Try Blocking farmtown then unblocking the game this often resolves the gifting problem.

14. Bug Fixes/Improvements:

- When you are putting items in the farm (from item storage, gift box, etc) and the category for that item is hidden you get a warning message. This way you will not be lost questioning why the item disappeared.

Can you "undo" this "improvement" please. Or at least allow people to ignore the warning and carry on. Placing trees into missing spots in an orchard is nigh on impossible now.

I agree with turning it back off or giving the option to ignore but it is not impossible, you just have to unhide them, grab the item and then hide them. Pain it @$$ but it works.

Is it possible to fix it where if you have multiple of the same facilities, to be able to uncheck something and the duplicate facility will keep it checked. Some of my facilities I bought that are duplicates was for one specific product. IE....I have 2 Food Preserve Factories because I needed more tuna. If I uncheck everything in the second Food Preserve Factories except tuna the first one will also uncheck everything except the tuna.

I agree, I thought this should had been a fix for the last update, or at least an update for this update. I guess enough of us are not complaining about it for them to fix it.

Actually I have seen that too, but most of the ones I see on are ones that haven't played in so long that they have lost their farm and if you go to it there is nothing there.

Has anyone else noticed that when you go into My Request and say it tell you that you have 50 gifts to accept or exchange and you do them that when you come out it still says you have 50 even if you hit Play again. It will until you go back in and then the counter gets updated... Just curious if this has been reported.

- for all those with bug errors, glitches, etc., may I be forgiven for sounding like a broken record, but the easiest fix is simple: go to the Options settings for your browser and clear ALL your cache, cookies and ALL your browsing history, and then (here's the bit people forget or ignore), re-boot your pc, otherwise the changes won't properly take effect, and then you should be fine.

Yes agree with Stoneface and Frank - please please increase the limits on buying and selling to neighbours etc and that wretched 12 hour limit on bonuses!

Since this problem has not been fixed in two weeks, here's a work around. If you select something inside the "send gift back to" message box then hit "tab" you can eventually get the "send" button to scroll into the field and then hit "enter." This will allow you to actually return a gift using the old gift system. Apparently this giant bug is not a priority, so I thought I'd mention a work around to this gigantic glaring bug that they haven't fixed in two weeks in case someone else has been is having problems with this gigantic bug that hasn't been fixed in two weeks.

- Checkboxes in regular facilities and services facilities are now separate, for example, you can now have your baits checked in your fish farming plant but unckeck in the fishing tackle shop

- When putting items in the farm (from item storage, gift box, etc) and the category for that item is hidden you get a warning message but you are allowed to continue if you want

- There is a new preference option to 'Show/Hide Seasonal Items', so you can now hide all seasonal items at once

- The herding minigame can now be played in multiplayer-mode, once you challenge all farmers in the farm and people join the game, the one who complete all 3 stages first win, prizes coming soon

Thank-you SO much for the Show/hide seasonal items - really needed that. And also the ability to have separated tick boxes in ordinary facilities and in services.
Not so happy about the mini game only being playable in multi-player mode - Im rarely on here at the same time as others! Same reason I am unlikely to use the facility to get someone to help me decorate my farm.
Lots of other good things to keep me happy though so again thank-you for listening to us.

i wondered why the game was running slow.....wow thanks for the updates.......I just actually saw that hide/show seasonal items....and came here to check on the first page of this thread..........wow that is sooo coool.............ty ty not sure if anyone is having the problem of accidently clicking on the dice to play the mini game but i am.....and the only way to stop it from loading at least that i have found is to refresh or click play on the game.....anyone know a better way??? maybe it is just me cause of the new keyboard and computer thing maybe i will get used to it......

for now they are only available in the Frozen Lake, which costs $FT

If you get the lake, remember that the fish are still Non-Ingredients, so you can store them or sell them as non-I's

Unlike the Tench, which has become "extinct" in Farm Town, I think the pike and walley-eyes will have a use in the future....... maybe.... :cool:

they are basically only good for coins until Sir Raul creates a facility item to use them :)

Now that its winter, I bought the Frozen lake for $30 FC with those fish in them. I also know that they are not used anywhere, but I live in Minnesota and those are wonderful fish to eat in the restaurants. Just maybe someday they will be added to a menu somewhere. In the meantime I’ll just store them and sell them when I get over 10,000 or so, which is the point where I start to think about selling anything at the market except Tomatoes, Wheat, Milk or Eggs as I use a lot of those items.

So, not sure where to post this question, but it seems the gift box has decreased in size since the last update. Can only accept 100 gifts or so before the gift box is full. Anyone else having this same problem?

Just had to add my THANKS for separating the check box for ingredients between the regular facilities and the service facilities!!

AND a HUGE THANK YOU for giving the option to hide seasonal items!!! Makes it a lot easier to decorate and still harvest crops or flowers behind those items. :D

One request that I haven't seen mentioned in a while.....I really like the scroll bar that is available in the market and for the belts. Any possibility you will add it to the store?? (in fact, for ALL items that have a menu??) :cool:

Love the newest release. Only problem I can see is the winter trees will not hide when you uncheck the "show seasonal items" in the drop down box. Some of the houses also do not hide. Thanks again for all the great work you do to keep this game #1.

