Cooperative Quests
(also referred to as Co-ops)

Co-operative Quests are all about interacting with your friends.
They are completely separate from the regular quests (brown dice) and have their own Cooperative Quest Manager.


Update - April 18th,2024
When you can buy a product from a farmers co-operative quest there is now a dark blue BUY note so you don't have to click on quests that are not useful to you.
The number on the note indicates how many you can buy.

If you decide to participate in Cooperative Quests you must be willing to sell some products to your friends for their Cooperative Quests.

You can open a cooperative quest every 10 hours. You must complete the quest before it expires. You have space to have up to 5 quests open at a time depending on your level. Here's the list >>

Level 20 - 1 Max Active Quests
Level 40 - 2 Max Active Quests
Level 60 - 3 Max Active Quests
Level 80 - 4 Max Active Quests
Level 100 - 5 Max Active Quests

Farm Cash Rewards for Cooperative Quests Rules:

13 Quests in 7 days - 2 Farm Cash
4 Quests in 7 days - 1 Farm Cash

Please note that quests drop off the chart and are no longer counted exactly 7 days to the second after the last step is completed. If a quest completes at 8:35 AM on a Monday then at 8:35 AM the next Monday it is no longer counted.

Sometimes some of the co-op quests get the times wrong for a product. The problem is it is very random and when the developers try to troubleshoot it then it works correctly. Unfortunately we can't do anything to change the time required for it.


You can find your account ID number at the bottom of your farms page.

When I couldn't find an item I needed for my co-op quest I've asked my husband to send it to me but he cannot because, even though he doesn't do the co-op quests, every neighbor he clicks on, including me, shows "BUY" on every item of every quest. So he can't send items to anybody. Can you please tell us how to fix this?

You need to put a help note on the item you need from him. That is the only way he can sell it to you.
He does have to be your neighbor in Farm Town.

Have him close and restart his farms, then open his co-op quest manager in his toolbox. Then find you in that.

Thanks, Taz, but that won't help. It's been an ongoing issue for a while now so farms and computers have been closed and shut down many times but it hasn't helped..
I'm going to see if I can post pictures here to show you what my co-op looks like from my farm and what it looks like from his side.

But this happens with every quest. And for my husband, it's the same on every quest for every one of his neighbors. Every item just says BUY so he can't send anything to anyone.

I am not sure why he can't see the help note. He would not see a green check mark on it as you haven't gotten it yet and he would not have it if he doesn't play those. All he should have to do is click on it to sell.
Please have him try clearing his memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.
If your farm is open close it. Then reopen and try again.

All his neighbors show the same thing, BUY on every item. Green check if they have it already, but help tags don't show up so he doesn't have the option to sell needed items.

Hey Taz, something else I just noticed on my husband's account.. Below his neighbor list, instead of showing people who helped etc, all it shows is error messages..

He is not seeing the neighbors pictures in the Neighbor bar.
He may not have his friends list allowed in the app settings for Farm Town to view, so they can not get the pictures. I am not sure if he can set that since he may have removed it.
Have him contact Support about it and see if they can figure out a way to get that setting restored.

Hi Beth,
I am sorry, but the problem is that you had the oldest quest completed drop 6 seconds before you collected. Unfortunately quests are good for only 7 days after completion to the second. That is why you got only 1 farm cash.


This is why we recommend you do not start the last step of any quests you want to hold over until at least 1 day after you have collected your farm cash.

I will tell you what I do. I open 2 per day, one in the morning and one in the evening. I regularly have 14 - 15 done every week.

Please be sure that your browser is up to date, most of them have had an update between yesterday and today. Also check if you have any pending update for Windows or Mac in case you use it.
After any update, it is always better to restart your computer.

When you have a problem with a quest please remember to tell us what it is you have to make or load.

If your issue is with Make Fetal Doppler, that's a product made in the new Prenatal Supplies Factory released this month, which you do not own, so that would be why the facility is greyed out.

Going in that direction it works properly, showing a box that says (neighbor name) has completed all their quests, and allows you to continue on through your neighbor list instead of closing.

It happens regardless of which way you go through the list. Since the list is created when you select to organise by Cooperative Quests. So if someone completes all their quests after that point they are still in the list. There isn't anyway for the program to catch they have no quests left until you go to the person in the list, so this is going to happen.

Hi earlgray,

There's nothing like the neighbours bar method. I tend to look for a co-op icon bottom left of the game screen when working faciities for others. If there is one then I know they are doing them so will look. I don't bother working out who is a buddy and who isn't. Other than that, usually if someone needs help pretty quickly they will send me a message.

I moved your post to the thread about Cooperative quests.

You need to give us an example of the product you are trying to sell.

But take in mind that there are 3 sizes for stored items like crops, fish etc. Large size, regular size and small size.

If you only have small size stored for, let say a crop, then you can't help with cooperative quests. Small size are the items you get as gifts so you cant use them for helping with cooperative quests.

