Taz, Rose is describing exactly what is happening. When you choose "only me" or "custom" that choice does NOT register and it defaults to "friends" or "public" It seems to default to the choice that was present before you chose "only me" or "custom"

I think I have found a work-around for this, but it's somewhat of a pain in the neck. If you post a status and choose Only Me, it works. If you then go into a game and post from there, the Only Me remains.

Several friends are now laughing at my "this is just a test" status updates. But that's okay. Anything for the team. ;)
To update you on this, the problem with the saving is a Facebook change broke that and there is nothing that Farm Town can do to fix it. It will require Facebook to fix the code for that.

Checking or unchecking the box only determines whether they will go on the show wall requests.
Facebook keeps making changes and it is effecting some when trying to post.
There are a few things you can try though they haven't been real successful lately with the Facebook changing things so often.

Please try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close it and your farm, then clear your browser cache and close your browser. Reopen and try again.

Check to make sure you have allowed 3rd party cookies and pop ups in your browser settings. Those are needed for the in game pop up screens to show.

Facebook.com
Apps.facebook.com
Trialpay.com

Also , if you have an ad-blocker plugin in your browser make sure the above web sites are also allowed in that too.

Be sure you close and restart your browser for those changes to take effect.

Please note to add the sites in exceptions:
In Chrome you have to go to Advanced settings at the bottom of the options page.
In Firefox add the sites under the Content tab for pop ups and under the Privacy tab for cookies. For the cookies to work you must set the History setting to "Use custom settings for history"

And last is try a different browser to see if it will work through that.

Ya. My guess would be Facebook is being naughty again. This morning I had to use Maxthon instead of Opera because the Send Gifts tab was not bring up names in the latter. Then an hour later the names appeared again in Opera too! I'm just thinking of it as another challenge to my brain injury for it to overcome. (Please try to resist having that song going through your head for the rest of the day! :D )

I worked all of my farms leaving nothing ready, yet all bar the decorations farms still show masses of work available

I emptied facilities, just in case it was including facility products - no change to the numbers

I checked stats with the Show Farm Stats tool which showed correctly that nothing was currently ready for harvest, chop, shake or pick

The numbers don't correspond to animals in sheds either

Have run memcache and waited 20 mins several times over, yet still the Show Work Info button is showing lots of work available, wheareas there is in fact nothing to do - some clarification would be appreciated - but not urgently :D

That is the correct indication as you cannot have but 1 tab connected to the server at a time, so the other one goes to off line.

I'm getting the same thing at times. At other times the farm shows up green and not centered at first when I'm changing farms. It pops back to the center and shows my crops etc. quickly though.

Will go work all again AND plant all to see what it says then - would much prefer it to exclude plowed fields but as Super Neighbours can plant for us I suppose that counts as available work. Will continue visiting each farm before hiring and using the Farm Stats Tool :D

Post-Release Updates - November 21th, 1:00AM

We just released another batch of improvements and bug fixes as part of the next release, see all the details below:

- Farm Loading optimizations, farms should in general load up to 25% faster. This is assuming that most of your game items are cached by your browser. A note on this, clearing your browser cache should be done only when necessary, for example, when Farmtown doesn't load correctly or extreme cases like that, usually it is not needed, and the downside is that every time you clear your browser cache you have to reload all the items to your computer which takes time, specially on slower connections, and every time you visit farms with items that are not cached you will have to wait extra time. Clearing memcache is fine and doesn't have any downsides, memcache is cleared automatically after 3 hours of inactivity.

- Better progress indicators, you will now see a more uniform progress indicator as your items are being downloaded and as your farm is being rendered for display.
- When planting using the Combine Harvest-Plant, you can change seeds by opening the store directly, you do not need to perform the extra step of re-selecting your combine again on your toolbox.
- Flags for Bahamas, Greece, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore are now showing correctly.
- There is now one more line in the chat history, for a total of 6 lines.
- When working as a Super Neighbour, we removed the "Would you like to go home?" confirmation message when you click on the Home icon.
- When clicking the blue disk on top to save changes, we replaced the confirmation message by a non intrusive fading message.

