But then again, he's got years and years ahead of him, unlike some of us!
By the time he grows up enough to play FT, he may have to take over the FTAA...

Lightbulb Are we there yet?

Whenever I get "quiet" (won't say bored because I could never get bored with this game) I pull down a farm, empty it and rebuild it. I think I might pull down my trees on Farm 1 (full farm of them) move them to another and put facilities where they were. Yes... there's an idea. Farms 1, 2 and 3 will be for facilities and cities. 4 and 5 for flowers and trees (each to their own farm). Farms 6 onwards for cropping and having fun with and then I can also use one of them for the monthly FT contests. Hmmm I will make farm 6 for the FT contest.

See...no problem!! I'm off to do some serious destruction. Hmmm first I better post my facilities and then some more planning which will require a cup of tea and some peace and quiet and then...

Sorry I haven't got time to sit and watch for the update now cause I'm going to be too busy on my farms.

I plan on re-doing my 2 tree farms but every time I spend days re doing a tree farm the next release has a new product that requires something from a tree we don't currently use. I have done the work of planing what trees will be on what farm and how many of each tree I will need to give me enough product to max out the facilities 3 times a week, but I am not planting them until after the next release. That way if they add a product that needs a tree not currently in use I can factor that into my plan for the tree farms before I plant them.

I completely agree, just remember when we started playing this game, I have been playing since april 2009 and it was months and months between upgrades, not sure how long i played with only one farm...

the devs have definitely spoiled us rotten by starting to give us upgrades every month and I would never stop playing the game just because it's taking time, who knows maybe as one person wrote they are trying to implement the use /rewards for the diversification thingy and have run into some issues... anyway.. the saying is he who waits for something nice....

as it is with the numbers of players... I would imagine a lot of developers are experiencing similar losses of players, just look at Zynga, they seem to come out with games all the time to keep people hooked, at least slashkey stays true to FT.

I play 3 more games that I do try to visit once a day but I don't spend any of my own money on those game.. this is the game I love.

enough said of that... now where is my 11th farm??? lol....

When people have reached the top level in a game and there is weeks or months between anything new being put in the game they get bored and move on. People get sick of doing the same thing over and over again that is why all games on fb are always adding new stuff to the game. As far as the developers not caring about people leaving the game, people leaving takes money out of their pockets so they better care. You say that there are others that will take our place if we leave that is not true. At the height of the game there was about 20 million people playing the game, now there is only 1.5 million people playing the game people are leaving and no one else is taking their place. The developers can't afford to lose vary many more players and keep the game running. People buying farm cash puts money into the developers pockets. For every facebook credit people spend on farm cash the developers get 7 cents and that doesn't include the money they get from the ads. The games on fb make the developers a lot of money, I don't know if it is their bread and butter but I would bet it is. The game is not free for the people that have paid money to play the game and people can say what they want but to play this game to the fullest you have to spend money on the game or do offers to get the fc. The so called free part of the game is getting more and more restricted because of the coin facilities that need something from a cash facility and the high price of land. The only people that are making billions of coins are the ones that have all the facilities the ones that only have the coin facilities are not making as many coins. This is a business for the developers not a game if you want to keep your customers happy you do two things keep them informed on what is going on and give them what they want in a timely manner. While the updates usually happen in a timely manner the developers have missed the mark big time on the communication part of the business.
Absolutely awesomely put! and in a much more diplomatic way than some of us couldve said! I on the other hand, will bite my tongue and not respond to the thread that inspired this response from JAS!

When I first started reading the last 'few' new pages since last I stopped in, it felt like it had come full circle...lots of repetition, and questions that have been asked and answered at least once or twice in the amazing number of posts in this thread. Then a few got almost hostile about things which amazed me. I thought the majority of us, were "complaining/whining/begging/threatening'" or whatever you want to call it, in FUN? Maybe I truly misread most of you, but I took most of this as bantering, or teasing...just to pass the time, and socialize some. The jokes have been funny, and some of the comments hilarious...telling us to relax and have fun...well, I thought that was what we were doing? I mean sure we wandered a bit, as Tony told us a few times, but after a couple thousand posts, that would be almost impossible not to do. The vacuum thing was perhaps the most off topic, but not intrusively so, or at least not to me. I don't know...I want farm 11, as much as anyone else, but I am not really stressing out over it; and the sleep deprivation, tho' real, is caused by my son staying up till 3 or 4 in the am, and having to get up early. Maybe my sense of humor is not the same as everyone else's, but I really don't think I misread most of you. (and I am sure someone will let me know if I have...lol)

So, anyway...how are the mayor and Dave doing? and is James ready for the rush? I have a bottle of champagne I could donate to the barroom....lol
