Best Farm 8th September - 30th September 2015

For this months competition, we are "stepping away" from the more regular themes, once again. To celebrate the new Freight Cars, recently released by Raul and the Developers, we are going to focus this months competition on the "Trains" themselves - both decorative trains and freight trains.

Please be sure to read the rules, in full, and ensure that your farm meets the relevant guidelines.

PRIZES

The prizes are split into two categories (Novice and Advanced). This is to accommodate members of all levels and abilities. We appreciate that for some members, the competitions can seem a little overwhelming, and that you may not feel confident enough to enter. We have put the design forum in place, in order to give those of you who struggle with design, a "starting place" and an area to learn, and hopefully to then go forward and show us your work by entering your farms into the competitions. Therefore, the prizes this month are as follows:

NOVICE

1st Prize - 120 Farm Cash
2nd Prize - 75 Farm Cash
3rd Prize - 50 Farm Cash

ADVANCED

1st Prize - 120 Farm Cash
2nd Prize - 75 Farm Cash
3rd Prize - 50 Farm Cash

The competition will commence on September 8th at Midnight, and will close at the end of the day on September 30th at Midnight. The winners will be announced within a few days of the closing, depending on how many entries there are, as every entry has to be checked.

Note: ALL times are in GMT

To help clarify, please read the following:

• Your farm MUST include at least ONE train. The train CAN be Decorative or you can use your "Freight Train".
• You can have more than one train, and your train can have one car attached, or multiple cars attached.
• You can use any item from the store or gifts.
• You CAN submit a "picture farm" or a more traditional farm, but please remember, that the train, does HAVE to be one of the "store bought" trains and not a train created by yourself.
• Your farm can be any size.
• You are free to design your farm in whichever way you choose, but please keep in mind that while tricks and illusions can be amazing, it does not necessarily follow that they give the best feeling of what we are looking for.
• Items can be overhanging the farm boundary, but also keep in mind that this can be very unattractive and could actually prove to be detrimental to your entry.

Please Note: Once your farm has been entered, you cannot add/remove any items whatsoever, and you should not attempt to edit your original post and replace your photo. Any entries, found to have been replaced, will unfortunately have to be disqualified.

As with all competitions, there has to be a few rules. The rules for this competition are as follows:

• You have to be a member of the Forum.
• Since the introduction of the Cooperative Design, we have to insist that your farm is your OWN work. It cannot be the work of your Super Neighbour. We are able to verify this, through certain avenues, and every entry will go through this verification process, in order to prevent this happening. This is to make things fair for everyone.
• The farm has to be your own farm, and not the farm of a friend etc.
• All farms must remain decorated until after the results have been announced and shall be verified for entry via our Independent Adjudicator.
• You must supply the following information: The link to your farm. A photo of the farm that you wish to enter. The name that you have given that farm, along with the farm number
• You may enter only one farm.
• Once you have entered your farm in to the competition, you may not EDIT your entry in any way shape or form. Your farm MUST look exactly the same as when the competition closes as it did when you entered it.
• Judges do visit your farms, so you need to be sure that your photo, is an exact replica of your farm. You cannot "hide" items, in order to take a photo, showing just the remaining items. If the judges visit your farm, and there are items on your farm, that do not show in your photo, then unfortunately, your entry will have to be disqualified.
• You will be able to harvest any crops, trees etc. Crops must be in place at the close of the competition, and can be any crop, but they either must be growing or fully grown and not wasted. Tree's can be chopped and harvested, but again, please ensure that the tree's that you have chopped, are at full growth, when the competition closes. If your tree's are chopped at the time of the judges visit, then this could prove detrimental to your entry. The same goes for flowers. You can harvest them, as and when you wish, but they will need to be at full growth, by the time the competition closes
• If there is a release after you enter you are not allowed to make additions to your entry, so please be sure you are done. If any farm or entry has been modified, you will be disqualified.
• The judging panel and adjudicators decision is final

PLEASE NOTE: When taking a photo of your farm, you must use the "small" setting. The "medium" and "large" settings are too big for the forum. If you should post a photo, of the wrong size, then unfortunately your entry will have to be deleted and you will be asked to re-submit your entry again, using the correct size.

Entries found to have come from second accounts and/or a second forum account will be disqualified. We are able to verify this, through certain avenues, and every entry will go through this verification process, in order to prevent multiple entries, by one person. This is to make things fair for everyone

Finally, Please REMEMBER! We are asking you to design a farm and not to search through your existing farms, in order to find one that you think you can "make do" with and enter.
