Hi There,

We just released a new update with the following features and bug fixes: En Español AQUI (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=663070)

1. 60 x 60 farm expansions for Farms 23 through 33: Prices are 60 Farm Cash or 120 billion coins.

2. 5 Regular Crop Tools 28 x 28: Work up to 784 non-overlapped crop fields at once.

3. Gift Manager: This is an update to the current Gift box, it will be available only in the new farmtown.com website and will allow you to send and accept gifts from inside the main game, no need to navigate to the Send Gifts or My Requests tab. It will show 3 tabs:

Send Gifts tab: This section will allow you to send a gift to multiple farmers, several filters and sorting options are available to make the process faster

My Gifts tab: This will be the same as the current Gift box, it shows all the gifts that you have accepted but haven't used/stored yet

Pending Gifts tab: This section will show all the pending gifts that farmers have sent you but you haven't accepted yet, it will contain all the options currently available in Farmtown Facebook My Request tab

Note:The gifting activity in Farmtown Facebook app will be separate from Farmtown Website app, meaning, the gifts you send using Farmtown Facebook could only be accepted by farmers using Farmtown Facebook. Gifts you send using Farmtown Website could only be accepted by farmers using Farmtown Website.

Note 2:You can accept gifts using the My Request tab in Farmtown Website, however, sending gifts back can only be done inside the main game using the Gift Manager.

4. Other Improvements released in the past few weeks:

- If you have reported or ignored a farmer in the past, that farmer will show a new 'Unblock' icon if it's present in your Farmer Lists screen. Also, if you visit her farms, we will also show the 'Unblock' icon at the bottom left of the screen. The icon looks like a red circle with a green diagonal line inside.

- After reporting or ignoring a farmer, you will not receive any more neighbour or buddy requests from that farmer

- When using the Start All / Load All buttons in the Facility Manager, there is a new line at the bottom in the popup showing when help from friends was last requested

- Added picture, avatar name, real name and last activity to the Account -> Blocked Users tab

- Bugfix: Sometimes after removing yourself from another farmer neighbours or buddies you still remained her neighbour or buddy

- Bugfix: Sometimes Super Neighbours hired for design on a certain farm could not delete items on that farm

- Bugfix: Some of the train boost requests sent from the new website were incorrectly shown as expired

- Released the Gift Manager to send and accept gifts inside the game, this is only available in the new farmtown.com website. You can also accept gifts using the My Request tab, however, sending gifts back can only be done inside the main game using the Gift Manager.

- In the farmtown.com website, when selecting friends to send gifts or train boost requests, there are now 3 sorting options:

1. Selected Stay in Place -> selected farmers remains in the same spot
2. Selected Move to Top -> selected farmers are automatically moved to the top of the list
3. Selected Move to Bottom -> selected farmers are automatically moved to the bottom of the list

If you don't want to select specific farmers as the recipients of your gift, it will probably be faster for you to use the default option 'Selected Move to Bottom', this way you just continue clicking on the same spot until you have selected the amount of farmers you want.

- Gift Manager bugfixes and improvements:

a) New 'Select ##' button in the Select Friends screen to select up to 50 farmers at once when sending gifts

b) Bugfix: When using the Store Ingredients/Animals/Plants button in the Gift Manager, the stored gifts were not removed from the screen

c) Bugfix: If you have multiple pending gifts from the same farmer and that farmer is not your neighbour or buddy, if you click the Manage button under the picture and add the farmer to your neighbours or buddies, the Manage button remains on the screen until you close and re-open the Gift Manager

d) Bugfix: If you have farm pass goals to send or accept gifts, you will have to reload the game after sending or accepting gifts in the Gift Manager for farm pass goals to update

e) Bugfix: Pending gift count sometimes not fitting in the red circle

Note: In order to save storage space in our servers, pending gifts that are not accepted in a 60 day timeframe will be removed automatically.

- Bugfix: The 'Select ##' button was showing up when sending train boost requests, it should only show when sending gifts.