- BugFix: When using the Multiplanters sometimes the recently planted items disappeared and appeared randomly.
- BugFix: When using the manure spreaders and sprinklers, sometimes an "[object]" message was shown instead of the correct message.
- BugFix: On full screen, all tool tips in main panel and tool box were showing in the wrong position.
- BugFix: When sending gifts to friends, an arrow was showing on top of the selected gifts even if it was not an animal.
- BugFix: Unable to unload a train due to no fuel available.
- BugFix: When using the sprinklers manually going farm to farm, sometimes the sprinkler got stuck and you were not able to change tools.
- BugFix: When selecting a gift to send to your friends, you can now use the "Proceed to Send" button at the bottom and the next screen will automatically scroll to the top.
- BugFix: When working as a Super Neighbour with the "design/allow selling with my coins" permission granted, the buy one/multiple options are now available again.
- BugFix: Clicking on the "Multi" button in Item Storage/Giftbox sometimes triggered the Single Use instead of the Multiplanter functionality.
- BugFix: When visiting strangers, the size of their farms were incorrect.

Known Issues

- Visibility issues with coconut trees
- Some users are experiencing issues when sending gifts or boosting trains using Internet Explorer or Edge browsers. We have created a bug report with facebook and we are awaiting response from them.

Note: The Scandinavian Restaurant is coming early next week.

Noticed today that one of my flower farms has strips of flowers missing. I don't known which kind of flower it is because I can't see it. If I turn flowers off and back on, I can see where the flowers are, but can't see the flowers themselves. Just harvested someone's farm from the market and had the same problem (two patches of flowers not visible). I lost the bonus on both farms because I could not see the flowers to harvest them, though the harvest tool could see them. Don't know if this has been reported so am going so now. Thanks.

That would be because they didn't download to your computer so you can't see them. Try clearing your browser cache and see if they come back.

Thought all these changes were supposed to help speed up screen loading, mine takes ages sometimes even longer than before, it's loading in every different item and no i haven't cleared the cache which they said would make it so that the screen had to load everything in again

I just was working a farm for someone out of the market place (not a neighbor or on my buddy list, which is kind of useless now). I was not getting the bonus for my work and I don't know why. Is anyone else having this problem. The same lady worked for me yesterday and she got the bonuses for her work and I was trying to return the favor. .......I was under the impression that all of the recent problems had been fixed...........for several weeks i didn't plant because things kept disappearing and now the green patches are still there..............stuff keeps jumping around and what the hell is "rendering'............it take forever to get everything to appear on my farms and then it disappears when you mouse over them I waited patiently but ithis is getting a bit much..I've played since the beginning of Farm Town and it has never been this bad.................please fix it.......................

Which browser are you using please, and have you tried updating the flash player for that browser? If you are using Chrome please check see if that needs updating.

When I go through my facility manager to check what is missing for a year-run of production it's saying I am missing 1463 Cods and that I have 112297 in stock but when I go to my Warehouse under harvest & Products with the Fish tab it says I don't have any in stock. I don't know if it could be the same for other products didn't notice other thing like that for others

All my farms are working well. Takes a bit longer to load and I'm clearing memcache every 4 - 8 farms, depending how much work is being done. I'm on an every-other-day schedule - one day I just harvest trees and fish, plus do a few short-term crops. The next day I do everything. This schedule has worked well for me. I'm still seeing a few random lines, but nothing distracting like it was. Thanks to the devs, moderators, and all who work so hard to make the game stay interesting. I've been playing since the beginning and there are so many things that have changed for the better in the last 6 years. Or is it 7 now? Pat yourselves on the back. We're with you. :)

Now Cod in English should read MORUE in French but in the game the translation read TRACTEUR ROUGE. Sorry of having bother you with that I had forget about the translation problem. Most of the flower shop products are called "expand your farm to X x X" - adds a bit of extra fun to CQs - but the names in the little green help/info question mark is usually the correct one :)

I have 1 day crops that were planted about 6:15am yesterday that still have an hour to go before harvest (it's 8:10am right now) and my Quests still have 7.8 hrs to go and they should be ready in an hour or so. Also just noticed that my small seacoasts aren't ready yet either. Anyone else having that problem.

