The problem they are probably trying to prevent, is runaway experience.

They already have it, with the x16 and x25 tools being used on other peoples farms, especially the Combo tool.

Can you imagine 10 farms of 1 hour raspberries, on a combo tool?

When a tool changes how I have to plant my crops and water my flowers it is not FC well spent to me. I'm glad you're happy with it but from all the posts here it sounds like you are in a very small minority.

I am probably just as old (or close) as you are. When I purchase anything IRL I expect it to be as advertised and I also expect a store to make good on it when it isn't so. Saying this is new technology is stretching it a bit. It is just a stupid tool in a game which happens to cost real money and not "virtual money." I can understand why people are upset, even if it is just a game.

And, the forums are the avenue for the players to communicate back to Slashkey and the developers on our thoughts and desires for the games. They clearly read the posts, and we all can and should express our opinions on what is working in the game and what isn't meeting our expectations. They have to give the players what the players want, in order to keep them spending money, and you are so right, it is "real money".

I love how we can speed up the crops but I really like to water flowers when they need it and not speed up a crop that I do not plan on staying up all night to harvest. betweeen facebook taking away game stories and posting everything we are doing im getting lost confused and depressed over all this.
There has been a change in what the red sprinkler does. When it came out if you planted a 4 hours crop and used the red sprinkler to speed it up right after you planted it would be ready in 2 hours and go to waste 4 hours after that for a total time of 6 hours. Now the time to go to waste has been extended to where it would be if you didn't speed up growth. If you plant a 4 hour crop it takes 4 hours to grow and you have 4 more hours to harvest the crop before it goes to waste. This is a total of 8 hours from the time you planted the crop and it went to waste. If you use the red sprinkler on the 4 hours crop right after planting the crop your corp will be ready to harvest in 2 hours and it will go to waste 6 hours after that. This gives you a total of 8 hours to get the crop after you plant it. It doesn't matter if you speed up growth you still have the same amount of time to get the crop as you would if you had not speed up the growth.

How does the combo tool give you more xps? You get the same amount of xp as you would if you used separate tools. While it may let you do the work a little quicker it doesn't really make that big a difference that people are running away with xps because of the combine.

Agreed... It took me a couple of plantings to figure out what it could do for me.... and yes, the release had its usually shortcomings/confusion in its lack of detail.

For developers who can code a herd of Clydes to all be in perpetual motion, you would think that they could have better information, and some degree of communication for the ones who "employ them" -- the players.

i love, love, love the red sprinkler! oh and did i say i love the red sprinkler?

it is really so easy to manage your crops with it. everyone is worrying and fussing over messing up their time schedule, or griping because you cannot continuously plant 4 hr crops and get the benefit.

well, you just have to throw your old calculations out the window and begin anew and calculate the half time in with it to get the benefits of this sprinkler.

i spent a day planting the hr crops, i watered my flowers, cutting the harvest time in half, i planted 4 hr crops twice, and did not water them. i then planted an 8 hr crop, watered them, and harvested them in 4 hrs. then planted my 12 hr crops and they were ready yesterday morning.

i had my morning coffee while i harvested the crops, flowers still had a bit of time left on them.

i then spent the day, literally all day out running errands. get home, cook supper, spend a bit of time with the family.

ok, time to harvest flowers, water them. now they are set for 2 days. wow, i have harvested flowers 2 days sooner than i would have.

hmmm....now what to do with my crops? while i think on that, i get all my fishing and tree shaking done.

so, since i will be out and busy again tomorrow, i went for 2 day crops. got all farms with crops on them planted with 2 day crops and watered.

now when i have time tonight, i will sit and harvest them. the 20 or 24 hrs will be up, not sure which one at this point, but i know it will be 24 hrs since i watered them, because i know what time i planted last night.

so i will be pretty good on my stock for 4, 8, 12 and 2 day crops. tomorrow being saturday, i will get some 1 day crops, then i will work on the 3 and 4 day crops going into the beginning of next week.

i don't know about you guys, but in approx 1 week, i will have harvested more crops than i ever have in that time frame.

so......

i love, love, love the red sprinkler, it is the best tool the devs have come up with, the second best would have to be the ones that gives us the start all buttons.

I don't agree. I believe that if they could speed up harvest times, there would be less of a need for additional farms and limit the need to layer farms for players to keep the products in inventory to keep the facilities full.

A player can plow a field and delete a field twice for the same XP's in far shorter amount of time than planting and waiting for raspberries to grow, if they are only after XP's. They could sit in the MP and get hired over and over in 1 hour and earn farm more XP's. I sat in the MP for 45 minutes this evening, didn't beg for work, and had 8 hires, two of which were multiple farm/multiple actions, all solo. I have no idea what I earned, since I'm at level 260, but I'm sure that I earned farm more than 1024 XP's.

As I posted earlier, the release notes are contradictory, in my opinion. If this is how they intended, it provides far less benefit than the manure spreader which cost the same FC. I would only value this tool at half the FC price.
