Hi There,

This is a lite update with just facilities and expansions as we continue working on the Trading Warehouse feature. En Español AQUI (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=640646)

1. Next 5 expansions for Farm 39, see prices below:

Upgrade Farm 24x24 - 37000000000 or 25 FarmCash
Upgrade Farm 26x26 - 37500000000 or 25 FarmCash
Upgrade Farm 28x28 - 38000000000 or 25 FarmCash
Upgrade Farm 30x30 - 38500000000 or 25 FarmCash
Upgrade Farm 32x32 - 39000000000 or 30 FarmCash

2. Continued the development of the 'Trading Warehouse' feature: We are still deciding on the details but check the general idea below:

a) Will allow farmers to trade offline by visiting the Trading Warehouses of other farmers at any time
b) Create Buy Offers for products you want to buy
c) Create Sell Offers for products you want to sell
d) Offers will be created similar to the way that Online Offers are currently created
e) Other farmers Trading Warehouses can be accessed through the neighbour bar, by visiting a farm or by clicking on an avatar
f) Offers can be created for primary products and also Super Facility products
g) Each product type will have it's own buying/selling limit restriction per day
h) There is a limited amount of Offer Slots that can be active for each product category at any given time, these are provided for free
i) Extra Offer Slots can be purchased for Farm Cash

I have been with you for 10 years now and own every factory you put out, this 4 farm cash facts and 2 coin fact every month is getting very costly .. can we please have a break on this and go back to 4 Coin and 2 Farm Cash. Please... as soon as these go out and you play quests you have to buy them to get anything and all for 2 FC.. wish i could sell my farm and recoup some of my real cash. the game isn't fun anymore its work, when a game becomes work it is no longer a game. JMHO

This evening, since the new release, on Google Chrome: when I hover over the farm and use the mouse wheel to zoom in or out the scroll is also engaged and moving the page up or down as well. Opera and Edge browsers are working fine. Wondering if this is something related to the new release or just a coincidence. Anyone else having this problem?

yes, I just tested it and its happening to me also, I use google chrome... it may be a browser related problem, nothing to do with slashkey..

Try closing out your browser and reopen to see if that fixes it. There haven't been any other reports of this and 2 of the moderators use Chrome and didn't have any problems with it.


EDIT: Just talked to one of the other moderators and she said it started a few days ago when she updated Chrome, so it seems to be a Chrome problem and not anything to do with the release.

yes, I just tested it and its happening to me also, I use google chrome... it may be a browser related problem, nothing to do with slashkey..

thanks guys. I have been on the farm for 10 years too and I have paid real money to play to the full extent of the game but some people don't. It is a choice you can make and play either way. I am still happily playing the game. Other games get much more expensive and I won't play them at all. Anyway this is my opinion and others have their opinions as is normal in life.

Hi All,
This appears to be a Chrome problem as it is happening after a Chrome update. You will have to use the + & - to zoom in and out until Chrome fixes it.

Thanks to everyone who replied. Thanks for the confirmation Taz. I'll just use Edge until Chrome gets its act together. I also lost my internet connection a while ago so lots of non-farming issues tonight!

The Trading Warehouse has not been released yet, so you can't buy the extra slots yet.

Suggestions are vbiewed by the developers in the Suggestion section, but it is up to the developers to decide if they can or will and when they might implement your suggestions.

The Game is getting more enjoyable all the time.. my only problem is that many, very much used, ingredients (harvests ++ ) take too long to produce. I also wondered if it isn't time to look at the cost of some of the tool prices... could the lower end ones be made cheaper, or more available for Coins ??

My suggestion concerns the new trader warehouse function and how it will affect regular quests, specifically in reference to the trader lifeline. Will there be some sort of restriction on using products from the warehouse in the quests for the trader lifeline? No matter what the answer is, it needs to be clearly delineated in the directions for that function, so it can be easily referenced.

Same here, LA Bob..... running 2 accounts at 2 billion points each.... and after buying multiples of the factories for coin and at least one of every FC facility,.... well, it does mean I spent a lot over the last 10 years.

I will continue to do so.... spend some each month and enjoy.

It's up to the developers what they put in what facility and what that facility will cost. We are not privy to the decisions they make.

Just because something could be used elsewhere doesn't mean they are going to do it.

I strongly agree. This imbalance is increasingly creating a disadvantage in the neighborhood contests and also in the quests for those who simply can't afford 90-plus FC every month or so. It is discouraging and making me lose interest in FT.

And while I'm at it, the inability to have more than one semi truck is infurating because of the additional need for more of some of its products. THe bakeries, the brewery and the meadery, for example, cannot get enough yeast, in large part because the neighborhood contests makes it desirable to post two or more times a day to be competitive. Why is this the only facility where only one is allowed?

Battled cancer while playing....But you just about have to be a millionaire to play now..... I understand that problem.... had it myself in the early years. So I made a word.doc with every facility and ship, train etc.

