Hi There,

We just released a new version of the game with the following features and bug fixes:

1. Holiday Items (All in Coins): Released last week. 24 new items compared to last year.

2. Improved Visibility Options: Last week we added a new option in the preference window 'Show Seasonal Items' to hide all Seasonal Items. Also, from now on, when you hide 'Decorations' all Winter items will be hidden as well.

3. 7 New Fences: 50s Fancy Fence, Concrete Stone Fence, Garden Wooden Fence, Stone Wrought Iron Fence, Lattice Fancy Fence, Gothic Fence and White Wooden Fence.

4. 26x26 Farm Expansions for first 4 farms: Here are the prices - 10,000,000,000 coins (10 billions) or 30 FarmCash.

5. Dans for Fish: When you earn all the 6 fish Belts you can now keep going to earn the next 6 Dans. This will keep increasing your chances of getting more fish with each future catch.

6. Crazy Fruits Minigame: Several weeks ago we enabled the multiplayer support for the Rounds Up minigame. Today we are launching our second minigame, Crazy Fruits, which already have multiplayer support enabled.

As usual, you have 3 stages and you can go into Practice mode to play each of the stages and improve personal records or you have the option to play multiplayer with all your friends currently in the farm, in this case, the user who finish all the 3 stages first win.

7. Hint about which farms have workable facilities: When working on your friends facilities we now show each farm with workable facilities in the farm selector.

8. Trading Improvements: The trading limits have been increased, here are the rules:

1. Maximun 12 hour limit increased from 1000 to 1500 to all players

2. Based on your Best Diversification Rank you can keep increasing that limit based on these rules:

Best Diversification Rank between 2000 and 5000, trading limit increased by 500 units
Best Diversification Rank between 5000 and 10000, trading limit increased by 1000 units
Best Diversification Rank between 10000 and 30000, trading limit increased by 1500 units
Best Diversification Rank between 30000 and 60000, trading limit increased by 2000 units
Best Diversification Rank between 60000 and 100000, trading limit increased by 2500 units

3. Based on the amount of business clothes you own. There are now 3 business clothes available in your Avatar Editor 'Clothes' section. For each business cloth you own your limit is increased by 1000 units, meaning, if you own the 3 business clothes your limit will be increased by 3000 units.

9. Brow Sprinkler is Back: The Brown Sprinkler is now back in the extended tool box and will function exactly as before, it will water and revive your flowers but will not accelerate anything.

The Red or Orange Sprinkler will still remain in the extended tool bar (right next to the Brown one) functioning as before, the Red one will cut the growing time for flowers and crops in half, the Orange one will cut the growing time for flowers, crops and trees in half. Both of them will water your flowers as well.

Notice that when you buy the Orange one, it will still replace the Red one in the extended tool bar and from that point on the Red one will function as the Orange one.

Post Release Fixes - Dec 9, 7:00PM EST:

- Farm Selector when working your friends facilities should now highlight the correct set of farms
- Even if the farm is not highlighted, you can still click on it to navigate to the farm and water flowers
- Stock the Casino Service Facility with 3 Drinks: Apple Martini, Bloody Mary and Mojito
- Minigames: You can now move the mouse below the minigame window and the game will still detect those movements
- Fruit Catching Minigame: When playing multiplayer, the Basket won't go under the friends bar

Also the regular facility hint shows farms that have non-workable facilities like the animal sheds, mines, trucks, etc. Don't know if this is not how it is supposed to work or if it is working right.
Even if these are supposed to be hints it will not let you go to any of the other farms at all.

Thanks, really appreciate that you can now hide winter items. The hint on which farms has workable factories should be extremely helpful. By my calculation nearly 50 million per plot for upgrades on farms 1-4 is a bit excessive and will certainly present a goal for those begging for more space.

There seems to be a few problems with working facilities.



If a farm has a facility of any kind on the farm the farm is highlighted. This does us no good because the people that have an oil pump on all farms will have all farms highlighted.
When someone click on a post to help with facilities they are taken to the farm the facility the person posted is on lets say it is on farm 4, but when they click yes to work facilities they are taken to farm 1. The only "facilities" on this farm are the animal buildings and an oil pump there are no working facilities. I don't understand that change if I am on farm 4 and click yes when the farm reloads (which I still don't get) I should still be on farm 4 not farm 1.

Most people put the farms that have facilities on them in the post when they post this has seemed to work great for me and others. I do like that you are trying to help us out and make it easier for everyone but it needs a little twicking. This is what I would like to see happen.

Have the farms that have facilities that can be worked by others highlighted if there are no "workable facilities" on a farm don't highlight it.


What I would really love to see happen is this.

Let us use the facility manger on other peoples farms. That way we can open the facility manger and go down it and work the facilities and service facilities quickly and easily from one farm and one post.


I do hope these goals you are going to introduce later will reduce the price of farms a little. Not every player is making 10 billion coins every week. I don't mind having to work for the land but 10 billion is just crazy and I am not going to spend farm cash on land. I don't have a problem with it for other things but the land prices have just gotten way to much. The very few that have 10,000 facilities shouldn't be catered too.

