I use Firefox 7.0.1 and I can't choose the tab to get to my lists for sending gifts. I can in IE but even then, once I have the list, I still have to check box every person. This needs to be fixed so we can just choose the entire list. How about a "select all" button!

which browser and version you are using (IE9, Chrome Firefox 3.6.23 etc)
what OS (windows7, XP, Vista etc)
at what point does the gift/exchange stop working for you? e.g exchange doesn't work, the gift page appears, but clicking on a target gift does nothing.

thanks so much for the update,but its driving me nuts about the amount of products in the facility menu showing up one day,and not showing up the next.its so darn handy to know what you need to make and what you have enough of.its working now,i sure hope it continues to work.i use google chrome btw.it works so well with this game.looking forward to the next update.keep up the good work...how about some themes? old west and such.(talking about the mouseover tool here in the facilities)

-The filter options when you send gifts to friends have changed, now you will have:

All Friends: When the friend selector window shows up, you can use these filters inside the window: All Friends, Farmtown Players and Friends to Invite.

Farmtown Farmer Lists: When the friend selector window shows up, you can use these filters inside the window: My Neighbours and Farmers Helping Me (this last filter are the same users appearing at the very bottom of the game).

Facebook Friend Lists: Due to a facebook limitation we had to provide an alternative solution for you to use all your facebook friend lists. When you click this option a drop down will appear with all your facebook friend lists, when you select your desired list the friend selector window will show up.


Thanks so much to Raul and the team for fixing this, however I have one suggestion I would like the devs to consider please :

As a regular user of friend lists to send gifts - there used to be a "select all" button on the old gift sender when I sent to lists of people. Is there any chance of one being added as I still have to select people individually once I have opened my list.

Also my bait isn't working either. I went to my fish farms, 2 of them, stored 1000 of each kind, and it went straight to my water features without hitting the storage. And my fishing tackle shop says 0. Just for informational purposes, I'm not mad about it or anything.

I don't understand It didn't work, then it did work, ONCE, not it is not working again, but it seems that it might just be the seawater bait. It is only showing that I have 50 seawater bait in storage, but the seacoast shows thousands of bait. I stored some from the fishing plant and it did not increase I traded in some gifts and it still did not increase. I tired you tricked and I cashed out stuck the facility in storage and brought it out and still did not increase.

Not sure whose warning it was, but glad I was paying attention to it....it will eat your bait numbers up if you are not careful. I know I don't want to run out of bait, just to fill it up...lol

Had 9 gifts in 'requests'..came back and there was only 1...checked FB giftbox and nothing there. Use Chrome.....Is this a common problem?

I also cannot get bait to my service store...I'm showing 200 in my storage (I had 0 until I just emptied my fish farm and it put the 200 of each in there)....28,000 in my lake and probably similar on my seacoasts. When I click to add it to my shop, it says I need to add 50 to my storage.....Is there something I need to do?


Okay..finally found the fix in the earlier posts....I had read, but missed it....sold what was in storage and came back and it loaded..... :)

I wonder how many My Requests can show, mine shows 50...but the old way shows over 200. Can it be that My requests can only display 50 at a time.

I have never used all gifts as they come in I save them till I need or want a large amount of something.

Why don't you just exchange the gifts for mango trees and leave them in the gift box till you have 64 then plant them? Why do you need to wait till you have 64 gifts to exchange them?
The part about the mango trees was just an example.
The point I was trying to make was you can only scroll to the next to the last gift if you have a large number of them to accept. It looks like the My Requests tab only holds 50 gifts. I exchanged and accepted the ones I could (49) and then more showed up after I went back to Play. So you don't lose them, but you can only get to a maximum of 50 at a time.
The scroll bar does need to be fixed so you can get to the last gift.

I bought a red sprinkler when it came out a while ago, placed it in my storage and have been able to use it on all my farms. I have tried to buy the new orange sprinkler now that it is out but it is locked and the message says I need to buy a red sprinkler. Somehow the store doesn't recognize the red sprinkler in storage even though I am able to use it. Any suggestions?

Also, it seems to have disappeared when I check storage.

This can be a data transfer glitch. First try clearing your browsers cache.

