When I am hired and can use the employers tools I don't have to choose. I am automatically given the largest tool available to start with. For example the only combine I have is the green combine so if I am hired and the employer allows use of tools and has the pink combine I am automatically given the pink one to use.

Actually, if you are hired for multiple jobs, all you have to do is click the bonus chest when you are done h/p .... it will automatically give you a pop up that states there are more items, and give you the tool you need.... it saves time! Instead of opening the tool box all the time, just click the bonus chest ! It will hand you whatever tool you need next.

So I just wasted 50 fc on that crappy multiplanter thing!! WHY don't you say it only plants from the store??? I NEVER would have wasted the money on something SO useless!!! What about all the trees already planted--Why can't we put them into storage and re-plant them from there, or what about the stupid trees you can't get except thru gifts---you have to plant them by hand too, it appears. So again, why don't you inform us of the extremely limited and essentially useless things that can be done with this tool??? The multi planter will work with your trees in your storage. Just open up your storage and click on "Multi". It doesn't work with trees in the gift box, but it has been suggested.

I thought I'd looked at the tool usage over on the tool itself--I didn't realize I needed to go into the storage and there would be an option there. Sorry! It would be extremely helpful to be able to use it on the gift box too--hopefully that's in process.

Can someone explain to me why I have to buy a separate plow and harvester each time I want to level up to a new combine? It doesn't make sense to buy something you are not going to use. I'd rather use the money for those to buy facilities that cost money instead of coins.

The only reason is because that is the way the rules are set up by the developers. I don't know about you but when I plow or replow farms the first time I have to use several different size plows to get the whole farm plowed, so I find having all the different size plows available a necessity.

If you want to bring real farming into this the combines you see on real farms do not plow or replant. So in Farm Town's case you need the bigger harvester to combine it with the larger plow and larger seeder to create (buy) the larger combine.

However, a couple of weeks ago, I noticed that my fuel kept dropping - I had about 4,700,000+ gallons at the time. I didn't know why it was dropping, but right away, I stopped letting workers use my fuel when I hired from the Market. Unfortunately, that really hasn't helped. I'm now down to about 3,690,000 gallons even without letting workers use it - just in about 2 weeks time. I've started exchanging my gifts for fuel, but even with that, at this rate, the day will come when I'm totally out - assuming we don't get more farms and/or some other type of boost to fuel production. I've been playing for YEARS and have never had this problem.

The only thing I can think of that I'm doing differently is that I always used to load my facilities & services once each day and let that be it. In the past month or so, I've started topping them off once or twice during the day - not the clients, just the facilities. I think you will find you will be fine with fuel,
You have plenty of fuel tanks in storage, so when you run out and refuel you will have enough for several months.

I need to know why my red manure spreader has disappeared from my tools list. When you buy a larger manure spreader then that one replaces the other one in your toolbox as it can do all that the previous one can do plus the new additional functions. You do not need to use the red manure truck the one you bought after it does the crops as well as more.

I have just checked my mobile lookout in one of my superneighbors farms and it is working ok for me.

He has fields planted but trees and flowers are ready and those farms are showing in blue in the game grid.

After you arrive in your superneighbors farms, do you click in Show Names, then click in Show work info and then close to let the farms turn blue in the farm grid?

It seems like a lot of clicking for a tool that costs so much .... I did not purchase it, but thought about it. I think-for me personallly-I would want it to be pretty instantaneous to justify the cost .... only my opinion.

Yes you can but why? The tools do not take any spaces in your storage, sell for a small amount of coins, and when you get ready to upgrade to the next level you have to own the previous level. Additionally when you go to plow a new farm or replow an existing one you may need those smaller size plows.

I just bought the brown new Turbo Boat, and perhaps I misunderstood what it does, but it seems to be a waste of valuable FC. Perhaps in addition to doing clumps of layered water, it should do a couple of water items that abut each other. That is what I need most of all since my super neighbor and I have a LOT of rivers and water on our farms but not a lot of it is layered. I have more layered spots on a few farms but most of them the boat does not do at once. Most I saw was two water items at once and in spots where it would be helpful it was not.
I'd love to see the new boat not only do the layered waters, but several non-layered as well.

Keep up the good work! The harvesting format makes it so much easier to get densely packed trees to the saw mill. And it hides everything I used to spend lot mouse clicks doing. Now I mow through my fruit trees with confidence that no tree will go unharvested. But, I am running on. Please don't change it! Perfect, it is!:)

Raul said it is a new way of using it. It will harvest all trees that are contained in the yellow border. Think of your farm being broken up in to individual squares that you highlight with the box rather than highlighting the trees themselves.

