While I am thrilled to get more land, especially a second farm, I agree with many others who have posted that 3million is really steep and out of reach of many. Most people have a life outside of FT! For that amount we should at least get the largest size. As many have said, we can second farms for free. It's great that they are linked, but I wish you would reconsider the cost. I am going to wait until all the bugs are out before even considering it.

Any changes are announced in news and anncoucements. I believe that the "second" farm will probably be it for a while unless otherwise annoiunced. So watch news and announcements every few days, that will keep you informed.

Humm...that happened to me one time and the solution I gave you did it. With the overloaded servers for the FT application at the moment, it may be a matter of just waiting it out. It does sound like an adobe flash problem to me.

If it doesn't clear in a few hours, post your issue in the help forum.

only issue is that im losing workers on the second farm you can't have workers working both farms at same time they disappear on you they're there you just can't see them no matteryou do refresh etc working mainfarm wf20 which is timing out every 5-10 min or is it something else that i need to knoweverything else seems to work ok is there a trick to transfer animals? also why when you click the link it shows me a level1 do i hve to update link as i post?

Don't look at it as having 2 farms, but 2 fields in one farm. What you choose to do in those fields is up to you, crops on one and Home on the other, or a bit of both on both. They are both next to each other accessed through the one farm account page. They share money, xps, neighbour etc, so you have been given another field for your farm.

So are we going to be able to get back the lost points? I just lost another 112 points. It gives you the correct amount and then when you leave the farm it subtracts. I don't care so much about the coins but I certainly want the points back. Thanks


hey this issue should be fixed i was renovating my sisters farm and just bought a lot of river and river corner even a river with a windmill on it and to my surprise the XP wasnt credited...her level was supposedly be upgraded to...hope actions and solution will be taken...thanks...:confused::confused::confused:

Actually it's working now; it wasn't before. For some reason there seems to be a delay in just about everything - I couldn't upgrade for hours after buying the farm, and I couldn't see these diamonds earlier but they're there now.

At least I know how to get to people's second farms to water flowers now! Thanks!

Update: It's working on and off. One of my friends has two farms, and I can sometimes see the diamonds at the top of the page when I'm at her farm but I usually can't.

Not at all obvious if you read the farmville forums.

There are many complaints there about the small farm size. The farms are smaller then farmtown, and there is no remove space between plots option which makes them even smaller.

As I remember, all crops under 1 day are only 1 experience point in farmville. They finally have storage but it is very limited unless you use the farmville dollars to purchase it. There are the usual complaints on lost experience, lost items, not being able to get into the game, lost gifts etc.

Between the two, farm town has better game play, and more options, and doesn't have as high of requirements for many of the options that they both share. Further, quite a few players complain about the high point requirements for some of the achievments and/or crop mastery. Why? Because some are unrealistic.

Zygna is perhaps better at promoting farmville, mainly because they can and do use games like Mafia Wars to promote it. Oh, and farmville is also playable through farmville.com. Confusing if you receive a farmville.com only gift and it takes you there without warning from facebook.

Zygna isn't doing anything "better" nor are there developers listening more, they do what they expect will earn them the most profits.

I totally agree, Farmtown is much better than Farmville. Now, farmville does have 1, 2, 3, and 4 day crops, and also have 2, 4, 6, and 8 hour crops. And you do get 1 - 2 exp points depending on how many days for the crops to be ready. But you only get 1 exp when you plow and harvest instead of 2. You also can't hide the trees or buildings, you can't chat to people that are on there and you can't hire people to work at your farms. I do play both games, and Farmtown wins hands down. I also understand that in order for the devs to give us more land on our current farms may be too much for the flashplayer. I still would like for the devs and adobe devs to see if there was a way that they can get the flashplayer to handle that much load. Also with the RAM, it may be time for some to either upgrade or just purchase another computer.

I was really excited about the land announcement. Then I read that it is not a bigger farm, but another farm. I felt like I got punched in the gut. I've been waiting for room to design my farm the way I wanted, not a "closet" to plant my crops.

I have the coins and the XP to buy it, so I may anyway. But seriously, if we don't get a chance to get bigger farms, I may just quit.

