Quests are goals that can be achieved for working and producing products on your own farm.
Prizes are in coins.
These quests are only enabled for users at level 30 or higher.

There is a new icon in the extended tool bar (Mystery Dice) that will allow you to accept new Quests. Here are the rules:

- You can only accept 1 Quest per day (every 20 hrs) and it has to be completed before it expires

- You can have several active Quests at the same time depending on your level, here is the table:

Level 30.....1 Max Active Quests
Level 50.....2 Max Active Quests
Level 100....3 Max Active Quests
Level 150....4 Max Active Quests
Level 200....5 Max Active Quests

- A Quest has several steps. Roll your mouse over each Quest Step to find out what needs to be done. You must complete each step before starting the next.

Quests Social Lifelines: Social Lifelines allows you to complete Quest Steps by interacting with friends. When you are stuck in a Quest you may decide to use a Social Lifeline to help you move forward. For now there will be 3 different kinds of Social Lifelines:
Lifelines can not be used for the final step of the Quest (1st box shown top left of the Quest).

Gifting Lifeline: Allows you to complete Quest Steps by using gifts or ingredients from friends. In this case after you accept the gifts or ingredients you will have to Store them for them to be counted toward your Quest Steps requirements.
Example : If you need an ingredient that can be gifted from the gift page or sent via requesting ingredients from a product in a facility that you own, you can use this lifeline to request the item or exchange a gift for it. Once stored it will count towards your quest


Trading Lifeline: Allows you to complete Quest Steps by trading goods with other farmers in the Market. This will help if you need a basic ingredient that can be bought from another farmer ( e.g. harvested crops, harvested animal products, chopped trees, fish, harvested flowers). You can not buy products made in facilities from another farmer.


Employee Lifeline: Allows you to complete Quest Steps by working for others in farms or facilities. The product bonuses you get by working for others will count toward your Quest Steps requirements.
This will help if you can gain what you need by being hired to work on a farm or by working a facility to gain the products made in that facility. Example, if the middle part of the quest (not the final step) required a product made in a facility that you do not own yet but a neighbour does, you can work their facility to gain that product for part of your quest.



- You will earn prizes every time you complete a Quest. The Quest will be finished when all its steps are completed. Click the "Redeem Prize" button to collect your reward.

The prize in coins will be higher depending on:

a) How fast the Quest was completed
b) The complexity of the Quest (amount of Quest Steps)
c) User Level

- In the future the Mayor might occasionally award you 1 FarmCash and/or ingredients based on your performance in previous Quests

I am doing the 5X tool Quest, think that's t he name.

Anyway it all makes sense, EXCEPT:
IN Quest, it says it will take me 7.4 days to produce Petrochemical
IN Facility, it says I will have Petrochemical in 6 hours.

WHY DON'T THEY MATCH??? What am I missing?
The "whole quest" is like 4.9 days, so I don't have the 7.4 days Quest says it takes here.

I have to make goose egg omelettes. One instruction is 'Order Sausage Pack using the S... 4 ordered out of 4 total, 1.8 days left for #4 to be done'. The word beginning with 'S' is out of the box on my screen and I can't read it, but I'm also really not sure at all what it means :confused: Any guesses out there? Or anyone who knows what it's on about?

Thanks, I wouldn't have thought it would be a 'must do' for quests, but yes, once I switched to full screen I could see all the wording.

I have a friend who never plays in full screen because it takes her old computer a month to do it, so that could be a problem for her.

Yep :) Thanks, but it needs to be made clear to people that they must be in full screen to read some of the instructions. I don't think there is any other aspect of the game that is reliant on the full screen mode.

The other thing with my quest is that it says 'order sausage pack'. Apparently I can't use other sausages coming off my truck ahead of the ones I just ordered. It seems I have to wait 1.8 days for the particular ones that I ordered to come off the truck :(

This will keep us on our toes, and always with space to plant some extra crop if necessary, or a whole range of crops planted right across our farms :)

i have a quest for produce 2 pilates ladder-barrel in a facilitie. i had to do first, chop pine trees, harvest latex and produce the ruwe oil barrel. did that, then i must produce the pine lumber pile. i'am stuck there. and i'am stuck with the ruwe oil barrel. i have stocked both products that was finished but this is not marked its done? who knows what i'am missing. need i to wait until the facilitie is done completly? for the crude oil barrel i have 21 houres left. the pine lumber 271 houres. what this mean? i know thats the time left, but when its this step done?