Bait stored from the fish farms goes to your waters as does gifted bait. The bait you have showing in storage is probably from working a Fishing Tackle shop, which can't be used for fishing. This new release for the fishing facility is great.. only problem im going to see already is that im not sure the fishing farm is going to be able to keep up with the supply and demand to run both the new facility and the waters.. any chance of the devs getting the fishing farm to produce the bait faster or are we going to have to rely on neighbours to gift alot more to of the bait to us, as that can be a hard task to rely on. Thanks :)

If you are like me I have a many more seacoasts than I do fresh water lakes. Even if I fished all of my rivers I would not use as much fresh water bait as I do seawater bait.

Only difference I can see is the "join my village" is the message sent from the Invite tab and the "be my neighbor" is sent from the My Neighbors tab. I am thinking the Invite does not get them to be your neighbor though so don't see it's purpose. I couldn't even send either one to my niece as she didn't show on either list. She had to go ahead and join Farm Town and then send me the invite, then we both sent the neighbor requests. But until she sent the Invite I couldn't see her on any of my lists of All my Friends. Maybe the mods can find out what the difference is and let us know.

I had a few of those just after the current release was released but seems to have gone back to normal seems it was a glitch with the add neighbour requests for a while but should be ok now. :)

I still don't understand what is up with the bait. I have thousands of bait available for fishing, but when it comes to filling the bait and tackle store sometimes I do sometimes I don't and sometimes I have one or the other but not both. Whats up with that?

Also since this last release I have been having a problem seeing people on my farm. Sometimes it is when I have hired someone from the market I see the text that they are doing something but I don't see them or the results of what they are doing until I leave and come back or switch farms a few times, other times it is when someone has come to my farm I can't see them to hire and they can't see me either....

Go to the market and sell any bait you have in storage. It will be listed under From Facilities. You need to do this to get rid of any you obtained from a neighbor's store for both Fresh Water Bait and Seawater bait. Then it will work correct from then on. This willnot sell any bait you have already in your water for fishing.

So now that most of the glitches from this release have been fixed...it is time for Farm 12 and new levels. :D

We still dont have the mini game or the fish belts - hopefully they will be sorted now the other problems are fixed. Im very glad the bait problem was solved - that was a pain having to look for bait to sell before loading the Fish Tackle shop - thanks Raul and team.

Im eager for new levels too - but I want to see what the mini game is and I badly need fish belts to get more crabs, salmon and herring. I dont want anymore water - I will need to build Noahs Ark soon! (Come to think of it I already have that on Farm 1 - the houseboat LOL)

I can load bait (250 units of each) into my bait shop and 6hrs later I have 250 units of each "used"

Next I click on "cash out" and I don't see any coins being added to my coin counter or any floating message to indicate how many coins. The count in the fishing tackle shop returns to 0 units of each bait.

If I then reload, there are again 250 units of each bait "used" so they are just going into limbo somewhere and coming back again. My other facilities are all working okay as far as I can see.

Was there only bait showing "done", did you have anything else in there to cash out? Try loading a few other products in there and try cashing out again in a few hours when more is done. This has happened once before and the problem corrected itself a few hours later. It's always possible that things are being tested with the game and can cause a few hiccups.

Playing that minigame is a pain in the *** for those we use the laptop instead the mouse. It´s impossible to control the directions using the touch pad. Next time think about that. I´ll surely won´t play at all if it´s not fixed.

I had no problems either! I was really rubbish at it at first and then i showed my 15 yr old son when he got in from school! He tried and was brilliant at it! Have you looked in your storage to see if there is bait there? If not do that, if you find bait in your storage go to the market and sell it. This will only sell the small amount of bait you have in storage and not the bait in your water. Once you have done this you should be able to load your tackle shop. The bait in storage is from where you work friends facilities before the fix was put in the game.

The Developers don't come to the forums to address problems, or the solutions... or a timetable.

I would like to think it is because they really don't have the couple minutes it would take to do so..... but it might also be that we would have a tough time understanding what they say.

Regardless, unless they communicate with the Mods (hhmmm.....) we have to just wait patiently and know that the fix will come tomorrow (that would be a FarmTown tomorrow)

The suggestion was made for a thread from the devs ....... and it could even block comments from players so that it would not get out of hand. But it could contain REGULAR communication from the ones who want our business.

This release came out 2 weeks ago today that is no where near almost three weeks. There have been some glitches with this release so I am sure the fish belts will be out soon.