Yes Smudleysmom, I had that problem, but when I can back the next day all the trees I had purchased were there. So it just too a refreshing maybe. It was the avocado trees that did that.

I don't think your team is really aware of what people were requesting. They were requesting to get larger farms. While being able to add a new farm is a nice feature it's hardly worth the coins to buy when the storage capacity, coins and cash are shared with the other farm. If the second farm had been independent and had it's own storage, coin and cash reserves it would have been worth it. As it is I will not waste my coin in purchasing the additional farm. I would come out far more ahead by creating a second facebook or myspace account and starting a second farm. Thanks for the thought though.

Many of you may not have been here long enough to know but...... When the price and EXP requirements for your original farm was set, it was WAYYYYY harder to get coins and EXP.

Harvesting was extremely slow, hard to aim and catch the field to click it, and was harvested one plot at a time while you waited and your avatar kept going for long unplanned walks around the farm and you had to wait for it to slowly return going AROUND fences, rivers, and hedges (not through them) before you could click the next field.

We were also not ABLE to plow any farm except our own.

It is so much easier to earn coins now by a mile. I've literally earned a million coins per day numerous times.

There were no raspberries then either - nor pineapples, blueberries, or peppers. The best you could hope for was pumpkins. The shortest crop was 4 hours. And you had to plow your OWN field one square at a time while waiting for your avatar to finish each square before you could move to the next one.

The rise in price of the new farm may reflect how much EASIER it is to earn the requirements than it was then.

I sound like an OLD-timer....but it was only back in JULY!!! Farmtown has come a LONG way in a short time.

This release will be completed in phases, right now only 50% of the users have it, we will be monitoring the load closely and will be releasing the new version for the rest of the users over the next couple of days.

The new farm, and all land upgrades for Farm 1 and Farm 2 are now available in both, coins and farm cash.

To switch between your farms, use the Farm Selector tool on the top left, near the coins.

To move items between your farms you can use the Item Storage until we release an easier way later on. You can now add trees to the Item Storage as well.

When you hire others, you now need to select the target farm where employees are going to work. If you want them to work on your other farm as well, you will have to hire them again.

Everything is shared between farms: neighbours, coins, cash, xp, trophies, etc.

Holiday items are comming early next week.

After this we are going to focus for a while on the issues with the lost coins/xp when working for others, which seems to be happening to some users...

Raul, I am glad you are going to finally focus on lost XP points. This is my 5th or 6th time in the last 2 months, reporting I continue to lose valuable XP points. This morning I lost 360 points. To try and avoid this, I left the farm only after my avatar was well finishied and had collected all points. I went to the marketplace. I saved my changes and went home. Upon arriving on my farm, I had lost 360 XP points. It's a shame, because more and more of us are turning to FarmVille where such problems do not seem to exist. You obviously haven't read most of the posts that refer to the land expansion. The servers, flash, and computers could not handle the overload. Plus the screen resolutions could not give you an accurate visual of your entire farm. And even in full screen your items and graphic elements would be very small. Storage, coins, points, and elements are shared by both farms. You put items you want to move to new farm into storage remove at new farm. Animals cannot at this time be moved.

And the devs thinking about us was a kind thing, they didn't have to do any of the research to add a new farm for our enjoyment rather than overload servers and our computers, but they did.

Thanks for fixing the xp bar for 35+ levels to show need xp to level up. Ive grown quite fond of that little tool. Im happy to hear you will be concentrating on the core aspects of the game again as well. The upgrades are all find and dandy but if basic game play doesnt work whats the point?

To all those moaning about how much it costs, did you mind that the mansion was a million or the manor was 2 million?! You can earn nothing out of those, whereas the land gives you more crop space to play with and increase your income!

And look at it as having a new field for your farm, it doesn't have to be another farm, as it is linked to the first with same coins, xps and neighbours. So quit moaning and enjoy the game!

Yes, you need to be level 44.

I'm loving this update. For a long time, all I did was come back every couple of days to plant some pumpkins and that was it. I made over 6 million that way, so getting the new farm wasn't hard. Leveling up was though, I've gotten lazy! xD

AT first I wasn't happy about a second farm since I wanted more land for my first farm, but the idea of using it just as a crop farm appeals from the standpoint that I can make more money faster that way. I do feel it's way too expensive though and the level required is also high.

