Hi There,

We just released a new update with the following features and bug fixes: En Español AQUI (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=661206)

1. WARNING! High Risk for Farmtown to be removed from Facebook:

As many of you know already, the latest Facebook requirements for Farmtown to continue to be available inside Facebook are now extremely demanding for our small team, therefore, there is a high chance that Farmtown will be disabled for a long time inside Facebook or even permanently.

The guaranteed way to play Farmtown in the future will be outside Facebook, using the farmtown.com website. It's not live yet, we estimate that the first version should be completed in a few weeks.

In order to keep all your current farms and game content in the farmtown.com website, please load the usual Farmtown game in Facebook and follow the instructions.

You will be asked to enter an email and password and those will be your credentials to login to the new farmtown.com website when it's ready.

Please write down your email and password in a secure place, so in case you forget them, you don't lose access to your farms when migrating to farmtown.com

Also, please help us spread the word and tell your friends that they need to come back to the game and provide us with their email and password credentials so they don't lose access to their farms if Facebook disable Farmtown permanently.

We will be sharing updates about the progress of the farmtown.com website in the coming weeks.

2. 58 x 58 farm expansions for Farms 34 through 44: Prices are 60 Farm Cash or 100 billion coins.

3. Tree Shaker 44 x 44: Harvest up to 1936 trees at once.

4. Other Minor Improvements:

- The confirmation popup that opens when you delete Coin items now always contains the "Don't ask me again" checkbox, even for expensive items
- Removed a popup message for some users when placing water items in their farms
- Bugfix: Click on the small green help sign in the Facility Manager header not working

5. Prenatal Supplies Factory (FC) (postponed until next release): Produces Prenatal Supplies.

6. Iraqi Restaurant (Coins) (postponed until next release): Produces Iraqi Food.

7. Prenatal Care Center (FC) (postponed until next release): Provides Prenatal Services and can be stocked with products from the Prenatal Supplies Factory.

8. Taste of Iraq (Coins) (postponed until next release): Provides Iraq Cultural Exchange and Food Tasting Services and can be stocked with products from the Iraqi Restaurant.

- Bugfix: The Verify Login screen was considering lowercase and uppercase letters as different in the email address, this was causing that some users could not verify their login credentials today. Please reload the game and try again.

Also, we released another update so when the Verify Login screen is shown, if you reload the game at that time, the Verify Login will show up again, the only way to continue to your farms is to enter the correct credentials or by going to the registration screen again, at which point you can enter new credentials, or click the red button to cancel the registration, at your own risk.

Post Release Updates - March 9th, 12:50AM

- if you want an extra piece of mind in case you forget the credentials required to access your farms from the farmtown.com website, then after you verify those credentials in the game, we will offer you the option to share your Facebook Email Address with us. This may serve as an alternative method to regain access to your farms in farmtown.com.

Please treat this only as a back up method, the principal way to gain access to your farms from the farmtown.com website will be by registering with an Email and Password.

Post Release Updates - March 29th, 9:40AM

- We continue making progress on the farmtown.com website and the initial version is almost completed

- The release of the new facilities will be postponed until the next release estimated in 1-2 weeks

- Bugfix: Some players using passwords containing the % character were having issues verifying their login credentials for the new farmtown.com website. The issue has been corrected however those players would have to reload the game and re-start the registration process by entering their email and password once again.

- All players can now set any of their farms as a quest farm without the requirement of owning any animal tools

- Bugfix: Some of the smaller Dozers not been able to delete or highlight certain items

- Bugfix: Player information like name and pics not always showing up correctly in offline message screens

Some farmers are getting invalid credentials for the verification pop up. Developers are working on that, so please be patient while they check what is happening.

You will only have to do this 5 days total. It is to make sure you remember it and to verify for Slashkey that you are entering it correctly.

What if people are on holiday/vacation and can't get on the laptop for 5 days what happens then? Will they still be able to get into farmtown. My farming friend is on holiday until the 25th March at a late time and she's worried that she wont be able to get back in and she'll lose her farm town.

Raul did say a few weeks and they would keep us informed here. They are still working with Facebook to try to solve the security issues that Facebook keeps adding.

The 5 days is just to verify your login for the web site, should Facebook pull the plug on Farm Town. It doesn't have anything to do with when the web site will be ready. The developers are working as fast as they can to get the site ready so we can work through there.

you can register with any active email just make sure you make a new password for registration purposes and remember it.

Just in case there is any doubt in the replies you've received.

Just like any website you use, that requires you to log in to be able to use it fully, the Farm Town website also needs you to provide registration details so that you can use them to log in.

Most websites require an email address that you use and ask you to chose a password to use. That is exactly what you are doing when registering on Farm Town. You are providing an email address and then a password that you want to use for Farm Town. When the website is ready, you will then use those 2 details to be able to log in and access your farms there.

When you enter your email address and then choose a password, it does NOT change your password for your email or for anything else that you need a password for. It can NOT do that. You do not need another email address for Farm Town, you can use the one you have, and the password does not need to be the same one you use for your email address.

Just remember to make a note of both of them and keep them somewhere you will remember where to find them in case you forget them.

When you have completed the registration, you will be asked to enter those details again to verify those as your log in details for Farm Town. You will be asked to do this up to 5 times, roughly once a day.

The developers are not going to go into details here on what new reuirements Facebook is asking of them here. Since most of us are not programers we wouldn't understand them and it would just confuse everyone.

It will depend on when/if Facebook disables the game. If it is disabled before she returns then we don't know if it will be possible after that happens. We will have to wait and see what else the developers come up with.