If this is not there then you need to Remove Farm Town from your Apps and then re-add it. You will not lose anything from your farm by doing this. Hover over the left side of your FT bookmark and click on the pen icon that appears
scroll down the list ans see if you have an options called "Access my custom friends lists". If it's there make sure permissions are allowed.


Using the browser you normally use for FT and check to see if pop-up's are blocked. If they are...

For Firefox

Click "Tools" then "Options".
Select the "Content" tab.
Next to "Block pop-up windows" there may be a check mark in the box. If there is click on "Exceptions". A box will appear where you will be able to add "apps.facebook.com" , remember to click "Allow" .
Close your browser and reload. See if it solves it.


For Chrome


Click the spanner icon at the end of the browser address bar,
select "options",
then "under the hood" ("under the bonnet" for UK users).
Next to privacy click on "content settings".
Scroll down to "Pop-ups".
If "Do not allow any site to show pop-ups (recommended)" is selected just click on "manage exceptions" and add "apps.facebook.com" to the list and click "allow".
When you are done, close your browser and reload to help the settings catch up. See if that fixes it.


If it doesn't, when you see the "bad request" error, don't leave or refresh the page, look in your browser address bar for an icon like these..........

If you see the option button next to the icon click on it, if not just click the icon itself, and then "allow pop-ups for this site". The page should then reload and you may get another pop-up, this time from FT, allow that as well.

one thing i would like to see changed is where the plus sign is in factory when you request a item moved. i find when you are filling them with out tools it get in the way. and request for item comes up even cancel or hit the x it is still counted towards your five every 12 hrs even though you canceled and it did not post. pls can you fix it i am sure i am not only one it happens to ty

Never heard of milking a Buffalo. :confused: I know there are ranchers here in Eastern Colorado that raise them for their meat. There is a company building a meat packing plant in a small town east of where I live that will process Buffalo. We have a number of huge dairy's that supply Lepernio with Cow's milk, that they make Mozzarella from. Having seen these critters (Buffalo) up close I'm just not sure they would stand for being milked. :)

Hello,

All bait gets stored with your waters. The bait that you load into the Tackle shop comes from there. Once it's "used" and you "cash out" the facility, you sell it.

If hovering over your waters tells you you have plenty of bait and you are having problems loading bait into your facility, have a look in your "harvest/products" storage with the filter set to "ALL" and see if there is any freshwater bait or seawater bait showing up. If there is and it's less than 250, sell it, then try loading the facility.

These are 'our' Farmtown buffalo ;) ... they are 'very' tame and HOPEFULLY will just be able to be put in the dairy's we all already own ...

I don't have many of them right now because we don't have anywhere to put them ... and if you have a 'lot' of critters running around it slows the game down so I try to not have over 20 animals loose on a farm .... makes the game much quicker . :)

This is not working in Firefox 7.01 only. It does work in Chrome and IE. Clicking on those items triggers a Java script, but something in Firefox is not allowing it to run. I have look but can't find anything in the settings that will allow those to run. So do not have a solution yet for this.

From reading your other post about this and this one, have you tried going to your farm and turning off trees, flowers, and decoration, then close your farm and try going to those neighbors posts for facility help. It could be that they just have too much on their farm and it is overloading your system.
When do you not receive Farm Town Cash? What are you supposed to be getting the cash for?

So what you are missing is the coins lottery that shows up each day. This has still been somewhat random.
I am not sure what you mean by green screened. Do you mean everything disappeared and all you see is green grass or the whole thing changed to a solid green color?
Do you mean you cannot comment on their post on Facebook or can't send a message in the game?

That is strange specially if you are not having that problem with your own farms. I would say clear your cache and see if that helps. Instructions are in the following link:

I have cleared my cache and done everything that's recommended, nothing works. The whole time I play this game I use disk clean-up and refresh, refresh and refresh!! I actually googled "error Xlink" and it comes up with a whole bunch of farmtown people pretty well complaining about the same problem!!

From my experience it's becoming far too much clicking and far to much coin required to expand the farms, especially if you can not afford to buy all the gear to become basically a one click operation.

Shame, I can see more people leaving and not even going to that other farm place.
Me? While still farming every 2nd day I have taken up scrabble and Word.

i just noticed something today... have wel always been able to add ducks and peacocks to our chicken coops? i had recieved some as gifts each of the last few days and thought they were being added to my storage (so i could sell them) but lo and behold they are being stored in my chicken coop.