Please check your computer's date and time. The game runs off your date and time, so if this is wrong then your crops and other things timing would be off. If you planted a 1 day crop at 6:15 AM yesterday it should have been ready at 2:15 AM today as a Farm Town day is only 20 hours.

Unless my computer time has been off since day one I would disagree and I say this because I have been getting my quests every 20 hrs since they started. Today they will be late by hours as well as my ponds and harvests. My time and date have been correct (I have a 1yr old MacBook Air) for as long as I've owned the computer. What else could be going on

The dates and times you see in the forums depends on what time zone you set in your settings here. Doesn't have anything to do with the game. I do not know why your times are not correct if your month, day, year and time are correct on your computer then the times on your crops and quests should be correct.
Edit: According to your data the last co-op quest you opened was started at 10:15:31 AM Eastern time. That means at 20:15 (8:15 PM) eastern tonight you should be able to open a new one.

I haven't seen it on mine yet. We do have the Facebook Chat down at the bottom right, but that is only with your Facebook friends.

Here is where it is while in FB games. I hovered over the ball beside the Send button and it says "Messages are visible to people who play Farm Town." So whatever Facebook game you are in, you only get the live chats of people playing that particular game. Good thing is it has a turn off switch!

I dont have it but it seems to be in the upper right corner of the game screen, below of " suggested games". We think it is a new Facebook change but not all users have it yet.

As far as we know, it is for all games and users are using it to get neighbors, so we can only suggest to not give any information (email address, sensitive information etc) as you will leave yourselves open to spamming.

Is your train dispatched? If so you'll need to wait until your train is back and then unload your train. You can not move the trains or carriages while it is dispatched.

If this is not the problem please supply a link to your farm that has the trains on it. Instructions, if you need them can be found........

If it is in the right column it is not coming from Farm Town. That is Facebook territory.

It is coming on mine too but I was able to hide it.. just click on the little green sliding button on the top and its gone, the line that says Live Chat still there but you won't be able to see all the chat... I think that is an invasion of privacy on FaceBook side of the spectrum.. people don't even know they are live for everyone to see what they are chatting about, to me that is a No-NO...

They don't see mine and I can't see theirs. Tree shadowing when harvesting, stays until a new set is harvested. Farm is centering at top of screen while loading and then pops into place. You can see them int he Show Farmtown Wall Requests in the My Requests tab. How many you get in your newsfeed is something you will have to take up with Facebook as they seem to know more what we want to see in the newsfeed than we do.

I do have a problem when going on the FARM TOWN WALL REQUEST. There is no name appearing beside the avatar's names. I'm with google chrome on FT mainframe WF4

Not sure what has happened, BUT 6 of my neighbors have complained about collecting gifts, getting to their farms, and finding almost half of them did not make it from the My request section the the play section. Is there a new bug where we should not be collecting gifts now?

Are we sure the DoS issues have been resolved? It's been almost impossible to play the game since about yesterday. Takes forever to load in the first place, at least a half hour to get the "Pending Changes Saved" message after harvesting a farm, FB dialogs for help with facilities never loads -- just get the "Loading" banner. Accepting gifts seems to be okay, but sending them is a nightmare.

I've cleared the memcache, but I *really* don't want to have to clear the cache again -- it takes about a day to recover from that on dial-up.

Are you a super neighbor for the friend you are trying to work for? If so are you getting a tool in hand instead of the pop up to work?

