IMHO the lifeline does not make the quests less of a challenge it just makes them possible for the occasion when folks do not have that particular facility and there is no guarantee which lifeline you get.

On my hubby's farm, he has to order chicken and ham, but with no truck and no chance of getting one soon [no $], how can he order it, I checked on the 'lifeline' but it said to go to the marketplace to buy it from someone there, but there is no way to buy something you order from the truck on it there!
What can be done?

Unfortunately nothing can be done in that case. A trade lifeline can only be used for buying in the market and you can't buy those items. Only thing he can do is let it expire.

The only way I can think of is if you get a "gift" lifeline and request ingredients - havent tried that one yet so not sure if it works.

Your hubby won't be able to do that quest.... unfortunately.


If you have already selected the lifeline you cannot get another for that quest (or any other quest till the quest with the lifeline is done or expired). And you can't choose which lifeline you want.

The one for gift is easy.....just go to that facility that makes the final product of your request and post for ingredients for that item. When your friends send the ingredients....you just store them from your gift box and you'll have it all when you go into the quest. You can do the last step of the quest. Nice....you don't have to plant anything!!!