When I do the last step which is load them in a service facility, it tells me I need 5 more microscopes and won't load it but I can't buy anymore. What can I do?

According to your data you have 5 Microscopes stored so you should be able to load them in the service facility.

Please close your farms and then reopen and see if you can load them.

If not, then run memcache, link below. A new window will open with a short list of unsettings. Close that window and your farm in all tabs you have it open. Then reopen the game and try to load the items again.

In the forum, the Social Section for Co-operative Quests is where you could post your own Co-operative Quests if you were doing them along with your farm link so that others can see them. Your farm link would be used to visit you to buy from one of your Quests steps or if one of their own co-operative quests could help you with yours, they could visit you to leave a message letting you know you could buy from them if you wanted to. The green man on each message allows you to go to that farmers farm so that you can see their co-operative quests to buy from them if you needed to.

In the same respect you can use their farm link in a forum post to visit them to do the same, help yourself or leave a message to help them. If you wanted to do that you would need to read the first pos (https://www.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=648926)t on page one in that section so you know what kind of information you need to post there

Is the coop quest for loading 20 Egg and Ham Sandwich?

If so, I can see you have a help note placed in that coop quest probably for Ham.

Once a friend sells you ham then you will be able to use the other help note for Egg and Ham sandwich.

I don't understand why I got a quest that I was unable to complete due to the fact that it required me to purchase a facility that was a level 247 requirement. I am at Level 167! To get all the way to the end of a co op quest and then to discover that I could never complete it no matter what, is most discomforting!! This is totally wrong! I took too much of my time to attempt to complete an impossible task. There has got to be a solution to this problem.

We can see that you have these Co-operative Quests still open:


Load Plantain Chips Quest - final step loads into the Snack Machine (Level 107)

Load Aquarium Decor - final step loads into the Pet Shop (Level 103)

If you thought that you needed the Pet Accessories Factory (Level 287) for the Aquarium Decor, that facility is not a service facility, it's where that product would be made.

Your quest is to load the decor into the Pet Shop which you do own.

You already have the previous Buy Aquarium Decor step done and at this time you have 16 Aquarium Decor in storage so you can load a single batch in the Pet Shop to complete that Quest as it only requires 10 of them.



For future reference:

There are a few ways to be able to get some products without making it yourself when you don't own the facility:


by using a help note when it's not the final step.

for load quests, if you needed more of the decor to be able to complete the last step you can get them by working farmers facilities that own that facility and are making them, as you would get some when you worked them.


To know what level the facility is before you attempt to complte any steps you could mouseover the final step of a Quest to get the name of the facility that a product is made or loaded in and then check to see if you have it and if you don't you can check the store to see if you are at a high enough level to buy it. Then you don't have to complete all the previous steps if you don't want to do any particular Quest.

Quests are assigned at random, it doesn't check what facilities you already own, you can also get them where previous steps or the final step requires a Farm Cash facility that you may not own or want to buy.

If you click in the item which shows a help note and you cant help it could be due:

.- that item was already sold by other farmer

.- you only have the small size of the required item. You need to have the regular or large sizes to be able to sell them.
For example if a friend has a help not for blueberries and you only have gifted blueberries stored, then you cant help with them.

The quest manager has been telling me I do not have enough Brussel Sprouts fields to give to her quest since last night.
I have tried 1) logging out of FT and back in several times; 2) clearing my memcache using the link for the website, and then reloading my farms; 3) harvesting even more Brussel Sprout fields from my own farms, repeatedly.

None of these has helped me help her.
I have not helped her on this quest yet, so it's not a matter of not being able to help her on this particular quest. It's just telling me repeatedly that I do not have enough of the product to help her, and I can't figure out why. Thank you for any insight into what is wrong.

The only thing I can tell you is that there was a problem with brussel sprouts when the facility was released.
It was fixed some hours later, but if your neighbor opened the quest before the fix was released then it is not possible to sell the product through the help note.
The fix is released for the product in the facility but it doesnt apply to a quest already opened.

I've seen this myself and the quest is asking incorrectly for "Brussels Sprout Field" (and shows a seed bag). This doesn't match the items you have in storage which are the harvested crops, not the seeds. I have reported this to the developers in case they need to correct the quest separately to the facility.

There isn't anything we can do which is why she has to contact Support. I don't know if it can be fixed or if she will have to just let it expire.

Hi Lin Greenthumb,
This is one of 2 quests that very intermitently end up with extended times. The developers have not been able to figure out why as every time they check it then the time is correct. Unfoortunately there is nothing we can do to fix this. If it doesn't complete before the expiration time then you will not get that one.

Is this for a co-op quest? If so the only way you can sell a product to them would be if they have a help note on it for you to click on.

