The prices for the expansions are astronomical. I will never pay that amount. All of my friends have quit playing farmtown and I am seriously thinking about doing the same. I love the game but you all are putting it out of reach.

but.... If a player feels the need/want to expand to the new level of, say, 42x42, it is most likely because they have many, many facilities and crops and "need" more room to continue their growth. If they have that great number of facilities etc, they are able to make a few billion each week..... or much more. Thus the cost of expansion is NOT so great for them. I also think that some players quit Farm Town because they have either moved on to different types of games, or perhaps they get bummed at not being able to do what others do. The first reason, I can understand. The second reason is just a misconception of what the game really offers (IMHO), which is the ability to play at your own level, and in your own way. .

You seem to have been playing FT for a long time, like me and many others. I have played for the simple enjoyment and relaxation it provides. I was never one to want to achieve the largest operation in the shortest time, but have now reached a point where all those facilities and farm expansions are generating a billion or so every week. I still have a long way to go to catch up to the big guys, but that's not my goal. I like FT and always look forward to the new releases. Hope you do too.
