It does not appear to be fixed. I was working as a super neighbor and noticed a train boost. It had been there less than a minute and I received a notice that it had expired when I tried to boost the train.

The issue we had was when you were for example working as superneighbor and you sent trains boosts requests to your friends.
It was not when you boosted a train from one of your friends.

But if you want to be sure, try to contact your friend and told them about the expired train. Maybe they had sent more boosts thant the ones allowed.