If they are not your neighbor, buddy or in your facebook friends list in the Farmer List then you can not directly sell a product needed for a quest to them. If you go to someone's farms for their co-op quests you can only buy from them at a higher price than normal. The only way you can "sell" the product to them is if you have it in one of your quests and they come to your farm and buy it from your quests again at a higher than normal price.

There would have to be a help note on a specific ingredient or product. If you didn't see it then it would be on one down below or above what you are seeing in the screen. You would need to scroll to find it.

There are couple of things you can try:


Reload the game, then before you load any services, open your co-op quest and try loading them.


Try storing any you have made in your Belgian Restaurant and then try loading them.

When you can buy a product from a farmers co-operative quest there is now a dark blue BUY note so you don't have to click on quests that are not useful to you.
The number on the note indicates how many you can buy.

I'm sorry but quests (regular and cooperative) are assigned at random, it doesn't check what facilities you already own.

If you dont have more help notes then you need to look through your friends coop quest to see if any of them have the product.

You dont have much time to complete the quest so you can also ask your friends if they have a friend with that product availabe for you to buy.

I moved your post to the thread about co-op quests.
What I see in your data is that you collected last week on the 14th at 6:49 AM Eastern time and have not collected yet today.


Your first quest after you collected last week was completed at 9:08 eastern time. Since you have not collected yet this week that quest has dropped off the list leaving you with 12 quests currently.


Quests only stay on the list for 7 days exactly to the second after they have been completed. So at 9:08 this morning that oldest quest dropped off the list. For it to count and you get 2 FC you would have had to collect your FC prior to 9:08 this morning.



As you have one in progress for french onion soup you should be able to wait until that one is complete and then collect your 2 FC.

There are a few products in 2 or 3 facilities taking more time when you get that quest or cooperative quest.

Sadly the developers were not able to fix them as it is not easy due farmers get those quests very rarely and you only notice after the last step is started.

Thanks, Taz. And FWIW, today, my regular quest is from that factory. Again, I don't expect you to do anything about this. And I understand the developers need to make money; I sure don't expect them to do all the creative and maintenance on this game for free! I just wish they'd stop with the facade of random selection--not just from this current situation with me, but obviously, new facilities have a greater chance of being used in quests to drive sales. I am not saying this is a bad thing at all, just that I wish they would stop saying random selection when it's weighted selection.

Open your co-op quests and click on the one for Killer Whale Food. You should see a green check mark for the salmon there. The salmon themselves go into your storage.

I moved your post to the thread about Cooperative quests as the picture you are posting is about them.

In that picture only 9 quests are still in the chart so that means you can only get 1 farm cash.

Please take in mind that quests are only good for seven days to the second. After that they drop off the chart.

All times I will provide you are eastern times.

You collected farm cash on June 21st at 18:19

You then completed 2 coop quests at 19:33 and 19:34 that same day.
On June 22nd, you completed another 2 coop quests at 05:44 and 06:44

You collected 1 farm cash today, June 29th at 10:45

By that time the 4 coop quests I listed had already dropped off the chart as 7 days have past for them.
That is why you only had 9 coop quests available.


What I could suggest to you is to collect your farm cash and then start opening coop quests but do not complete the last step for them till you have 5 opened.
Then you can complete one to have space to open a new one and so on.

When a quest is completed it goes on the chart. At the end of 7 days to the second then it drops off of that chart and is no longer counted. The only way you can stop a quest from being complete is to not complete the last step of a quest by unchecking it in the facility it is done in. As we say do not complete any quests until at least the day after you have collected your FC.
The server has to go by the rules set down with no exceptions. There isn't any way for the server to vary from those.

As you made a cryptic comment, with no explanation or picture, I had no idea what you were talking about. I thought you were referring to the previous player's problem.
However, the information I gave you is correct. For regular quests you must complete at least 3 quests and wait at least 7 days before you can collect you FC after the last time you collected. For co-op quests you must complete 4 quests and wait the 7 days for the button to turn blue.

It will stay blue until you claim it or the number of quests still active in the chart (completed within the last 7 days to the second) drops below 4 for co-op quests or 3 for regular quests.

I see that they have a yellow tag on one or more of their co-op quests but when I go to that quest it is all grayed out so I can't send anything.
One person this happened with added me as their neighbor, still grayed out.

If you go to anyone's farms who is not your neighbor or buddy then you will see the greyed out ingredients. You can only buy from them if they have something you need for a quest. You can not help them with help notes.

You have to click on help note and then drag it down to the ingredient you want to add it to. Don't try to hold down the mouse button. When you get it to the ingredient you want it on then click again.

Before starting checking neighbors with blue dot, do you click in one of them in the neighbors bar below the game screen and then click in Order By Cooperative Quests option?

When I order my neighbors bar that way, then if I get to someone who is already done with their quests, then I only get the message but I can continue clicking in the arrow to see the next neighbor's coop quests.

It is always better to change the options to the one you want to check.

You can change it to Order by cooperative quests and when you are done, then back to Order by Super Neighbor.
