Hi There,

We just released a new update with the following features and bug fixes: En Español AQUI (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=642590)

1. 48 x 48 farm expansion for Farms 1 to 10: 40000000000 coins or 40 FarmCash.
Mod edit: Please note that these expansions are for the original farms 1 - 10. If you have moved your farms around using the Farm Selector Manager then you will need to find the original farms for 1 - 10 to expand them. You can not expand a farm just because it is sitting in one of those locations.


2. Seeder Ex 9 x 9 (FC): Plant up to 1296 *overlapped* fields at once in a squared area the size of 9 x 9 plow fields.

3. Combine Harvest-Plant Ex 9 x 9 (FC): Harvest, Plow and Plant up to 1296 *overlapped* fields at once in a squared area the size of 9 x 9 plow fields.

4. Trading Warehouse improvements released in the past 3 weeks:

a) Closed offers now show a picture of the farmer who bought your products.
b) When you try to create a new Super Facility offer, if you haven't upgraded any Facility to a Super Facility on the current week yet, we will show a text letting you know about it with a link to open the Super Facility Manager.

5. Create Buy Offers for regular products in your Trading Warehouse (Coming in 1-2 weeks): This will be totally separate from the trading online for regular products, different rules, trading limits, rewards, trading interval length, etc. Details coming in a few days.

6. New Cumin and Fava Beans crops: Used in the Egyptian Restaurant.

7. Egyptian Restaurant (FC): Produces Egyptian Food.

New products from other facilities: Ground Cumin in the Spice Factory and Tahini Paste in the Food Preserve Factory.

8. Taste of Egypt (FC): Provides Egypt Cultural Exchange and Food Tasting Services and can be stocked with products from the Egyptian Restaurant.

9. Spearfishing Supplies Factory (Coins): Produces Spearfishing Supplies.

Mods, please let Raul see this post - I am a neighbor down the road, and thank you. Thank you, BUT since June 5 2009 I have spent thousands of dollars for this addiction. Have been excited and spend a minimum of 4 hours a day along with my 50 to 60 hour work week. I am 72 and should live on my retirement, but work like a dumb-dumb to support this addiction. Total addict. This is the first upgrade disappointment in 10 years. Love the new facilities, love the new crops - but upgrades to current lots does not compute. They are so sedimentary that we all have spent hours filling them. Without a new lot, we cannot add a crude oil pump. Crude oil has been a dangerous low commodity. For years I have been requesting a super crude oil facility. Years. This will be a drastic detriment to the balance of the game. All new additions require more crude oil. We cannot keep up now, so hummmmm, Houston, we have a problem. Please have the courtesy to respond somehow.

I'm having trouble buying the upgrades. I've tried everything I can think of. Was able to do 3 of the 10 farms and the rest say I already have the upgrades, but I don't. They are all 46X46. Help please. I am linked, can you take a look and see why this might be happening? Thanks

Hi siszzlinsssandi,
Please note that these upgrades are for the original first 10 farms. If you have moved your farms around then the ones in the first 10 locations may not be the ones you can upgrade.
You can find out where those farms are by using the Farm Selector Manager in your toolbox. Select to Reset them and that will show them in there original position. When you have found what farms they are click the red X at the bottom. That will leave them where you have them and will not move them.

i have been playing since march or april 2009.wish i knew the correct month. i want be buying anymore land .i will buy new farms and all the land .the farms are big enough we did not need anymore land.hoping farmtown never gets removed .there would be a lot of upset people if we did not have farmtown to play.i have RA arthritis .this game helps me keep my mind off the pain . wish they would stop putting red lines on when i try to put more trees on my farms. a friend put flowers on a few farms and layered them for me because i could not do it. if the trees disapeared i would never complain about them.i need the trees i am trying to put on my farm 35. wish they would remove the red lines off my farm 35. thanks for a great game

Hi Mom Glenda,
First the developers have tested and the farms work fine all the way up to 50x50 (one more upgrade).

The red lines only show when you hide some of the trees to show you where they are. That is unless you have bought the ground cover with the grid which in that case you would need to change your ground cover on that farm.
If you wish to make suggestions please post them in the Suggestions section where we organize them by subject for the developers to view. You can not start a new thread there, but can reply to a thread that fits your suggestion.

TAZ i do not have a ground cover .i have no trees hid. there are flowers all over this farm .upsets me it let me place trees on the farm from the gift box but not in a row.i placed them on the farm after it stoped me from putting them in a row.please come to my farm 35 see if it let you place the trees on the farm in the rows . the note says i might lose the trees ,if i was going lose them i would lost them time i put them on the farm. .a friend and neighbor put the flowers all over the farm for me since my hands are cripplied with arthritis it hard for me to do it .i needed more trees .i trying to do it myself .if not for the red lines i could get it done slow but it would get done.thanks

I am sorry, but what you are trying to do is layering and we can not give any instructions on layering in the forums. The kind of layering you are trying to do with flowers and trees over crops can cause problems. The red lines you see are telling you that you can not place that tree in the location you are trying to.

Hi Mom Glenda,

They can not remove the red lines because that is telling you where you can not plant your trees or anything else you are trying to set down from gifts or from the store, because something else is already there. What you are trying to do is layering and we can not help you with layering per the developers instructions.

Those that have done the layering have done so on their own and with no help from the forums or the developers. They are risking problems by doing so.

The Super Facility changes are working great by ppl able to get the offered stuff from the My Trading Warehouse feature. You just show up to the Trade Marketplace and wait for ppl to drain it and then you can go back home. Ppl also can get what they want from you, instead of you designating what they get. A real improvement.

Such an improvement. In the past it took forever to work farms that had facilities on all or almost all farms. I would avoid them so that I could work smaller ones. Now I can work them all. THANK YOU!!!!

I was especially thankful for the speed increase for working factories for our friends and neighbors, but of course thanks for all of it. I was hoping for an update on when the game will be changing platforms to HTML5 or another new platform, but still hopeful it will come out well before we know who is the next president of the US of A.

Me, too. I play a couple other FB games. One has already made the switch by recreating the game on another platform and transferring our stuff over. The other says we shouldn't even notice the change but gave us instructions on what to do if we have issues. I've been looking for something similar from the FT devs.

The developers have said they have started working on migration for our game from Flash to another resilient platform and they think we will not notice any significant difference when they upgrade Farm Town.

I'm sorry to say I'm not noticing any difference. The individual farms have been loading faster ever since it no longer loads the entire farm. That helps a lot. But it still takes the same amount of time to click through all the facilities. :(

I think it is faster for those with 2 or more trains with 10 carriages loaded on each.

September 5th 2019 - Fix released for Train boosting - You will get a new popup window that does not shrink. You can only use one list at a time, because if you pick some from one list then switch to another list it clears the ones you previously selected. So pick the list you want for example "Recently Sent To", send to the friends you want on that, click Done at the bottom of the box and then the box will automatically close. If you can't find 12 from one list and need to use another list just click on Boost Train again and pick another list.


September 5th 2019 - Fix released for the Invite page only. - new pop-up window that does not shrink.

Onlky the developers know and they do not tell us in advanced when they will have it ready to be released. Only thing you can do is keep checking back here to see if it has been released.
