I just want to say thank you to the Devs for all they've done to make the cargo ships a great asset to the game! The modification of being able to change the itinerary for ports visited makes all the difference and I am a very happy camper.. or should I say farmer. I also want to thank the moderators who manage to keep their cool when unhappy farmers complain to the point of being rude sometimes. I can't say enough good things about the people who make this game the best that it can be... You guys rock! :)
Totally agree. Best game EVER and our moderators definitely deserve an "I Kept My Cool" button they can wear. :)

So this morning, the list of people's ports in my Ship's Log doesn't show the icons. I cleared my cache and memcache and it's still that way. Hope it gets fixed before I have to launch the ship. I recognize most of my neighbors by picture more than by name so it's much harder to work with this way.
I did discover last night that you can keep changing your itinerary right up until launch so maybe it'll get fixed during the day. I wonder if it's a FB thing.

A couple of issues to report for your information 1) the negative number -1208 mins, was already there when I dispatched and didn't go away after it was sent on from that port. 2) Port Phantom says the ship arrived in port 22.3 hours ago, when actually it had just arrived... 22.3 hours ago was when I dispatched the ship.

Please try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.
If your farm is open close it. Then reopen and try again.

Also, check your date and time on your computer to make sure they are correct.
If those don't work please contact Support with this. To contact Support click on the link below, fill out the form and submit it. Be patient as it can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days for them to respond to you depending on how many tickets they have ahead of yours.

You will receive an automatic response email when you submit your ticket. That email will have your ticket number and a link for you to check the status of your ticket, so please do not delete that email. If you do not see the email then check your spam folder as sometimes those emails get classified as spam.

I think 30 neighbors is way to many but like them
I like them but think 30 neighbors is too many, people work and then there's vacation

I know the enable ships feature isn't available yet and it will disable both your ship and the port but what if you like collecting the coins but not the ships themselves. All you can say to that is not buy the ships. But what is you like doing the ships but not helping your neighbours move their ships along. Just curious x

I don't think your neighbors would be willing to move your ships along if you don't do the same for them.

I'll send them moving but not doing the ships. But most people don't like the ships come to their ports but do the ships. So if you disable the port you are going to disable your ship too

Yes that is correct. If you are not willing to load others ships then you can't send out your own ships. That is the only fair way.
As long as you are willing to load the ships for your neighbors then it is your option whether you want to do your own ships.

But if you won't want to do your own ships but willing to help your neighbours move their ships along. Just don't buy the ships yourself. Right?

just seeking some help here, in the updates for the ships, we are told we can replace up to 10 people... fine.. but I have just discovered that once you have done that... this choice is no longer available on the next ship you start to prepare.. the ships log shows Replace(0) so now with 111 neighbors in farmtown, I can no longer replace someone chosen by the game, takes away my choices.. so the only option left is to skip those who show on the ships log who you know are not prepared to move your ship... I thought we were going to be able to replace up to 10 on each ships log... :( On this ship I am preparing at the moment I have at least 6 people that need to be skipped.. tempted to just let the time run out for the prep and give up.

The replacement function is great, but could you display theyr real names instead of farm name? Without real names function has no value to me since I've got no chance remembering whos who based on farm name. Many have profile pictures not of them selves but a dog, a flower etc.
I have neighbours in different time zones and would like to adjust with replacement based on this, but now it's an impossible puzzle :) Hope you consider this

I just started preparing a new ship and I have 10 I can replace. This is the second ship I have prepared since the release of the Replacement capability.

I hope the Raul and crew consider making the ships an opt in option instead of an opt out. Reason being, if someone does not want to play ships, it will not matter to them if your ship sets in their port, just like they are doing now. They will have no incentive to opt out of the program and will continue to annoy those of us that do want to do the ship thing. I think the ships are great but understand not everyone likes them.

- BugFix: Reset the amount of changes allowed in the itinerary for a Ship every time you start the preparation of that ship. Let's say you made 10 replacements on your Yellow Ship, when the Yellow Ship returned and you started preparing it again, the amount of replacement allowed was incorrectly set to 0, this bug is now fixed moving forward for all ships starting preparation after the release of this fix.

