Just to clarify, you don't need to move the seeder either, if you click the seeder whichever farm it's on, choose a seed, and then click the farm you wish to seed on, you can go seed that farm without moving the seeder itself

Really, I did not know that. I've neen using the hand to move the machine I wanted to use to the farm I whished to use it on. This sounds like a quicker method.. Thank you.

Please, please, please let this mean the new Halloween stuff is rolling out! I'm so eager to see it I can hardly stand it! My "Haunts & Ho Ho's" farm needs more spooky stuff! I really hope we get a new haunted house. The old one is ok but Farm Town graphics have improved so much in the past year, I know they could produce a really dynamite haunted house this year! Hurry, Halloween rollout, hurry!

Hi, you dont have to wait for them to finish. I can now do my largest farm (around 800 plots) in under 4 minutes. This is what I do :

Harvest farm , click save, go to the Inn, go home - farm is harvested
Plough Farm ,click save, go to the Inn, go home - Farm is ploughed
Seed Farm, click save, go to the Inn, go home - Farm is seeded

Worth a try ......

clicking save does not immediatly save the game. it takes awhile on the server b4 all the info catches up that needs saved.
If you click to go to another farm or somewhere, the black "loading farm" will sit there and cycle untill the server catches up b4 it takes you there.

I'm using my past experiences in bulldozing as a frame of reference here.
Once a whole farm is bulldozed and you click save - it takes a long time b4 its saved. Trying to go to another farm wont happen untill it finishes catching up on server.

I'll try this out though - the next time i seed something........

Since i almost never use the plow or harvester myself, i only have 1 each.
If some rare occasion comes up ill do that l;ittle trick.

However, I use the seeder every day or so, - so i just bought one for every farm cause its too much hassle to go find it somewhere else.
They dont cost that much to buy, so the seeder and bulldozers are feesable to just buy 6 of..

When you have the last field clicked the seed bag deactivates and the green man highlights. This will let you know if you have all the field seeded. If you still have the seed bag you missed a field.

Incidentally, the new storage seems to be helping a BUNCH. I figured I was getting pretty full (though hadn't received the warning - YAY!), so I went to the Market to sell stuff last night. It was a BREEZE! Didn't take forever like it used to. I could be wrong but I attributed the selling speed to the increased amount of storage we got with this release and wanted to say thanks.

Now . . . about those additional Halloween decorations . . .

Sorry, but i just tested this on both bulldozing and seeding, and it doesnt work the way it was stated.

Although i was able to click save and immediatly go to the inn, i tried clicking the go-home link, and as i suspected, all i got was the
"loading farm" black box that would not take me back to my farm any quicker than waiting for my avatar to finish planting.
I sat in the inn waiting the same amount of time it takes for the dude to finish planting, while watching coins and points popping up over my head.

Let me rephrase that:
While it may work for others, it doesnt ring true for me.
Obviously your pc is beefed up more than mine.
I have 2GB's of ram and highspeed cable - 768Mbs per sec, and a 256 mb video card.

The fact that you can immediatly go to another farm means you wouldnt have had to wait any longer for your dude to finish to begin with, because your pc can transfer data faster than mine.

But the bottom line is no mater what - nothings gonna load till that dudes done and the data is saved.

I have no idea why this does not work for you... i and many of my neighbors doing this as well. and it always works for us.. i do have a pretty good pc but I am on dial up service so I know my server is way slower for me than most people that play this game... and it always saves for me this way.......

I have a 6-7 year old pc with 1 gb ram and a crappy wireless modem and it works fine for me. Have you checked your preference settings to make sure that there is not a tick beside "follow avatar...." and "wait for each plow/plant "?

ahhh your on My Space....... yup i bet that is why....... i did at the urging of a friend of mine.... decide to start playing Farm Town on My Space umm that lasted about 3 days...... till i got ticked off and left...... i loved starting a new game and all...... but ummm no way could i put up with the slowness of their platform... you should really think of playing in Facebook if this is the only thing you use it for......

have you tried clicking on one fuel container you may have in your gift box and clicking on "More" and that will send a request to your FB wall for more fuel gifts?? that helps me .... you can type a personal message too.........it maybe time for you to look into adding some new neighbors too........try clicking on the "EArn coins and Farm Cash" link and add the app of the day to earn some farm cash so you can buy the oil refinery........ I had a hard time with fuel until I got that...... i actually did a car insurance quote do get the Farm Cash... I got a phone call in like 30 seconds too from the insurance company so be aware of that.....I use a junk email account too....

there is a way to buy fuel you will just need to purchase the refinery with farmcash... with that said it is the greatest investment when it comes to farmcash purchases i think. i dont even use my fuel all the time for refueling i make so much i sell some and use some i usualy refuel at over 100,000 fuel

I have been experiencing a lot of mainframe time outs lately and generally poor performance. I have done all the stuff listed in the notes about clearing cache and all that. It is getting difficult to play the game with all the freezes then mainframe drops. Selling stuff in the market is taking for ever. I even go offline as suggested in one of the forums. I have asked other players if they are having similar issues and they are. Is there something going on?

