I never had this problem with Farm Town when it used Flash; but since the change to HTML 5, it has started happening. The problem is the game freezing up when I click to exit full screen mode. The freeze-up is so complete, that there's no escape except to reboot my laptop by pressing the Power button. I have been dealing with this incredibly annoying problem in other Facebook games that also migrated to HTML 5 - so I'm convinced now that the cause is HTML 5. However, it's also possible that Google Chrome isn't completely compatible with HTML 5 games and Windows 10 computers. So I'm wondering if others have reported this freeze-up problem when clicking to exit full screen mode in Farm Town?

Hi Caron Katsmom,
I moved your post to the HTML issues thread. If you are getting this in multiple games then it may not be HTML WebGL, but an issue with your Chrome or computer using those. As far as I remember we have not had any reports of freezing when closing full screen. Other times but not that.
There are some new things to try in the first post of this thread that the developers have added which is why I moved your post here and not the Game Migration Updates thread.

LOL, Taz... You moved my post so fast that I thought I forgot to click "post"! Okay, then I'm the first to report this issue. The possibility that my laptop is old and needs to be replaced is not something I want to believe -- so I'm going to continue to blame HTML 5 and Windows 10.

Hi Caren,
I can't stop you doing that, but look at the things in the first post anyway so you will know for sure. Unfortunately when you move forward to newer programming languages the older equipment is no longer workable. I had to buy a new IPad...:P

I did check the first post. My laptop supports both Web GL 1 and 2. The game loads and runs just fine for me. But it has a melt-down many times, when I exit full screen mode. Not every time, but often enough. I've tried all three exit modes -- the Farm Town icon for full screen mode... the X on the top of the screen, from Chrome... and my laptop's Escape button. All three have resulted in the frozen computer... sometimes. I Googled the problem and found a lot about this issue on Windows 10 computers, but not specifically about HTML 5. I learned a new work-around, which I tried when my laptop froze up: the Windows key + Tab, to create a new Desktop. It won't work for me when a game freezes up. So I continue to reboot my laptop with the Power button, because I'm so addicted to these games.

Sometimes when I hover over an item it brings up the tool tip but doesn't put the yellow outline around the item. If I then click with the hand it leaves the item in place and gives me a copy which I can place. If I reload the farm the copy is gone and the original is still there. If I see the yellow outline it moves normally. When harvesting with the boat it sometimes reaches a group of water items that do not highlight and won't harvest. Dragging the screen seems to let it select the items. When harvesting a set of overlapped sea coasts with the boat I seem to be able to do 2 or 4 groups of items (i.e. 8 or 16 coasts) before having to move the farm to let me do the next 2 or 4 groups. Low priority bug but a bit annoying.
Farm 22, top left edge, User ID: 1278858024
This seems to have been fixed now. Coasts appear to be being selected normally. Thanks!

Sounds like the symptoms of Windows being a bit short of memory. 8Gb is about the minimum for Windows10 which I find to be a bit hungrier than Windows 7 was. Check also that you have a reasonable amount of free space on your disk so Windows has room to dump stuff it is not using out of memory temporarily. Deleting unused files and clearing temporary storage can make a significant difference. Most Laptops won't be able to have extra memory added to them but some can.