I don't think the same holds true for ostriches.

ETA: donkeys can be added to the stables as well. i wonder if this a sign of things to come or if i am just totally out the loop and the only one who didn't know this could be done.

I know this is a game, and everyone has their own way of playing, but where does the hiring other people to run your farm end? We hire to chop, to harvest, for trees, for flowers and to plow. If we hire to plant all thats left is filling facilities. I don't understand what enjoyment and satisfaction a person gets from just sitting there gaining coin and exp points. I love this game, and Have been with it since the flowers were "coming soon" I still like the game, and if feel its taking too much time, I just pick and choose what I do, or take a break.

When I've been loading different farms, I've been getting a lot of messages "ErrorX025" and then have to reload farmtown. One of my farms would not 'load' all day today. This has been going on for about a week now. Also getting a lot of timeouts and 'wait' messages when moving from farm to farm. Frustrating, but am sure it will eventually resolve. Just wanted to mention it. (yes, I've done the cache and cookies thing and rebooted, etc) I use Chrome and Firefox

Hello,

All bait gets stored with your waters. The bait that you load into the Tackle shop comes from there. Once it's "used" and you "cash out" the facility, you sell it.

If hovering over your waters tells you you have plenty of bait and you are having problems loading bait into your facility, have a look in your "harvest/products" storage with the filter set to "ALL" and see if there is any freshwater bait or seawater bait showing up. If there is and it's less than 250, sell it, then try loading the facility.

As i have already said, Bait does not get stored in storage, it is stored with your waters!

Open your Fishing Tackle Shop and then click on "What's in stock", have a look to see how much freshwater and seawater bait is showing next to "In Stock". If the amount is 15000, you have maxed out the facility. You won't be able to load any more bait into it until there is more room.

If that's not what the problem is, could you please provide a link to your farm showing in your post and we can take a look for you and see what the problem is.

Well it was the Freshwater bait that I had sold and it was the same that I had a problem with. I check it again and let you know how it goes.

I agree.... BUT I still think that it is NOT too much to ask if the developers could establish an INFO THREAD where only they could post (no endless comments and quires from the players or mods).

The INFO THREAD could simply be regular, even daily, comments on the progress of whatever they are working on.... no promises, no dates, no excuses etc..... just simple comments.

These could include
- next release date is on target...... thanks for playing
- we are trying to develop some tools for coin only that will help you
- a re-design of some of the facilities is progressing
- this morning we completed the 'fix' on the abc problem, thanks for your patience
- we need more coffee... real not FT coffee
- we understand the weirdness of the different scales of building... tough, live with it.
- we are eliminating the 1000/12hours on buy sell.... the 1000 will just stay in effect after each transaction.... be careful to buy only fresh products

If you own the orange sprinkler, it will irrigate trees, crops and flowers all with one click. As with the red sprinkler, speeding up growing time does not effect waste time. You may only irrigate once per day.

This is a great enhancement because my avatar usually falls way behind and now he can keep up much better. Maybe this has been happening for a while and I just noticed, but either way, I like it...

When it was released on July 8, Raul stated that all future restaurants would be able to use it.
I just checked in the store (before I purchase) and the restaurants listed are: Dinner, Chinese, Pasta, Seafood, Sushi, Soup, Ice Cream Shop & Gourmet.
Obviously, the Gourmet was released after the Tables & Chairs, but are we just behind in updating the info??
Can the Tables & Chairs be used to load the two newest restaurants....Vegetarian & BBQ??
I just don't want to purchase and then be disappointed and have to whine! :D

This was changed several releases back but only does it when you are working for someone else. The avatar still is behind when working your own farm.

No there are a few new items this year. The tree with the turkey is new and there is a new house.

Both those items are you your Thanksgiving tab from the store. They are not in the gifting section. I believe you are correct in saying there is nothing new for gifts, but there is new for the store.

Maybe it's just a glitch, but when I chop trees on my own farm, my avatar now jumps from place to place. It make chopping much faster. Maybe my avatar is confused and thinks he's working on someone else's farm.

Be inventive devs.... release the 40 levels to level 300....

release 3 farms at even huge coin prices. With all the facilities, tools, Super Pooper, watering devices etc.... it is not really all that hard for an older player to make a quarter to a half BILLION each week.