If you want I can email you the form. Then you can open your facility manager, use it in alphabetical order and fill in just one column on the form .

Keep it up to date with each release.

I agree with you! I think they should work on some speed of the farms also. They have so much on them you can hardly do any work. Way to many facilities right now. Yes I also know you can extend them but the larger you make them it the harder it is to move them.

Lisianthus is in the flower section of the store. You might find searching the flower section Alphabetically easier or the quicker way is to click on the search box at the top of the store and start typing Lisianthus. It will then come into view.

More & more people are unable to afford the high cost of Farm Cash. Unfortunately, the company has eaten the greedy bug & doesn't realize that it's past the point of taking advantage of the addicts obsessions. Now is the time for them to take a lesson from Sam Walton.

I too, am unable to afford extra Farm Cash items. It's never too late to change the mission & strategy so that most players can afford to purchase additional items. Why not reduce the items to 15 FC instead of 50? Or, charge Coins instead of FC which would be even better.

I have to agree. Although I stopped buying every last new Farm Cash facility and tool a long time ago, and firmly believe that this game can be enjoyable without owning every single facility and tool, having $20 worth of Farm Cash items released every single month is just unreasonable. And I agree that adding so many facilities every month has ceased to be fun. I too used to derive the greatest part of my enjoyment from FT by creating new farm layouts, but now it just seems like I need to create new farms and layouts for the sole purpose of having a place to put new facilities, unless I go the route of hiding them all behind other objects, like some players.

It's also true that it's become nearly impossible to get 2 FC for completing cooperative quests, because the sheer number of products produced by the ever increasing number of facilities, especially products for which there is limited use, makes it too difficult too frequently to find all the ingredients necessary to complete enough of the quests. I enjoy doing the regular quests, and used to enjoy doing the cooperative quests. I would like to see the developers either find a way to change cooperative quests to make it more possible to complete them and obtain the 2 FC, or come up with some other type of quest or process to earn FC on a regular basis.

And in general, I don't feel like a lot of the new things added to the game have added to the FUN factor - they just feel like ways to scramble to try to keep up with the constantly increasing need to get more, more, more of everything (and some of those just seem too complicated and time consuming, on top of it). They haven't made the game more enjoyable.

I agree DianeCK. I, too, have been playing for about 10 years and I try to set aside my $39.99 to buy farmcash. It is getting so costly to buy fc facilities and to expand my farms. This last update with 4 fc facilities and 2 coin facilities was not what I expected. I wish they'd go back to even amounts of facilities for fc and coins.

I also agree with the many players we have way to many farm cash factories. I would like to see an upgrade in tools. We haven't had one since the purple hand was created. Just my opinion but the majority of farm cash factories is a waste of money the only ones worth buying are the oil refinery, oil factory, and cinnamon factory the rest is useless. I have a farm with almost 3000 factories and less then 20 are farm cash factories. My point is you really don't need to spend a lot of money on this game if you play smart I spend less then $20 a month and most of that goes for train cars.

I usually get 2 FC every week from Coop Quests. I do not own every facility, but by opening a new quest twice daily, I can usually still complete enough for the FC. In the Farmtown Social Forum, there is a section for help with Coop Quests. I often find the products I need there. Also, in the Market Place you can click on any person and see their Coop Quests. I don't mind if someone even clicks on my Farm Link in the Forums to see if I have something they need. That is what Coop is...cooperative. As I said, I don't have every FC Facility, nor do I have all the farms available, but I have a lot and if you visited, you would see I have no problem having planned, decorative farms without stacking or burying facilities under crops and trees. My farms designated for facilities have room for more than 100 of them and they are not even expanded to full size. The game has continued to be enjoyable for me for more 10 years. Now retired on a fixed income, I still can spend a few $$ every month. I would rather spend them here than go to a movie. I have never felt pressured to have the most XP, all of the facilities or be the top dog on my Neighbors Bar, but I will never begrudge my neighbors, who can do so, having the option of buying ALL of the facilities every month. Suggesting FarmTown not offer the very thing that funds this game is like asking all Motor Home manufacturers to stop making motor homes because you can't afford one like your neighbor owns.

Thank you to the Developers for continually offering so many options in this game, which I can choose to use...or not. Thanks to the Moderators, too. You have more patience than I do.

The developers do not tell us in advance anything they are going to release. As the last levels were released in January (at double FC for each) and we usually get new levels every 3 months then we should be getting new levels in the next release.

I usually get 2 FC every week from Coop Quests. I do not own every facility, but by opening a new quest twice daily, I can usually still complete enough for the FC. In the Farmtown Social Forum, there is a section for help with Coop Quests. I often find the products I need there. Also, in the Market Place you can click on any person and see their Coop Quests. I don't mind if someone even clicks on my Farm Link in the Forums to see if I have something they need. That is what Coop is...cooperative. As I said, I don't have every FC Facility, nor do I have all the farms available, but I have a lot and if you visited, you would see I have no problem having planned, decorative farms without stacking or burying facilities under crops and trees.
