Hi There,

We just released a new update with the following features and bug fixes: En Español AQUI (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=659426)

1. 10 Halloween decorations (released last week):

2. 58 x 58 farm expansions for Farms 1 through 15 (Postponed for the next release):

3. 25 new Levels: 18 new decorations, 4 buildings and 14 in the Farm Decor category in the store.

4. Securing your access to your Farmtown account: Most of our time in the past month has been dedicated to comply with new Facebook security requirements, and still, Farmtown was deactivated by Facebook for 1 week.

We decided that Farmtown will continue to be accessed on Facebook, however, if Facebook requirements become too demanding in the future, we may have to move Farmtown to our own dedicated website.

In this case, the only way to access your current Facebook Farmtown account will be if you have it linked to your email.

The next time you load the game, you will see a screen allowing you to link your current Facebook Farmtown account to your email.

If you have multiple Facebook Farmtown accounts, you will have to link each one to a different email.

If for some reason you lose access to the linked email inbox, please remember to link your Facebook Farmtown account again to another email, otherwise, you will not be able to access your Facebook Farmtown farms on the new Farmtown website.

When the new Farmtown website is ready, we will send you an email to the linked email you provided with instructions on how to access your Facebook Farmtown farms in the new Farmtown website.

5. Minor Improvements:

- Always open the Belts screen in the 'Recent Belts' tab if there are pending bonus collections available
- Bugfix: Items reverting back to previous positions when designing for a Super Neighbour with both players online and present in the farm
- Bugfix: Wrong footprint when trying to move certain train long wagons in the farm
- Bugfix: When unloading trains with the cattle wagon the animals went to the harvest storage instead of the item storage, it required a reload to correct itself
- Bugfix: Sometimes the Non-Ingredient (for me) filter in the Storage screen was not showing the correct products
- Bugfix: Trains can be dispatched without having enough coins
- Bugfix: Sometimes the global ingredient planner was showing an empty screen when selecting individual facilities

Released last month:

- Bugfix: Some dropdowns in the Super Neighbour Manager screen were cut off at the top
- Bugfix: Cannot delete an existing facility chain
- Bugfix: Excavator tool not working when deleting a big number of items in big farms

6. Farm Pass Improvements released last month:

- Showing more prominently the Farm Pass benefits earned when doing actions like unloading trains and ships, claiming the Job Completion Bonus, etc
- You can now get hired by your neighbours to complete your Farm Pass farming goals
- Farm Cash animals like Heavywool Llama and Longwool Sheep will not be selected anymore for harvest animals Farm Pass goals
- Removed the 'Dispatch a Specific Ship' farm pass daily goal
- A warning message is shown when claiming a Farm Pass decoration reward but having no space in your item storage to store it
- Bugfix: Send gifts back from the 'My Request' tab now counts toward the Send Gift Farm Pass goal

7. Turbo Oil Factory: This is a new facility that produces 3 times More Oil than the current Oil Factory.

8. New Caraway crop: Used in the Czech Restaurant.

9. Mold Remediation Supplies (FC): Produces Mold Remediation Supplies.

Post Release Updates - October 19th, 7:30PM

- Added information at the top of the game showing your Facebook Farmtown account email link status.

When you have completed the linking of your email to your Facebook Farmtown account, the top section will show the current linked email and an 'Update' button.

The 'Update' button should only be used if you have lost access to the email address currently linked to your Facebook Farmtown account.

Post Release Updates - October 21th, 4:10PM

- Added more instructions and clarifications to the process of linking an email to your Facebook Farmtown account.

- If you tried to link an email but you didn't receive the verification email we sent, we will show you an automatic popup when the game loads with more instructions. Sometimes we will be able to tell you with high degree of confidence that the email address you used was misspelled or no longer valid.

Post Release Updates - October 21th, 11:20PM

- New levels will be released this weekend or on Monday.

- Released 25 new levels.

Post Release Updates - November 1st, 10:00PM

- Bugfix: Linked emails were reset to empty when changing your avatar name or sex in the Accounts tab.

- Removed seasonal gift decorations from the Farm Pass 'Receive Specific Gift' goal.

- Added a note icon next to each player in the Farm Pass collect farm cash gift screen so you can say Thanks back.

- The search bar in the custom sort screen in the Facility Manager now accepts more than one facility name separated by comma and you can use the arrows to scroll through them.

- When arriving at an empty marketplace we suggest players to set the language to English (US) in their preferences.

Post Release Updates - November 7th, 10:30PM

- We released an optimization for the 'My Request' page, accepting 1 or all gifts is now much faster.

Post Release Updates - November 8th, 8:45PM

- Bugfix: When having the same Farm Pass goal as a daily and season goal, the counter was only updating the season goal.

- Bugfix: The Empty Marketplace warning message was showing up even when the marketplace was not empty.

