IGNORE vs. REPORT ABUSE - what is the difference ?

When you click on a farmer's avatar, you have the choice to 'ignore' or to 'report abuse'. Ignore can be used any time. Report abuse is to be used for offensive language ONLY and not for other annoying behavior. If it is not offensive language (like cursing), then click 'ignore'.

Both functions report the farmer to the developers.

Both functions will add that farmer to your blocked list.

The ignore button does not affect harvesting

The ignore button and the report abuse buttons do not affect harvesting. If you sent a hire request to a farmer, that gives them the ability to harvest at your farm. Clicking them and ignore does not affect that and they can still keep harvesting. In fact, they do not even know that they have been "ignored".

By mistake I blocked someone that was a friend

To UNBLOCK someone, click Account in upper right corner of your FarmTown game screen. Then click Blocked Users and unblock the ones you want unblocked.

NOTE: If you block a player in the game, it wll not affect what you see here on the forum. You will also need to block them here if that is your wish. If you block a forum member here, you will no longer see their posts here on the forum.

1. You must click on their avatar and click 'report abuse'.
2. This will send in a report

***Forum moderators have no control over what goes on ingame. Reporting the person here will not be helpful as there is nothing we can do. You must report the person ingame.

For some reason lately when my neighbor & I harvest for each other, sometimes she's invisible... I can see fields being harvested/plowed when I go back to my farm or the chat window opens when she comes to the farm I'm on but I can't see her. I have to back all the way out to Face Book, refresh, sometimes completely close my browser. Sometimes I have to do this several times before I can 'see' her again. She can see me but I can't see her....Neither she nor I are in off-line mode when this happens.... Any ideas/solutions would be appreciated!

Check you haven't accidentally blocked your friend.

Click the account tab on the game screen and look under 'blocked users'. If she's in the list you can unblock her from there.

The only other thing I can suggest is to make sure you clear your browser cache regularly.

Once you've done that, close the browser completely before reloading and going back to your farm

Other than that, it might just be a server issue - it sometimes happens after updates that different servers don't 'communicate' properly for a while.

I have a person harassing me via mail in Farmtown. He is not my buddy, nor my neighbor. He clicked on me at the market place and has been sending me nasty angry e-mails ever sense.

I see no way to report him.

Can someone please help me get rid of this guy? Otherwise, I am considering removing the application which would be a shame.

You can click on his avatar when you see him and report him, but unfortunately, there is no way to block them from sending you messages.

Do not reply to him. The mail box will only hold the last 10 messages you have gotten the other go off to never never land, so once he gets 10 messages any you have sent him will go away and he will not be able to send you any more.

Like Tyler said, click the Report Abuse button.
Also if you bump into anybody you don't like, click their avatar and press the "Ignore [persons name]" button.

I have a friend who shows up as a generic Facebook User blocked in my account. No matter how many times I unblock her, she's right back there blocked. I've done it and rebooted, done it and refreshed, and she always remains on my blocked list. Any suggestions?
