This morning I needed soy beans, cotton and blueberries for a new quest. I had all of them grown and ready to harvest. What I don't need I harvest and replant. The faster the quest is completed, the larger the coin return. It take a little time to maintain but better than waiting for a 3-day crop to mature. See what you think.

Yeah, I do that, too. I also have a separate quest farm for trees and flowers that I only harvest when needed. I just check the maximum number I would need for any product and plant that many, though keeping the farm fertilized doubles the output so I actually have twice what I need. I also rotate my animal house collections so I'm never more than a few hours from collecting on those.