Post Release Updates - November 11th, 4:10PM

- 9 Thanksgiving decorations: 1 as gift, 6 at the top of the Thanksgiving category in the store and 2 at the bottom.

- In the past couple of days we have been gradually releasing several server optimizations to improve the performance of the game, according to our measures the current game performance should be the same as 2 months ago. We plan to complete more optimizations in the future to be able to release more farm expansions and bigger tools.

- Bugfix: 'Accept All' button in the My Request tab not working for people with Gifting Machines, the gifts were removed from the page but were not going to the giftbox most of the time.

Those of you not finding the confirmation email, please remember to check your spam/junk folders of your emails as well.

The email is from the Farm Town Account Team and is titled Verify your email address.

There is a to click on link in that email to confirm your email address or you can copy and paste the longer link in that same email and paste it into your browser address bar to confirm your email.

You will then see a Thanks for verifying your email message with a link to take you to Farm Town.

I am sure many of us have questions about moving to Farm Town's own website. Maybe a dedicated thread so we can see what has been asked and answered? Sorry but not going to suggest this in the proper place.

I welcome this move because some months back I had issues getting on FB asking me for ID, that I provided and accepted, but I was still locked out of my FB account.

I feel FB, since it changed to Meta, is a mess and is gearing up to business type of things and don't really care about their gaming community. This may turn out to be a mistake on their part.

I have friends who have lost their Farm Town account because they have been locked out of their FB accounts or because they can't currently play Farm Town with their new computer/mac/laptop/handheld on FB. They didn't know how it would impact playing farm Town on FB when upgrading their hardware.

Question 1
If someone is currently locked out of their FB will they be able to retrieve their account on the new website or is this only going to be possible if they can get back into their FB account?
What if they use an email that is registered with FB but can't access FB. Does that mean they will have to start over with Farm Town on the new website like getting a new FB account?

Question 2
If someone cannot currently play Farm Town on FB because of some technicality, does that mean they wont be able to keep their game, as it was when they stopped playing, and have to start over or will there be some way of transferring their game over to the new FT website?

Question 3
Can you confirm that once this new website is up and running, we will no longer need a FB account to play and can close our FB account?

I have been thinking of quitting FB for sometime and to know I can continue with my current FT game on a your dedicated website is fantastic news. (I have another game on FB that has done this and I no longer play this game on FB. The web game and the FB are not compatible though, they are completely different games saved at the time of transfer).
Can you confirm that this will be the case for Farm Town or will FB and Web based game be the same if we switch between the two?

As we do not have any of the information you are asking currently since this is in the early planning stages for the developers , no we are not going to currently start a new thread for it. Please be patient until they are set up and we are able to get more information on how it will all work or even if if they will have to go to this as it is a back up plan.

You can not currently change your email. When they get that part added then there will be instructions on how to do it.

Just to be clear. If the game is moved off of Facebook, the ONLY current method to verify a Farm Town account as your own is to use your own email address to verify it. Using your FT ID isn't going to work for that.

As far as we know there are no problems getting that email from the popular ones like gmail, hotmail, live etc.

Please click on this link to take you to another post, scroll down and look for the 2 email addresses there, it's worth while you adding those addresses to your safe senders list in both of your emails to see if that helps at all with future emails from FT in case your emails are blocking them for some reason:

Then after that, try sending a ticket into support using your other email and let them know the email address that isn't getting a response so they can look into it. If you don't get an automatic response to that ticket tonight let us know please, but please don't post your full email address on the forum.

Then after that, try sending a ticket into support using your other email and let them know the email address that isn't getting a response so they can look into it. If you don't get an automatic response to that ticket tonight let us know please, but please don't post your full email address on the forum.

I've added both to my safe senders list (that was a workout lol) sent email to support from my main email, and secondary email address, I'm in UK, so will leave it until tomorrow to see if I get an automated response....Will let you know either way.......Thanx!!

When you load the game, there is a new yellow box just upper the game screen. You can see "Facebook Farm Account linked to:" and your email address. Next to it you will see an UPDATE button.

If the email address is Correct for you, then you don't have to do anything more!

If the email address is NOT Correct then click in UPDATE button, you will see a confirmation message. Click in OK. Then you will get the pop up again to be able to change your email address.

Since then, I've tried to access it and encountered stumbling blocks - probably not remembering my username/password. Since we're doing this email thing now, might it be possible for me to get into this FT account again and begin using it? Developers have just changed the text into the yellow box, but the rest is the same.
You dont have to do anything if your email address is correct. :)

Ten minutes ago the button above my play area read "update" and now it reads
"No Email Linked!" in the red writing and "Link Email" on the button. I did it yesterday as soon as I had read the details of this update and confirmed it via the email I received. My guess is that there is a problem with the system that will be fixed when I get up in the morning.