My first quest is blueberry yogurt which is simple enough. I was able to get the milk and blueberries as i had blueberries ready to harvest and got the go ahead to start production in dairy plant. I put my facilities up for people to work as a wee experiment but "producing faster" did not seem to make any difference.Just wondered if that was normal? Also there is a number in a black circle with 268 in it on third yoghurt making stage of quest. wondered what was.! i know i can't unlock next quest for about 18 hours.

Ok there is definately something off about the quests and the timing. I dont care what they say, but my facilties have been worked, and ive stored 2 seperate batches of petroluem since i began the quest, and its not showing as done. If i have to wait 72 hours for the barrels on the end of the cue in that facilty to work through, then im not gonna make this quest in time..

and im not begging on my wall for friends to work to feed them through quicker..

My quest does specify 'harvest' peppers, onions and mushrooms - not - 'plant and harvest' so it should be ok to use crops that are already growing.

I have planted two crops specially, and have one that was already planted yesterday, so I'll let you know if the quest accepts all three tomorrow some time.

My quest is to produce fried rice. I've been able to do all the steps until it came to soy sauce. I went into the Food Preserve Factory and just clicked all on soy sauce and then clicked store and have no check mark by my soy sauce. Do I have to wait the 2 hours for it to be produced? The previous ingredient was produce shrimp, I clicked all and then store all and the shrimp box had a check next to it. I didn't have to wait. I'm confused why it works for one and not the other???????

What level are you? You must be at least level 30. If you are and still don't have them, clear your cache, close your browser and reopen to your farm and see if that fixes it.

Do all the items for the quest show as completed? Those are only completed if you have a check mark in each item.

Only way I know is you let it run out of time. Depending on what level you are you can open 1 quest a day, so you should be able to open another one and see if you can do that one.

my daughter got a quest to produce pitchforks. She doesn't have that facility! When it is choosing a quest for you we both thought it would pick something you have the facilities for. She doesn't plan on buying that facility so is a little bummed she has a useless quest. Come to think of it, she has two Mineral Mines, but doesn't have the Metal Mill or the Farming Equip Factory

You have to catch it yourself in your own seacoast.

I think so... My neighbor and I both had to produce crude oil for our quests. She clicked all starting 3 batches and had 18 hours to complete. I clicked on batch and mine is showing 6 hours to complete. This makes me believe that the quest recognizes how much we tell our facility to produce.

so from what i gathered reading these threads is:

A: you must wait for a "specific" batch of ingredients (facility) to get done for it to count towards a quest step?

B: any ingredient you must order/produce from a facility that is not workable by friends will take forever and a day (longer than the allowed quest time) to complete the "specific" batch you ordered/started for the quest?

The only question I have is this: if a step involves a facility ingredient and your friends work that facility, does it count towards the "quest step" once you store it? This isn't a problem for me, as my facilities are worked completely within a couple hours, just wondering...

I'm not sure about everyone, but i'm pretty sure that most of us already have a lot of things ordered/in production in many mines, semi's, etc (i have at the very least 3 of each that are filled to 100% everyday of things i need)

(my first quest seems simple enough, but will become a PITA if i have to wait for a "specific" batch of ingredients to be ready in a future quest). I wouldn't mind waiting for the "next available" batch of a certain product (like 4 hours for the next batch of iron ore to become available from a mine), but waiting for the "most recent" batch i started for the quest?? It is not mathematically possible to complete a quest given those limitations, especially with ingredients that come from unworkable facilities...

maybe some rethinking is needed?

I had hoped that the quest would involve things that we already had. I am not going to buy new facilities in order to do quest, and certainly not ones that require FC. Why cant they be for facilities and things we have or can produce.....