I noticed we have less control and it does not improve the amount of clicks if we cannot hover the square over the most amount of trees. It does not allow me to position the square over the most amount of trees/. So I had to make two passes over the rows along the edge of the farm to get them done whereas before with the 16 x16 I had far more control over what got harvested with one click. Is there a way to change this so I can position the harvest yellow square over the most amount of trees?

The square with this tool is not meant to be movable. It is based on the land spot and not where the trees are. So on the upper sides it will be exactly on the edge. The different sizes of farms will make the bottom left and right boxes though cover area outside of the farm.
Raul has already said they will come up with a way to switch these tools back to using the old method of highlighting trees if that is the way you want to do it.

What the developers are offering is to have the tool act just like the previous tools as in highlighting the trees or to act as is. Many who have used the new method a few days have found that it is faster than the tree highlightingmethod, because they don't have to try to hget it to highlight a group of trees. Scattered small sections of trees are not going to seem to be as efficient with the new method, but even with those I find it faster. I start in the upper corner and either go aross to the right or down the left side. Then slide it over one row and start back up the next row. I am not looking at the individual trees, but just going through box by box.

My SNB and I both have tools but when I go to his farm, none of the seeders are showing. The other tools of mine show, just not the seeders. On his farm no tools show at all. I have done a memcache and refreshed/loaded the farm many times. How can I get them to show,please?

Please ask him to check if he has allowed you to plant by having a check mark for "Allow Planting". If that option is unchecked then the seeder is not showed up.

Also be sure that all tools are in storage for you both

Mary is not available at the moment. Ask them to make sure they have the box checked in the Edit Super-Neighbor for Allow Planting. If that is not checked then you can not plant anything and the seeder will not show up.

Both farms have the harvesting and planting checked. I have undone them and put them in again but still it does not show the planting tools. The NB can plant on his own farm but no S-NBs. We have tried it with more than one S-NB but the seeders do not show. When I visit his farm with my combines the sow parts don't show either.

The transplanter is made to allow you to move a block of trees or flowers around on the farm. As what you are talking about is being able to layer, I am sorry, but we can not give any instructions on how to do that through the forums.

When you click on one of the tools that has the extent mode, in the bottom right of your game screen you will see a picture of the tool instead of the Eye. Click on it and then click on the top one that says "Highlight"

I have a question , if as stated layering is not endorsed by the developers but despite that new tools to aid this practice of farming have been released, what happens when the layering corrupts farms and is then stopped. It is not supported because it can and has caused problems for some, like corruption of data. This can sometimes be corrected and you can if you choose try it again. If there were ever a point where you felt forced to stop layering you would need to contact support about any refunds and see what they say as they are the ones who deal with those things.

I have no intention of buying these tools as the action of layering is not endorsed and the release of these tools is hypocritical in nature and a risk. Purchasing them would go against what I believe and am not prepared like so many here to take the risk of losing real cash. It was a question I put here in case others were unaware of the risk they are taking.

When you click on one of the tools that has the extent mode, in the bottom right of your game screen you will see a picture of the tool instead of the Eye. Click on it and then click on the top one that says "Highlight"

The new tools are the most useful for working overlapped crops. That yellow box will grab up to 400 fields with one click without having to squint at the tiny plots.

When selecting the one of the new EX Tools instead of the Eye in the bottom right of the game screen you will see the picture of the tool you have clicked on.

When you click on that icon, you will see a vertical toolbar with 3 buttons.

The one in the top (Highlight) selects the old method of highlighting each individual item.
The one in the middle selects the New Method (Extent) of highlighting only the perimeter of the area where the tool will operate. Instead of highlighting all the fields, this new method will just highlight a fixed squared section of the farm which works faster and with less manual mistakes. When you use this method you will briefly see "Extent mode selected" in white lettering near the top of the game screen.

To add to what Tiger said, Raul did post in the section about the new tools specifically:
"Also, when these tools works in extended mode they work on an area of 5x5 fields, but when you disable the extended mode, they will start working on an area of 16x16 fields and will behave in the exact same way as the current crop tools 16x16 that we already have in the game."

Only the developers know whether there will be more and they don't tell us in advance of releasing anything. It does pay to read all of the release information before buying anything. While they may not be a benefit to you they are a benefit to others who either overlap their fields or work for others who do so.
If you are unhappy with the tools you can contact Support to see if they will give you a refund. The decision on a refund is up to them. To contact Support click on the link below, fill out the form and submit it. Be patient as it can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days for them to respond to you depending on how many tickets they have ahead of yours.