- In the farmtown.com website, you can now ask your friends to send you more of a specific gift by using the 'More' button in your Gift Manager -> My Gifts section. They will see your request in their My Requests -> Other Wall Requests section and will be able to send you the gift from there.

Post Release Updates - July 19th, 5:40PM

- Enabled the capability to buy Farm Cash in the farmtown.com website for all players. We currently accept payments via Paypal or Stripe, the 2 leading payment processors globally. Notice that both services allow you to use your credit card to pay.

- Improved the Bank screen shown in the farmtown.com website to buy Farm Cash, should be less confusing now.

Post Release Updates - July 21st, 5:15PM

- The 'Preferences' section located in the Account tab in the farmtown.com website was replaced by a new 'Profile' section. In addition to changing your avatar name and gender, now you will be able to change your real first name, your email and your password. Here are some rules:

1. Your real first name must contain only letters, no spaces or numbers

2. Your password must be at least 6 characters long

3. In order to change your password you must have access to your current email. If that's not the case, then you must change your email first for an email that you have access to, since we will be sending you security codes to that email.

4. In order to change your email you don't need to have access to your old email, but you do need to have access to your new email. Keeping a valid email as your farmtown email is very important since this is the only way you will be able to recover access to your farms if you forget your password.

In the future you will be able to change your picture as well, either by uploading a new one from your PC or by using the Facebook Login system to allow the game to automatically download and use your current Facebook picture.

Post Release Updates - July 28th, 5:20PM

- New 'Restore Purchases' button in the Bank screen. If you buy Farm Cash and is not added to your account due to connectivity issues or your browser crashed in the middle of the transaction etc, you can now go back into the game, open the Bank screen and click the Restore Purchases button at the bottom right. This will go through all your recently interrupted purchases and if the purchase was completed on the Paypal or Stripe side, we will add the Farm Cash to your account automatically.

This should work for all new purchases and for some of your past week purchases as well. If for some reason the game cannot restore your purchase, please send an email to billing@slashkey.com and we will research and respond promptly.

We have noticed that for some players when they click the Paypal or Stripe button, they see no new Paypal or Stripe browser tab, this is most likely due to popup blockers, please try disabling your browser extensions or use another browser to complete the purchase.

- Most pictures inside the main game should be showing correctly now. There could still be some broken pictures outside the main game, we will be fixing those in the coming days.

- The Signup feature is now live. New players without Facebook farms can use the green Signup button to create a new account in the Farmtown website. For players with Facebook farms that haven't registered in the new website, please send an email to support@slashkey.com , we will guide you through the process of registering in the new website and recovering access to your Facebook farms.

In the future, we may create a Chrome extension or a Windows App that you can use on your own to help us authenticate you and grant you access to your Facebook farms.

Note: There is a new rule for *new* players signing up in the new website when sending Farm Cash gifts to other players. They can send as much Farm Cash as they have bought themselves, Farm Cash earned by leveling up or any other way cannot be sent to other players. This is to mitigate the creation of fake accounts in the new website with the sole purpose of leveling up and sending Farm Cash to other players.

- Bugfix: Missing pictures outside the main game

- Bugfix: Some missing pictures inside the main game

- Bugfix: Some players outside the United States were experiencing errors when purchasing Farm Cash

- When purchasing Farm Cash, if you have some kind of browser popup blocker installed, the Paypal or Stripe page to complete the payment may not open as expected. When this happens, you now have the option to retry your payment in the same browser tab where your game is running, this way the popup blockers will not interfere and the Paypal and Stripe pages will show up correctly. When you are done with your payment, you just need to reload the game and your Farm Cash will be automatically added to your account.

- When purchasing Farm Cash, if you complete your payment in Paypal or Stripe but there is an unexpected error in the game, computer or network that causes the purchase to not be automatically recognized, you just need to reload the game as usual, and your Farm Cash will be automatically added to your account.

- Bugfix: After loading the game, sometimes a mail icon was showing up in the left edge of the farm, also, all tools in the toolbox were enabled even when not owned

I still have to login to slash key every-time I want to go to my farm which is several times a day. Very annoying... I have checked all my settings in browser (Opera) to no avail. None of my other sites on bookmarks tabs do this (the ones I DO NOT log out of) . So is it something you need to do.

