What are quests?
https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameg...Quest icon.jpg Regular Quests Q: What are the Regular quests? A: Quests are a way to earn extra coins on your farm by performing goals. These goals are products that you make using your facilities. A quest might require you to harvest crops, animals, trees, fish etc. You will then use those harvests to make other products until you reach your goal. You can also earn Farm Cash by completing Quests within a certain time. |

How do i complete a quest?
Q: How do i complete a quest?
A: Once you've accepted a quest, you will see a window like this... https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameg...fork quest.PNG At the top of the window it shows you how much time until the quest will expire and no longer count. You need to complete your quest before time expires. As you can see, this particular quest is to produce Pitch fork. You have to follow the steps in order to complete the quest. The steps that you can do right now are those that are highlighted. In this case, Harvest oak log pile, produce chromite ore, produce iron ore. As you see from the picture above, there is also a number 0/11 etc.. That lets you know how many you will need to complete that step. Fertilized farms DO count as 2 harvests in quest steps. Each step that you complete, will show a green checkmark on it... https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameg...rk quest 1.PNG Steps that require you to make something in a facility can be done from the Quest Manager. Hover over the facility and you will see an "Open" button. Click it to open the facility and start your batch. https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameg...rk quest 2.PNG Some steps you may see a black circle, that shows you how much time is needed to produce that quantity of the item needed. In the case of the step below, It's just under 6 hours. You can hover your mouse over that circle to get an exact time till it's complete. https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameg...rk quest 3.PNG If you hover your mouse over a step thats not highlighted, it will let you know what steps have to be completed first before that step, as shown below. https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameg...rk quest 4.PNG You MUST complete ALL steps in order to complete a quest If you can't complete a quest because you don't own a facility, try a lifeline, but please note, that lifelines do NOT help with the final step of the quest. You can also buy that facility to complete a quest with. If you can't do either of those, then you can just let the quest expire. |
How much do i get for a quest?
Q: How much do i get for a quest?
A: The prize in coins will be higher depending on:
Earn Farm Cash while completing Quests: Here are the rules:
The coins and farmcash buttons are independent of each other, so collect the coins!!! then collect your farmcash. Once the 7 days are up and you are able to collect farmcash again, you will either see a black box, which means you haven't done enough quests in order to collect.. or a blue box, which means you are now able to collect either 1 or 2 FC. These rules may change in the future, specially if we do more changes to the Quests functionality. |
How do i claim my prize?
Q: How do i claim my prize?
A: Once you've completed all the steps required, and you have all green check marks, as shown in the image below, you can then click the blue button at the bottom left side of the screen to "Collect Coins" https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameg...rk quest 6.PNG Q: What is the Show Quests button? "Show Quests" button located bottom right of the screen will show you how many quests you have completed and collected the coins for and how long ago they were completed https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameg...ted 7 days.JPG As you can see in the above picture, it shows 5 completed quests done in the last 7 days and one in red text which shows one that is more than 7 days old and will NOT count for the weeks quests. Q: What is the Claim FarmCash button? When this button turns blue you may claim your farm cash according to the rules. https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameg...ward rules.jpg |
What are the lifelines?
Q: What are the lifelines?
