upgraded the RAM several months ago (specifically for this game) and the tech who did the work said "you really don't need that much you know". I use Firefox most of the time and always clear caches and macromedia.

I work around it by using facility manager to empty the buildings and the old-fashioned way to load them.

any bets on what this next update will include? About this time of the month (when we figure an update is coming), I like to try & guess what Raul and the devs have in store for us.

this time my bet is (among other things) ... NEW CROPS ... we haven't had any of those in quite awhile. And I'd really like to see the 5x5 SEEDER too.

emptying them doesn't work unless the graphic of each building is displayed (and it disappears after working on one place so I have to wait until they all load again to do the next one). Going farm-to-farm works quickly but I have over 70 facilities so I was happy when the facility manager came out.

fyi - this isn't something new happening ... has been working that way from the start for me.
What is the level of storage that you have set for the macromedia files? This should be at least 100KB, but 1 - 10MB would be better. This is the file all the images are stored in.

I like it for clearing out products that are done, but it takes forever to use it to load up facilities because it times out or slows everything up (won't work until the picture of each place reloads and sometimes that takes a long time). So ... I only use it for half the intended purpose. Still go farm by farm and facility by facility to load them.
You didn't say what browser you are using.

I use firefox a lot and it does the same thing.

If I remember to do the facilities using IE I do not have this problem.

Go figure.

thanks for more hints ... I've had the setting at 100KB but when I clear them, it's rarely more than a few KB to clear. I changed that setting to 1MB but doubt that will do anything since it's not even getting to the 100KB.

not sure I understand why this happens, but I do appreciate your ideas.

i had been using Firefox for years, but for FT i use google chrome. It is much faster and very easy to use. Only rarely a timeout. Give it a try. I still use Firefox forr other things. I have chrome's homepage as Facebook. After using it always has my id and password already there.

Tools - Options - Advanced - Network - Clear cache. Also, I have automatic setting in that Options box to clear the cache daily.

thanks