Of course I have to get to bed early since I am still recovering from minor surgery. Maybe they are doing the computer equivalent of basal cell removal only on a computer instead of a person?!? :D

Your username/password for those farms would be thesame ones for the Facebook account you used to get to them.We can't help you with those. If you can't log into that account and get to the farm I don't think there would be any way to link an email to it specially since the email associated with it is also un usable.

Hi Farmer_Susan,

If you can't log into that other Facebook account then there's no way for you to load the game on that account to be able to do the link email.
You can't do it using your current Facebook account if that's what you were thinking.

If you can log into the account, then all you need is an active email address for it to link it.

Did you get the verification email and did you read the information and click on the link in that email?
Did you see the Thanks for Verifying your email message?
If you did not, that could be what the problem is.

If you are using the same email provider that you used for the forum, we are not aware of any problems with getting verified using that email provider. Many are using that provider and not having problems so we need to figure out why it's not working for you.

If you are using a different email provider, which one is it? Please do not post the full address on the forum, we only need to know which provider it is, for example, hotmail, gmail, outlook etc

I gave up since I had already asked the question a couple times and filled out a support ticket. So thanks for getting back to me. I understand how you guys may have missed it the first time I asked since a lot of people have not been able to get their accounts linked even once. Not a problem for me though since I just copy and paste using the keyboard shortcuts. Plus the popup has my address there already from the first time. :) So I will just do it again. Please clear your memcache, link below. A new window will open with a short list of unsettings. Close that window and your farm in all tabs you have it open. Then load your game.

Those of you still having problems with the email verification, if you have clicked on the link in the email that you were sent and saw the yellow thanks message and have reloaded the game and it's either

not showing you your email address in the yellow box above your game


telling you that you need to Link Email again


telling you to finish linking


Please check your browsers are still up to date and then run memcache.

To run FT memcache Click Here (https://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/play/?do=clear_memcached). A window will open with a list of "unsetting", that is the memcache being cleared. Close that window and FT if you have it open in another window. Then reload the game.

If the yellow box at the top hasn't corrected to show your email, try the Link Email one more time please.

Also, I removed your email address as it is not a good idea to post it in an open forum.

I'm not sure why you can't type your email address instead of copy and paste it but thing is that WebGL provides very limited support for copy and paste so developers had to implement it from scratch.

If the method of using the mouse to highlight what you want to Copy/Paste/Cut and right clicking the menu options doesn't work, you can try highlighting only the word(s) you want to copy/cut or paste and then try using the following on your keyboard:

Windows Users:
CTRL+C (Copiar)
CTRL+X (Cortar)
CTRL+V (Pegar)

Mac Users:
Command (or Cmd) ⌘-C (Copiar)
Command (or Cmd) ⌘-X (Cortar)

I am not sure Ymail will work if there isn't any way to list allowed email addresses, but try adding those to your "contacts" for that email and see if that will work when you retry again.

Hi Kathyrdr,

You need to open one of your regular facilities and click the + on product made in it and post that request to Facebook. It will also show up on Other Wall Requests for your friends to see, you won't see it there yourself.
When three different friends send you that ingredient, then you can accept those ingredients from your gift box.
They must be ingredients that you have received after requesting them, you can't exchange or accept gifts from the gift page for this goal.

There is no way for us to check your daily flower goal from yesterday but if you get another one in the future, please be sure that the flowers you need watering have at least 2 empty drops.

About your current daily goal for Accepting 2 Tombstone gifts: there are 4 different Tombstone gifts in Send gifts tab.
The ones you accepted are not the same the farm pass is asking you.

Please open your farm pass and check the position for the skeleton on the tombstone and you will see it is not the same you accepted and are placed on your farm 40

After sending your email address, did you open it and looked for the mail sent by the game?
You need to complete the process by opening the mail and clicking in Confirm your email. Then you have to reload the game.

If the email address showing up above the game screen is the correct one, then you dont have to click in Update.

Hi Tom C,

Just like Quests the goals are assigned at random. Not everyone will find every goal easy or even possible to complete as we get towards the end of the season.
In this case if someone already had some ships ready to unload this morning, those would count and they have the rest of the season to try and get the rest dispatched and unloaded in time. If they know that they can't achieve that, and still need more points then they will have to try to complete other goals.

When the regular facilities finished it was 10:10. 19 minutes to work one persons facilities is to long. This is the extreme but they are all STILL working slow!

Other than that you have to work your friends Eye Clinic 217 times and by the time I checked it was 35/217

Make sure a period or extra space isn't in the address as that's a common mistake.
Is your browser still up to date?
Have you tried a different browser?
How long did you wait until you tried again?
Did you reload the game before trying again?