This seems to have been the Owner's intentions re. these boats - to force us to enter the game more often. It may be good for their numbers but it's driving me away - and some others.
I'm also quite ill and will be away for some periods at a time and I don't like that I am unable, as a courtesy, to close my port. This is a neck hold on us, the players, being forced into doing something the Owner's want us to do.
that was my initial reaction, that the boat schtick was an attempt by slashkey to raise their player numbers, and thus raise their share of the advertising dollars on facebook. the more i think about it, the more true i think that thought.
unfortunately, they didn't consider how annoying the ships would be. i do hope they garner enough return players and newly seduced players to compensate for players like myself who are now too disgusted to pretend we are amused.

I just wanted to say thank you Devs for the ships...I, personally, don't need the extra products at this time but I do enjoy sending my neighbor's ships back "out to sea". It's an ingenious way of getting extra products to those players that don't have the extra cash to buy the trains and a few extra coins for me. Thanks for all you do for us

The sound toggle for my farm is broken. I can't get the sound to turn off... I switch it on and off and log off and on but the should just won't stop. Hope someone can fix it for me

Hover your mouse pointer over the speaker symbol. You will see a second box drop below the speaker. Make sure they are both red by clicking on them.

Went to prepare my green ship and it would not allow me to change the neighbors. Said I had 0 changes allowed. This is the pits. The neighbors/friends on the itinerary are mostly part time players so I guess that ship is a lost cause. Thought this was supposed to be fixed.

Hi Pnella,
Tiger answer your other post about this in the Help & Support thread about Cargo Ships. If the ship returned before the release of the fix then it was not fixed for that ship. It will be right the next time it comes back after you have sent it out without changes this time.

Waiting anxiously for the update that I hope will include the opt out of the boats.
Also hope they offer the service to sell the camera and other neat stuff that's currently showing up in my ',non-ingredients.

I hope that this really works; unfortunately, I can only hope that it does something positive to help us resolve issues with neighbors/ports/cargo ships.
Example - if this feature were implemented such that the 1st time you come to FarmTown after its implementation, you are "forced" to select either "enable" or "disable" your ports/ships. If "disable" is selected, then you are ineligible to be selected as a port by those of us choosing to use our cargo ships feature.
Does that make sense? I opened one of my ships this morning & discovered that it had been sitting at someone's port for "9 days"!?!?!?!?! I had previously stated that this Cargo Ship feature was too labor intensive - this is a good example of what I meant...I shouldn't have to be constantly checking on my Cargo Ships to see if they're getting loaded or sitting idle at someone's port...what we really need is some way to distinguish which neighbors are participating in the Cargo Ships & which ones are not so that we can speed up the process.

It is not possible for a ship to sit 9 days at 1 port as the maximum time out is 7 days. Your date and time on your computer had to be incorrect for it to show that much time. Please check that is correct and then check the ship again. If it still shows that try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.

OK - I think I just learned something...once the "UNLOAD" buttons turns blue, then the ship is ready to be unloaded & dispatched again regardless of how many ports it made it in/out of? Correct? If so, my bad for misinterpreting...

Taz is not available at the moment.
Yes that is correct. As long as the 24hour rule applies and you are not already preparing another ship for dispatch you can start preparing it for it's next trip once it is unloaded.

darn it, unloaded my Yellow Ship, started prep. checked the log.. only gives me (2) to replace instead of (10) not happy jan....
UPDATE... yipee, re opened the ship again and now I have (10) to replace, :) now I am a happy little ship owner, :)

There are several names that I consistently have to skip after approximately 15 hours, and it is frustrating that I cannot change them to more active neighbors, as I did previously!

Is this happening on the ship you are currently preparing?
Try clearing your FT memcache. To do that Click Here (https://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/play/?do=clear_memcached). A window will open with a list of "unsetting", that is the memcache being cleared. Close that window and FT if you have it open in another window. Then reload and see if it lets you swap ports then.

I'm assuming that once the "UNLOAD" buttons turns blue & the ship is ready to be unloaded, that that signals that the 7-day "sail" period has completed?

Yes, when the Unload button is shown in blue then that means the ship has returned to you either at the end of 7 days or after visiting all 30 ports, which ever comes first.