For your gift box I see 6 items in it (hardly full but not empty). I see 5 farm cash gift cards and 1 meat. Those few items shouldn't stop you from being able to add more to it though. Please try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close it and your farm. Reopen and check gift box again.

Any of the train cars for coins except the empty and loaded hopper cars have the 6 directions. Those 2 cars only have 2 directions.

Hi Taz D, these are not Super Neighbors. This happens from the Wall Requests and from postings on the Home Page as well as Posting Groups. I have tried going to the friend's farm in their Timeline .....the same problem occurs. Often times I am not able to work any of the friend's postings.

I have not been playing Farm Town for the past few months, but only to come back to play this again a few days ago, and I'll have to say the farms are definitely loading a lot faster. I bought several factories as well which are easy to load. Congrats on the new factories and the hard work!!!!

Thank you!!! Farm Town has been one long standing game here in Facebook. I, myself, have left several times, but had always come back. I'm sure other players will come back eventually. I have to build up my crops and supplies again since I had sold out my stock before I left. Still pretty much the same though. I can see a few new factories and facilities. A few more people in the people section. I can say it's still a very good game to pass the time. I don't like those new games that prompts me on every move I make, they might as well play the games by themselves if the game doesn't need me to think, plan, and prepare.

I'm not certain how many people we can sent our gifts to everyday. It used to be 60, and that's only cover perhaps 1/4 or 1/3 of my neighbours. However, I've always made my gifts sent to "All Farmers" since that choice is available. I hope many friends are receiving my gifts everyday.

It has always been like this, but its annoying for both parts. So I hope you will try to fix this somehow.

How come now that when i help i need to go to 7th farms and the next 8-10 the mayor will help.. instead of lessen the farms i need to travel if added up? 5 trains is no joke regarding fc + 1 in another farm ( i have 16 trains all in all dispatched)

The amount the mayor works past 10 cars doesn't change untill you have 2 trains with 10 cars each and then you land on the first farm and the mayor does all the rest. With the 10 cars the mayor works all but you have to go to each farm up to the last 30 - 40% so it varies with how many facilities are on each farm. Maybe you changed which farms you were going to or they changed/added facilities so instead of 7 - 10 then he worked 8 - 10.

When they added the train cars helping with the work. The first thing they did was to make it so the mayor did 50% for everyone even if you didn't have any train cars. So you start at 50% and each car added increased that 5%. S0 10 cars at 5% plus the 50% the mayor was already working takes it to 100% The only thing was you had to go to the farms until the amount left is between 30 - 40%. The amount varies. Adding train cars beyond 10 does nothing until you have 2 trains with 10 cars each.

I don't know why it would change but it was not because of adding more cars to your train. Any cars beyond 10 until you get 2 trains going with at least 10 cars each, does nothing more because you can't get over the 100% it already is at. Again you need to go to 60 -70% of the farms and that is variable. If she added the new facilities from this release then that could have changed it, but adding additional cars would not change it.

Hi Thunders Storm,
It only counts up to 10 cars. The other 5 or 6 do not count. When you go to work, are you having to click on individual facilities? No, because the mayor does 100% of the facilities on a farm. The only thing you have to do is go to the farm. If it was subtracting the percentage then you would have to be clicking on individual facilities to complete them.
This is from the Game Guide chapeter on Trains:
The Mayor will work 50% of your neighbors facilities for free. Each train car you have on your dispatched train will increase the amount worked by the Mayor by 5%, If you own 10 cars, then the Mayor will work ALL facilities for you.

If you have 2 or more trains dispatched with 10 freight cars on each train the Mayor will complete all farms for you without you needing to navigate to each farm. If you do not meet this requirement then the Mayor will still help you with 25 - 40% of the workable farms only when there are at least 3 workable farms

So additional cars beyond 10 do nothing for working facilities until you go to 2 trains with 10 cars each.

d) The operation of the chainsaw now works the same as the tree shaker and the flower harvester in the way that your mouse don't have to be on top of a ready to chop item to chop the next set of items.

