cache, etc. etc. etc. etc. I didn't get any of the additional stuff I should have gotten - everything is still at 100% - and it was showing alot of the fly by messages saying that other items were increasing going up on belts, but nothing ever increased...:(

P.S. I'm already at 6th Dan on alot of things - but still only have 100%

I've just filled a couple mine to get them to the next belt/degree and I never got a notification to post. And the facilities I filled are not showing more than 100% either. I'm on the 5th Dan Degree of the Red Windmill and 2nd Dan Degree of the Sugar refinery and didn't get a notification for either.

Information from the development team regarding how the product belts work.

Post Release Fixes - Jan 5, 6:50PM EST:

- After earning Facility Product Belts/Dans and starting Products in Facilities, the Facility utilization will never pass 100% and the total pending products will never pass the maximun capacity of the facility, that was never the original intent and will bring issues in the long run if we don't fix it. Right now, if you have capacity for 100 more batches in a Product and your benefit % is 40%, when you press the Start All button, it will start 100 batches, about 40 of them WILL NOT consume any ingredients, and 60 WILL consume ingredients.

Notice that this is almost functionally equivalent to what we had before but it could be perceived otherwide. Before, when you pressed the Start All button, it started 140 Batches, about 40 of them will not consume any ingredients, and 100 (instead of 60) will consume ingredients, but the facility will be overloaded (utilization > 100%) and you will have to wait until it finish all those "overloaded" products to Start more productions for that product, hence, at least from the bonus perspective, they are equivalent.

Effectively the demand on crops etc is reduced

For all the belts (crops, trees, fish and production) you can only post 5 belts within a 12 hour period. Any belt lower than a Brown belt does not post either.

How are we supposed to get help with any of these if we can only do 4? I got alot of them last night doing facilities and wasn't able to even get a bonus off most of them. You can only post 5 belt bonuses within a 12 hour period. That is the way it has always been. When the crop belts first started everyong had the same problem with more than they could post. Now we have crops, trees, fish and products so you have to be even more selective.

I have been writing down what I start with every two hours and then go to get ingredients/bonuses and nothing is going into my storage. I have been writing all this down for one week now and I never get anything put in storage from getting the gifts of bonus and/of Ingredients from my home page when I click on them, Please would someone try and help me or tell me what I can do about it. I am getting things when I go to the market, or do my own farms or have someone else do my farms though. Thank you
Are you leaving your farm open when you do this? If you do then it won't update with the amount until you reload your farm.

hello no matter what I do I am not getting bonuses or Ingredients from my home page neighbors I click on them and nothing happens it says I got them but when I go and check it is never in my storage, This is the third post I have tried to put on and they keep disappearing. Thanks
The moderators move your posts to the "Official" threads for the subject of your post. If you look in the upper right of the forum screen you will see your login name. Click on that then click on the statisics tab. On that page is a line "Find all posts by kattersmay" Click on that and it will list all of your posts, newest to oldest and will show you what thread they are in.

I am having an issue when I reach belt bonuses where the pop-up sharing screen does not appear. I am aware that it won't come up when in full screen but whenever I would go out of full screen they would still be there. Today while in the facility manager (not full screened), I could see the message come across that I had reached a couple of bonuses. But when closing facility manager, they were gone. It happened again when I was in full screen harvesting. As soon as I saw it I minimized the screen but it was gone. The message flashed across the screen a couple of times that I had reached a bonus but no sharing screen came up. Anyone else having this problem?

The lower levels will not show for posting, but will show at the bottom of the screen that you have reached them. The only ones that you can post for bonuses are the brown belts and above.

I don't seem to be getting belt bonus offered on Sawmill products, yet some of my neighbours have published belts for oak, pine, ebony and maple - but they don't appear for me - what is the criteria for knowing which products are able to have belt bonus? some of mine don't appear?

Hi there,

What you are probably seeing is belt bonuses for chopping, (log piles not the lumber piles from the sawmill). To see all your belt bonuses, open your extended tool box and click on "My Belts" then on the "products" tab for the product bonuses. Hover over a picture there and it will also tell you how many batches until you reach the next belt and how many of that product you have in storage. When you reach brown belt or higher, you will have the opportunity to post it. The limit is 5 bonus posts every 12 hours.

What your neighbors are posting are for the logs and not the lumber from the sawmill. As far as knowing what products have belts look in the Belts chart (above the facility manager in the extended tool box) and pick the Products tab.

I see the bonus - though I have NEVER had any Oak, Pine, Maple or Cedar bonus to my knowledge - the belt checker says I have. Thanks for the input guys - appreciate it.

If you go to the belts chart and look for your trees and see how many you need to get to the next belt. The chart is right above the facility manager in the extended toolbox.

The product and facilities indicate that I reached a Dan or a belt, but will not publish to my screen. It has been over a week. I get the bonus in my facilities but I can not post on the screen to share with neighbors. Frustrating.

Some of my Dans from facilities, were up to level 3. The announcement will pop up. When I click "share" it does not post to my wall.
I have no problem posting crop, tree or fish dans and belts

If you go to your profile page do they show there? If so then they posted, but just didn't show in your newsfeed.