I don't think your team is really aware of what people were requesting. They were requesting to get larger farms. While being able to add a new farm is a nice feature it's hardly worth the coins to buy when the storage capacity, coins and cash are shared with the other farm. If the second farm had been independent and had it's own storage, coin and cash reserves it would have been worth it. As it is I will not waste my coin in purchasing the additional farm. I would come out far more ahead by creating a second facebook or myspace account and starting a second farm. Thanks for the thought though.

I think the devs are very aware of what people were asking for when they said they wanted more land. I also think that they know it isn't possible and still have people enjoy the game. Sure, they could probably do it, then everyone would ***** and moan when it didn't work. Some people will just never be happy. At least doing it this way you can share all coins and experience between the two farms. I for one love it and will spend even more coins if they would allow us a third or even a forth farm. I can't take those virtual coins to the big bank in the sky with me, so I might as well enjoy them while I can. I spent 6.5 million coins yesterday and am already back to 1 million so it isn't impossible to raise the coin.

Being a long time player of this game, i am disappointed we can't add any land to our existing farms, I understand there are complications with the flash player & its limits, what ticks me off is the lack of communication from Raul or Bert, or whoever does the announcements. I have seen posts from moderators that the game can't handle bigger farms, why cant a developer come out and tell us this, so its not second hand news. Raul hinted a coupla times a bout the possibility of more land, to me that meant add to existing farms, not a second farm. the lack of communication is now what is causing the majority of complaints. I for one was preparing for more land. i have multiple farms, i have very little room for crops on any, as I built what i think are cool looking farms, It is going to take me many months to get 3 million bucks unless i delete all and start over. Just not up to that task.
I'm gonna start some new farms from scratch, and start the process all over.

I would like also to say, it's great we got new levels & many more really cool toys to play with, there will be less "cookie cutter" farms now. keep up the good work & i will never say I'm quitting, i love the game too much to be a quitter. oh by the way Farmville sux lol :eek:

I am very happy with the new upgrades and have happily purchased a second farm. As far as enlarging the one I have - no desire to do so. My original farm is as big as allowed and it takes some time to load up as it is. A bigger one might just cause my browser to crash. I love the upgrades and happily wait for the Christmas decorations.

I'd like to add my voice to those who love the new 2nd farm option. I'm one of those who have a 2nd Facebook acct. just so I could have a 2nd farm. On my other account, not the one that's linked here, bought the 2nd farm. It's perfect, because the 1st one had been converted to a park with a beach at the bottom. I didn't really want to mess with that by adding more land at the bottom!! Having another farm on the same account with a higher level and more neighbors means I'll eventually retire my 2nd account.

I'm just glad that a neighbor and I began to "race" to see who could hit 10 million first. It meant we both hit level 44 and nearly 5 million coins just in time for purchasing a new farm.

I am a fan of this game but very disappointed when I lose all my XPs and 3/4 of my points everytime I am on someone's farm. This has been happening for 3 weeks now. Today for example, I has 74467 XPs when I left the farm, as soon as I clicked home, I lost them all now I am back to 74109. It's like I did all that gaming for nothing.

Please help, it's really ruining the game.

I bought the 2nd farm and an upgrade went smoothly but then went to upgrade again and ate my coins :( ~ so tried it again and ate that one too :( so I bought 3 of the same 14 x 14 upgrade ~ then logged out and came back in and bought the next bigger one and that one worked but I paid triple for the 14 X 14. You obviously haven't read most of the posts that refer to the land expansion. The servers, flash, and computers could not handle the overload. Plus the screen resolutions could not give you an accurate visual of your entire farm. And even in full screen your items and graphic elements would be very small. Storage, coins, points, and elements are shared by both farms. You put items you want to move to new farm into storage remove at new farm. Animals cannot at this time be moved.

And the devs thinking about us was a kind thing, they didn't have to do any of the research to add a new farm for our enjoyment rather than overload servers and our computers, but they did.