I have been waiting for this for a LONG time! Can't wait for the farm to load so I can try it out! My choppy trees sometimes wait a long, long time for me to get to them, just because of the accuracy required. Yay! Thank you! :-)

- Last Year's Holiday Items
- Buying trees from the store now works like buying flowers, you can keep buying the same tree repeatedly without re-opening the store or using the Buy Multiple option in the item menu

- More consistency and optimizations for farming tools:
a) Remove progress bars from seeder, combines and plower
b) When plowing new fields on the grass there is no transparency and the real fields appears quickly
c) The operation of the harvester now works the same as the combines, plower and seeder, in the way that your mouse don't have to be on top of a ready to harvest item to harvest the next set of items
d) The operation of the chainsaw now works the same as the tree shaker and the flower harvester in the way that your mouse don't have to be on top of a ready to chop item to chop the next set of items

I dont have it but it seems to be in the upper right corner of the game screen, below of " suggested games". We think it is a new Facebook change but not all users have it yet.

As far as we know, it is for all games and users are using it to get neighbors, so we can only suggest to not give any information (email address, sensitive information etc) as you will leave yourselves open to spamming.

I'm another one getting "this job invitation has expired" when I try to work a neighbor's facilities from my wall requests, despite it was posted within an hour before, and I know I haven't worked their facilities since, at least, yesterday.

The neighbor's service facilities worked from the wall requests.

And this has been going on, off and on, for a week or 2. Some requests worked, anyway.

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally the chainsaw works like the tree shaker!!!!!!! You guys/gals/devs are awesome! And being able to buy multiple trees without extra clicks! Early Christmas for me!

Has anyone else noticed lately that Farm Town constantly uses your Internet bandwidth, even when doing nothing at all in your farms? It's a constant 40kbps usage, that just sucks up bandwidth apparently for no good reason. It didn't use to do this until recently. What's up with that?

I am not sure how you determined this as Farm Town does go through Facebook and Facebook is constantly updating too. I haven't seen any difference in the amount being used by Farm Town. It does however have to keep everything running as long as you have your farm connected even if you aren't doing anything on your farms and Farm Town has grown quite a bit over the years.

- 29 Holiday Decorations: 5 as gifts, 14 at top of the Holiday category in the store, 6 at the bottom and 4 Winter items close to the bottom in the Winter category (Woman Skiing, Kids on Snow Sled, Man with Snow Shovel and Wooden Sled).
- Removed the "Freeze/Unfreeze while Farming" avatar menu option, it's now defaulted to 'Freeze while Farming' to all players to increase performance.
- More speed optimizations for crop tools, transplanter and multiplanter.

I am not sure how you determined this as Farm Town does go through Facebook and Facebook is constantly updating too. I haven't seen any difference in the amount being used by Farm Town. It does however have to keep everything running as long as you have your farm connected even if you aren't doing anything on your farms and Farm Town has grown quite a bit over the years.

If you are monitoring the Facebook IP and open Farm Town then you have added 3 more servers adding to bandwidth usage. Has Farm Town increased the data flow between you and the servers? It is possible but I certainly haven't noticed any difference in what I can have open simultaneously nor any slowdown caused by it.

Been playing FT since 2009 and could play all day long. Not anymore. FT sucks up data usage like mad, and I'm lucky just to get my crops done. I play with everything off except for my trees, flowers and crops and play offline. Anything else can you suggest to get the data usage down?

It's a new FB addition which not everyone has got yet. It's called LIVE CHAT and appears in the column to the right of your game screen.

So maybe all these data usage and bandwidth issues would explain why I can't work some farms (facs and clients)? The farms open, but nothing to start the work. This is random. Not every farm does this. I've reloaded, cleared memcache, etc. and no difference. FB needs more testing before they release some new thing. I agree that we should be able to close the chat window and get more bandwidth. Just my observations tonight. Keep up the good work. All in all, things are working well.

Please try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close it and your farm. Reopen and try again.