To me it looks like the black number in the circle shows the time it needs to finish that part of the quest. And it looks like it is better to fill the facility (the product we need) one by one like we had to do in the beginning when the facilities first came out. Hope that makes sense and helps :)

was an easy quest though so maybe the ones with more steps are worth more?
For everyone having problems with it saying they have to wait along time for things to be done in the facilities..I have done 2 (one on my acct and just started one on my partners) looks like if you only start the number of batches of a product you have to make (regardless of how many are already in production) then the wait time will only be how long that batch takes to finish. IE: i had to make canned tuna,...i caught the tuna then started 1 batch of canned tuna and it says 3hrs to complete task which is how long 1 bacth of canned tuna takes ( already had factory at 50% before i clicked on that batch)

seem I completed the first quest but when i click on flower it say 1 started out of 1 total 10.2 days left for #1 ti be done,when i click on pancakes say " 20 started out of 20 total,2.2 days left for #20 to be done.
Am lost sorry ,did make 20 and stored them :(((((

I've got to make 20 clogs - easy. Chopped the Oak, ordered the leather, both ticked off and done. Loaded the facility which meant 6 hours for the next 20 clogs to be produced. I have 3.5 days left to complete the quest, but it's still telling me that it will take 7.2 days.

The maths don't work, I can't possibly complete the quest in 3.5 days. Also what happens when people work your facilities? Most often mine are completely emptied within a couple of hours of posting.

I have to make 4 medicine cabinets - it currently says it expires in 3.8 days.
Needed to produce aluminium ore, soda crystals, Quartz rock. My mine was 64% full but I added one batch of each more and when the hour ticked by it highlighted that section to say done. So I didnt need to wait until the whole lot was done.
Chopped the Maple trees - no problem. Produced the Maple Lumber - just added one batch more to what I had going already. Currently waiting for Mirror Glass, Aluminium sheets and Flat glass then I can make the cabinets - so far so good - Im quite enjoying this.
Will be interesting to see what the reward is.
I have to add that I only started the min amount possible for each item in the facility and so far the longest time to get the step completed is two hours. I DID have some production already - I havent tried starting more in case it really does wait for everything you started to finish! ( Hope that makes sense)

okay i'am totally lost with the quest right now! some of the steps of my quest are done, facilities are empty. but following the quest manager is it not complete that step. but it is. have no idea how its works, so i not gonna check that quest stuff anymore. always hated that stuff with zynga. i hope i can play without the quests.

if you already have things in production in the facilities... those do not count towards the quests, have you started a product after completing the previous steps? note: start products 1 at a time for the quest

I had to make 10 Vanilla in the Essential oil factory. I planted and harvested the vanilla, and made 30 batch of the vanilla essential oil. 20 more than the quest required. But it does not show that they are done. No green check next to the essential oil. There is a green check next to the harvesting of the vanilla. Maybe I am missing something

That is not 10 batches of vanilla. That would be 1 batch of 10 vanilla. You should have started 1 batch of vanilla and it would be done in 1 hour.

You have to make the flour and then when that shows as done then make the pancakes.

you have to grow the items on your own farm and harvest them. if you harvest someone elses farm or buy the items it wont count.

I have everything done for my quest. I have to make 20 fried rice. It says I have made 20 fried rice. However, I have to wait until the facilities are empty to get the check mark. I didn't know this when I ordered the ham. I hit start all and now, even though I would have had enough ham by now have to wait 92 hours. My quest has to be finished in in 66 hours so I won't be able to complete it even though I've done everything I was supposed to. I can see making sure people grow the crops and not using stored. However the time to get the check mark should be equal to the time it would take the 2 ham needed, (in my case) not the time needed for the full amount ordered. JMHO

I'm lost -- nothing new there. Looks like this will be fun after we know what we're supposed to do.

My quest expires in 4.9 days. But my bucket with hose won't be finished for 14.9 days? Guess I'm not gonna make it. :-D

Do we have to have empty facilities when we start these or . . . ? I didn't expect the stuff that was already ready to store to count, but I didn't expect to have to wait two weeks, either. :-)

ok..I also dont understand a few things...I had to get 25 apple/cherry/raspberry juice...does that mean 25 single units or 25 batches...I have all my ticks except the 25 juice even though it says 25/25 and 200+ in the black circle..
also..you say to start the quest amount when the facility is empty so does this mean we can only load the particular juice for the quest?..and what happens if you have 2 of the same facility..does both have to be empty??..and what if ppl work your facilities and your juice gets done..this doesnt count??..do we have to tell ppl hands off the juice??lol

I'm really confused. My first quest is to harvest 4 pine logs, which I have done, and it shows 4/4 done, and it's got a check mark on that.

