Hi Dutch,
I am not sure if that will work or not. The only information we have is that you can't place them in storage or try to move them if they are 1 of the 4 contest facilities as that will remove you from the contest. I am sure that the previous player had not filled them when he tried to move them to a different farm, so I would say that it would cause you to be removed from the contest for the current week.
