Further, the update button you mention has disappeared and it simply reads:
"To finish linking your email to your account click the link in the verification email we sent you."
So I can't change it, or even reenter the same one. Of course we're dealing with an 83yro person whom having them make a brand new email from another provider is just asking for trouble in all sorts of ways.