The oil pump is classified as a tool but I worked a neighbors farm tonight and she has only an oil pump on 3 of her farms and all farms where highlighted. I know there will be glitches sometimes hence my post letting the developers know about the glitches I found. I don't need you telling me what should and shouldn't be happening I am reporting what I have seen happen so the developers can fix it.

oil pump may be considered a tool - but it is listed in the facility manager on your own farm - and when working other peoples factories if they have 5 total factories plus animal barns and mines on 1 farm - it lists that there is work in 5 plus factories instead of just the 5 factories - i hope that they fix that so that either oil pumps, animal barns, and mines/pits would either be workable by others (through the factory hire posts) or to remove them from the list of factories that are workable when you get hired to work factories

I've been playing this game for 3 years already and have NEVER even come close to that amount of coins... and Im not rich enough to spend actual money on this game like so many other people... this seems a tad unfair to people that are not well off but still like to TRY to enjoy the game

Love the new updates, but unfortunately (as already pointed out) the highlighting farm with facilities feature is not working properly. Am sure the Devs will be tweaking it and resolving the problem/s.

What I encountered is when working client services for a friend, they indicated they had work on three farms. When I went to work these farms, only ONE was highlighted and I was unable to access the other two farms at all. I then clicked on their work facilities request and was able to access the farms, but had to manually click on each of the service facilities. Also, I went to two of their farms that only had the non-accessible facilities (mines, etc.) and none of the workabe ones.

I do love the concept as many players don't list their working farms and it takes forever if we want to wade through checking their farms for available work.

I do have to comment that I went "GULP" when I saw the cost of the farm expansions...WOW!!!! I'll bet it will be a while before many people can earn enough coins to get them and I am one who will not be able to afford the funds to buy FC; but it will definitely give those zealous addicts something to shoot for.

With the improvements in the ability to sell stuff for me and is looks like the start of the farms going to 32X32 which is great by the way, I won’t need to layer anymore. I will just buy what I need from my neighbors however, I will most likely still stay on the cycle of me posting my products from my facilities basically every three days so I can get all the crops I need, but now from my neighbors, not from my layers.

I can and only want to upgrade one farm, which is my farm 4, as the others basically don't have any crops on them at this time, however, I am sure that there will be more upgrade to the farms later.

Response to issues stinks. I swear, this game is getting more and more frustrating to play, and more depressing than it is enjoyable. I wish I had never started playing this game at all. I did so only because I love the farming games and was having major issues with FarmVille.

Of course that is an huge amount of coin.... but .... so what...

With a good amount of facilities and service facilities, a farmer can make billion$ and eventually buy it.

I see too much use of the word "unfair" when ever something becomes available and the long time players can get it "right now", while some of the newer players can't get it "right now".

Actually the first thought I had when I saw the 26x26 was this:

Is this a sign that farm 12 was the last farm.... and now we only can expect occasionally (4 at a time) expansions of the existing farms? I certainly hope NOT.

10 billion is steep but 30 FC seems reasonable to me. And to answer your original question, some players do have the 10 billion. I know because I'm one of them.

Add to 10 billion to enlarge a farm paying 20 FC to get more items at market. Never mind no one has sold me anything in the market for WEEKS. I offer to pay top price for anything and get no takers.

Is this game going off Beta and starting to charge a real money fee to play? I play to get away from the real world for a bit. It seems the real world, with all its avarice and whining about how I am supposed to support you rather than you encouraging me to stay loyal is seeping in under the door - but for 50 FC I can get a barrier to stop the seepage. Nice.

What I really love is diversity in the service facilities. I like it when the services use products from a variety of factories. Please! Why doesn't the casino have any cocktails or beer or wine? Really??? I've never been to a "dry" casino, but I suppose they might exist someplace.

7. Oh, I think it works incorrectly. I have some farms with Oil Pump, Mineral Mine, and Open - Pit Mine, it's still displayed in my friend's farm selector. Notice that it's already disabled the farm with no facility.
And one more bug: when you click on "Get more client" link, the first screen display all of farm. But WHEN YOU CLICK OK, YOU ONLY HAVE 1 FARM TO HELP! The only way to go next farm is replace the number after farm_ix=...
Please fix this bug, thank you!

Yay devs! I'm happy with the new goodies! and I'm happy to see the long awaited additional farm expansion options.

I'm not so happy that the expansion apply only to the first 4 farms. I probably won't expand them because I really don't feel like revamping my farms to make the expansions fit the design. I've never had 10 billion coins, and probably never will and I'm OK with that.

If the expansions had been applied to farms 9-12, I would be much more likely to invest farmcash to expand because those farms haven't been developed yet. I have the farm cash to purchase upgrades right now but probably won't. It's a time management thing. I've been too busy just trying to keep up with previous game upgrades.

I think the approach to this was from a business perspective for Slashkey and I get it. They need to make money. I think the business model however, needs to be thought out a little more. Perhaps a player focus group would help get a finger on the pulse of the consumer. After all, a product is only worth what the consumer is willing to pay.

I'm thinking that the farm diamond selectors will be your hints. Much the same way as you see when you're hired to harvest/plow/shake/etc. :)

Response to issues stinks. I swear, this game is getting more and more frustrating to play, and more depressing than it is enjoyable. I wish I had never started playing this game at all. I did so only because I love the farming games and was having major issues with FarmVille.

Agree with you. A question to a web designer - who is the more valuable player to a dev - the newbie or the established player? Objection #2 How is this expansion, which we thought from the beginning was NEVER going to happen, all of a sudden a problem?