The other one I have to do 4 pine lumber logs, which I also have done because I have uploaded the pine logs to my sawmill, and then process it and now it is showing 4/4 pine lumber logs done, but it did not give me a check mark on that. It says I have 4 out of 4 done already, and I have 1.7 days to complete #4 pine lumber. I'm REALLY CONFUSED!!!! It is showing I have 4/4 pine lumber done already, so what's there to do next? The other locks on the side of the screen are still locked for me, I have 4/4 done and it is still saying I have 1.7 days to complete #4 I'm so confused. Don't have a clue on what's happening, and I don't know where to click to get my reward.

It is 25 of the juice. None of the items anyone has posted here about quests are in number of batches that I have seen.
For your quest you need to start 1 batch instead of fully loading that item. Then whatever the completion time for that 1 batch will be the amount of time for it to be done. If you already have batches in production those won't count for the quest. Neighbors working facility won't speed up that time.

nope, thy are different for everyone, and the time is 20 hours from the time you accept a quest to when you can accept the next one

i would not have started all if that had been explained, but i thought even if i started all, when the amt needed for quest was done, i would get credit for it.

now there is no way to complete my first quest because of this.

There seems to be a very wide variety of quests. I'm wondering if they get more complex for those at higher levels.

i would not have started all if that had been explained, but i thought even if i started all, when the amt needed for quest was done, i would get credit for it.

now there is no way to complete my first quest because of this.

I did the same thing - hit 'start all' on sausage packs, then found others speculating on having to start just the amount needed. There are obviously some glitches to be worked out yet for it to be practical. I hope the devs aren't trying to make us buy extra facilities to keep empty just for quest orders.

Like so many others I like to keep my facilities ticking over, but if we have to wait for all in the facility to be cleared before our little special order is done, that will take some of the fun out of the quest.

I'm now waiting something like 29 hours to complete my first quest, just because my sausage packs are in the semi, even though I have now completed all the other quest elements :(

If you keep your facilities working at full capacity, most quests can't be done in the time allotted because what you start will be put at the end of the production line for that product and you will have to wait for all previous products to be done. So you are giving up xp and coins in order to do the quests.

sorry but that is incorrect.... what is already in the facility is irrelevant, just have to start what you need as individual batches, not bulk start or start all. I started mine when the facilities were 98% full without a problem.

I have done two quests (one on my acc and one on my partners, just so i could double check what i thought lol). No matter what you already have in production in a facility, as long as you do not click start all again and just send the number of batches you need to production then you will only have to wait the amount of time it takes each batch to process.
eg: I had to make 2 yoga blocks so I harvested my cork then put 1 batch into production (had more yoga blocks waiting as i had only loaded a few hours ealier and not posted)..1 hour later my quest was complete

Such a pity this wasn't clearly explained. I guess maybe we should all have sat back and waited for a proper explanation, but so many of us were excited that we jumped in. I'm hoping to do a second one today and see if my carefully ordering just a single batch makes it more fun because I don't have to wait so long

I have to make 4 medicine cabinets - it currently says it expires in 3.8 days.
Needed to produce aluminium ore, soda crystals, Quartz rock. My mine was 64% full but I added one batch of each more and when the hour ticked by it highlighted that section to say done. So I didnt need to wait until the whole lot was done.
Chopped the Maple trees - no problem. Produced the Maple Lumber - just added one batch more to what I had going already. Currently waiting for Mirror Glass, Aluminium sheets and Flat glass then I can make the cabinets - so far so good - Im quite enjoying this.
Will be interesting to see what the reward is.
I have to add that I only started the min amount possible for each item in the facility and so far the longest time to get the step completed is two hours. I DID have some production already - I havent tried starting more in case it really does wait for everything you started to finish! ( Hope that makes sense)

Finished it and got 10,260,000 coins - A nice reward for what I thought was fairly easy. Pleased with that

For each plot you get 1 box of wheat. and in this case it is 10 boxes. When you make the flour and the pasta those are listed as items not batches. So if you need 10 flour then make enough flour to get 10 individual flour and not 10 batches. Start any batches needed 1 at a time and not in multiples.