Also I have been trying to get a mail message that has been stuck in my mailbox for months fixed. My mail does not work correctly now as I can only view incoming mail one time so I am unable to refer back to notes. How can I get that fixed?

I really love the game but with all the reloads and freezes it is getting hard to play.

I got the facility for the sauce, and so far I used it twice for sauce and nothing else (I am not on the list of those who have to have every product).

I have TONS of sauce from just a few tomatoes. If I had a -10 button in the inventory, that would allow me to get rid of some of the sauce before it goes bad.

One of the reasons I despise farm ville is this very thing. Stuff popping up from the farm as you are trying to plow or harvest-slowing everything down even more then it already is and causing one glitch after another. Please don't do this to Farm Town or I'll have to dump this game too and I so do not want to do that.

We just released a new version of the game with the following features and bug fixes. Some bug fixes were already launched last week.

1. 3x3 Harvester (Coins): harvest 9 fields at a time.

2. 3x3 Seeder (Coins): plant 9 fields at a time.

3. 3x3 Plower - no fuel required (Coins): plow 9 fields at a time.

Moderator edit: The large and small harvesters are now called harvester 1x1 and 2x2. Same for the seeders and plowers. So if they appear to be missing, double check where they would now be in storage...just different spot with the name change :)

4. Storage capacity expanded by 25%.

5. 10 new items added to the Send Gift page: Tomatoes, potatoes, sausage pack and flower pots.

6. 1 iron gate and 6 new flower hedges added to the Fences category in the Store.

7. Last year's Halloween items are back on the Store and at the bottom of the Send Gift page, new items coming soon.

Moderator edit: Just as a reminder, there are a few items scattered under other tabs at the store. There are cauldrons and the Farm Town pumpkin under the "other" tab, and the black scary farm house is under the buildings tab.

8. Open-Pit Mine (Coins): Allows you to produce minerals and rocks that are extracted close to the earth surface:

12. When you are farming using a tool, if you have other tools in your farm you can click on them to start using that other tool without having to click the green walk icon.

there is a way to buy fuel you will just need to purchase the refinery with farmcash... with that said it is the greatest investment when it comes to farmcash purchases i think. i dont even use my fuel all the time for refueling i make so much i sell some and use some i usualy refuel at over 100,000 fuelYa I got over 1m fuel when I refueled and I am currently sitting on 950k of that.

PROBLEM: I'm glad that Halloween items can be gifted, but I am not able to exchange any other gifts for the Halloween items. On purpose, or a glitch? :confused:

I too cannot find the Halloween items in the gift exchange list. It is not an issue of asking for ... supposed to be able to exchange say a sugar for one of the giftable Halloween items but they are not in the exchange list.

I love trains. but there needs to be a purpose for the trains - not just as decorations.
also maybe have different types of railroad cars for different tasks.

I need 100 cows, 300 geese, 300 turkeys,200 goats and around 1000 trees and I get around 8 gifts a day. A better way to get those could be to buy the right train car.

YEA! it could be used for many things, including buying gift items for coins instead of having them gifted!!!!!
A train station could be bought as a facility to have on each farm just have 1 built into the toolbar.
When we buy gift items for coins they can be put in the station.
or the station we ordered it for for each farm

I've been basically out of the game for a while (real workd, you know) and came back to see that there are several new facilities including two new restaurants. Nice, but why a separate breakfast and dinner restaurant? Yes, I know, one is FT Cash and this approach helps generate income for the developers which I have no problem with. But wouldn't it make more sense to just add one restaurant that "serves" breakfasts, dinners (and items) and make it FT Cash, maybe a fairly expensive item? This would be more realistic in concept and save us space on our layouts.
Okay, I know, the solution is "just don't get the restaurants" and I probably won't. Guess I'll just give up on my little country eatery idea -- not gonna happen.
Oh, and one more comment on the new restaurants. Kudos on the design of the breakfast one. Klunkers on the dinner one -- looks like a hokey faux frontier design from a western movie set.