Objection #3 It took "forever" to raise a million coin to buy that Big Red Mansion... lots of time, lots of effort, lots of coin (at that time).... and that was a "symbol" of success in this game. I think complainers ought to remember they can make tens of millions each week even without any Farm Cash Facilities..... so be patient, put in lots of time, lots of effort, and make the lots of coin necessary for this "symbol" of success.

I gotta say, I just LOVE the new fencing !!!! Thanks so much to the developers for this update ! Although the expansions were very expensive, I got all four. Didn't have the coin, so I broke down and spent my Farm Cash. That hurt.

The only thing I wish is that Farm Town will have a sale on Farm Cash BEFORE the next update ..... I have dropped, well, I don't even want to tell you how much real money on this game in the past month, and don't mind too much. I appreciate what this game gives me, I enjoy the people I have met through it, and have a genuinely good time farming ! Sure, I could have bought a computer game similar (kind of) and been done at the 50 or 60 dollars .... but hey ! Farm Town IS my social life !! LOL!! We still get the FC, but only when new ranks are added. Me personally I would like to see the cap taken off the ranks, so we could more accurately be ranked at where we are in the game. The cute names they give them mean nothing to me as I never see any but the last one anyways. I do not buy anything to decorate my farm, as I have no room for it.

I got bored and almost left the game right before they added the facilities. I think the game needs to keep evolving a bit to keep us old timers interested in it. Meanwhile, newcomers struggle to get all the tools, and land upgrades. There is a balance in there somewhere.

Actually it should not.

when you first opened the clothes... there was an option to BUY.... that option should be gone now if you paid the FT$$ for the purchase.

To change suits just click your avatar, click Change Appearance, and select your choice of clothes - free if you already paid, and $20 if you have not bought them yet.

And, I don't like hearing that when we say we just can't afford to spend any more real $$ on this game and something should be done that we are whining or that we should just play along at our own pace. The game is not offering rewards to long term players, but allowing buying one's way to the top. It may be a non-competitive game, but without spending real $$ on the tools for all the facilities the game is just too labor intensive. I want to enjoy ALL aspects of the game. But social security is NOT best used buying yet another lot of FC.

What is ridiculous? I have 2 neighbors who have already bought 1 upgrade to 26x26. I talked to 1 of them last night while working her facilities and she has a second 10 billion banked for farm 13 if and when, so is working on getting more coins.

She does the usual tedious sowing crops, waiting days and days for them to grow, harvesting, ploughing and then sowing again just like we all do. The game adds facilities that while costing more have a higher return on what they make giving more coins to purchase with.

She plays at a higher intense level than I do and a lot of others do but that is how the game goes. We are allowed to play as we want to and the developers don't force us to do in any set wan and only in that set way.

Well I for one want to truly thank the developers - I play hard and I play fast - there wasn't much to aim for, for those of us who have over 100million XP and Billions of Coins ... so now - I spent 10 of my billions on one upgrade and I will not be happy until I have all 4 upgrades and so on. Yes it may be hard for some of the newer players to achieve - but like that BIG RED MANSION we all dreamed of reaching and never thought we would - I'm not quitting this game just yet.... I'm a happy bunny - and it gives me an excuse to maybe re-design some of the farms that have been same way since way back ...

You can ask for Facebook Credits cards. They are available here in Best Buy, Walmart, and other stores. Those credits can easily be used to get Farm Cash.

I am surprised by the definition of the red sprinkler. When I bought it, the description said that it halved the growing time of crops and flowers. Now the description above says it doesn't do that. If that is true, I am very disappointed that a change was made that took away capability since I had to use real money to buy it. Say it isn't so...

Let us use the facility manger on other peoples farms. That way we can open the facility manger and go down it and work the facilities and service facilities quickly and easily from one farm and one post.

9. Brown Sprinkler is Back: The Brown Sprinkler is now back in the extended tool box and will function exactly as before, it will water and revive your flowers but will not accelerate anything.

The Red or Orange Sprinkler will still remain in the extended tool bar (right next to the Brown one) functioning as before, the Red one will accelerate crops and the Orange one will accelerate Crops, Trees and Flowers. Both of them will water your flowers as well.

Basically the more you have in production and the more facilities you have the better your diversification. This was 1st released some months ago. Here's what the devs posted at that time...
10.Diversification Rank shown in Facility Manager:*The header in the facility manager now shows a new measure of success for players using facilities:

Your Diversification Rank: ### Best: ###

Your Diversification Rank is calculated using the following method:

- For each Facility you own you get 25 points

- For each Product in a facility with pending productions you get:

- 5 points if you have 19% or less of the product capacity used
- 6 points if you have between 20 and 39% of the product capacity used
- 7 points if you have between 40 and 59% of the product capacity used
- 8 points if you have between 60 and 79% of the product capacity used
- 9 points if you have between 80 and 99% of the product capacity used
- 10 points if you have 100% of the product capacity used

The 'Best:' value always shows the best Diversification Rank you have been able to achieve at any point in the game.

Raul made a little mistake in the announcement the red sprinkler speeds up growth of crops and flowers and the orange one speeds up trees. They both still work the same as the day they came out. I only have the red sprinkler and watered flowers with it after the update last night and the flowers have the w in their name.