The new EX 5X5 tools are a great addition to the game and really speeds things up when working layered/overlapped fields. I also like the ease of switching in and out of Extent Mode, really handy when going between overlapped and non-overlapped fields.

I agree-most of them are excellent! For flowers and trees and water! Fantastic. So I expected an up grade to make harvesting faster as well. I do not layer fields so the tiny size of the 5x5 square only results in far more clicking so I went to highlight mode. Only to find it is exactly the same as the previous 16 x16 for harvesting/plowing etc. I do like the ability to switch from extended to highllight-tho the only place I do that nwo is with the combines since the 5x5 exxtended use is so small. IF my friend and I decide we are very disappointed I just may go to Support, because for the both of us I spent a nice chunk of real $$$ on them expecting an upgrade from the red 16x16. I have been happy about all my purchases over the years--up til now. They wanted to help people who layer yet itis frowned upon. Makes no sense really not to have an improvement for those of us that do not layet. My super neighbor had to give up layering as her computer did not like it at all and she ended up having to get rid of layered plots.

Any way not to make the 5x5 the default tool? Every time I get a non layered job (which are most jobs), I have to go to my tool box and click my 16x16.
Also, when I hire folks they don't realize I have the bigger tools because it defaults to the 5x5.

When you go to a job on a non-layered farm and are handed the new 5x5, you can just change it from Extended mode to highlight mode and it will work exactly the same size as a 16x16 tool. That way you don't have to go to the toolbox to change tools. Those you hire can do the same.

I have no intention of buying these tools as the action of layering is not endorsed and the release of these tools is hypocritical in nature and a risk. Purchasing them would go against what I believe and am not prepared like so many here to take the risk of losing real cash. It was a question I put here in case others were unaware of the risk they are taking.


I don't think you are alone in that.
I am pretty sure the game owners knew that no one, no one needed or would ever bother to buy the 16x16 tools to operate on farms that were conventionally planted. We bought those tools because they sped up our overlapped plots, no other reason. Even a 40x40 farm takes a scant few seconds with a much smaller tool if it is conventionally planted.

They have basically thrown everyone who has played up to now under the bus as far as money spent on what can be assumed to soon be obsolete tools.
I am guessing they think new blood will move in and replace the folks that are angry over it and that money will make up for it.

The game will always pick your largest tool to work. You don't have to swap tools to work a single layer farm. When you have the tool in hand, look bottom right of your game screen for a picture of the tool. Click on it and choose the top icon "Highlight" for working single layer farm and it will work like the 16x16. Choose the one below that "Extent" for working overlapped fields.

one great thing I have found using these new Extent tools is that I no longer have to keep one farm aside for Quest crops, I can put all 1 day crops on one farm, they are in lovely blocks, easy to plant, harvest and plow.. 2 day crops go on a farm that has 2 day trees, 3 day crops on a farm with 3 day trees, same for 4 and 5 day... by staggering planting on other farms and having 2 or 3 farms set out for each day, I always have crops ready.. :) no complaints from me at all!!!

Put the manure collector into your storage. When your pigstys are ready to harvest open your Facility Manger and just click the "Harvest All" button located at the top. That will then send all the manure from all your pigstys to your manure spreader for you.

The light blue tools that say (18x18) in the store or 324 in the tool box are the highest regular tools. The rest above those are the EX tools for the staggered/overlapped crops. All of the tools cost FC.

Tools do not take up your storage space so you shouldn't have lost that. Check your Item storage and see if it is still there. Also look in your tool box and see if it isn't greyed out.
The 3x3 solar plow is a coin tool. You should be able to buy that as long as you have enough coins.

Taz is not available at the moment. I'm wondering if the lack of neighbours has caused the issue here as you have a high enough level and enough coins to buy the tool. You're going to need at least 8 neighbours to be able to sell items from your farm and then later on to get farm 3 you will need 30 neighbours.

Try getting some more neighbours, try 8 to start, and see if that gives you access to that tool.

If it does not you are going to need to contact support about this. To contact them click on the link below, fill out the form and submit it. Please be patient as it can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days for them to respond to you depending on how many tickets they have ahead of yours.

John, I agree that not everyone layers, but there are plenty who do and the developers allow that though at your own risk. A few releases back they released tools for both and many complained that it was too much cost for one release, so since then they have added tools for one or the other, but not both the same release.
StoneFace, yes the developers allow the layering, but that doesn't mean that they like it because it canb tend to over load farms and then you start having problems which we have very little we can do to help, so you do so at your own risk.

