HTML5/WebGL: Game Not loading or frequent crashes

This is my laptop specs......I have spoke with Apple and they are saying its possible that I cannot get this game to load no matter what browser I try due to my M1 processor, do you know if this is an issue, is there anyone there that can help me with this?

MacBook Air (M1,2020)

Memory 8 GB

Hi Sunnyray,
Unfortunately none of the developers or moderators use any Mac computers, so we would not be able to tell you whther that processor will work or not.

Look in the FT Console below your farms and copy and paste here the first 8 to 10 lines in a post. So we can look at that information.

Hi Sunnyray,
Did Apple say if the IOS could be updated? You have version 11.2 and they are up to version 14. I am not sure that 11.2 will work.

You can try the items in the announcement at the top of any of the forum sections and there are steps you can check in the first post of this thread to try also.


We have had reports that Mac users have been able to get into the game using Opera browser.

my laptop is at the current version on the iOS, it did an update 2 days ago, so I just once again checked it, it is at the very latest update, shouldn't be an issue

It may be the latest update for that processor, but it is not the latest for Apple IOS. And that may be why Apple told you that you may not be able to play.
Please try the items I asked you to in my previous post and also try Opera and see if it will load.

I have been doing all of those things, over and over and over and over, I guess I may have to just quit farmtown......I hate to even think of the actual amount of cash I have spent on this game for the last 10 years.....considering I have played it under the new html5 on my beastly old computer......this switch is not looking good for me since my old computer can no longer be updated but yet it plays the game, this reasoning makes zero sense!

I am sorry, but there isn't anything we can do to fix this. You can still play on the older computer as it apparently is at least able to do the HTML/WebGL.

Did you try the Opera browser on your Mac to see if that browser would work?

What do you get to in the loading on your Mac? What is the last Checkpoint number you see in the FT Console?

I have tried opera, firefox (which has made it the farthest in the process), chrome and safari, currently it is at checkpoint-B-000
