It depends on how heavily worked are the farms you were hired for, if there were for example ponds wall to wall plus other jobs and you were hired for multiple farms, then it is possible things went slowly or farm got frozen after worked some of them.

If you now have problems with your facilities loading, then it would be better if you close everything and restart your computer.
See if your farms go back to normal after doing this.