10 billion is steep but 30 FC seems reasonable to me. And to answer your original question, some players do have the 10 billion. I know because I'm one of them.

9. Brow Sprinkler is Back: The Brown Sprinkler is now back in the extended tool box and will function exactly as before, it will water and revive your flowers but will not accelerate anything.

The Red or Orange Sprinkler will still remain in the extended tool bar (right next to the Brown one) functioning as before, the Red one will accelerate crops and the Orange one will accelerate Crops, Trees and Flowers. Both of them will water your flowers as well.

Notice that when you buy the Orange one, it will still replace the Red one in the extended tool bar and from that point on the Red one will function as the Orange one.

Ok that is not fair. I bought the Red Sprinker to speed up crops and Flowers! Now you going to take it away. I thought that was the reason for bringing back the brown so you could water your flowers without speeding them up. If you were going to take that away from the Red one there was no point in bringing back the brown one.

I have a question/comment about the sprinkler changes. I do understand how they all work but...

If we use the old (grey, brown or whatever) we can't use the orange one for another day. The two should be totally independent of each other.

Bringing the old one back doesn't help us if we use it for flowers and then can't irrigate our crops and trees.

Please make it independent and have it run on it's own clock, independent of the irrigator for crops and trees.

I've never minded buying FC to get the better facilities but lately it's more than just minor spending. To keep up it's getting out of hand. I understand that they deserve to make money but when it starts getting necessary to spend hundreds in one month, just to keep up with what's new, people are going to start moving to other games.

I've been spending and supporting the developers but the time has come to stop. I've been playing almost since day one but I'm starting to rethink this whole thing. It's gone from a little minor spending to what I feel is gouging.

All that said... I do love the game and my 12 farms. :o)

That other farm game is all about timed quests, which, without help from your neighbours, you can never complete, and that can become frustrating. I love that Farm Town is NOT like this, I choose to play games that don't cause me stress. I have about 50 Farm Town neighbours, but only 4 of them still play, and I don't play every day. This suits me just fine. I will check out the quests when they arrive, I'm just saying that I hope they don't change the dynamics of what I love about this game, or that I get left too far behind because I don't indulge in them. :)

I just want to say that to charge 10 billion for an 'expansion' is really crazy. I am retired and work my farms more than most people can do, and because I didn't read it properly I did the upgrade on my farm 4. I actually thought I was paying 10 million... wow what a surprise when I was trying to upgrade another and it told me I didn't have enough cash (I started with 12billion). Of course I can buy the upgrade for 30 farmtown coin (is that a surprise to anyone?). It really is getting to be ridiculous how they have upped everything so much. I have stated before that it was starting to cost me $40 per month to play this game with MOST of the facilities. I am missing quite a few and it still costs me a lot to participate.

I guess my option are....
1) Continue playing without buying anything that costs coins.
2) Continue playing and spending the $40 per month average to keep up with things
3) Cut down my cost to $10 per month and just buy a new things.
4) Stop playing altogether and go back to playing poker when ever I feel the need to be entertained.

I think I will try the $10 per month and see if it works for me. $480.00 per year to play this game is just too much to ask of most people. I spent that much and I don't have all the facilities and services that are available for FT Coin. I know a lot of people who have them all and I just wonder... what the heck do they spend each month to participate? All I can say is that Poker is starting to look good to me again!

Just venting.. but I do feel better putting it out there. There will be no thanks from me for trying to get more of my hard earned cash right now!

I stand corrected!!! So sorry, had a duh moment!!! Just realized you can go to the other farms while working the facilities. It highlights those farms, but you can still travel to the others for watering, etc! Thank you to the developers for this one!!!

Check the upper right corner of your post and see who they are being posted to. If it isn't to a Farm Town list you created or friends then that is why they aren't being seen. This is only a temporary problem in the mean time you can just use the tend to neighbours farm option by clicking on there slot on the neighbors bar and select tend to (avatars name) farm that way you can navigate all farms untill the current issue is fixed :)

Working neighbors services have a few problems. I’m quite sure that the programmers at Slash Key are aware of the problems but to summarize those problems:

Today I was told that I have already worked on those services of a neighbor, I have not. Also I was able to work on that same neighbors facilities a moment later, as well as those Services.

Also on the ‘highlights’ in the diamonds for working in a neighbors Services, I can’t work on all the farms that have services, however, when I am working the Facilities and I am done with a farm I can go back and find those buildings on that farm and work those Services just fine one at a time.

Those highlights on farms with facilities seem to count all the building as a facilities and are not a count of just the facilities that one can work on

Hi the devs are aware of this glitch and are working to fix the problem.

The reason this was implemented was due to a large amount of requests by members for a way to see which farms have workable facilities which has been granted by the devs but unfortunately has a few bugs for the devs to fix.

With as fast as the posts move on the fb wall, I find it easier when say I am working client referrals to also visit all my friends farms and click on the facilities and work those that have work in them at the same time. In fact one of my friends just posted client referrals on one farm and asked us to work her facilities on several of her other farms too. I was unable to do that. Please take this feature off, it`s a pain in the rear and I hate it!!!!!!!!!!!!! So far also when I have worked for any of my friends too it only will let me work one farm regardless of what farms they have posted they have work on.

when you first opened the clothes... there was an option to BUY.... that option should be gone now if you paid the FT$$ for the purchase.