Yes. In the future they say we will be able to trade for goods, work for someone in their facilities or harvest for them to get some of these items. At that point if you have a neighbor with the needed facility then you would be able to work it to get what you need. At least that is the way I read it.

you must start the production using single batches... if you use the 30 or start all buttons, then the time set to that amount of batches you started. which can't be sped up in any way

In the Essential Oils Quest. It says that the quest expires in 2 days. I harvested 1/1 Vanilla and I Produced 10/10 Vanilla Essential Oil.

There is a black circle in the Produce Vanilla Oil box, with "11h" in white. When I scroll over the box a pop up says 10 started out of 10 total, 11.4 hours left for #10 to be done. What does this mean? There is not green check in that box. I made the Vanilla Oil yesterday. I even made more than required. I don't understand the quest or it is not working correctly. nope, thy are different for everyone, and the time is 20 hours from the time you accept a quest to when you can accept the next one

If you scroll over the next LOCKED quest, it will tell you how many hours till you can open it.

It now says I must start the previous quest first. I had the trees to harvest so I tried that, nope, I have to do it to get the next one. Currently since all work for a quest must be done on your own farms by you she will just have to wait until it expires. Depending on what level she is she can start another quest (1 per day) before that one expires.

Yes, it does work that way and now that I understand, I love the quests. Just got 10 m coins for a quest

daughter's second quest is also for facilities she doesn't have. She's not happy at all, particuarly after I have told her the money others are getting from their quests. If goods earned from others don't count yet, perhaps they could have made sure the quests offered were ones people actually had facilities for (no idea how easy that might be to code, but it seems to be making quite a few people unhappy)

Try clearing your cache, close your browser and then open your farm.

Have tried to do the steps of the 1st quest that you can do? If not try that and see if when you've got as far as you can, it lets you start the 2nd quest. I know some people have several quests started and none finished so it should let you.

Im still having problems with the first quest...25 apple/rasp/cherry juice.I have completely emptied one juice factory and used the start batch button..it says 25 sent to production..whats pending 25...and at the end it is always 100 done. What I dont understand is if your facilities were already listed and ppl keep coming in to work them does this mean my single 25 batch is never going to count towards the quest?..and what does the number in black circle mean?..mine says 218...last niight it was 238...I thought it meant time remaining?I started this quest as soon as they were available and am stilll on the first quest..cannot get over this 25 batch..any ideas?..much appreicated

The number in black is the amount of hours before the batch is finished. You need to start the batch for the quest as a single batch and not use the +10, +30 or start all. So basically you have failed the quest and will have to wait until it runs out and start again.

Check the number in the black circle. That will show you how long until that is done and your quest completed. The 1/1 shows you have started that part not that it is complete.

On your own farm by you. Did you harvest the flowers before starting the quest? If so then those won't count. You will have to wait for them to be ready again and harvest. Once they are harvested just start 1 batch of the bouquets.

You can still fill your facilities with the rest but do it after you have done the 1 batch for the quest. Raul has posted this is a glitch and they are working on it. When it is fixed then we won't have to load just 1 batch, but will be able to load 100% and the correct time will be shown for 1 batch.

Yes, do the single batch first so it shows in your quest as started, then you can fill your facility. The time for that single batch will not be effected by people working your facility. It is not possible for them to work your facility down to 0 batches as they only do 20% of what is remaining, not 20% of the original total. So no you won't have to start the batch over again.

I think they've fixed the glitch. The Quest I started yesterday that was going to take 14.9 days to complete was finished when I checked it tonight.

just checked and the two quests I started on Wed and Thurs are completed now and even though I did them incorrectly ( I hit the start all button) and said it would take 10 days to
complete but got finished today and got 10M coins which were added to my totalmuch happier now :)

- Issue -> When completing a Quest Step by clicking the +30 or +All button the Quest Manager shows that you have to wait until all the products you just started gets done

Status -> The issue above should be fixed now for future quests. For quests that have been created already, we made it so all timers were reset to 0 so you will not have to wait on products that were currently being made.