A: Quests Social Lifelines: Social Lifelines allows you to complete Quest Steps by interacting with friends. When you are stuck in a Quest you may decide to use a Social Lifeline to help you move forward. http://r1.slashkey.com/images/gamegu...saver icon.JPG - Click the lifesaver icon in the top right of the quest window. The type of lifeline given to you is random, so you will not know what it is until you have clicked it. For now there will be 3 different kinds of Social Lifelines:- http://r1.slashkey.com/images/gamegu...t lifeline.jpg - Gifting Lifeline - Allows you to complete Quest Steps by using gifts or ingredients from friends. In this case after you accept the gifts or ingredients you will have to Store them for them to be counted toward your Quest Steps requirements. Example : If you need an ingredient that can be gifted from the gift page or sent via requesting ingredients from a product in a facility that you own, you can use this lifeline to request the item or exchange a gift for it. Once stored it will count towards your quest. http://r1.slashkey.com/images/gamegu...r Lifeline.jpg - Trading Lifeline When this lifeline is added back it will allow you to complete Quest Steps by trading goods with other farmers in the Market. This will help if you need a Primary product ( crops, harvested animal products, tree logs, tree fruits, fish and flowers) that can be bought from another farmer . You would need to meet up with them somewhere in the game and both be on line, then they would click on you to sell you what you need. You can not buy products made in facilities from another farmer. The exception to this rule is if the product you need is made in a Super Facility. You can use this lifeline to buy from another farmer that has a Super Facility making the product you need. Example: If you needed FarmTown Beer and someone has the Brewery as a Super Facility, they can sell that product to you and it will count for your Quest. The regular/primary products you buy in your Trading Warehouse do NOT count toward your Quest Trade Lifeline. http://r1.slashkey.com/images/gamegu...e lifeline.jpg - Employee Lifeline - Allows you to complete Quest Steps by working for others in farms or facilities. The product bonuses you get by working for others will count toward your Quest Steps requirements. This will help if you can gain what you need by being hired to work on a farm or by working a facility to gain the products made in that facility. Example, if the middle part of the quest (not the final step) required a product made in a facility that you do not own yet but a neighbour does, you can work their facility to gain that product for part of your quest. Lifelines can not be used for the final step of the Quest (1st box shown top left of the Quest). Also, you can only have 1 lifeline in use at any given time. |
I did what it said, and theres no checkmark, what now?
Q: I did what it said, and theres no checkmark, what now?
A: There are 2 common reasons why this would happen :-
Be careful, and make sure you have the products needed, if for some reason you have used them, then you will need to make more, providing you still have the needed ingredients to do so. |
Quest Farms - Includes information on the Private Farm Setting and Disable Super-Neighbour Setting.
How and when you can set a farm as a Quest farm and what changes when you own the Animal Harvesting tools. Setting a farm as a Quest Farm can be done when you have at least 2 Farms. For those that like to keep a farm with some of the crops/tree/flowers etc that are often needed for Regular Quests this prevents those items from showing up in Farm Stats when you also remove the check mark at the bottom of the Farm Stats for "Include products due to Fertilization, belts and bonuses" To set a farm as a Quest farm when you have 2 farms. Go to the farm that you want to set as a Quests Farm and click on the Name of that farm at the top of your game screen. You will then see these options: https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameg...D MAR 2023.pngAdd a check mark to Make this farm a Quest Farm and then click the green check mark to save that change. Only you will be able to use the mobile sprinklers to irrigate or water your Quest or Private farms. Neighbours, Buddies, Super Neighbours or anyone visiting or any stranger that you hire to work your farms can not use the mobile sprinklers on those farms. Remember that the flowers on a Quest farm can be watered using the watering can. Private Farm - prevents farmers from going to that farm. This would also prevent anyone from using the watering can to water flowers on that farm. If you also set it as a Quest farm, the mobile sprinklers that you or any super neighbour owns can not be used either. The Disable Super-Neighbour farming would prevent Super Neighbours from doing any farm work on that farm, like crops, trees, flowers, fishing. |
Chapter 28: What are Cooperative Quests?
https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameg...co op icon.png Cooperative Quests (also referred to as Co-ops) These types of Quests are completely separate from the regular quests (brown dice) and have their own Cooperative Quest Manager. Some farmers can find these Quests easier to complete and earn Farm Cash from than the other type of Quests. You can try both types and see if you can earn some Farm Cash from both! You can Earn Farm Cash by completing a number of Quests within a 7 day period. The 7 day timer starts counting down the second your first Quest completes. You will need Neighbours that also participate in the Cooperative Quests Your Neighbours need to have some open Quests for you to buy from. You can open a Cooperative Quest every 10 hours.