If you are closing the browser completely that you have your farms open in then you have to log back in each time. If you close your farms tab, but still have another tab open in the same browser then when you reopen your farms you will not have to log in.
If it is still making you log in even with another tab still open then it has to be something in the browser that is causing it. There is nothing the developers can fix for you.

I do have a question: will we be able to send facility work requests to a select few neighbors on the web version, like we have been able to do on the Facebook version? I miss that feature. Sometimes I get too many coming to work the facilities and I run out of ingredients in many of the facilities. Takes me a long time to build the stock back up.

It will depend on whether the developers want to try or can figure out a way to do that. Currently that is not available. The developers are working hard right now just trying to get all the features working through the website.

You can make a suggestion in the Suggestions section for this if you wish. You can not start a new thread there, but you can reply to one that fits your suggestion.

I went in the facility manager to harvest all animals in all farms using the harvest all tab. I do have all the tools to harvest them all at the same time. I do have, as per the facility manager, 260 animal bldgs. After thatI went in the Show farm stats and I have seen that there were still animals bldgs not harvested on farms 4 and 35. I think there is a bug there. After seing that I retried 2 times and got the same result. So I did harvest manually on each farms 4 and 35.

Have you tried setting your browser to "continue where you left off"?


Post Release Updates - May 4th, 12:30PM - If you keep your browser open or you have enabled the 'Continue where you left off' option in your browser, you will remain logged in to the website for up to a week, so when you reload the game during this period you won't have to enter email and password. If you use the Farmtown website in a public computer, just remember to click the Logout button at the top right when you are done playing.

I DO NOT have unclaimed Farm Pass Rewards. The Farm Pass is a complete waste of money and one month was one month too much. I and many others want the yellow lozenge removed from the FT screen as it inteferes with sowing and harvesting.

No it is related to the Farm Pass and that you had the extra 10% privelege for that for June. You will have to wait until they derop to less than 100%.

You only need to start a batch in one of your oil pumps so check your facility manager to see if you are able to do that.

I had this problem a few months ago. The solution I have found that works best is to post your facilities and let your stock go down below 100%. Unfortunately, I don't think your oil pumps are workable so that won't work in this situation. Hope you get your quest done in time!

I dont think i have ever posted here in 13 years..but amazing job and a million thanks team for the new gifting section. Its awesome!! I hope one day we will have a send all to neighbors or buddies instead of one click at a time for a few hundred people...but for day 1 its awesomeeeee!!!! Ty slashkey mods and team!

Known Issues:

- In the farmtown.com website, if you have farm pass goals to send or accept gifts, you will have to reload the game after sending or accepting gifts in the Gift Manager for farm pass goals to update.

- In the farmtown.com website, if you have multiple pending gifts from the same farmer, and that farmer is not your neighbour or buddy, if you click the Manage button under the picture and add the farmer to your neighbours or buddies, the Manage button remains on the screen for every gift from that farmer until you close and re-open the Gift Manager.

Post Release Updates - July 13th, 12:20PM

- In the farmtown.com website, when selecting friends to send gifts or train boost requests, there are now 3 sorting options:

1. Selected Stay in Place -> selected farmers remains in the same spot
2. Selected Move to Top -> selected farmers are automatically moved to the top of the list
3. Selected Move to Bottom -> selected farmers are automatically moved to the bottom of the list

If you don't want to select specific farmers as the recipients of your gift, it will probably be faster for you to use the default option 'Selected Move to Bottom', this way you just continue clicking on the same spot until you have selected the amount of farmers you want.

I sent the next batch off again from the first farmer listed and I was finished sending all my gifts in a very, very short amount of time. Did it always function that way or is it a change? If you have gifts in your My Gifts, how many are there?


In the Facebook game:

Are there any gifts in your gift box there that have not been accepted yet? If there gifts in your Facebook gift box, how many are there?
Did you accept your gifts on Facebook and store them before you ran into issues with the website gift box?