The change was they fixed it so you can start more than 1 batch which was what we had to do in the beginning. They set all the timers to zero for those open quests which made them ready tonight.

Yes, I had to make goose egg omelettes yesterday. First of all if you go to the 'full screen' mode you will see all the instructions. It is the semi trailer that you need to go to and order one batch of 'sausage pack'. Once that box has a green tick on it, and you've harvested the required crops, you then go to the breakfast restaurant, open it and order a batch of 'goose egg omelettes'.

I believe a glitch has been fixed now and you can just 'order all' or 'start all' on those facilities, but just in case, open each facility and click on a single batch until we're sure the other way is working.

The quests really are fun once you get the hang of them.

You can do all batches. Just be sure to open the facility and click on one single batch first, then go ahead and fill them all. The one batch will finish earlier so that you can continue with your quest. It definitely worked like this for me today.

We have been told that for now, we can only do quests using our own farms and our own produce and facilities. This may change down the track and we can work together with neighbours, but in the meantime you would need to have a large sea coast to finish the quest.

I have just opened todays quests and have to make bacon stuffed pork chops, but I dont have a semi trailer truck, nor the factory to produce the chops. Could someone tell me here what I am missing. I dont have the facility for the first quest. The second one has unlocked, but it now says I must complete the first one in order to start the second one. I cant. I thought everyone was saying that we would be able to skip or let them expire if we didnt have the facility. Looks like this is something a lot of us wont be able to take part in. Sad.

That's weird - I've finished the second quest while the first quest is still open. Dunno if it's because the devs did some tweaking tonight, but it worked OK for me. I hope that's the way it should be, because I've just got a quest that requires growing flowers, right after harvesting all my flowers, so that's a three-day wait before I can harvest them. Would be a pain for that to be holding up all the later quests.

Did you harvest those crops on your own farm after starting the quest?
It doesn't work for someone else to harvest for you or for you to harvest on someone elses farm.
Try clearing your cache, close your browser, and reopen your farm again. Then check.

If you have your mouse over the last item (making the ice cream) then it will show you need to make the sugar and chocolate before you can start the ice cream. But if you move your mouse over the sugar it will show that you need to harvest the sugarcane in green as you need to harvest before you can make it.

If you hover your mouse over the 'make lobster soup' box it will tell you if you still have something else to do first. I think perhaps you will be required to harvest the onions before you can make the lobster soup because the onions will be an ingredient that you need. The boxes turn pale green and yellow with extra instructions, if there is something you are missing the correct order of. Hope this helps.

Try clearing your cache, close your browser, reopen and try again. Make sure you move the mouse until it becomes a hand.
For the quest you are trying to open new, does it have a lock or the mystery dice showing. If it is a lock then it isn't time yet. You only get 1 per day.

At the bottom of the quest when you have completed it, is a button to Redeem Prize. When you click on that a new page tells you how much you got and your new total coins.

I started my first quest yesterday - I had to harvest one rubber tree and make 40 surgical gloves

I harvested a tree which was ready and started a batch of gloves which were to take 6 hours. It is now more than 12 hours (could be closer to 18) and still the quest says I have 12 hours to go. What is wrong? I should have finished this quest ages ago

I think you have to harvest a tree that is ready after you accept quest. I found most everything had to be started after. I am almost thru with my 5th one. Trial and error!!! Kind of fun to do and figure out! I found I had to start an ingred in my facs after and could not use help.

Clear your cache, close your browser and reopen to your farm. That may help. If not hunt for the spot where your pointer changes to a hand. It may be slightly off.

as to the question "has anyone completed a quest..i have completed 4 of them and made lots of coin..so i'm having a great time..one of them i had to get oak lumber but had to buy an oak tree as i had chopped all mine...lol..now i dedicate 1 farm to a couple trees of each just so i'll have them to do when necessary...i will enjoy these quests as long as they don't interfere with my normal workings...like some other farm game we all know..i don't think we should have to plant more crop than we have room for...

Quests are goals that can be achieved for working and producing products on your own farm.
Prizes are in coins.
These quests are only enabled for users at level 30 or higher.