Thanks for all the updates! Wanted to ask if the game is having problems tonight. I tried to work neighbors' facilities and after the first one, nothing happened when I clicked on the links and arrived at their farms. In the market, I was hired for two jobs and when arriving at their farms, my tool chest was completely empty. I was able to plant my own farms later, but now can't get the facilities manager to open. Seems like there are a lot of problems tonight. Did not notice what server I was on, but I've tried Chrome, Torch and Comodo browsers and having issues with all of them.

This finally answers many questions for me. I disabled the chat as soon as it showed up because I knew it would cause problems with my connection. So I didn't understand why I still had odd network activity when playing FT, even if FT wasn't doing anything. I chalked it up to all of the updates to fix the game -- that they were still downloading even after the farm had rendered. As soon as I would close the FT window, the network activity would disappear.

Has FB responded to the bug report? This is the first night I've been able to work through my farms without having to constantly close the window, wait for the network activity to stop, and restart FT. Otherwise, I would get constant "lost the connection -- retry" windows. At one point, I left a farm to "save" all night, and the next morning it still wasn't done. Tonight, in comparison, was a breeze. I really hope it's because FB has fixed the problem, and it wasn't just a glitch in their chat, which might raise it's ugly head again.

Thanks for the info on this. I thought i was losing my mind!

Now if they would just do something about the game feeds. Whatever changes they made (which FT devs have worked around) my news feed on my phone is filled with FT game requests. I don't mind it so much, but there's nothing I can do about them on my phone, and was always happy that they didn't show up there -- until a week or two ago.

Ah, yes, that would explain it. I disabled chat when it first came out, but I naively expected that Facebook would disable all the **** traffic that went along with it. Silly me for expecting a multi-billion dollar tech company would know how to code a simple "close".

Yes it is part of the problem, however I think it is a piling on of a problem, as it relates to IE, that was created when Windows 10 was released. Windows changed how websites are handled on your computer by managing memory on youe hard drive and not in RAM. It is creating huge data files for some websites, Farmtown being one of them.

the new big Christmas tree with lights has a problem--it decorates beautifully until you try to "top" it with an ornament, bow, or bells. They go behind it and you can't see them. The rest of the Holiday items are great. One request - maybe for next year - an Angel tree topper, and bigger stars.

The time to harvest is somehow wrong. Yesterday morning my 5 day trees said 21.3 hours to harvest, this morning it says 15.6 hours to harvest. I have 28 fields of Chia that said 12.7 hours yesterday morning and say 4.6 hours this morning. I fished yesterday morning and in the afternoon and this morning I can fish at all. Is there something going on or is it just my farm. Thanks.

Are you trying to work from Wall requests? If so, please try to go to your friends timeline or to Newsfeed and check if you are able to work.

Please try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close it and your farm, then reopen your farm and try again.

For the other request saying ops... please read the following

Working Neighbors Facilities: This is to explain the time between working a neighbours facilities before you can rework that same post again. To simplify the answer it was originally stated that you had to wait a day.

Notice that if you spend at least 8 straight hours in a day without playing farmtown (when you sleep, eat breakfast, etc, most people will fall in this category) then you will in fact be able to work your friends facilities at least once per day. If you want to work them say twice per day, you will have to work them all say in the morning, 9AM, and then do not work anymore facilities until after 5 PM, after that time you will be able to work them all again. The key point is that you will be able to work ALL your friends facilities after 8 hours has passed since the LAST facilities you worked. Basically what this is saying is that after you have worked a neighbours facility there must be a gap of 8 hours, where you do not work any facilities, before you can work the neighbours facility again.

We have let the developers know about some farmers are having problems while working their friends factories.

Well I am having trouble with my green hand, I want to put something somewhere else and it shows green space so I know I can put there, when I go with the hand its red and it won't let me move the tree, I have 70 banana trees that I want to plant and can't because when I go with my bunch of bananas the square is red.. before if you moved one of the trees with the green hand when you went to plant all was ok. now it only shows red and cannot plant anything.. anybody else with this problem?