To change suits just click your avatar, click Change Appearance, and select your choice of clothes - free if you already paid, and $20 if you have not bought them yet.

What a surprise this update was. Didn't expect one so soon.

I got 3 of the updated farms with fc and planted acorn squash to build up my coins for the 4th farm upgrade. I thought 10 billion or 30 fc were high, but i like playing and so paid the price.

Thank you for the brown sprinkler back. It will help with my 8 farms with flowers and not interfere with irrigating crops.

Thank you raul & devs for a wonderful surprise. Will be waiting for glitches to be fixed.

P.s. Also like the feature that gives me more buying credits. If am up to 3,000 and use this feature each day. Thank you.

Am I the only one who thinks the prices for the larger farms are completely ridiculous and unrealistic?????? This is just a game you know. How on earth are we supposed to achieve that? I got so excited when I read that there were new larger farms, something to do at last instead of the usual tedious sowing crops, waiting days and days for them to grow, harvesting, ploughing and then sowing again.

You always seem to penalise the people who can't afford to buy farmcash. Not fair Farmtown people. Just not fair.

i had over 8 billion saved and that paid for the farm12 totally also that includes buying facilities with coins etc now i'm back to allmost a billion and a half so it's attainable and not unrealistic to get to that sum and yes you have to do what we all do is plant wait then get others to harvest and and plow. You get more coins by hiring more ppl to do the work and it all depends on the amount of work you put into it . try playing FV and see what you get there for coins it's a joke you get NADA Zip!

Just a quick note to say thank you Raul and Devs for the fantastic updates. I upgraded 2 of my farms and now have a goal of getting enough coins together for the other 2 (long process lol) Also with the glitch of the client facs not showing on more than one farm does not worry me at all as I have all my clients on 1 farm and always will as personnally I do not see the sense of traveling all over the place for one fac here and one there. My huby and I would like a work all button that works all farms at once. He has parkinsons and this would make it so much easier for him to help his neighbours. I do the same and am disappointed with the limits of where we can go. Even when I'm not watering I sometimes want to jump from farm to farm to find my friend. I don't always want to do the message thing to join her.

Love the update, and thanks for giving us the brown sprinkler back! Now a red sprinkler has been added to my "to buy" list.

I agree with the people who've asked for more diversity in the service facilities. Would be nice if the art facility had some of the inks and pigments from the ink factory and paper and cardboard from the paper mill and whatnot as well as just the items from the art shop, and the same is true for the previous lot of facilities where there didn't seem to be much diversity.

I still haven't maxed out all my farms to 24x24 (working on Farm 9 now), but I'm glad to see 26x26 coming available too. The price is certainly steep but not impossible at all, and with the FC option I think it's perfectly fair. Getting 10 billion coins takes time (for most of us!) but with a decent number of facilities it's doable.

The contrast with certain other games is really striking in my (and other people's) response to the problem with working service facilities - I just thought, OK, well, give the devs a bit of time and they'll get it sorted, and I see other people have been assuming the same thing. Such a refreshing change! :)

- Farm Selector when working your friends facilities should now highlight the correct set of farms
- Even if the farm is not highlighted, you can still click on it to navigate to the farm and water flowers
- Stock the Casino Service Facility with 3 Drinks: Apple Martini, Bloody Mary and Mojito
- Minigames: You can now move the mouse below the minigame window and the game will still detect those movements
- Fruit Catching Minigame: When playing multiplayer, the Basket won't go under the friends bar

Known Issues:

- There is still an issue with the animal buildings and the Farm Selector, should be fixed in about an hour

Rather than buy facilities, I spent my hobby money on land and expanded 4 farms. I agree that 10 BILLION is ridiculously over the top but I too am weary of "It's not faaaaiiiiirrrr." I hope that this doesn't mean that farm 13-14-15 will never be.

On another note, THANK YOU for finally bringing back our beloved and much missed brown sprinkler.

As long as I'm on here, I'd love to see certain facilities/tools coexist and function on the same farm. Example: trucks, oil pumps, animal buildings. OK, I'm done now.

Consider the fact these are coin prices. The coins you earn as you play and don't cost you anything but time to play. If the land upgrades were easy then everyone would be complaining that they were bored because it is too easy to get to the top. It may seem totally unreachable at this point in the game, but believe me it does get easier as you go along. If I don't make about 200 million a week then I think something is wrong.

For all the time the game has been available, the limits for each farm were 24x24. Many players have asked for larger sizes.... and each time the answer was NO ---- the limits are fixed by the restrictions in FLASH.

so.... until now (with the apparent change in FLASH) none of us expected a 26x26 ... at ANY cost. And we planned accordingly.

so.... now they have found a way to ADD to the game... to give the game an EXTRA that is NOT a big necessity for enjoyment of the game.

so... some avid players have
[1] the coin to expand ...or
[2] the ability to spend real money to expand ...or
[3] the goal to play more until they have the coin to expand ... or

and some players don't.

EXCELLENT upgrades, but for that one itsy thing with the factory hires, just showing which farms applicable. Questionable as it also reads things like animal sheds and mining facilities; some farms only have those, so technically wastes worker's time in loading the farm to find no work is available. Time-consuming change in the techie world to amend, I understand, but I'd suggest modifying the code for those facilities that aren't interactive.