There is a new icon in the extended tool bar (Mystery Dice) that will allow you to accept new Quests. Here are the rules:

- You can only accept 1 Quest per day and it has to be completed before it expires

- You can have several active Quests at the same time depending on your level, here is the table:

Level 30.....1 Max Active Quests
Level 50.....2 Max Active Quests
Level 100....3 Max Active Quests
Level 150....4 Max Active Quests
Level 200....5 Max Active Quests

- A Quest has several steps. Roll your mouse over each Quest Step to find out what needs to be done. You must complete each step before starting the next.

- You will earn prizes every time you complete a Quest. The Quest will be finished when all its steps are completed. Click the "Redeem Prize" button to collect your reward.

The prize in coins will be higher depending on:

a) How fast the Quest was completed
b) The complexity of the Quest (amount of Quest Steps)
c) User Level

- In the future the Mayor might occasionally award you 1 FarmCash and/or ingredients based on your performance in previous Quests

- Right now, Quest Steps need to be completed by working by yourself in your farm or facilities. That is to say, crops or products you get as a bonus working for others, as gifts or by trading at the market won't count, but they will in the future. For now, if you hire others to harvest it wont count either, this may change as well.

- You can use any tool when harvesting, fishing, etc.

Do you mean the "steps" for each quest? Hover your mouse over each of the items and it will show you how much time until that step is completed or what is required. If you hover over an item that you cannot start yet, it will highlight the steps that are yet to complete in green.

Hi there,

You can accept only 1 quest per day. If that quest took longer to finish than 1 day, the next day you can accept another quest even if the 1st one isn't finished. Then you would have 2 quests running. At your game level you can have up to 5 quests running this way.

If you are finishing your quests on the same day you started them, then you will only have one quest running at a time and will be waiting until the following day to be able to unlock another quest.

Sorry no, there is no way to clear a quest, if you don't want to do it, just ignore it. Haven't heard of anyone getting a repeat quest until now, but as you have one, it looks like it's possible.

When you move your mouse over a block that says that it will show some of the other blocks in a green shade. If those haven't completed then you cannot start the cheeseburgers.
So for a cheeseburger you have to harvest 10 wheat (after you start the quest) and harvest milk first. Then you can order the meat, start the cheese, and start the buns. Once you have done all that then you can start the cheeseburger.
Also remember you must do all of these steps by yourself. You have to do the planting and harvesting. You cannot get someone else to harvest for you.

WHen you click on the Redeem Prize button the next page shows you haw much you got and what your new total is. Look at that and then check your total in the upper left corner to make sure they are the same. You won't see any coins floating up for that.

One more thing you can try is to click on this link with your farm open:

Done. Still having the same problem. I've been able to complete 2 more quests while waiting for the Shroom-Lentil Burger quest to pull it's head out!!! I'm at a loss and totally frustrated. Any other suggestions? Has anyone else had this problem? :mad:

It is showing that but I have been producing them all day. Also, when I go to the actual quest and roll my mouse over the box that says "Produce Shrooms-Lentils" it tells me that nothing has been started yet. :confused:

That is correct. However, once they are done, I can guarantee that it will still not register. Also, as I pointed out previously, the box in the quest is saying that nothing has been started when clearly it has!! :(

It should tell you at the top middle of your FT screen by your XPS. I am at 310 level.

I think I have done everything I can. The batch of burgers that would have completed the quest are done yet I am still showing that none of the burgers have been started. I have enough burgers to feed everyone in Texas!!! Oh well, I'll just have to let it expire and see if that straightens it out.

Because I am doing the frozen food quests and planted the carrots, corn, peans and beans as required and had them harvested by people I hired at the market, and they are sitting in my storage but when I go to view my progress in the quest it is saying that I have not completed the stages involving in the production of the required crops?

So I don't know whether to load up the frozen food facility in case it still doesn't recognise me as have completed the previous step of producing the crops.

Can anyone explain what I'm doing wrong?

Yes, you have to harvest them yourself. No outside help can be used yet.

