That does not necessarily mean they have quit. It may be that their data is not being sent to your neighbor list. I have a couple like that and I know they are still playing.

It is simple economics, things are way to expensive to play the game at its full potential.
They say the game is fun without buying the FC items (tools etc. )
But then it is really slow going especially with most farmer have 20 farm planted.

I have over 10 people who quit the game and deleted there farm town accounts.

I saw this last week on each and every one of my neighbours, even those I knew for a fact were very actively playing. When I cleared my browser cache and FT memcache, then reloaded Facebook, and the game, all went back to normal.

Those of us who truly love the game will stay with it through thick and thin, I believe.