Thanks for the new Halloween decorations - love 'em!! :) One tiny request, don't know if your working on it, or have even considered the thought - could we have a layer of snow (covers the whole farm or even half the farm?) or how about a layer of sand (again to cover the whole farm or even half the farm) ... would love to have those things. Again, enjoy the game so much that I've now talked two of my neighbors to leave the "other" farm game and re-join us at FT having such much more fun and stuff that we spend our 'coins' on. Oh before I forget, could we have something like Santa's workshop (use our wood in it to make toys) or Santa's house - a spectacular home and hopefully let them cost coins since I know some people playing are on fixed incomes during this rough financial period we are in. I personally try to save my extra pennies to buy FT cash and work on "surveys" in between releases. Again thanks so much for everything!! :)

I have a farm that will never be finished because a number of tiny boulders keep disappearing. It is a farm 3. Has anyone had problems with things disappearing on more than one farm? This is the only one that is a problem. Funny.

I bought a piece of fence yesterday, moved it and suddenly had two pieces of fence without buying. I kept moving more pieces and more appeared. I thought it was a spooky treat from the devs! Then I refreshed and they were all gone!:p

Has anyone found a solution to these disappearing black fences yet ? I've given up replacing them. All cache cleared and macromedia and limit reset to 10MB. This happens on both mine and my partner's farms, different WF servers 41 and 44, but it's always one of the bottom corner fences that goes missing. Our fences are located in different parts of the farms. Here are some screen shots.

Yes more farms PLEASE, I eagerly put FT on every morning (before i make a cuppa) and go to the realtor office, every morning I am sooo dissappointed.

Mountains, trains, tunnels, trestles to go over rivers and roads. Not a decorative train, a working train that we could buy car by car. And track to be purchased piece by piece. Small enough to be able to wind around mountains, lakes, towns.

A farm just for the holidays would be great and a white background for our farms.

I agree. Without being nasty, I really *don't care about decor items much, and would be fine without big old trains taking away from crop space. Please, can't this go to suggestions??? :rolleyes:

I actually got the big barn , but agree it is just sooo huge.... but still i love it.......LOL I have fun decorating for Halloween even though my kids are all grown and gone now..... I still put scare crows in my yard with hay bales and gourds...... it's just fun for me... that's really a fall decoration though.......

the key is to get a stock of them........ don't use them for a few days and build them up and then you will be good..... i only have one milk barn and two chicken coops and never run out.. and i make about 12 mil in the market every day

Though I may not have all the coins required to fully update a new farm I sure want one! Even with fertilized crops I am unable to keep up with what is required for facilities in certain crops such as flour and tomatoes. I rotate crops I can to grow more items but it is getting very frustrating. Please another farm soon!

I love the haunted barn, it looks great w/ the spooky farm house. My only problem w/ it is that it doesn't hide when you hide buildings. People can't harvest/plow w/ it in the way.

My FT messages (inbox) always shows that I have one message. When I click to see it, it won't load. The biggest problem with this is that I can't pull up my old messages (I used to be able to see the last 10 messages).

Is there anything that can be done to clear out this phantom message and free up my FT mail?

I have already cleared my cache as that seems to be the response most favored. It's a no go. Still there.

i dont mind the ideas you quoted. not all farmers are focus on planting a ton of crops..if those items were to come out i would deff. get rid of crop space to use that, then again i enjoy decorating more then constantly having crops// i have a few facilities i keep maxed out to make good money and have the crops for those stockpiled in storage so i never run out and dont need to use all farm maxed out with crops.. everyone plays diferent while you are consintrating on crop space theres a player like me who are not. i think it would be a nice option for those who would use it. if one doesnt want to use it they do not have to

I do use my land in a way that i can have my buildings and crops in a "tasteful" way, have sea coasts and rivers and whatnot, but the idea of a train running around is not my cup of tea and think how much bites its going to take out of your computer and slow things down, besides it would take another program to run.... just thinking about it takes me back when we all started and things ran very slow, it is heaven now and thanks to Raul that we don't have to keep planting raspberries every two hours to be able to level up and be able to buy other things....we have come a long way, lets not mess it up!!

It takes quite a bit of space. You dont have to buy it but some of us would like the option. You are also right, it goes in the suggestions thread.

I have everything hidden and I can still see it and all the other Halloween decorations. But, at least I can plant around the decorations. I have to click on the barn to hide it, people who come to my farm do not have that luxury.

yeah one of the cars could show quantities of each crop so u could see if u needed to plant this that or the other, maybe have items like the semi trailers,and that could hold all of your sprinklers,manure spreaders,etc so we could send em from farm to farm with us ......