For some reason my trees do not stay fertilized. I noticed several days ago that all my trees to be chopped were not fertilized and some of the harvestable trees also. I ALWAYS fertilize every farm at the same time, as soon as I notice that a farm needs to be fertilized. I just finished harvesting all my trees again and I had the same problem, even though the trees should have remained fertilized from the last time I harvested them. What's going on?? I do not have the newest sprinkler... it's too expensive! Does this have anything to do with my problem??

Hi there,

Just had a look at your farms, as far as i can tell all trees that can be chopped or harvested are showing as fertilised. The only ones that do not show (F) are decorative trees, which is correct.

If you fertilised a farm when the trees were showing ready to be harvested or chopped then the fertilisation would not work on those trees, at that time, as it needs to be applied during the growing process. If that's what you did, harvesting/chopping them would then show the (F).

If there are specific trees you are having problems with, let us know which ones and whereabouts on which farm, so we can take a look.

For example I have 3 bakeries on 3 fields. Actually they fixed a problem between the regular facilities and the service facilities with the check boxes. I will let you know if my trees are not fertilized when I harvest them. The last 2 times I harvested, they definitely were fertilized [they had the (F)] when I fertilized my farms. I made sure to check on that. It was when I came back 3 days later that they were no longer fertilized. I have such an abundance of trees that I don't chop the oaks, pines, etc. until I harvest the fruit trees. I will let you know if this problem continues when I chop/harvest the next time. Yes - actually its not just the winter trees its quite a lot of the Winter items - the Ice Skating Ring, the Winter Pine and Big Winter Pine, Igloo, Penguin Igloo, Winter Log Cabin, Winter Hedge, Snowman, Winter Farm House, Winter Barn, Winter Black Fences, Winter Gazebo, and the Winter House. Things like the Carol Singers, the Santas Workshop, SAnta Working etc DO hide with Seasonal Items.

The other items that dont hide with the Seasonal Items also dont hide with trees, buildings, decorations etc.

I cant find any rational for it - some are out of my storage, others are new from the store, some are gifts...............

Yes Ive done all the things, clearing Cache etc.

I didnt notice before as I have a dedicated winter farm and dont need to hide things en masse. But would be a problem if I make a farm where I grow stuff into winter especially with the trees.

If you have the boxes checked for bait in the Fishing Tackle Shop then your bait will load into that to be sold. Should be unchecked there and checked in the Fish Farming Plant to make bait.

Like I said - I have everything "unchecked" so that my bait will not be sold or transferred or anything else other than to go directly into my storage for my exclusive use in fishing my rivers & lakes. But it seems that every time I logout of FarmTown/FaceBook, the game is not remembering my settings and, if I don't remember to check them each time I enter FarmTown, then I end up losing everything. This is, as I see it, a game issue, not my issue. Something is wrong somewhere & my selections are defaulting to settings I have not chosen.

This is only happening with the freshwater bait - the seawater bait seems to be fine (I had to "fix" it when I discovered it a few days after this release and, so far, it has not been an issue).

If you go to "Known Issues, Glitches and Bugs" from the first page of the Forum Menu and look for Molly Mew's posting "Facebook Changes" there is a link you can book mark which will give you just the Farm Town postings made by your friends. It works very well - like the old games feed you could select from your FB Wall.

On your Home page find Newsfeed in the left column. Move your mouse pointer over that and you will see a pen symbol appear. Click on that symbol and choose Edit settings. Check the list that shows up and look for Farm Town. If you find it in this list then click on the X to the right of it to remove Farm Town. This is a list of things that have been blocked from your newsfeed and you don't want to block Farm Town posts.

Have you updated your Flash? Also is this when you are moving the farm or just moving the mouse across the screen? Does it come back to normal after you stop moving or does it stay white?

I have this problem in Internet Explorer too - not just with Farm Town but with another game as well. I gave up using that browser and now only use Google Chrome. Its a free download - just search for it.

I don't think it is even accurate, I has me listed as #4 and I know at least 4 others have more XP than I do. It only shows the #3 ranking with mine. He is a Facebook friend and I think I may be his Farmtown neighbor but he never accepted my neighbor request so he is not in my list, but of those that are there are only 3 higher than I. So not sure if it is counting on his list or mine.

I'm desperate for more crab and it is a long way between crab belts :( Thanks in advance if you have any idea why this is happening.

I've just passed through my second crab belt and on reaching both levels I was not given the option to post for a bonus :( :( :( :( Has this happened to others, or is it a problem for me only? I can't figure it out. The bonus request has worked for both trees and flowers over the past week, so it's not the change to holiday computer. I'm desperate for more crab and it is a long way between crab belts :( Thanks in advance if you have any idea why this is happening.

Yes Taz its all out of proportion isn't it? I am always short of Salmon (Freshwater) and Crab (saltwater) but I reached the Salmon Black quite easily but now Im catching loads of sea fish I dont need in order to crawl towards the Crab top belts and Ive got thousands to go to even get to Blue.