I tried 1, exchanged it (no gift to return); tried the 2nd, exchanged it then returned a gift. Then I tried exchange all and accept all. I still get the same error message.

I was Exchanging for eggs, so tried Exchanging for milk but the results were the same.

PS: I loaded and sent off my pink ship a while ago. When I reload my farm I keep getting the message, “The Crops, Fruit and Flowers Container at your Cargo Ship Pink has already completed it preparation cycle.” Don’t know if this is related somehow or if I should report it separately? I ran both the website memcache and the Facebook memcache, but still get the message.

We've had no problems exchanging for eggs nor have we had problems exchanging far more gifts than that either so we will keep looking for a cause. As you know we have sent this off. You can also contact the support team about this issue so they also have the information as they will likely be gathering it to add to what has already been sent off.

Your ship I am afraid I don't have great news other than it's not related to this issue with gifting. That popup is likely to show up now until you start preparing your next ship, at which time it will clear. There isn't anything we can do to fix that. I am sorry.

This can happen when you are idle on your farms and when you go to dispatch the popup that asks you if you want to dispatch doesn't show on top of the ships logbook when you click on dispatch. Unfortunately it can seem to happen at random as well, most of the time it's fine and as it will not reproduce consistently every time it's been tested it's very difficult to find the exact cause.

When you have finished preparing tomorrows ship even if a popup shows that a container is finished preparing and it's your last container, don't dispatch it. You can either close that popup and open the seaport and then dispatch it or you can reload the game and then open the seaport and dispatch it.

We will try the carbonated water, at the moment we don't think it's the amount exchanged as it's happening with different amounts. It doesn't seem to be happening to everyone either so it's being a pain to pin down.

Have you had it again since this morning? If you need carbonated water again later, see if the same thing happens with that.

But if I used Exchange All I get the same error as previously reported.

i along with other ft players are no longer happy with the way farm town has gone. I found it boring now and I am packing it up like many others have done.

part of the fun of playing ft was that I used to multi-send out gifts to all my ft friends every 2 hours or so but now I can only send out one gift to my ft farmers friend every 2 hours ..

The devs were able to reproduce the error and started working on it while I was gone for the night. Hopefully it should be fixed soon. It may be worth you running the slashkey memcache when you are logged into the website, then log out of the website and back in before you try again to see if it's still happening.

We have that options since we started working in the website.

You post facilities as usual, but they will only be posted to Facility Wall requests and your friends will work your facilities from there. When you post, you will see a brief message saying Request sent.

You can also work your friends facilities from Facility wall requests. To go to Faility wall requests you have to click en your My Requests tab.

When bought the 55 FC, then you got 10% more than you would have gotten if you had bought the 25 FC twice for the same price. Spo if you bought twice the 25 FC you would pay $10 and gotten only 50 FC. But if you bought the 55 FC for $10 then you got an extra 5 FC (10%) over the 50 you would have gotten for the twice 25.

I didn't have any problem with using either. I selected the payment method first, then clicked to select which amount I wanted to buy. It took me to the correct one each time. So yes you should be able to switch between the 2 options without any problem. You have to select payment method first. Then click on Select on the amount you want to buy.

Post Release Updates - July 21st, 5:15PM

- The 'Preferences' section located in the Account tab in the farmtown.com website was replaced by a new 'Profile' section. In addition to changing your avatar name and gender, now you will be able to change your real first name, your email and your password. Here are some rules:

1. Your real first name must contain only letters, no spaces or numbers

2. Your password must be at least 6 characters long

3. In order to change your password you must have access to your current email. If that's not the case, then you must change your email first for an email that you have access to, since we will be sending you security codes to that email.

4. In order to change your email you don't need to have access to your old email, but you do need to have access to your new email. Keeping a valid email as your farmtown email is very important since this is the only way you will be able to recover access to your farms if you forget your password.

In the future you will be able to change your picture as well, either by uploading a new one from your PC or by using the Facebook Login system to allow the game to automatically download and use your current Facebook picture.

