Everything else would be working because they use different paths (links) from your internet service provider out to their websites.

I am getting connection errors with FT and loading is very slow. Not sure what the problem is. I know what it isn't, and that is my internet speed. I am also getting "Ooops!! The mayor has already helped you with those facilities today" error messages. Very frustrating! Hope they fix it soon!

Hi MsJennie,
All you can see of your internet is to your internet provider. Your speed between you and your service provider does not govern what speed your data arrives and returns from the game servers. This is not a problem with the game servers themselves.
For your game data to get back and forth between you and the servers that data has to go through many links in between. You do not connect to the servers directly from your internet service provider. Any one of those links having problems can cause the game to run slow due to high traffic in that link or can be down completely and you will not be able to tell where it is happening.
Slashkey does not own, monitor or control any of those links. The only thing you can do is wait for whoever owns the link that is causing your problem can get it fixed soon.

The game is suddenly very slow and freezes all the time, especially when navigating between farms.

I have done all the troubleshooting and cleared all the caches, no other programs running or tabs open, used a different browser, and restarted. And it's NOT my internet.

I see other people are also complaining and it cannot be all our internets.

I hope the moderators and devs will take us seriously and at very least investigate what the issue could be rather than just giving us the usual cookie cutter response.

What you see in this thread is spread over years and no others at this time.
First you need to understand that your internet connection to your service provider can be just fine with no problems. However, your game data has to go through many links in between you and the game servers. Any one of those links can be have excessive traffic or have a problem that can slow down the transfer to and from the servers for you which can cause you game to be slow and freeze a lot.
Slashkey does not own, control or monitor those links between you and the servers, so the only thing you can do is wait and hope that whoever owns those links realizes they have a problem and can get it back to normal. You may not have anything else slow only because your path to those other locations are different after the signal leaves your service provider. I am sorry but there is nothing we or the developers can do to help with this.

I contacted my internet service provider. They say there are no "broken links". Also April and May 2025 is not "over several years". Very well. I shall simply not spend any money on the game until it comes right - whoever's fault it may be.

Hi Poppy,
Even those in April and May are past, have been resolved and not current posts.
Your ISP does not have any way to monitor all the links your data goes through between you and the servers. They can only see the links between you to them to the next link. There are many links between them and the servers. It is not a direct connection between your service provider and the servers. We have no way to monitor all of those either and no control over those.


I assure you there is nothing wrong with the servers themselves as they are up and operational.


I have visited your farms and you do have them heavily layered and that can cause slowdowns in your operations specially when moving between farms.
Please check the suggestions in the first post of this thread.

Despite what the MODS are stating, the game IS running slow or not loading at all. I complained last night and was given standard troubleshooting advice. I've worked in IT and database development for over 15 years so I run the standard troubleshooting advice before I bother contacting anyone. This morning, I have had to wait over 5 minutes for some of my farms to load. It is not my computer, and with so many people (in the game not loading and game running slow threads) making complaints that they are having problems with the game not loading, game hanging up when loading, or the game running slow it can't be that so many people are having internet problems at the same time since I'm sure that we are all using different internet service providers and the connections are taking different routes to the slashkey server. I just wish that the mods and developers would take our issues seriously rather than just blowing them off like so many other issues people are experiencing in the game. As an example, it took me several minutes to compose this message and I was attempting to load one of my farms before starting this, and it has just now, after 5 minutes of waiting, loaded. It is like I have gone back to the dial up modem days with all the delays I am experiencing. And no, none of the other websites or games I play are having issues with loading.

Update: Switching from farm to farm either takes a few seconds or 4 to 5 minutes. On my last switch from one farm to another, it took 4 minutes and I also got the following error messages which I normally don't get.

I have loaded every one of your farms and the only ones that took more than 5 seconds were the ones with lots of facilities or decorations which requires them to each be loaded. So it cannot be the servers your farms are on.
It can be internet and even though everyone is using different paths it can still be a link or links that are having heavy traffic or server problems of which we have no control or way to check those. I also worked in IT for 30 years and still keep up with it evn though I am retired.

Please help. The game has slowed to a crawl and frozen. I have had to reload MANY times. It started yesterday evening. I have tried three browsers and cleared the games and my computer cache. I had to tell the two players I SN for to here out this morning due to this. I can't even work my own farm with out needing to reload. 100006010477901