You can allow your fuel when you go to marketplace and hire someone for your farms.

When you get the pop up to select the jobs, then you have the option to allow your fuel and your tools, you only need to put the check marks to those options and then click in the green tick. See the picture below

Once you do that, the options will remind that way for your superneighbors too.

Just remember that if your superneighbor has fuel when they start working, then they will first use their fuel and if they run out of fuel then they will be able to use yours.

I don't understand why the farm stats have been changed so they don't refresh for 10-15 minutes. They used to be responsive within a minute or two. Have always used them to see what needs harvesting; but now you have made them virtually worthless unless I refresh the game after each harvest. Please put them back the way they were.

I agree. Use stats to see what i have growing so i can plant crops that i am low on. It used to refresh about every other farm as I was planting. Please make it the way it used to be

The only requirement stated was to start buying the extent tools you must own all the relevant single layer tools up to 16x16. When you upgrade the extent tools you only need the the previous size extent tool to get the bigger size.

It is neither of those. Those increase your Item storage. By the way the orange storage shed only increases by 4 times your basic amount of Item storage.

Just a friendly comment. The totally outrageous cost of harvesting all the egg, milk, wool, etc. is just beyond me. Having to buy multiple tools to do this one thing should not be, especially when you have connected this to the elimination of quest farms being included in farm stats totals, which should be free, by the way. There is no way I'm going to spend almost $200 farm cash to do this one simple thing, especially when some of those items are only harvested once every 2 days - come on, 1 minute, or less, every 2 days and you want ALL that farm cash.....I don't complain alot, and I do appreciate all the developers of this game, but.....

I doubt the developers will do that as what you are asking for is a form of layering. I could be wrong, but that is how I see it.

When you are doing trees and flowers with the multiplanter or the transplanter the trees/flowers are side by side and not overlapping each other. Therefore if you wish to overlap waters, buildings, or decorations then they must be placed one at a time with the green freestyle disigner hand.

Just wondering why those who "cheat" by unsupported layering are getting advanced tools but those of us long-term players who play the game the way the developers intend it to be played are maxed out at 20x tools? When will we get 24x tools which is the next size that offers any benefit over the 20x we have now? And then the next size with any benefit would be 31x? We don't layer so the Extent tools offer zero benefit for us.

The hands dont allow you to layer trees (plants) on top of other items. The green hand doesnt allow you to do that and the purple hand, which is an upgrade of the green one, doesnt allow you to do that either.

An upgraded tool has all the characteristics of the previous one plus some improvements.

The orange bulldozer 4x4 clears 16 items in a 4x4 area, so 16 trees/flowers planted 4x4 or 16 fields plowed 4x4. If your items are spread out it will grab less items. For something like buildings or a facility that takes up more space than a 4x4 area then it will only get the one item. If you would like to make a suggestion on the description for the bulldozers then you need to place that in the Suggestions area of the forum. Here's the link to that area of the forum >>

In addition to the fact that the crop has to be planted before you irrigate which you have realized, you can not irrigate again for 20 hours. That means if you plant a crop that grows in 20 hours or less and irrigate it, then you can not irrigate the next crop you plant there before the 20 hours are up.

I think us farmers have been conned with these new tools. Prior to the release of the flower harvester 36x36 and the tree shaker 36x36 I had both of these but the 32x32. Here is mu complaint. I have wall to wall flowers and trees on two farms that are 46x46. When I use the flower harvester and tree shaker 32x32 it takes 36 mouse clicks to complete the work. When I use the upgraded flower harvester and tree shaker 36x36 it takes the same amount of clicks to finish the work, so it's no quicker. I feel I have been conned out of 100 farm cash. I wish I hadn't bothered to buy these new, upgraded tools.

I moved your post the General Feedback thread about tools since it is not about the current release.
The tools are not created for the number of clicks it takes to do a farm. They are increased by size to be able to harvest more flowers, trees, crops, etc. per click. Not everyone has full sized farms and it will do the slightly smaller farms in less clicks.

No. The crop will stay fertilized the whole growing time. But if you plant another crop after that on the farm then you will need to refertilize as it has expired for the farm.

They start at 5x yes, but that means it will do all the fields within that 5x5 area, which be as much as 400 fields if you have them set up in the staggered 9x method.

The 20x20 tools will do 400 fields too, but in a much larger non-staggered single fields area.
The EX 10x10 will do up to 1600 fields if they are staggered in the 9x pattern within the space of 10x10 normal fields. The regular 10x10 tools will do the normal filed size of 10x10, but that is only 100 fields.