Thanks for all you all do. I love Farm Town and am glad you are working so hard to get it on a stand alone web page. I think it will be much better I don't look on FB to much only use it for FT will probably only check with friends if something is happening in my neck of the woods. There will not be any specific details given about what communication there has been between Facebook and the developers of Farm Town. There have been problems since October last year.

If you have not already done so, please make sure that you have done the registration process (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?p=6531050#post6531050) if you wish your farm data to be saved so you can access your farms on the new website when it's ready.

The verification timing is a Farm Town day which is 20 hours, so it is possible to get the verification pop up twice in a day.

the updates are nice but it is really annoying that the farms get bigger and bigger while the expansions for the tools are released slowly. Neither I don`t have the time nor the desire to click all day long. Can`t you just release 10 expansions for each tool so that we can seed our fields with 1-4 clicks? To celebrate that you now offered one size more combine harvest-plow-seeder is ridiculous. I mean the facilities also work with one click. That is conveniant. I even would prefer there a one click tool to start the entire process with 1 click. So the update is far behind its possibilities.

It's nothing to worry about. That extra added security step was recently introduced to allow the game to know the email address you used to create your Facebook account. It is just another back up that might help in the future.

Most will have allowed that permission back when they first played Farm Town, but not everyone did that, as yours's is not there you have been asked to allow that permission.

You do not need to know the password for that email, you will not be asked for it when you give that permission. When you click on Continue as (your name) the window will close.

The primary method to log into the website will still be the email address and password you supplied in the in game registration and verify log in windows.

I understand the verifying when an update comes out but there is no reason to have to verify 5 times just to register to play off facebook that is crazy and very annoying. FT isn't as bad as other games with the pop up but they are annoying and turns me off on games.

thank you so much Raul .i let friends talk me into letting them layer my farms to a 9x9 4 year ago .i just got a friend to remove the 9x9 layering ,she fixed my farms back like i had them for almost 10 years.got so tired of not being able to put things on my farms .praying it now be like it used to be.praying no more problems.i will be happy when you move us out of facebook.God bless you and the team

Please stop asking all of this as we do not have the information. We will all find out the details when the developers are ready for us to know and the website is ready for us to log in.
As far as the farms data it is on the Farm Town servers, however you have to be able to log into the new website. You have to register to be able to log into the new website as it is not part of nor will they be able to access any of the data on Facebook. If you haven't registered then you can't log in, then you can't get to your farms. It is as simple as that.

As far as the farms data it is on the Farm Town servers, however you have to be able to log into the new website. You have to register to be able to log into the new website as it is not part of nor will they be able to access any of the data on Facebook. If you haven't registered then you can't log in, then you can't get to your farms. It is as simple as that.

I have a few questions about what happens after we change over to the new platform.
1. Will inactive and/or unregistered friends be lost, or will they still show up as our neighbors? If they are lost to us, will we no longer be able to expand the third farm?
2. How will bonuses and requests be shared, if not through Facebook?
3. Will we be able to share bonus links and requests through Facebook?
4. How will new neighbors be added? Will it work like buddies, or will we share information such as our username, or by using a code?
5. What will transfer over and what will not? Farm coins? Farm Cash? Current facility production? Crops in the fields?
6. Will you release a timeline to let us know when the changes will be made? When will this be shared?

I have a few questions about what happens after we change over to the new platform.
1. Will inactive and/or unregistered friends be lost, or will they still show up as our neighbors? If they are lost to us, will we no longer be able to expand the third farm?
2. How will bonuses and requests be shared, if not through Facebook?
3. Will we be able to share bonus links and requests through Facebook?
4. How will new neighbors be added? Will it work like buddies, or will we share information such as our username, or by using a code?
5. What will transfer over and what will not? Farm coins? Farm Cash? Current facility production? Crops in the fields?
6. Will you release a timeline to let us know when the changes will be made? When will this be shared?

when the site moves to its on plat form is it going to be like when we went from flash player to this format, with only part of the game working. when we first switched over to this all we could do was plow, plant, harvest and then in a few weeks we could do a little bit more and a few weeks after that i a little more, or will it all work at once. also how close are we to the switch or any idea?

Post Release Updates - March 29th, 9:40AM

- We continue making progress on the farmtown.com website and the initial version is almost completed

- The release of the new facilities will be postponed until the next release estimated in 1-2 weeks

- Bugfix: Some players using passwords containing the % character were having issues verifying their login credentials for the new farmtown.com website. The issue has been corrected however those players would have to reload the game and re-start the registration process by entering their email and password once again.

- All players can now set any of their farms as a quest farm without the requirement of owning any animal tools

- Bugfix: Some of the smaller Dozers not been able to delete or highlight certain items

- Bugfix: Player information like name and pics not always showing up correctly in offline message screens

Oh I assumed that...and working quite hard from the sounds of today's update. Just curious, as I would LOVE to spend some FC on the super animal sheds as I keep running out of cow milk/hen eggs/sheep wool of late, and don't want to take away an overfilled regular stable to do so!

As before the developers have not done anything specific for tablets or phones to be able to play. If you are able to play on it then great, but there are no plans for adding any tablet or phone capability. If you are planning on trying to play be sure you complete the registration.

Thanks Taz. Your help is much appreciated, I used hubby’s computer to access Farm Town on FB and have registered. Hopefully I can get a small laptop, and at least try and occasionally play, its better than nothing.😊

The undefined is due they are posting their facilities from the new website.

As the new website has not already released and developers are still working on it and we are still testing, then players should continue using Facebook to play the game.

The new website is not ready yet. Developers are working on it and it is being tested, so when changes are done, you may not get them if you are using it as it has not even been released and developers have not given more information.

When they think the new site can be used by all of us, then Im sure they will post about it with all information. That doesnt mean you cant use the website, but maybe you will not get all changes till it is released for all :)