The the lower levels have something, not FT$$, to work for ..... and the higher levels also have a "reward" for all their points and coin, and in most cases would also have something to work for.

Well, Taz D, I believe that you are mistaken. You obviously (I am assuming, & you know what happens when one assumes something :) ) that you own BOTH the Tables & Chairs and the Drive-Thru System.

I searched the store and NO updated info was available for either, but the Tables & Chairs does NOT work in the BBQ Restaurant.

When I finally clicked on the Start All button in that facility, it said I needed the Drive-Thru System.

Gonna follow up with my own post to rant a little.

So, I waited to purchase one of these until yesterday. I wanted to make sure there were no major glitches and everything was working well. I have spent a lot of real money on Farm Town, but these tools are very expensive and there are 10 of them. $35 FC Each! I researched and counted number of clicks to load and how many coins from I could make from each one.
I went to the store, and the info there simply has not been updated.:o
The Drive-Thru System still only lists the original ones in the July 8 release.
The Table & Chairs listed the Gourmet Restaurant in addition to the original list. I assumed, since Raul had said all new would benefit, that the recently released Vegetarian Restaurant & BBQ Restaurant would also benefit from the Table & Chairs.

I went to the store, and the info there simply has not been updated.:o
The Drive-Thru System still only lists the original ones in the July 8 release.
The Table & Chairs listed the Gourmet Restaurant in addition to the original list. I assumed, since Raul had said all new would benefit, that the recently released Vegetarian Restaurant & BBQ Restaurant would also benefit from the Table & Chairs.
Well, my mistake... I SHOULD have clicked on the Start All in the facility, because it will tell you which tool is needed. But, NO, I assumed that both of the new restaurants would be under the Table & Chairs. :eek:
I guess I am here just to vent. And to ask the mods, who have been SO busy getting the gifting straightened out (including for me!!) to PLEASE try to get the store and the game guide updated. I really do read the game guide. I know, I should have just clicked on the facility, but I didn't:(

Well, I guess I don't know which tool actually does it because I have all of the tools that would give you a Start All button, and everyone of my facilities (120+) have the Start All button, except for Service Facilities. We really need tools for them too. I can go through all my facilities real quick now since they have all the Start All buttons just get slowed down when it comes to the Service Facilities. Maybe we will get one from them in this next release. :)

Be inventive devs.... release the 40 levels to level 300....

release 3 farms at even huge coin prices. With all the facilities, tools, Super Pooper, watering devices etc.... it is not really all that hard for an older player to make a quarter to a half BILLION each week.

The the lower levels have something, not FT$$, to work for ..... and the higher levels also have a "reward" for all their points and coin, and in most cases would also have something to work for.

This may be ok for people who can make that kind of coins per week. Myspace players do not have that ability as we can not publish factories for neighbours to work, nor work neighbours factories to make extra coins. I have a lot of factories but its slow to make coins as they just work on a 15 day turnround.

How do you get rid of borders around river corners or sea coast to create the illusion of a waterfall. Aware waterfall is located in Farm Town tab "other" I want to see if it's possible I've seen other farms with this effect and think it's cool.

Bait is not supposed to go to storage. It goes to the associated water feature. If you are talking about using it in the Fishing Tackle Shop this is filled from what you have in your water features. If you are showing a small amount of bait when you go to that servive facility to load it, then you have bait in your storage left over from the initial release of that facility. This was a glitch. Go to the market and sell that small amount of bait, then you should be able to load the tackle shop from what you have in your water features.

Your bait is not supposed to go to storage. Before you dump the bait go to a fresh water river or lake and mouse over it to see what your stored bait is. You can do the same over a seacoast to see the amount of bait you have. Then when you dump your bait, **and refresh**, go back to lakes and seacoasts and you will see the increase. When the bait was going to inventory storage, it was a mistake. If you still have bait in inventory, you must sell it before you can successfully dump new bait into the lakes and seacoasts. Hope this helps.

Since the last update I've had problems sometimes (not all the time) seeing people. Neighbours come to my farm and they can't see me and I can't see them. If they send me a chat message then we can agree to both move to another farm, where we are visible. I tried changing my default farm (in case the previous one was too 'busy' with all my facilities) but that did not help.

Any ideas?