I moved your post to the new release thread to answer you.
You would need to change the email address for your noob account to the correct one for it. To do that click on the Upgrade button in the yellow box at the top of your farms. Then you should be able to add the correct email to your primary account.

You should only have to link your email once. Are you seeing your email address in the yellow box at the top with an Update button? If so then you do not need to do any more for it.
If you are not seeing that did you get the emiail to confirm your email address? If you didn't do that then you will need to complete the confirmation. Be sure to check your spam folder in your email.

Hi rmhand. That pop up is telling you what to do for the next step. Reload your farms, then look for the mail box on the left side and click on that for a pop up to add your email address in.

We don't have any way to send confirmation email. When you entered the new email address then that email is automatically sent. Check your spam folder to see if has been sent there.

They are working on this but it is has been complicated by the addition of the security measures that Facebook required. Please be patient while they work to find the slowdown and correct it.

The gifts are specific, as there are several pumpkin faces, you must make sure you are claiming the correct pumpkin face. Farm Pass wont accept the other views.

Post Release Updates - November 1st, 10:00PM

- Bugfix: Linked emails were reset to empty when changing your avatar name or sex in the Accounts tab.

- Removed seasonal gift decorations from the Farm Pass 'Receive Specific Gift' goal.

- Added a note icon next to each player in the Farm Pass collect farm cash gift screen so you can say Thanks back.

- The search bar in the custom sort screen in the Facility Manager now accepts more than one facility name separated by comma and you can use the arrows to scroll through them.

- When arriving at an empty marketplace we suggest players to set the language to English (US) in their preferences.

I hired a person and dear of her she's spanish, and she was replying in spanish too. I had to use google translate for me to know what she was saying (and she didn't understand me either when I replied in English) so I translated what I said to her in English to Spanish, 'Thank you for helping' (shame you can't copy and paste anymore) and she was so happy that I 'understood' her. Little does she know though I was using google translate. We're playing worldwide so I am quite surprised this isn't available anyway

This was a problem that has been fixed now to prevent this happening, but you will need to re-add your email address the way you did the first time.

You will need to click again on the link in the yellow box to add your email address. After you have clicked on it and the ok in the pop up, then reload your farms and look for the mail box on the left side of your farms. Click on that and add your email address. Then go look for the confirmation email to complete the process.

It is telling you to reload your farms. You need to click on the OK in that pop up, then reload. Then you need to look for the mail box on the left side of your farms and click on that. A pop up will show with a blank to enter your emal address.

Never mind Taz, I am an old woman, takes me awhile to catch on, after clicking on the tiny little mailbox on the left hand side I was able to relink, and re-confirm. Thanks again for you help and your patience.

Hi Gaber,
I have moved your post to the News and Announcements thread about the current release.
This was a problem that has been fixed now to prevent this happening, but you will need to re-add your email address the way you did the first time.

You will need to click again on the link in the yellow box to add your email address. After you have clicked on it and the ok in the pop up, then reload your farms and look for the mail box on the left side of your farms. Click on that and add your email address. Then go look for the confirmation email to complete the process.

Hello, when do you anticipate the new expansions? it stated pending server optimizations. How's it going with this?
I also left a few messages inquiring why the new expansions and not additional farms as in 45, 46, 47, and 48? or is it FT server cannot handle this?

Developers didnt tell us the exact date when the new expansions will be added.

Only the developers know if they will add more farms in the future but if you want to make a suggestion about new farms, please post it in our Suggestion section. You cant start a new thread there, but you can post as a reply to a thread that fits with your idea.

It doesn't pop up. After you have reloaded the game look for the mail box on the left side. Click on that and then you get the pop up to add your email. Then go check your email for a confirmation email and click on the link in that.

have noticed a few times when working facilities for farm pass goal, i will be working a farm and it will say working farm 7 then say 60000 products stored then it will say oops mayor has already worked these facilities or something like that. it is like it is working the more than once. when it does that it takes for ever to work that persons farm

The devs are currently researching the slowdown issues with working facilities. Whatever fix they apply when they are done, may resolve both issues.

- In the past couple of days we have been gradually releasing several server optimizations to improve the performance of the game, according to our measures the current game performance should be the same as 2 months ago. We plan to complete more optimizations in the future to be able to release more farm expansions and bigger tools.

Not sure if this is expected or just an artifact of US DST ending last week, but I'm seeing a 1 hour difference between when I get more daily FarmPass goals vs season goals.

Also wanted to state that I love the new FarmPass feature. It has brought new excitement to playing this game. Thanks for all the hard work!

I noticed that also. Just passed the 600 points and have collected all Rewards and Privileges for this month but will continue doing the goals each day as they add another element to the game apart from just aimlessly planting, harvesting etc.. :)

About new flowers, trees etc, Im sorry but the developers dont tell us in advance.
