Lorrain

I am a mother, daughter, sister, friend. I am righteous but vindictive, a student, a teacher, a girl, a woman. I am generous, passionate, & hungry for truth. I am a poet built from pain & neglect. I am strong, but not strong enough to live without faith. I die daily to the person I once was, looking forward to the person I will become. I am misunderstood, but not alone. I am grateful & joyful. My treasure is not in anything material or perishable, but is stored in my mind & heart.
