I think that this is just for the animals roaming on the farm, not the ones stored in a shed or coop etc where many farmers have the super animals, and numerous regular animals.
The result of this will probably be players having a full coop/shed/barn on every farm, just to keep up with the demand for milk, eggs, wool etc.