I thought all these fixes were supposed to speed things up, its like watching paint dry when getting onto your farm everything is so slow at loading then when you finally get onto the farm it then says its preparing for display and takes forever again, even slower than it has been in a long time, and yes i have cleared cache and everything else am supposed to do, but its still as slow as a snail

Hi Brenda,
According to what Raul release you should not be clearing your cache as that will slow down the loading. The reason is more of your game is stored on your computer now.
Post-Release Updates - November 21th, 1:00AM
- Farm Loading optimizations, farms should in general load up to 25% faster. This is assuming that most of your game items are cached by your browser. A note on this, clearing your browser cache should be done only when necessary, for example, when Farmtown doesn't load correctly or extreme cases like that, usually it is not needed, and the downside is that every time you clear your browser cache you have to reload all the items to your computer which takes time, specially on slower connections, and every time you visit farms with items that are not cached you will have to wait extra time. Clearing memcache is fine and doesn't have any downsides, memcache is cleared automatically after 3 hours of inactivity.

I'm not entirely sure I'm understanding what you've posted but. . .

If the numbers in green are the ones that are showing work to be done. . When you click on "show names" in the farm grid, then "show work info" it will also show farms that have not been seeded yet. This is being worked on.

Could that explain you are seeing?

Hi Texas Belle,

I've been testing the green hand for you and can find no problems with it. The only time the footprint of the banana tree turned red was when there was something else in the way. Please make sure you have everything turned on in your game settings, reload then try moving those trees again.

Yes, if I turn the chat area on, the bandwidth starts getting used (as expected). Looks like they fixed it properly, so they stop the bandwidth usage if you turn chat off.

You may want to double check for any seasonal items. If there are any on the farm with which you are having problems, they will be in the way whether they are on or not. So you will have to turn them on in the Preference Menu and move any that are in the way, turn them off again and then refresh the game. This is why I only have seasonal items on 1 or 2 of my farms. They have not behaved as I have expected for years.

When I went to check on gifts that had been sent to me this morning there was nothing there. I always have about 30 or 40 first thing in the morning. Also when I try to send gifts when it gets to the last window (the one with "done" in the bottom right corner) it is blank, just a white screen with done in the bottom right corner. Cleared memcache and tried it on chrome and fire fox with the same results. I am also getting "We could not find any friend asking for help in your News Feed Wall" on the farm town wall requests tab.

I only clear my cache when necessary, I just find that loading of Farmtown takes ages and then when you finally get to the farm it then sits there saying its preparing for display and then takes ages again, its also like when I go to someones farm to fish every single fish is loaded in and more often than not I have finished fishing before it finally finishes loading all the fish, takes about 5 minutes to load all the fish into it, certainly not quicker than it was before

Suddenly the My Requests tab has gone blank and the sending gifts is no longer possible because no one is listed. As a matter of fact, the notice about my having 1400+ friends who are playing Farm Town and the choices of how to list friends are gone as well. And the pictures of my neighbors are also not loading when opening the game. This is so in Opera and Chrome. I have already tried closing both browsers and re-opening them after clearing FT cache and Adobe settings already failed to correct these issues. I even tried logging into a friend's account and the same exact thing happened.

It was a temporary glitch that occurred for only about 35 minutes or so. By the time you saw my post the issue had corrected itself. And the neighbors' pictures not loading was part of the SAME glitch so that too fixed itself. :) You may have noticed I've deleted the post to which you refer (and that I do not end sentences in a preposition. I are a college graduate! :p )