You can have up to 5 Cooperative Quests open depending on your level If you open a Quest in the morning, you can open another one in the evening. To Open a Cooperative Quest click on your yellow toolbox and then click on the Pale Blue Dice with a question mark which is near the top of the 2nd column on the left. https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameg...ER TOOLBOX.png At the top of the window it tells you what the Quest is. In this example the Quest is to Produce 10 x Onion Pizza. There are 7 steps for this Quest. Each step has it's own box. When there are more than 12 steps in a Quest a scroll bar will be on the side that you can click on and drag up/down to view more steps OR if you are using a computer mouse and it has a mouse wheel you can use that to scroll through them. To know what facility the product is made or loaded in mouseover the final step which is always top left. It will be dimmed out as you can not do the final step until you complete all of the previous steps. The tooltip will show you the name of the facility. This final step often referred to as the last step of a Quest is the one you need to in your own facility to complete the Quest. https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameg... MOUSEOVER.pngThe steps that are not dimmed out are the ones you complete first, in this case it's to buy tomatoes, onions, wheat and cow milk using your Neighbours Co-operative Quests. When you are unable to buy from your Neighbours Co-operative Quests there are other methods you can try which will be explained later. To complete steps using your Neighbours you can order your neighbours bar at the bottom of the game screen, by clicking on anyone in the bar and then clicking Order by Cooperative Quests Any Neighbours that have co-ops open have a blue dot on their picture. Use the arrows on the right of the neighbours bar to see more of them. NOTE: When searching for products for your own Quest, you may find it quicker to to start with any Neighbour with a blue dot furthest left, then you can then quickly go through them all. To view a Neighbours Co-Operative Quests click on their picture and then click on Show Cooperative Quests All the large pictures on the left side are Quests. This example shows 1 Buy button so this farmer can click on Buy on the Wheat needed for their quest to complete that step. If they have that product in storage that step in your quest will get a green check mark to show it's completed. If you are unable to find all the products you need for your quest you can place a help note on a step. A Neighbour can sell it to you if they have one in storage and see the Help Note. They can help you with one help note per Quest. We recommend that you avoid placing these Help notes until you have at least one for every step left (this does not include the very last step which you must always complete yourself). To complete the final step of a Quest you must have check marks on all of the previous steps and enough of the ingredients or products needed for the final step in storage. Completing steps does not always mean you will have them if you have also been using your products in facilities. The final step where the product is produced or loaded will have an open button when you own the facility and it is on one of your farms. Farm Cash Reward Rules - You must complete 4 quests in 7 days to claim 1 Farm Cash or you must complete 13 quest in 7 days to claim 2 Farm Cash. Other Methods to open Co-Operative Quests of other farmers and the cost of buying from a stranger. You can open a farmers Cooperative Quest Manager by clicking on the blue quest icon shown at the bottom left when you visit their farms. When there is no Quest icon they do not have any Quests open. https://r1.slashkey.com/images/gameg...HETTY COOP.pngWhen you are online in an area of the game where you can see other farmers you can open a farmers Cooperative Quest Manager by clicking on their Avatar and then clicking on View xxx Co-operative Quests If they have co-operative quests you will be able to see them and be able to buy what you need for your own quest. At the bottom of the window you will have the same navigation arrows to go from quest to quest or farmer to farmer as you do when viewing your neighbours quests. The only difference is that instead of a profile picture you will see their avatar picture. NOTE: Buying from a stranger will cost you considerably more coins than buying from a friend/neighbour. Example: If 1 item costs 180 coins. What you pay is 180 x 2000 so it will cost you 360,000 coins!!! If you are not buying much, this will not seem so bad when you can earn up to 15 million coins for completing the quest, so even though you paid a higher price than buying from a Neighbour you will still be making a large profit when you complete the Quest and claim the coins. You can not help strangers with their help notes. If you see that they need something that you have in your own quest, you can send them a message to let them know you have what they need. Depending on where you are there are 2 methods to send a message to a stranger:
