I love the game and think the developers are amazing. It's a very player friendly game. I really love that we can have a status when we click on our avatar. I have red people all the time now. lol
I do hope for some changes in how the ships work someday. I have decided to turn mine off indefinitely unless they get a make over. It's very irritating that we can't take non shippers off our itinerary, that # 30 can't be skipped, and that we're allowed to replace our itinerary so many times before we're stuck with whoever is on it (that can be a nightmare!). I've tried using last itinerary...hahaha i will never make THAT mistake again. Anyway, I want to turn my computer off when I go to bed but I have to leave it on to check my stupid ships through out the night. I hate the ships with a passion and will never do them again unless they become, better like the trains, for example. The trains are no problem.

I moved your post to theHelp & Support thread about the cargo ships to answer you.
You can change your itinerary in the log book and set it to one that works for you. When you are preparing your containers for dispatching your ship for the day, you can replace up to 10 ports. You can also move any of them around that you need to during this time. That means in 3 days time you can replace your entire log book.
If you replace the first ten on day one and get them where you want them in the log book, finish loading your containers and dispatch your ship. I would suggest that at least one of the onesa you replace or move be someone you know plays daily and you know will be able to do your ships in the 30 position, so your ship does not get stuck for days.

When you start preparing your next ship on the second day, click on the Reuse Last Itinerary in the Log book tab. That will show you exactly the log book you set up the day before. Then you replace and move an additional 10 to get them where you want them.
Then when you start the 3rd day's ship you complete replacing any you have left that you think you need to. And every day after when you start your next ship preparation you click on the Reuse Last Itinirary. That way you keep the same group for your ports.
You should not have to leave your computer on to check on your ships at night. Once you get 7 ships in a row dispatched then the times for preparation will be short enough that it will only take a short time to prepare and dispatch them.
If you want to make a suggestion for changing how the ships work please post it in the Suggestions section and not in the General Feedback section.You can not start a new thread in that section, but you can reply to an existing thread that fits your suggestion. Before you do though I hope you try what I have listed above to get your ships working properly.

But I do not get the "Load Ship" for Any Ship? Why did I buy them if they don't work to load ships?

Hi Linda,
I have looked at your data and only see 3 of the overhead cranes in your storage. You own the orange, green and purple ones. I do not see anywhere that you have bought the blue one. You do have to be trying to load those 3 colors of ships for your neighbors to see the Load Ship button.

If you are not seeing that on those ccolor of ship then try taking that color of crane out of your store=age, putting it on a farm, then click save and close and reopen your farms. Then put it back in your storage and see if the Load Ship is there for that color ship now.

Why can't I load a ship that's on it's last stop? I currently have a ship sitting in someone's port for two days now, and thanks to timing, it can sit there for another whole day.

Hi Anna Walls,
I moved your post from Suggestions to answer you, because you are not making a suggestion, but iare asking a question.
You can not load or skip the last port as that is the rule that the developers set when they started the cargo ships. The only thing I can suggest is when you are preparing future ships make sure you have someone as the last port who is reliably on and playing to be able to get through that port in a timely manner without a long delay.
If you want to make a suggestion to change this please do not put it in the form of a question.

Thanks very much for your helpful response Taz. Oh, I didn't mean I leave my computer on so I can check on my own ships, I meant I leave it on so I can click on others ships who are waiting at my port. People tend to get upset if you take too long to click on their ships. I will try all that you suggested and see if that works. It will not get corrected the way you want it in one ship. You can only replace 10 ports. That means you will have to Use the last Itinerary a couple times in a row and make the changes in it getting it set the way you want. Then continue using that for those to stay in the proper place.

Is there a way to speed up ships. I have a list of the farmers that work mine and it is a cumbersome process to get them selected. Even using previous list which I swear always sticks in a slow person so I check against my list.
That said, I have noticed that ships do not appear to progress except very slowly. I started one ship the day before and the next day it had only moved one person over and the last two people had worked theirs in less than 5 minutes.
I have only noticed them being slow the last two weeks. Is there a problem? It has never taken all my ships so long to make it to port.

I moved your post to the Help & Support thread about cargo ships so I could answer you.. The only way to move your ships along fast is with the Overhead cranes. Having those allows you to self load a certain number of times for each ship type.
Other than that it depends on your neighbors loading them in a timely manner. The only problem would be them not loading the ships. There isn't anything the game can do to move them faster.

Yes the ships will work in storage, as once you have bought them they stay active.

Hi, I have my ships turned off as I am not on enough to move others ships in good time. A couple of months ago I switched them on because of all the 'passes' that required me to move ships, however this became tedious so I switched them off again around 4 weeks ago. I have one persons ships that still keeps turning up, I have checked and it is definately turned off, I ignore the ships when they are there, but still they come in regularly, how can I sort this please?

Even though you turn your port off and do not want to do them if those players have you in their log book they will still show up. You can either talk to them to get them to remove you from their list or ignore those ships and they will eventually realize you aren't doing them.

Hi Poof,
All that list tells you is all of those neighbors & buddies that have their port enabled. It doesn't tell you who are actively working ships.

I have a question.
On the cargo ships and calculating how many coins are earned when loading others' ships.

The million coins are earned only if I am the first port, load 10 containers, within the first hour, correct?
How many coins are earned if I'm the second port, load 10 containers, within the first hour?
How many coins does it decrease for the third port, fourth port and etc?

I'm just curious. Sometimes I load someone's ship with 10 containers within the first hour but only receive 800,000 coins.

I do not have a problem, but I do have a question regarding ships... I'm going to be gone from the game for only 2 days. I have my account name indicating I will be gone on the specific dates to let people know.

If I close down my ports, does it automatically reset to the longest times (such as 45 mins) when I sign back on? OR does it go to the slightly shorter time as if I have only missed the two days (even though I had turned off the ports)?

I'm considering just going red so I don't lose all the times if it auto-resets, since I will also have my avatar name clearly stating I am away for two days (including the red that I will place on myself). But if it doesn't auto-reset, I'll probably turn off the ports so I don't mess people up.

Thoughts?

Missing a couple of days will only reduce your time by 2 days worth. The shortest time is if you have dispatched 7 ships in 7 days, As you'll have done 5 days, your times will be about 13 to 18 minutes depending on the color of the ship. No point in closing your port for 2 days in my opinion, i would personally just mark myself as unavailable.

After I prepare my ship, I am unable to dispatch it - clicking on "dispatch ship" does not do anything. I am using the Microsoft Edge browser, but I also tried in on an Android phone platform, and couldn't get it to dispatch with that either.

I moved your post to the thread about cargo ships.
From what I see your yellow ship that you prepared you took longer than 24 hours to prepare. If that is the case then you can't dispatch it.because it resets to not done. You only have 24 hours exactly to prepare your containers and dispatch the ship. When you go beyond the 24 hours then the ship is no longer loaded and you can't dispatch an empty ship.

Now that the Train menu will remember what the last choice was, I'm hoping that the ship logbook will get the choice as to remembering the last list that was used automatically instead of the random people and then choosing the last list that was used. It would really be helpful in case we forget to change it. I hope I'm using the correct terms since I can't access the list now. Thank you.

I have copied your post to the Ships thread in Help & Support to answer you but the original post is still in Suggestion Section.

When you ask for boosts you have 10 different lists to choose from.
What it is remembered is the name of the list, for example "Recently boosted by me" list. BUT, you need to click in every farmer in that list to send the boost requests.

For ships, clicking in Reuse Last Itinerary also gives you the last list you used and you do not have to click in every farmer to send a request.
BUT, it allows you to change some of them if you think they are not fast loading your ship, or change places if they are or are not on line or if you see their port is closed.

From what I see in your account data your yellow ship has only been in preperation for 6 minutes from 2024-08-01 7:27 to 7:32 eastern time. There isn't any way it could be completed.

Yes, when I saw that it hadn't dispatched, I started it all over again. :(

Is there a reason why it would look like it had started loading, but it hadn't?

If you don't complete the loading in the 24 hours allotted for that then it will have to be started over.

Well, I did start it today and it looked like it was loading. It even showed that loading was complete on all containers. It just couldn't be dispatched.

No worries. I just finished loading it and it's sent. :)

Started preparation on my Pink ship, and the first one showed 4.8 mins as expected. After 3 or 4 containers, it suddenly jumped to 9.6 mins.

Any ideas?

Ships only stay on the dispatch list for exactly 7 days then they drop off the list.

If the preparation time changed while you were preparing containers, this is because the time is calculated according to how many ships you had previously dispatched in the last 7 days. For example if you had dispatched 6 ships in the last 7 days and were preparing your Brown ship, the prep time would be 5.1 minutes, but if while you were preparing them one of those ships dropped from the list for being over 7 days old you would then change to a prep time of 5 dispatched ships, 10.2 minutes.