I have been having problems since this release. I was switched to WF5. Most of the time I get constant delays and server time-outs. I have tried all my browsers, cleaned caches, deleted browser history, used the memcache cleaner... Sometimes, once it connects, I cannot do one thing before it is nonresponsive again...this includes trying to open quests, trying to look at neighbor quests, change farms, and any harvest/fish functions. Then, after a number of reloads it will suddenly be working and every function works at lightening speed again. I am not having any shockwave problems (have latest version). It is only server issues. As soon as I click I get the message "Saving Farmtown data" then sometimes after 3 or 4 minutes it will continue doing what I asked or I will get the "Connection to server timed out:" with the options to reload or retry. If I retry it will connect sometimes after a long pause, then as soon as I click again on a function, it goes back to "Saving Farmtown data". Reloading usually does not help either. I have been trying off and on for 3 hours with no improvement. PS: I check with some friends and they are having no problems on other servers regardless of the browser they are using. In addition when working facilities, I notice I go in on other servers and things work normally, without server timeouts.

You should not see the black box loading anything when harvesting or fishing now. That was changed just recently. Make sure you have the preference to Show feedback when farming unchecked.
Every time you clear your browser cache then open your farm it will take a long time because it has to down load all the graphics data again.

I'm not entirely sure I'm understanding what you've posted but. . .

If the numbers in green are the ones that are showing work to be done. . When you click on "show names" in the farm grid, then "show work info" it will also show farms that have not been seeded yet. This is being worked on.

Could that explain you are seeing?

Check your Chrome plugins because it has it's own built in Flash. Make sure that it is enabled.

That is possible. Try uninstalling it and see if you can go to the site (in another browser) and download the latest non-beta version. If you can't do it yourself then get some help locally, because that is n't something we can help with from here.

Ever since FB started the chat thing, My browser is Freezing up an is so bad it is locking my computer up an I have to do a ctrl alt del to get out of FT an FB! It is getting worse! I turned off the chat thing in FT but it is NOT helping at all, my home page is messing up also due to this cause it shows posts with a 'circle' in the middle as if its trying to load an NO way to turn those off!!!

PLUS in FT every time I get in I see a black box that shows loading up to 25% an finally closes after a while, It happens every time I switch farms. This is a new thing also. When I switch from one farm to another it is all GREEN until the farm finally loads, that is also New.

Are these all the stuff developers have done trying to fix things? It has gotten so bad now I am taking a break till the Chat thing gets fixed cause its not good to have to reboot my computer just to play FT.

Clearing your cache all the time is causing part of your problems. Everytime you clear your cache unnecessarily then Farm Town must reload to your browser all of those graphics which slows down the loading. Facebook has made it so the chat will not continue pushing data down when you have turned it off. That was fixed after Farm Town turned in a bug report to them. If your Facebook home page is having trouble loading then you need to talk to Facebook because there is nothing Farm Town can do to help with that.

Clear your memcache only and leave the browser cache alone. That will help. And as Petuniaflower said it wouldn't hurt to clean up your computer.

I also TRY to drag the farm a little to plant in different spot but it keeps on moving way past farm so have to keep trying to move it back ...... It is sort of same problem when a while back flash did update and made it hard to play, FT fixed it but in some ways since flash did another update it is happening again :(

You can't just blame farmtown for everything that goes wrong as there are so many other reasons and people need to be proactive and not play the "I am not computer literate" card and actually take steps to learn how to do these simple things.. buy a book, borrow one from the Library, take a class.. all will help..

Are you possibly playing from a laptop with a touchpad or using a wireless mouse? If you are using a wireless mouse try changing the battery.
If you are on a laptop with a touchpad, try to find the control panel settings for that and lower the sensitivity.

second this, thanks! everyone's set-up is unique and I think most people don't realize that. a solution that works for one may not work for the other and the game developers cannot help everyone with their fixes, especially after FB screws things up! if you don't want to or can't work on your own machine, find a good computer shop and get to know they guys working there. A general tune-up, cleaning, malware removal, or additional hardware addition or upgrade is a big part of their business, not just fixing problems. :)

I've been testing the green hand for you and can find no problems with it. The only time the footprint of the banana tree turned red was when there was something else in the way. Please make sure you have everything turned on in your game settings, reload then try moving those trees again.
