Best Farm Contest - 8th September - 30th September, 2017

Hi Farmers :)

Welcome to our Official September Competition!! En Español AQUI (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=631290)

This month's theme is "School, College or University", so post here your fabulous farms and get the chance to win some Farm Cash.

This months theme is all about School, College or University.

Have your kids gone back to school? Do you have a favourite memory of your time there, at college or university or something your child did while there?

School yards, classrooms, fetes, competitions and qualifications could be something you remember well.

Design your farm to represent something you or your children enjoyed at this important time of their lives.

THEME WINNER: Many thanks and congratulations go to misskathleen for being the first to suggest the theme we are using this month.
misskathleen wins 15FC for her idea!

Important Notice for ALL who enter, especially Late Entries:

If you have never entered before or are unsure if you will be able to post correctly, please do not leave entering the contest until the last day. We are here to help, but it takes time to communicate with you via Private Messages and you need to be logged onto the forum to recieve them in order for us to be able to help you before the contest closes. We often need to help many members and it may not be possible to correct all entries in time, if they are entered on the last day.

Please double check your contest entry BEFORE you leave the forum. If it is obvious that something is missing from your entry, like the picture of your farm or your farm link then you are going to need help to fix it. If you see your entry does not look right please do post a request for help in the contest help thread and regularly check the forum for any replies to your request for help or any Private Messages sent to you.

Any entries that are not posted correctly by the time the contest closes will not be entered into the competition!

Thank you for your co-operation:)

Note: All times are in GMT

Contest Guidelines:

You can use any items from the Store, Gifts or your Storage.
You can choose between a "picture farm" or a traditional design.
You will be able to harvest any crops, trees etc. Crops must be in place at the close of the competition, and can be any crop, but they either must be growing or fully grown and not wasted. This also applies to trees and flowers. You can chop/harvest trees and flowers, but they will need to be at full growth, by the time the competition closes.

Contest Rules:

If you are using animals, then you MUST Freeze your animals. The reason for this is because your animals may wander to a different part of your farm which may spoil your design. ALSO your picture MUST be an exact replica of your farm. Freezing your animals will ensure they do not move. To do this click in your Preferences, the wrench, and put a check mark to Freeze Animals. You must keep this option checked until the contest has been judged and the winners announced. If you do not do this your contest entry will be disqualified.
You have to be a member of the Forum.
Your farm can be any size.
Your entry needs to be a picture of your farm. Do not post a picture on behalf of someone else.
One farm entry per contestant. Do not start another forum account to enter another farm.
Be sure you are entering the correct farm and picture for your entry as you may not change your mind once entered. You cant add/delete any items on your farms once you posted your photo into the contest. NOTICE: If new items are released AFTER you have entered you are not allowed to make additions to your entry, so please be sure you are done.
Your farm photo must be an exact replica of your farm. Do not hide ANYTHING to take your photo. This means you have to put a check mark to ALL options (Show ... ) in your Preferences before taking your photo.
Do NOT redecorate the farm you have entered into the contest until the winners have been announced.
You have to provide the following information: A photo of the farm that you wish to enter. The link to the farm you are entering. The name that you have given that farm and the farm number

Links to help you:

How do I post a picture for the Contest? (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=616834) Please remember, you must use the Small size while taking your photo as the Regular and Large sizes are too big for the forum. If you choose the wrong size, then we will delete your post and will send you a private message asking you to take a new photo using the right size. NOTICE: Your farm photo MUST be set to Public or we will not be able to help you if your entry needs fixing. To set the photo to Public, please open your Farm town album, and click in your photo. You will see the photo and on the right you will see your name and the date, besides the date you can see who are able to see that photo. Click there and set it to Public.
ALSO, remember to remove the check mark if you have set that farm as PRIVATE, so we can visit it.

Linking your farm to the Forum (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=616838) Please remember we need the link to the farm you are entering.

Contest Help (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=616842) Please post here if you have any questions or requests for help.

My path to education starts at pre-school, goes through elementary and secondary school. My high school includes a student greenhouse project. Then some students may choose training on the job or a technical school. Computers, art, automotive, gardening, music and sports are some options. Others may take the train directly to college. In addition to academics, enjoy a book sale, art show and soccer match on the campus. Learning is life long!

"Personalities"
My memories of my boys in school was the dreaded "Conferences" when you are given a progress report from their teachers.

My oldest son's (the boy standing) report was always "Your son is such a good boy and a delight in my class, he is one of my favorite students".

Then is was time for my youngest son's (the boy with the dunce hat) report "Your son is always disruptive in my class with trying to be funny all the time, he is not one of my favorite students".

I would walk out of that school and chuckle to myself seeing the difference in my son's personality even in the classroom.

Fast forward 40 years and I have 2 sons who have grown into fine men with families of their own and doing very well in this world ... their father and myself are very proud of both our boys.

La Rinnovata Pizzigoni School - Farm 1
The Renovated Pizzigoni was born by the will of Giuseppina Pizzigoni (1870-1947), a unique teacher who knew how to make this school really special. "This is a school a bit different from other primary schools in Milan The difference and strength of our school, compared to the "classics", is in the fact that it has 22,000 square meters of park with gardens, plants and animals that are part of the didactics. The presence within the Renovation of a real farm, , allows children to make continuous direct observations and practical experiences. For example: milk is studied by visiting a stable of a farm; the bread sowing, picking, grinding and cooking the bread itself; plants and herbs are also grown; soap is made to understand how it is done. Or they learn geometry, literally "on the field". The pupils, in fact, study the shapes of small plots of land to be cultivated that are entrusted to them, according to one of Giuseppina Pizzigoni's main teachings: from experience to teaching. Learning must be deductive and non-inductive: this is one of the main features of the Pizzigoni method. My son's school, I did my best to reproduce as faithfully as possible, There are many photos on Google, It's a paradise for children