I understand that, but I have dispatched a ship every single day for months.

I rarely have more than 5 ships dispatched at any one time - my neighbours move them on reasonably quickly. So in 7 days I will have likely despatched the same colour ship twice.

This doubling the container loading time during preparation has never ever happened before.

At the botton of that information you have: Sure, let me see them.

Click in that and you will see the dates and times for your ships dispatched in the last 7 days.

i now have 5 screenshots showing the problem... Started preparation at 4.5 mins, and is now on the 3rd contains showing 9 mins. The dispatched ships in the last 7 days is 6 all in the morning except that on 11th there is no despatch showing..

This means I am going to be punished for up to 7 days, or I have to despatch before 9.45am every day until the 18th August. A bit harsh!!

We have had a few reports about this issue through the years but it is not easy to determine why a dispatched ship is not getting into account.

When I have to close my port let say because I go for vacations, then when I go back, what I do to not spend so many time loading containers, is to only load one container and dispatch the ship. You could try the same if you wish, trying to dispatch your ship before other one drop off the list.

Also, if you wish, you can report this to Support. To contact them click on the link below, fill out the form and submit it. Please include all details about your problem so you can get help faster. Be patient as it can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days for them to respond to you depending on how many tickets they have ahead of yours.

Hi can you get my friends ships running properly again, they set themselves up and send off one ship unless you can catch them at the right time, they have been like this for more than a year USER ID number is: 1104761254 Build No: 636.
I am helping my friend i try to do the ships for her every day, she just does her own thing i hellp where she can't do things, if you can get them going again it would be great, it's got to the point where there difficult to do now. regards Peter for Angie

Hi there. I'm still having problems with the ships not dispatching after having the containers loaded.

I finished loading all 10 containers on my pink ship. When I went to dispatch the ship, the window turned pink, and the containers have "preparing container". They are counting down over and over. It says I have 22 hours and 30 minutes left to dispatch the ship. I can not click the dispatch button again.

I sent a ticket in to Support explaining the issue.

I waited a little while. I kept checking the window with the ship containers loading over and over. Then, the window closed. I thought all was lost. So, I clicked to open the pink ship and it was ready to dispatch. I clicked dispatch and it dispatched.

Hooray! Thanks for your patience. I'm not sure what happened, but I'm glad things worked out.

Hi iadiedee :)

For a port to be automatically skipped, the farmer has to close their port in their Preferences by unchecking the Enable ships option.

If they only set their status as unavailable then the port is not skipped.

This is the explanation from our Game Guide:

Mouseover a Port with a red background and you will see a tooltip with more information about how long they will be away for. For example it could show you This port is unavailable and will become operational in 4 days. They have not closed their Port, they might be expecting to be able to return to the game sooner than 4 days.

Remember that the pink background means that the farmer HAS disabled their port. They may not be participating with ships OR they may be away on a vacation for an extended time. Mouseover the Port and it will show you a tooltip saying This port is out of service. When the background colour is pink you may prefer to replace them with a port that is currently open.

Farmers that have set their status as unavailble are shown up in red when you click in Ships Logbook.

When we moved away from Facebook, I was told that Buddies would be able to fill in ports on our ships. Was I imagining that? I have someone who I thought was a buddy that was on my last few ships but when I went to prep this ship, he isn't available, and I know his port is open.

Hi VeraN :)

I'm not sure who told you that, but since we got the Ships feature they were only available to send to our neighbors.

You can send trains boosts to neighbors and buddies but ships are only for neighbors.

When you see a neighbor in red in your ship list, that means that person only set their status as unavailable but they didnt close their port.

Why do I keep getting a notification that my ships container has completed it's preparation when I don't even have a ship in preparation mode. This notification keeps popping up so many times. Even if my container is half way completed I keep getting this notification. It's driving me nuts....thanks :)

Hi Vivienne,
I moved your post to the thread about the cargo ships.
It happens sometimes if you complete the container befor e then notice shows up. It should only show the one time though.

If it is the same one showing multiple times or after the ship preparation has completed then try restarting your farms. If that doesn't stop it then try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.
If your farm is open close it. Then reopen and try again.

I have a question about loading the ship to get it to the next port. I have one friend who has 2 profiles. She's turned red since she's away but hasn't closed her ports. I can load the first one and can't load the second one right away. Why can't I load the second one and how long do I have to wait to load the second one? Thanks.

