Just looked up cedar wood oil (Wikipedia). The info there states taht modernly this oil is usually made from the wood of juniper and cypress, not from the cedar tree.
Among the interesting uses for the oil is as an insect repellant, in addition to the rather commonly known use in aromatherapy.