This is only a temporary problem in the mean time you can just use the tend to neighbours farm option by clicking on there slot on the neighbors bar and select tend to (avatars name) farm that way you can navigate all farms untill the current issue is fixed :)

I do the same and am disappointed with the limits of where we can go. Even when I'm not watering I sometimes want to jump from farm to farm to find my friend. I don't always want to do the message thing to join her.

I would much rather see the diamonds with workable or serviceable facilities change color.

Because Flash Player has gotten better. There have been several major upgrades of Flash since that was said.
That said, there is a warning message that shows when you go to buy the 26x26 expansion that this may cause a slight slowdown.

Yes thank you - now the highlighting facilities works properly I love it! Its a brilliant feature- it even updates itself so if you empty all facilities on a farm it fades out that farm when you move!

Its one of those things that you didnt think you needed until you had it!!

Thank you Al-I am at level 285 also--and I have millions of points that go unused & continue to multiply--so do the others I am sure--I also agree with the many others that are speaking out about the 10 billion coins that these puny little upgrades have cost. EACH!!! It doesn't matter whether a player pays with farmcash or coins--it is very greedy of farmtown. I have also played farmville for years so I can vouch for GREEDY. I always preferred this game, but this time you have announced to all of your players that you are only interested in money. You know we are hooked on this game & can't wait the VERY LONG amount of time it takes to amass that many coins--I have every facility--some of them are on every farm--I play daily for 6 to 8 hours, most days longer & I have never amassed more than 4 billion coins. But, you don't care about your players as this has shown very clearly. It's all about MONEY!!! REAL MONEY!!! Will I continue to shell out money from my pocket to line yours? Probably--but this kind of greed leaves a very bad taste in my mouth, and I can not respect it.

Again I must chime in and add......

For all the time the game has been available, the limits for each farm were 24x24. Many players have asked for larger sizes.... and each time the answer was NO ---- the limits are fixed by the restrictions in FLASH.

so.... until now (with the apparent change in FLASH) none of us expected a 26x26 ... at ANY cost. And we planned accordingly.

so.... now they have found a way to ADD to the game... to give the game an EXTRA that is NOT a big necessity for enjoyment of the game.

so... some avid players have
[1] the coin to expand ...or
[2] the ability to spend real money to expand ...or
[3] the goal to play more until they have the coin to expand ... or

and some players don't.

Maybe there is a US president who is willing to spread the land around.... but he is not one of my neighbors....:cool:

You can perform all functions while being in offline mode the only thing you cant do is hire other farmers to work for you or be hired by others to work there farms as they can not see you & you cant see them.

you can fill your facilities and post them to be worked while in offline mode this has no effect on your neighbours working your facilities.

Maybe there isn't many other games where stuff is available for coins but true expressions of discontent are as acceptable as constant applauding the divas. 10 billion is excessive and I have found a lot of my neighbors have decided not to play for awhile due to the high cost of upgrading. I did upgrade my first farm and for the few squares I got, wish I could have my money back and you can have the land back. Admittedly I did misread the price and thought it was 10 million. My bad but I'll happily sell the land if you can take it back. Also, no need to jump down my throat if I disagree with some. I've exerienced that before. Complaints are as acceptable as accolades.

Well said Nana :) I have been playing Farmtown since May, 2009 and plan to continue playing because I love the game. I totally agree that the upgrades are excessive. By my calculation the expansions gives you 132 more plots per farm at a cost of 75.7 MILLION PER PLOT. It would take a lot of tators to absorb that cost.:) My experience has been that the cost in coins would not be achieveable with out layering of some kind which is supposedly discouraged by the developers but seems to be encouraged by this expansion. More importantly to your post I believe we should be able to express that opinion on this forum without people jumping down our throats and telling us that if we don't like it we can just leave.

I can't be sure but...I haven't loaded my facilities for a week and harvest 8 chicken coops with from 100 to 60 hens at least every other day. I was susprised today when I ran out so quickly. I found this on one of my neighbors farms, but what I found when I went to the other farms and clicked on facilities they were all already finished, which was why they didn't show. You can still click on the other farms even though they are shaded out.

Where as the limit on selling/buying items was nice for those that use it, I rarely sell or buy anything so that and benefits of having a higher diversity ranking and having those limits increased with the ranking does me no good. It would be nice if the diversity ranking could raise our bonus limits too.

You know I have posted a few comments in here about this update and I haven't even said thank you yet. So thanks to DEVS for this update.
When I first saw the price for extending the farms my first reaction was the same as of a lot have been here and thought it was totally over the top and way to high. Now that I have a couple of days for it sink in, I am getting ok with it. I gave some real careful consideration to determine which fields I could and wanted to upgrade. I found one my 4th farm could not be. It is surround by seacoast so expanding it would throw it off cause right now it is the perfect size for either 2 large seacoast or 4 small ones going to 26x26 that wouldn't be possible. My number one farm hasn't seen much change since created except for building changes so it was one I wanted experiment with first. I think I am still going to make some changes but it game a chance to something. I had to spend the 30 FC cash cause I don't quite have the 10B yet and when I do I am sure I will wait to I have at least 15B before spending it all. In the mean time I will substitute buying one facility for an expansion. I have plenty of facilities anyway and am running our of room to put them. So after buying the expansion maybe I will room for them. I just hope that expansion for farms 4 - 8 when they come out with them don't get any higher than the 10B. I figure that until we get all 12 farms expanded we probably won't get anymore farms if we ever do.