You are correct Ms. Winters, I did not read all the posts. I was addressing the OP and not every post that has been made. Thank you for advising me of the inherent problems though. In any case I can't see paying that amount in coin for "shared" storage, coins and points. I come out much farther ahead by creating an additional account and starting a completely separate second farm with the first one as a neighbor. It gives me more coin, storage and points with the additional perk that I can gift myself if I choose to. This would seem to be a much more practical use of bandwidth. Thanks again to the developers for trying.

I have been playing this game for a while, and I have 11 million coins. I work at alot of farms and love doing it. I will be buying my second farm soon and will love redoing it and the first one also. I think that everyone needs to remember....THIS IS A FREE GAME PEOPLE....FREE. I can't get over all the complaints. Just have fun and don't be in a hurry to have it all really fast. I don't know what everyone is complaining about....use the second farm to grow crops from corner to corner...make lots of money and XP's then use the other farm to decorate without having to worry to much about having enough crop space. It would be hard to expand the orginal farm space as people would need lots of RAM and also to see it all on screen would be a big problem.

Why even say goodby - just leave! Go play FarmVille were the max size is 22x22 but you have the great pleasure of getting strawberry milk from pink cows and paying real cash for your gas:)

The second farm is working great and a big "thank you" to the developers. I don't think the computer graphics would have worked very good with a farm size bigger than the max now. Transferring stuff back and forth works fine.

I think the majority of the people making complaints about this new update didn't even bother to fully read the update.

I am thrilled, ill be able to downsize my fields on my main farm and create my own cool world of decorations, and make my second one into a massive pineapple money-making machine.

Once you get up to that level, you should have more than enough money to play for the initial 3 million investment, if you have played the game the right way. Some people buy and then immediately sell expensive buildings only for the XP boost, then whine when they have no money. Really people?

(And if I understand correctly, after you make that initial 3 million investment, the secondary farm size updates are relatively inexpensive. Something like 100,000 per size upgrade or so.... I think...)

You ungrateful whiners can go to FarmVille for all I care. That game seems to cater to people closer to your mental age anyway.

I love the idea of an extension to my original farm. I suggested a "page 2" to our farms instead of more land....more land would be a nuisance but to be able to move things around from one to the other is perfect....Thanks devs and mods for all the hard work that went into all the upgrades...the whiners are just that.....whiners! LOVE the ability to add a new farm - found it very easy to store equipment (plower, seeder, etc) from my first farm and use it on the second!

My problem is I bought a big farmhouse for my second farm and can't see it. Looks like it's there as I tried to add another big farmhouse and the whole area where I placed it was "red" (like something was there). Any suggestions???

Always keep in mind, this stuff is free! My thanks to the developers who've done the work to make Farm Town more fun! I was at Level 34 with $5 million and nothing to do - now I have someplace to grow! Thanks much all!

:)Oh I am very happy with the second farm thing. I think it is sooooo neat how we can start another farm all over again. No complaints here as far as that goes. I just wish that I would not lose XP points or coins when I am out working on a farm. All day long yesterday and again today I lost XP points. I know that this is a beta game so there are going to be loads of bugs. Just anxious to get to the next level(s) so I can buy those beautiful trees. I must have bought over 200 trees for my farm. I am hoping tomorrow I can get the second farm so I can turn one into a fruit tree farm and the other into a regular farm. Of course I cannot wait till I get to purchase a Manor.

It should be expensive. If everyone gets the second farm, it increases the load on the servers. Can you imagine the chaos if ever FT user suddenly got the extra farm? This way they at least can pace is better.

Thats exactly what they did give you. The two farms share resources completely. Any XP or coins you gain in each farm all go to the same main pool.

This way, you can significantly downsize, if not eliminate fields completely from your main farm, and relegate the moneymaking/farming to the other farm.

And I dont think anybody should feel bad for you on here because of that sob story you just posted. 3 million coins is not a lot. You don't have to purchase a thing on here to obtain your new farm anyway. Most everything can be bought with coins.

So you tell the developers to get real? The only one who needs to get real and get a grip are people saying stuff like you.... Oy.