The Ex tools are made to do all fields within a specific area. Where the regular tools are made to do a specific number of individual fields.

If you look at the other EX tools they will do more than the 20x20 regular one. The EX 10x10 will do up to 1600 fields. I doubt they are ready to do an EX 20x20.

I think there should be an "auto harvester & plower" tool for your own multi-fields or if you're harvesting and plowing someone else farm(s) over 40. Same methods apply either farm coins or cash to buy. That would move the process along quicker for everyone.

Only the developers know when or if they will release new tools or the one you are asking for.

Please take in mind that all the work and effort is for getting the game running as before the migration and same features have not been added yet.

I can't use my Yellow Green or orange Gloves to layer my fish ponds .doesn't;t matter what glove I use it wont work. i can move ponds but I cannot overlap. tried all 3 gloves .Help please.it use to work but not now.

If you already have other items placed on the farm, then we cant help as that is a trick and nobody is allowed to post that on the forums.

Is there a way to turn the pop-up off? I really do not need to be told 32 time (number of farms I fertilize) hoe it works and then 3 day later 32 times again.

There are premium/extent tools to harvest/plow sow. There are multi planters to plant multiple trees and flowers. When a Multi Ponder tool be developed/available?:) I'm betting it would be very popular.

DISGUSTED!!! Once AGAIN those who layer get bigger tools and those of us who play as the game in intended (unlayered) get NOTHING. WHEN will WE get bigger tools?!!! We have been stuck with 22x H/P/S tools since April of 2020 almost THREE years while layerers keep getting bigger and bigger tools which are USELESS to those of us who don't layer!!!!!! I can harvest 484 unlayered plots with our 22x. How many FC must I spend to equal that with EX tools?!!! It looks like the EX tool won't come anywhere close to that now at 11x = 121 plots unlayered, 1/4 of my 22x.

The farms get bigger and bigger and we have the same tools we had THREE YEARS ago!!!

We need 28x tools NOW and are still stuck with 22x tools!!! STOP hiving those who layer larger tools and help us out.

I only purchase tools from the FT store therefore no ACD but then they tell me I click to fast and ban me from playing for 6 months. What I would like to know is what the difference is in clicking to fast and your turbo tools clicking all the area they do in 1 click.

I moved your post to the discussion thread about tools.
The difference is every click you do is an individual command to the server that has to be processed separately taking time for the processor to carry out and send back to you the results. That takes away time from the processor that other players can use to perform their actions in the game so they get delayed in their play. If you were to harvest, plow, or plant using the individual single tools at the rate you apparently are doing it would still warn or ban you.The larger turbo tools send one command and all of the functions are done in one process be the server taking less time than your individual clicks.
You apparently have been warned multiple times about how fast you are clicking as well as being banned for shorter time periods to get all the way up to a 6 month banning and have not heeded the warnings. The only way you can avoid this is to slow down in how fast you plant those individual waters, trees, flowers or any other item on your farms.

Trees that are Ready to Harvest cannot be fertilized. They must be fertilized before they are fully ready. Nothing to fix. It is the same with crops.

Fertilization of trees (and probably flowers too) does seem to eventually expire. I have a small planting of each type of tree on my quest farm. I keep the farm fertilized and make sure it is fertilized each time I harvest anything. Crops will stay fertilized until they wither. Trees and flowers don't wither but I'm finding that the fertilization does eventually disappear - I'm guessing that happens about the same time an equivalent timed crop would wither. Since I only harvest the trees when I need them for a quest the fertilizer is hardly ever still there. The only way to keep them fertilized appears to be by harvesting them regularly which kind of defeats the purpose of having them always ready to harvest on the quest farm.

Yes the fertilizing for trees and flowers does expire after about 10 days. The only thing the fertilizer does is give you 2 boxes per tree or flower instead of 1. So if you keep enough of each tree on your quest farm then you can harvest more trees or flowers as needed if they are no longer fertilized. Not being fertilized does not defeat keeping them ready to harvest for your quests. It just means you may have to harvest more trees or flowers than you would have had they been still fertilized.

farm in a single click. (If they have 22 farms, you will have to do it at each

**Reasoning: Some of the very high level farmers have 100's of facilities and 100's of service facilities per farm and that is a lot of clicking. It can get to a degree that it doesn't feel like your playing the game and instead trying to get an annoying pop-up to disappear. For those willing to invest 100 FC to buy both, they would provide a MASSIVE QoL improvement to gameplay.