That depends on what ship it is. Each different color ship has different numbers of self loading and different times that you have to wait before you can self load the next one.

I have a friend with all 7 cargo ships. When she clicks on the toolbox then clicks on the seaport manager it will not let her see her ships status saying she doesn't own any ships. All her ships are on her farm 1. Her user ID # is: 1715790660. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes she owns all the ships. When you open the seaport manager it first shows any ships in your port waiting to be loaded under the My Seaport tab. If you do not have any ships waiting to be loaded then you get a message saying that. She may be thinking that is telling her she has no ships. She needs to change to the My Ships tab.

If it is anything beyond that then she needs to post in the forums here so we can work with her directly.

If she is not on the right tab then she won't see them. The My Ships tab has to be Orange.
She dispatched her purple ship this morning at 7:25 AM eastern time so it was working at least at that time. She also sent out her orange ship yesterday morning at 5:24 AM. So it has been working.
The rest of her ships are returned or idle.

Is it possible she has hidden her ships under My Ships tab?

Ask her to go to her My Ships tab and then click in the eye showing up to the right of My Ships.

Then if the ships show up, she has to add a check mark for every ship. Click the eye to save or click on the X to close the window.

According to your data you only have 4 ships dispatched in the last 7 days and you are preparing your Brown ship.

It could be that any of them was not registered properly in your data and/or they dropped off the list as 7 days had past for them.

I moved your post to the thread about the cargo ships.
Are you talking about their ship being in your port? If so there isn't any way for you to do that. If you don't want to do their ships but want to do other's ships then you will have to talk to them to get them to remove you from their logbook for their ships.

If you are talking about delelting them from the ports your ship goes to then you will have to wait until you are loading your next ship and during that you can replace them with someone else through the Ships Logbook.

I am working on loading the pink cargo ship and it is telling me it is 9.6 minutes to load the cargo containers, load the ships every day so i dont know why it is not 5 minutes or less.

Hi Tom C,
According to your data you only have 5 ships dispatched. That is why your times are higher. If you dispatched any for the 8th or 7th they are not showing. Yiu can check this yourself by clicking the small question mark in a box for a container while you are loading them. There is nothing we can do to change this.

It doesn't matter what ships are out. It is when they are dispatched.If they come back fast enough then it is possible for the same ship to show in that list multiple times. All that it is concerned with is how many ships you have dispatched in the past 7 days. There is a chart in the Game Guide chapter 32 about the ships showing the times for each type ship based on the number of ships you have dispatched in the past 7 days.

Hi Amanda,
It happens when your previously dispatched ships number drops, by a ship being removed from the list. Ships are only on that list for 7 days exactly to the second. When that 7 days is up then it is removed from the list so you have one less ship on the list and therefore the time for loading containers on the ship you are preparing goes up. You currently only have 5 ships on your list.

You can check this by clicking on the small question mark in the container you are loading currently. That will show you how many ships are listed and the eastern time they will drop 7 days after the date shown for each.

I have time limits before have to go out, this has only just started happening with the same ship I am doing the 1st ship now after going through the list till can dispatch, it changed time, it should not change how long, with same ship, very disappointing

I am sorry but that is the rule. Nothing has changed on this as it has always been that way from the beginning of the ships.

According to your data you still only have 5 ships oon the list. The oldest ship you have on the list is from the 17th at 3:47 eastern time. So on Sunday (the 24th) at 3:47 eastern time that ship will drop off the list.

Just because it hasn't happened to you before does not mean that it has changed. The time of preparation depends on how many ships you have dispatched in the last 7 days exactly and it aways has been that way.

Hi Palmarina :)

This happens when you send the ship but you don't get the pop up saying that container was loaded.
This can happen because you were working your farms or others farms and you just checked the ship to see if the container was completely loaded and then sent the ship.

This happened to me once and I know it is annoyed.

There is nothing you or us can do to solve that. You just need to prepare a new ship and send it. Just be sure you get the pop up for the last container you are preparing. If you do not get it, reload the game and it will show up.

This happens when you send the ship but you don't get the pop up saying that container was loaded.
This can happen because you were working your farms or others farms and you just checked the ship to see if the container was completely loaded and then sent the ship.

This happened to me once and I know it is annoyed.

Hi Lisa,
I moved your post to the thread about the cargo ships. You can disable your port in the preferences. Uncheck the box for "Enable Ships". Please note that also disables your own ships if you are sending any of them out. Be sure to click the green check mark after you change that.
You do have one ship out, so you might want to wait until it returns.