Except for my large greenhouse and my second farm, everything I have has been from coins. I don't think it looks lesser than the cash stuff at all. And the greenhouse was with FC that I was given.

am over the moon with an extra farm thanks guys but can anyone tell me why i am getting charged to take things out of storage to put on second farm? have i missed something ?moved four blossom trees and each one went up in price as i moved them? 30 -65 coins didnt actually note what i got charged for moving big farm house as this was first item i moved.

Am I understanding you correctly? You are being charged each time you take something out of storage between your farm and the new extension? That doesn't sound like sharing to me.

They either don't make the trip back to my farm or they disappear after I return to my farm. This happens even when I stay on the farm that hired me until all the plowed fields play through.

Not a major problem except that it is a problem.

I have in a number of instances lately, lost a few XP's when leaving a Farm after plowing for someone. The numbers vary with the maximum caught being between 175 to 180 points and usually in the 40 or 50 point range.

Can't seem to find a way to stop it!

actually i believe you need to uninstall your flash player then clear your cache then reboot your pc then install the newest version of Flash player then reboot your pc again.... but check with a moderator to see if I am correct....

I've been having issues losing coins, and recently found that the big seeder & big harvester do not work properly on my farm. I bought both pieces of equipment and it worked the 1st day I purchased it. After that day it only will seed or harvest one plot at a time, but yet still using fuel as if 4 plots have been seeded or plowed. WOW, I sold both pieces of equipment for the miserly amounts. Was convinced by a farm neighbor that the equipment is now working, just now purchased the seeder again........and it only seeds one plot at a time and still using fuel. DANG....HELP ME PLEASE.

Many of you may not have been here long enough to know but...... When the price and EXP requirements for your original farm was set, it was WAYYYYY harder to get coins and EXP.

Harvesting was extremely slow, hard to aim and catch the field to click it, and was harvested one plot at a time while you waited and your avatar kept going for long unplanned walks around the farm and you had to wait for it to slowly return going AROUND fences, rivers, and hedges (not through them) before you could click the next field.

We were also not ABLE to plow any farm except our own.

It is so much easier to earn coins now by a mile. I've literally earned a million coins per day numerous times.

There were no raspberries then either - nor pineapples, blueberries, or peppers. The best you could hope for was pumpkins. The shortest crop was 4 hours. And you had to plow your OWN field one square at a time while waiting for your avatar to finish each square before you could move to the next one.

The rise in price of the new farm may reflect how much EASIER it is to earn the requirements than it was then.

I sound like an OLD-timer....but it was only back in JULY!!! Farmtown has come a LONG way in a short time.

You are so right...... it is so much easier to earn coins now than when the game first started. I totally agree with you.....
Plus guys I think the have fixed the problem with loosing exp points and coins. at least on my end it is working .. I may be sorry for saying that and I may go back to loosing them though LOL but I hope not....almost ready to expand my 2nd farm which I named "My Secret Garden" cause it is just that.
and with the secret garden you can just grow crops on that and let it pay for all your decorations on your first farm.. so what is so bad about that? give it a break people and stop complaining oh please..... Great job Raul and team......thanks from this Georgia farm girl......

Ok, wasn't happy about first upgrade of levels since it managed to lose about 4000 of my XP (was counting moments to get to mansion, and it got further, not closer) But latest upgrade has cause bizzare things. 3 times lost full field of plowing. Today, harvested full field then got hired to plow, whoosh, all plants came back ... this happened both on my farm and with my friend who hired me... In other words, it took close to 3 hours to harvest 2 silly farms!!! and still crossing fingers they stay planted!

There's a technique using dirt path pieces and some moving things around to get that done. If you can't find it, Google "How to make a waterfall in Farm Town" There's a really good, detailed and easy to follow, video out there by a guy called Wiseman.

Try a little appreciation for the people who put in a lot of work , creating a game, and trying to please a lot of very different people. When I go to the refuel icon and click on it I am informed that I must own a seeder or harvester to use this option. I have even put the harvester on one farm and the seeder on the other with no change. The fuel level icon has also disappeared when this issue occurs. I have closed farmtown with no difference; closed facebook with no difference; internet explorer with no difference; and even restarted the whole computer with no change. I have 3 gigs of ram and no other issues on any other facebook features and did not have this issue until I got the second farm.