Please please Devs DO something about the minute amount of Crab in proportion to other fish - especially as more of these are needed than say Swordfish!

The only way you can do that would be to use the All filter and check everything you want to sell. Not sure it is worth it to do all that work though.

No they don't. In fact they go to waste at the total original time. So if you speed up a 4 hour crop to 2 hours then the waste time will be 6 hours.

They are in the small seacoast too and I find I get more from them than I do from the large ones. And the small seacoasts are for coin.

I too am grateful for the hide seasonal option. The winter trees are sold under the winter tab and not the seasonal tab, which I assume is why they don't hide. I wish they did.

Hmm facebook controls the window displaying your friends. Have you tried creating new list? See if your friends show up in that one, if not then it might be a temporary hicccup with FB.

I don't have any of the sprinklers (don't do flowers) but let me try. First thing is no you don't have the option to choose to water just flowers and not crops. The only way I can figure out how to do that would be to water flowers before crops are planted and then crop will not be sped up.
The Orange sprinkler adds the trees to that and speeds them up too.

If you water as soon as you plant then the ready time for the crop will be exactly half. However if you wait say half of the time before you water then the time would only be cut by 1/4, because it only cuts the remaining time in half. There is no easy formula to figure it out. The only way you can tell would be to look at the time left just after you water it to be able to know what it is going to be.

I don't think that is correct. The days shown in those times is actually based on a 24 day. A 2 day crop which is 40 hours shows as 1.6 days. If you divide 40 hours by 24 hours then you get 1.666666, rounded to 1.6 days. So 1.6 x 24 = 38.4 which is not exactly accurate either as it should be 40 hours. And 1.2 x 24 = 28.8 hours.
Not as easy and far from being a good accurate system to determine when crops are going to be ready.

Thanks Raul for the increase to 1,500 for selling products. The real problem I find here is the percentage rate. The lowest I can sell first up is 150 products and sometimes people might only want 100 when I first sell, or their first buy. Would it not be easier to just have an up and down arrow so we can sellect the exact amount we want to sell instead of the percentage system? Really great to see the increase so thank you so much for that :)

Under preferences check to see if "Remove Space Between Fields" is selected. Other than that all I can say is it still works for me but we aren't allowed to give specifics for this sort of thing. There ARE FB groups where they will give you help however. (Mods hope Im allowed to say this ;))

I can still put things on top of cobblestone and other paths - still have the problem of things disappearing under the path if you don't place them just so, but if you work with them a bit, you can usually get what you want. Or plant a flower there or something. ;)

I dont recall complaining, nor do I have that attitude of "go elsewhere"" with anyone in the game.. if I can help them, then I will do all I can to help them, especially if they are newer to the game and need to get as many different crops for ingredients as possible and spend their quota carefully. Maybe I shouldnt suggest a more simpler way for people to sell in case its seen as complaining.. feed back is not complaining by the way!

It sure would be nice if winter trees, snow pines, winter fence, winter house, etc could be hidden when you uncheck the boxes in preferences. It really makes it so much more difficult when you are designing a farm and you have to hide them individually.

Spot on StoneFace! That is the spirit of the game that makes a big difference to new players. I had help from some wonderful players that have become friends to me. I just cant get over the attitude of "go elsewhere" and the lack of care factor that presents.. why be here then? The so called "complaining" we do is what is making the game it is today.. that, and players like you! I really do hope Raul might see it as a viable option to let us sell the exact amount we want.. but if not.. so be it, we still do our best to help out others! :)

when will there be new levels ive spent alot of money and time to be stuck where im at and also alot of the facilities will not supply my farm please take this into consideration. i would hate to give this game up and tell other people that there is now where else to go in this game. im very upset and would like to see a change thanks

hi we just got new levels and farm 12 in the current release i wouldent expect to see any new levels for a while and only the devs know when that will be.

Spot on StoneFace! That is the spirit of the game that makes a big difference to new players. I had help from some wonderful players that have become friends to me. I just cant get over the attitude of "go elsewhere" and the lack of care factor that presents.. why be here then? The so called "complaining" we do is what is making the game it is today.. that, and players like you! I really do hope Raul might see it as a viable option to let us sell the exact amount we want.. but if not.. so be it, we still do our best to help out others! :)

Do you have some other game to go to that has more than 200 levels? Any other farm game where you: can buy 12 farms; earn unlimited coins; purchase most game products with in-game coins?
l think the name of the only game that has these is Farm Town.

They always finish the release before raul posts the release notes but im sure everyone will be happy that it appears the sprinklers have been seperated so you can now use the original one to just water flowers

so far the best is when working service facilities or facillites when you click on it and start working on the first the ones with none on them blanc out like when you are hired to work on someones farm it sure is a great help thank you so very much love it

I also don't like that we cannot visit the farms that are not highlighted. I would check out all of their farms to see how they have designed them, as well as water flowers on the farms that had then, when my neighbors posted their service or regular facilities. Now I cannot do either (yes, I can water the flowers on the farm(s) that has the facilities they posted.
