- Some Americans laugh when I inquire, but if you hook one, you'll know why they are a true sport fish. Having a beer or three and waiting for the discerning carp or catfish to suck up a bit of sweet corn bait might sound like a redneck tradition, but in fact, that's just how carp fishing is done at home in the UK. Looking for fish tails from either side of the Pond.
