LOL No problem. I assume that people are in the middle of something/get bumped/glitch in game when I don't get a response. I've often wonder where my aviator is located when I'm in the forums. I went back to my farm the other day and someone had tried to hire me while I was in the forums. The text bubble was still on my farm. I bet they think I'm nuts for not responding. LOL