I have been going to my seaport and finding ships sitting there for 20 hours or more when they weren't showing 12 hours ago when I checked. Also I was notified by one of my neighbors that 2 of her ships were waiting for 2 days. I imagine that is why my ships sit for a long time at their ports. I am using the Slashkey website on my pc. :rolleyes:

Hi Mom Glenda,
I moved your post to the thread about the ships as this has nothing to do with the Tools.
You can not add or change anything in the logbook until you have started preparing that ship. Once you have a container being prepared then you can set the logbook to reuse itenerary and then replace or add names.

I am not sure I am understanding. I checked your data for the farm set connected to your forum account and you have 7 previously dispatched ships so should be able to prepare containers in the minimum amount of time.
You currently have 5 ships dispatched and at various ports. According to your data your purple ship was dispatched at 12:27 PM eastern time and is already at the 4th port.
Unless one of the 2 that are close to be finishing come back tomorrow then you will haver to start your orange one. It's minimum time per container is 5.8 minutes.
If this is not the farm set you are talking about and you have another set then you will need to provide the User ID for that set so we can check it.

That ship is already dispatched and was done so at 12:27 PM today and is already at the 8th port.

If you are not seeing that first try running the memcache and see if that fixes it.
Also check your computer's date and time and make sure that is correct. If it is not correct then it can show incorrect information as the game depends on the that date and time.

I am very UNHAPPY and EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED with the ship itinerary. I made the mistake of not choosing my last itinerary when dispatching my last ship. I didn't think it would be a problem because it says at the top of the screen that I can reorder or swap out the ports as needed. BUT it only let me change the 1st 12 ports and will NO LONGER allow me to change any of the other ports. WHY!?!!! I cleared the cache and rebooted, I even changed to a different computer with no luck. So I know it's not me. This frustrates me so much because I FINALLY had an itinerary of all my neighbors that responded to the ships in their port in a fairly timely manner and now that will be totally screwed up if I can't switch the list back to that group. :mad:

WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT THIS ISSUE?

Hi Pumpkin,
I moved your post to the Help & Support thread about the cargo ships. You are only allowed to replace 10 ports in your ship while you are preparing the ship. So to replace all of them will take you preparing 3 ships and making sure you click to reuse the previous itinerary when you start preparing the 2nd and 3rd ship.
I don't believe there is a limit on how many you can move within the itinerary, so if any of them are there that you still want you can move them to the position you want.

According to your ship data, you sent that ship abut 7:00AM this morning and it returned about 10:00AM. Times are eastern times.

No ports were skipped.

I moved your post to the thread about the ships. It just may be that you are not the port those neighbors ships are up to at the moment. You can try clearing your memcache and check again, but if none are available then there is nothing else that can be done.

Unfortunately you will have to wait for the ship to return after the 7 days are up. At the level you are in the game you need to have more neighbors to be able to use the ships right, so you can have 30 ports.

I don't know if it's a glitch or what, but sometimes I'll have a ship's screen on, and I'll be loading the containers one by one, but then at some point I'll X out of the screen, and when I do, I'll see the ship that I have 7 or 8 containers already loaded on it saying, "ready to prepare," and I have to start all over again from scratch. I own all seven cargo ships but only able to physically see the yellow one. I don't have issues on using them, all work great. I just can't physically see six of them on any of my farms. I checked my storage, and they are not in there. Is this normal?

If your farms are heavily layered then things like this can disappear. You can repurchase the ships as they are a coin item if you want them on your farms, but as you have already purchased them once you can use them all through the port manager. If you wish you can contact Support for a refund if you want to repurchase them.

Thank you very much for your explanation. I don't wish to repurchase the ships not showing. They are all working just fine, and I can live without seeing them. Just got a little worried it was going to snowball into other problems.

Which ship did youy do today? I am not sure what you mean by they all reverted back to 5.1 minutes. If it was the brown ship then the minimum time for those containers is 5.1 minutes.

What ship? Was it the brown one?
That is the ship I see dispatched today at 1:40 PM eastern time today and it has been through 10 ports so is working.
The only thing I can think of that would do that is if your computer date/time was incorrect as the game works using that time.

This is happening because your computer date/time is not correct. I have already told you that ship (Brown) is dispatched and is at least 1/3 of the way through the ports.

I do not need the ships and all the problems that go with them'