Hi Mods! Look I have to say something here about quests. Im loving them and think the Devs have done an outstanding job on this. My problem is that being on level 310 I think the quests need to be level appropriate. Day after day Im getting quests that request me to harvest a 5 pear trees and make a tin of pear slices! Yesterday it was a few tomatoes and make a bottle of ketchup! The day before was chop a few bamboo trees to make a table and chairs. Those quests were done with 2 clicks... 15 seconds worth of work and then have to wait another 20 hours to get another quests that then takes me another 15 seconds!! I would expect that for the very lowest level that allows you to do a quest.. certainly not at level 310 with 13 farms that are full of everything! I get my fun by doing my partners farm that seems to get the quests that require alot of things to perform the quest. Having said this.. I really love the whole concept of Quests so I do thank the Devs for that :)

question why do we get quests for things we dont have on our farm? a suggestion for that offer an alternative quest. i like the quest thing but i think it should be on what you have on your farms. i dont buy ft cash to get faclities so i guess now i have a quest to ignore.

Open your Extended toolbox where the Facility Manager is. It is in the far left column above the tropy. Looks like a dice or box with a "?" on the side of it.

I just opened a quest and am unable to complete it, due to lack of a "facility". There is no way to "buy" with farm cash--or to purchase farm cash to buy it, as I am on a very limited real cash flow. How do I eliminate this "Quest" from my request list and go on to the next one? If the "mayor" builds "personalized quests" how come I got one that I cannot complete? I have been playing Farm Town for a long time...If I am going to get quests that I must spend real cash to get farmtown cash--quess the quest thing must be eliminated from my play. Thanks :confused:

The only thing you can do is let it run until it expires. You can open another one in 20 hours. The quests are not personalized. They are just random.

Is anyone else having trouble getting part of their quest to register as being done? I've been trying to make pastrami as the last part of my quest but it keeps telling me that I haven't started any production. I still have time before it expires but I also know that the faster you finish one, the more coin you are rewarded with. Thanks!

Your Quest level is your Farm Town level. This determines how many quests you can have open at one time.
There is no tracking for hyow many quests you have done.
We cannot currently hire others to harvest those crops needed for the quests, but Raul also say that is coming in the future.

Depending on what level you are you can have multiple quests open. One farm day (20 hrs) after you opened this one you can open another one.

Nothing in the release note says they are going to be just from facilities you have. They are random, but not based on facilities you have.
In the future (whenever that is) we will be able to work others facilities and harvest crops for them, as well as be able to buy in the market and those will count for your quests, but currently you have to do it all yourself.

Nothing. It will run out of time.

The next quest will be available 20 hours from the time you open up one.

Just wanted to let you know that I am doing a quest for 20 sandwich w/veggies and it is completing the quest before everything is done. I had everything done except for the bread to finish but it let me make the sandwiches BEFORE the bread was done. I now have the "redeem prize" button available, but the bread still has another hour before it will be completed.....

The quest dice is in the extended toolbox above your facility manager on the far left.

I think this Quest thing, has alot of glitches...I keep harvesting Barley and Hops and they are not registering as being harvested..so why bother.

Are you harvesting them on your farm yourself? If not then that is why they are not registering. You cannot harvest them on other's farms or have someone harvest them on yours currently. You must do it yourself on your farm.

I don't know if there is anything you can do to get more complex quests - I think it is random. I have completed 6 quests and today my new quest was to make French Onion Soup. This is 10 steps and I think it will take almost all the allotted time so I will be interested to see that my reward is.

ok i think its very unfairthat quests arent based on what you have on your farm. i now have 2 quests i cant do cause of stuff i dont have. no i dont have the oil refinery i never thought of getting it plus it costs alot of farm town cash which i never have enough to buy all the stuff you need to buy. i think if we can do parts of it then we should get credit for it. or give us more farm town cash to buy the things we dont have. or change some of the things to farm town cash or coin oppitions. i like doing the quests but i i think it should be based on what we have on farm and not what we dont have.:( right now i only have 18 farm town cash if i now got to buy the oil refinery then ft fork over the rest so i can get it lol

Just did another quest and the same thing on the last step. This one is to make hot fudge sundaes and it told me to make the ice cream (6 hours) and I started that, closed the quest, and immediately went to make the hot fudge sunday and it worked. The sundaes will be ready 3 hours before the ice cream...:o