There seems to be a few problems with working facilities.



If a farm has a facility of any kind on the farm the farm is highlighted. This does us no good because the people that have an oil pump on all farms will have all farms highlighted.
When someone click on a post to help with facilities they are taken to the farm the facility the person posted is on lets say it is on farm 4, but when they click yes to work facilities they are taken to farm 1. The only "facilities" on this farm are the animal buildings and an oil pump there are no working facilities. I don't understand that change if I am on farm 4 and click yes when the farm reloads (which I still don't get) I should still be on farm 4 not farm 1.

Most people put the farms that have facilities on them in the post when they post this has seemed to work great for me and others. I do like that you are trying to help us out and make it easier for everyone but it needs a little twicking. This is what I would like to see happen.

Have the farms that have facilities that can be worked by others highlighted if there are no "workable facilities" on a farm don't highlight it.


What I would really love to see happen is this.

Let us use the facility manger on other peoples farms. That way we can open the facility manger and go down it and work the facilities and service facilities quickly and easily from one farm and one post.


I do hope these goals you are going to introduce later will reduce the price of farms a little. Not every player is making 10 billion coins every week. I don't mind having to work for the land but 10 billion is just crazy and I am not going to spend farm cash on land. I don't have a problem with it for other things but the land prices have just gotten way to much. The very few that have 10,000 facilities shouldn't be catered too.

I am not sure how you figured out that it is the 4th upgrade. To get to 26x26 this would be the 7th upgrade of each of those farms. I am not saying 10 billion is a good or bad price.

I have lost the bait for my small & big sea coast.... I had over 70.000 there when i fished before i got to bed for the night, and when i was fishing this morning it was 0. I got a little from my facilities,but now i have just 3000 there :(

Someone with the same problem?

You know I have posted a few comments in here about this update and I haven't even said thank you yet. So thanks to DEVS for this update.
When I first saw the price for extending the farms my first reaction was the same as of a lot have been here and thought it was totally over the top and way to high. Now that I have a couple of days for it sink in, I am getting ok with it. I gave some real careful consideration to determine which fields I could and wanted to upgrade. I found one my 4th farm could not be. It is surround by seacoast so expanding it would throw it off cause right now it is the perfect size for either 2 large seacoast or 4 small ones going to 26x26 that wouldn't be possible. My number one farm hasn't seen much change since created except for building changes so it was one I wanted experiment with first. I think I am still going to make some changes but it game a chance to something. I had to spend the 30 FC cash cause I don't quite have the 10B yet and when I do I am sure I will wait to I have at least 15B before spending it all. In the mean time I will substitute buying one facility for an expansion. I have plenty of facilities anyway and am running our of room to put them. So after buying the expansion maybe I will room for them. I just hope that expansion for farms 4 - 8 when they come out with them don't get any higher than the 10B. I figure that until we get all 12 farms expanded we probably won't get anymore farms if we ever do.
We all have our own opinions about updates, and you can express your negative thoughts about an update but some of you have really gotten hateful about it and that really isn't necessary. As your mom and dad use to tell you, Play nice kids. :)

I've just loaded both mini-games without problems. Try clearing your browser cache, close browser and then reload, see if that corrects the problem for you.

God's listening, too. It's happened though and sadly continues over into the game. I've had it inflicted on me as recently as two days ago, and from a very top level player.

Sorry this has happened to you, Oklahoma Rose. :( If you encounter abuse within the game, click on the avatar of the player involved, and select the 'report' option. This sends a message directly to the development team for review, and also acts as an 'ignore' button so you never need to 'see' that person again.

I can't be sure but...I haven't loaded my facilities for a week and harvest 8 chicken coops with from 100 to 60 hens at least every other day. I was susprised today when I ran out so quickly. BUT I did not check before I started loading to day and all facilities were empty. Something I'm going to watch.

I was sooooo very excited to see we could upgrade our farms to 26x26 until I went to the realtor office and saw the prices. What gives? 10 billion for each of the 26x26 upgrades -- really Farm Town??!??!?? I was so disappointed I almost cried. It has taken me weeks to save almost 4 billion coin. I am a long time player (almost 3 years) and I don't feel very rewarded for all my hard work. I could see charging us 1 billion coin for each upgrade...but not 10 billion and I am not spending real money on land upgrades. =( The population of players that have that much coin to throw around is such a small percentage. I don't understand these prices for the rest of us that don't come close to earning that kind of coin.

I have to say I sort of agree with you Timeless - I struggled to get to the 3 billion odd to get farm 12 to 24x24. I DID pay $ to upgrade farm 3 as I needed the space for facilities but Im just going to go for the ten billion Farm Coins.
It has given me a real challenge - and I will enjoy that. I too have been playing for a while ( just over 2 1/2 years) and I am always at the top if any new levels come out so this is something to work for for players like me.

Im just going to copy Stoneface (I think it was) who said he would plant oodles of Acorn Squash to sell. If you have the crop sprinkler it only takes just over two days and sells for a good profit. Peas is another good profit maker - especially if you hire someone to harvest them and get a "large" crop.