You can post facilities from the new website as e were doing on FB. The only difference is that there won't be a post made on FB but only under the tab MY REQUESTS and then the option SHOW FACILITIES WALL REQUEST. All post to work friends's request to work their facilities are there

He is wanting it to appear on Facebook the way it has always popped up on a person's wall. I have never worked others factory post like that but apparently that is a deal breaker for him to keep playing Farmtown.

Post Release Updates - July 28th, 5:20PM

- New 'Restore Purchases' button in the Bank screen. If you buy Farm Cash and is not added to your account due to connectivity issues or your browser crashed in the middle of the transaction etc, you can now go back into the game, open the Bank screen and click the Restore Purchases button at the bottom right. This will go through all your recently interrupted purchases and if the purchase was completed on the Paypal or Stripe side, we will add the Farm Cash to your account automatically.

This should work for all new purchases and for some of your past week purchases as well. If for some reason the game cannot restore your purchase, please send an email to billing@slashkey.com and we will research and respond promptly.

We have noticed that for some players when they click the Paypal or Stripe button, they see no new Paypal or Stripe browser tab, this is most likely due to popup blockers, please try disabling your browser extensions or use another browser to complete the purchase.

- Most pictures inside the main game should be showing correctly now. There could still be some broken pictures outside the main game, we will be fixing those in the coming days.

- The Signup feature is now live. New players without Facebook farms can use the green Signup button to create a new account in the Farmtown website. For players with Facebook farms that haven't registered in the new website, please send an email to support@slashkey.com , we will guide you through the process of registering in the new website and recovering access to your Facebook farms.

In the future, we may create a Chrome extension or a Windows App that you can use on your own to help us authenticate you and grant you access to your Facebook farms.

Note: There is a new rule for *new* players signing up in the new website when sending Farm Cash gifts to other players. They can send as much Farm Cash as they have bought themselves, Farm Cash earned by leveling up or any other way cannot be sent to other players. This is to mitigate the creation of fake accounts in the new website with the sole purpose of leveling up and sending Farm Cash to other players.

Hi I just noticed that some of my neighbor's pictures are now broken links as is mine and their photos were showing as of 6am EST this morning. I logged into the game and mine and their photos were showing but when I moved from the farm/play window to the Show Other Wall Requests option neighbors whose photos were showing were now just showing broken links, I know the team is working on them just wanted to bring attention to the fact photos that were showing until this morning no longer are.

I've noticed there isn't a way for new people to join the game. I'm sure you know there is always "churn" with people leaving and new people coming in. If there is no way for new people to come into the game we will loose most of the players over time (after all nobody lives forever).

Hi amanda1955,

Uploading a picture isn't possible at the moment to correct your missing profile picture. The devs are still working on some of the disappearing profile picture issues, we do not know if it will be possible to correct them all yet.

For your Avatar name, try clicking on the Account tab at the top of your game screen, then click on the Profile section and you should be able to add the avatar name you want there. When you have entered the avatar name please remember to click on Change so that it is saved. Then try reloading the game and see if at least your Avatar name is showing up.

EDIT To Add: If you are still having difficulty after trying this please let us know and we will try to get your avatar name fixed for you.

- Bugfix: Missing pictures outside the main game

- Bugfix: Some players outside the United States were experiencing errors when purchasing Farm Cash

- When purchasing Farm Cash, if you have some kind of browser popup blocker installed, the Paypal or Stripe page to complete the payment may not open as expected. When this happens, you now have the option to retry your payment in the same browser tab where your game is running, this way the popup blockers will not interfere and the Paypal and Stripe pages will show up correctly. When you are done with your payment, you just need to reload the game and your Farm Cash will be automatically added to your account.

- When purchasing Farm Cash, if you complete your payment in Paypal or Stripe but there is an unexpected error in the game, computer or network that causes the purchase to not be automatically recognized, you just need to reload the game as usual, and your Farm Cash will be automatically added to your account.

- Bugfix: After loading the game, sometimes a mail icon was showing up in the left edge of the farm, also, all tools in the toolbox were enabled even when not owned

how do create another farm on slash key without wiping out the 1st which was trying but it said would replaying existing farm don't need that think wont bother trying so can post stuff on Facebook like others are doing
