hi

we are trying to help you as best as the forum team can if I assume you are going to the "account" tab at the top of the game window and on preferences you are deleting the old name and typing in your desired name and ensuring that you click "Change" after typing in your new desired name it should show up "Account Updated"

then after reloading your new name should appear.

have you tried updating it on anouther computer (if you only own 1 computer) maybe try using a friends or a internet cafe.

also could try a different browser like firefox or google chrome

I just changed mine and it worked successfully.

Did everything exactly as you told me to. it changes as it usually does but when i go out or close farmtown down and go back my name is back to Pat I tried it on 3 different computers Ihave tried it on EI, Google Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. I have emptied all my caches macromedia files everything I can think of and it always goes back to Pat I never put that name to b used. I t all started the day ft went down to do that fb update when ft came back my name was changed to pat and i had never used pat on farmtown. go figure i did send a note to the developers but no reply. that is y i have said it seems like nobody seems to care. a couple of moderators went on my site when i was changing the name all the time and said it was not pat but slimpat 5x5 combine all tools do not know if it shows up now that way or not but friends and neighbors say it is just pat.

Thank you I hope this helps you to help me I have thought of deleating farmtown and redoing it but I would hate to have to start all over again cuse I have spent lots of money as I have been a member since early to mid 2009 also do not know how to do that anyway.

you could try blocking farm town and then un blocking it that may work.

blocking farmtown does not reset your farm it will remain the same the only thing you need to do is accept any outstanding gifts as you will lose those if you dont accept them.

then unblock farmtown and try changing your name again.

This is not really a huge problem, but ever since FT had to shut down a few days ago, due to FaceBook "maintenance", my neighbor bar is showing only their avatar picture, FT avatar name, xp's, etc., and the white generic FB picture....not their real profile picture. I have cleared my cache, macromedia files, reloaded, etc. and just wondered if there was anything else I could try to get their REAL profile picture back??

nope never changed my fb name it is still the same as when i first joined thanks for the suggestion

the only time i notice this happening is only when working on someones farm that that particular neighbours pic will be blank the rest will still show there fb pic.

Have you updated flash player?

Hi create a post say from your facilities

then go to your profile and top right there will be a privacy button just above the post.

select remove farmtown

then go to your facebook privacy settings and down the bottom is manage blocking and then remove farmtown from the blocked apps or easier still click on the post you created earlier and it will take you back to farmtown.