Im hoping that by the time I get the 10 billion the Devs will have released upgrades to the other farms - especially 9 and 11 - as they are my growing only farms and I could do with the extra fields.

Can someone enlighten me on the change with FC? I saw a couple of posts about some sort of FC change and I have searched this forum for an hour and can find no info at all. I've even lost the post I was reading then but it said something about no FC for new levels but for "ranks" instead? A misquote or real? Thanks.

I can't say I have ever seen anything like that....maybe they were talking about not getting FC because they were at the top level and didn't know it.

I watered a neighbors flowers tonight because they needed watering and it showed they were ready, well I had gone back to one of the farms only to find out that they were halfway ready already which tells me they weren't really ready when I did them to begin with so that means I didn't get anything out of the 8 farms I worked on I'm guessing? Just curious if anyone else has noticed this.

Yes I have found that if you water some ones flowers you need to refresh the farm to find out what the actual growth is at, they always say ready to harvest after watering....for me anyway:)

Yay devs! I'm happy with the new goodies! and I'm happy to see the long awaited additional farm expansion options.

I'm not so happy that the expansion apply only to the first 4 farms. I probably won't expand them because I really don't feel like revamping my farms to make the expansions fit the design. I've never had 10 billion coins, and probably never will and I'm OK with that.

If the expansions had been applied to farms 9-12, I would be much more likely to invest farmcash to expand because those farms haven't been developed yet. I have the farm cash to purchase upgrades right now but probably won't. It's a time management thing. I've been too busy just trying to keep up with previous game upgrades.

I think the approach to this was from a business perspective for Slashkey and I get it. They need to make money. I think the business model however, needs to be thought out a little more. Perhaps a player focus group would help get a finger on the pulse of the consumer. After all, a product is only worth what the consumer is willing to pay.

I did expand my second farm only because it was my main facility farm and was the easiest one to rearrange. I will never expand my first farm, just don't want to go through the trouble of redesigning it. I love this game, but I have so much stuff now it is almost like having a second job! My facilities earn as much as 80 million coins in a day if my good neighbors work them for me. I have a lot of neighbors, but only 3 or 4 active ones now. If they all were active, I would earn 10 billion in no time at all. All of my farms were at the max when the new expansions came out and I did use Farm Cash to expand the second one just because I was curious to see it. It does warn you that if you expand, it may load slower, but I did it anyway.

Just me being not updated, but I think that those red lines around each farm have not been there before??? Do they indicate that those farms with red lines are ready to harvest?? (Hopefully crossing fingers for a "Yes" :) )

Yep, I agree that Farms 9-12 will be expanded at the end ..... but my impatient gene wants them now :( I would happily swap farms 1-4 for 9-12, but I don't think it quite works that way :confused:

I have to agree with you here. I've been building up the coffers and planting acorn squash so maybe after Christmas I will have enough to expand at least one of the farms. When that happens, I'll move my facility farm. THEN, I will race with myself to see how fast I can get another 10 billion. And then, next month, maybe I can get some "play money" for my birthday..

did you REALLY think they would offer the expansion.... let many players use farm cash to expand.... and then rescind???

now, THAT would be foolish on their part to start such a firestorm

I again say.... the 26x26 expansion is NOT a necessity to "advance" in this game..... IMHO it is only something which any player can CHOOSE to buy - either with coin earned over time, or with real money...

It is a choice that really does not even have to be made, because it is something unnecessary to advancing in the game.

As for the other difficulties you feel are un-addressed..... send a PM to a mod and see what they suggest. Perhaps it will help, or perhaps your particular difficulty is not a top priority at this time.

Don't let a GAME stress you out. Control what you can do, not lose control over a game.

as you pointed out they are not gonna make the game costs reasonable cause people have already spent it so i am leaving as to game stress, i want the expansions and since i cant have them cause they cost soo much i am leaving as to farm cash, i have already spent real money on this game stupidly and its time to stop, i have already exceeded what i should of spent and i will not spend one more dime on this game, thanks for the suggestion but it wont help me out.

My out of pocket expense exceeds $200.00 over the past 1 1/2 years. My hubby asked me the other day why would I spend money on something that I don't get anything back from and my words to him were, "I do get something back from it. I get to create, design, socialize and de-stress all in the comfort of my recliner and that is worth money to me". However, I must admit, I can't see myself spending much more on it. I've go so much now that I have as many as 6 of the basic facilities such as factories that produce sugar, dairy products, lumber, metals, fish and etc and still can't keep my factories stocked to the fullest degree.

This game doesn't do that, which to me makes it that much more worth while. Those of us that do spend real cash on the game, keeps that game going for those that can't. Also, gaining more neighbors, you give them a chance to boost from you and vice versa.

I've had times, when I would feel stressed or bored, I would just back away for awhile, play another game and the same would happen there and I'd be back at this one. I love this game and have never seen more cooperative developers than these guys.

I especially like the fact that I can determine which of my friends farms to work in the facilities or refer clients. I always had a hard time remembering to post the specific farms and an even harder time remembering which farms they mentioned. This part of the update is great. $10 billion for expansion has really been a bummer, but at least I now have a challenge....A REALLY BIG CHALLENGE.