I've had this problem, too. Refresh your screen and then it should work. Sometimes it takes actually leaving your farm town and then coming back. I hope the developers get this glitch fixed soon.

You visit your friends farm and click one of the diamonds in the upper left corner. Chances are it will have your farm or second farm name when your cursor hovers over it but it does take you to your friends' 2nd. If there are no diamonds up at the top, your friend or neighbor has not purchased a second farm. Hope this helps :)

I'm seeing some of the merit to the second farm, but I'm gonna wait until they get the coin problem fixed. I spent a lot of hours building up what I have and don't care to have waisted that time.

My poor kids are eating Happy meals again...... My dog is crossing his legs don't get to go for walks any more.. I have made a long leash and tied it to the boyfriends big tool box on the back porch so he can get out once in a while and the kids have to let him out oops forgot to feed the gold fish be right back LOL........

You satisfied a very small minority with the overblown 3 mil 2nd farm, but thousands have asked for Christmas.

i did get the option to buy another farm, but i am not interested in this.
i have been checking farm town every few days to see if we get to expand our farms, and growing 3 day crops.
but if this is an attempt to keep customers that can no longer expand it will not work with me.
i guess now i can stop bothering to check on farm town.
i am, glad there are several other farm programs that i enjoy that will take the place of this one.

Is there a farm program that will let you go bigger than 24x24? I haven't played them all but the other major one just recently got to 24x24 and has serious issues since then.

You have taken the fun factor from the game by cutting profit margin's and not correcting the ongoing Glitches and Failures as a whole. I planted plowed and harvested my farm's and instead of making coin to buy the new goodies ...it cost me more coin then I made...I have given it my best with several planting's but to realise you have slashed the amount of coin we make per harvest it just plain dumb on your part.

I know several players that are now considering leaving this game to go back to Farmville where at least they handle the Glitches first then the upgrades come after.

this game has too many Video Glitches, The new Crops are extreamly hard to harvest for some of us, somehow u have slowed down the ability to harvest fast and now takes forever to harvest anything ( again lowering our profit margins)
Plowing 1000 squares and only getting credit for 248 of them, Fix what you break before releasing what new items you create because if u continue on present NOTICED course ...your gonna have so many broken thing's that you wont fix anything.

I know of Several hundred players that are unhappy with your current course of inactions and non responciveness in the forums and in fixing the game,

me myself, this game has become a overglorified chat box to talk to friends on that have no other means of chatting. it used to be fun to play, now its just a time consumming chunk of glitched junk on the internet.

Ya it looks cool and the Graphics are decent but why bother playing? if as a player you cannot advance in a game?

I have done allot of Beta testing in my time on several hundred games, this game ranks maybe a 3 on a scale maxed at 10 being the best.

Fixes u need to fix, Experiance loss while Plowing on other farm's, Memory Bleed, CPU bleed, Server Disconects, Short timeout periods,loosing experiance and coins when returning home from other's Farm's(even after clicking save) and the list goes on...and on ....and on....

Plowing 1000 squares and only getting credit for 248 of them, Fix what you break before releasing what new items you create because if u continue on present NOTICED course ...your gonna have so many broken thing's that you wont fix anything.

I know of Several hundred players that are unhappy with your current course of inactions and non responciveness in the forums and in fixing the game,

me myself, this game has become a overglorified chat box to talk to friends on that have no other means of chatting. it used to be fun to play, now its just a time consumming chunk of glitched junk on the internet.

Ya it looks cool and the Graphics are decent but why bother playing? if as a player you cannot advance in a game?

I have done allot of Beta testing in my time on several hundred games, this game ranks maybe a 3 on a scale maxed at 10 being the best.

Fixes u need to fix, Experiance loss while Plowing on other farm's, Memory Bleed, CPU bleed, Server Disconects, Short timeout periods,loosing experiance and coins when returning home from other's Farm's(even after clicking save) and the list goes on...and on ....and on....

I have never personally seen memory or cpu problems on Farmtown. CPU generally runs less than 10% and memory around 10M. Compare that to a Zynga game such as Cafe World where the memory runs around 1G and CPU usage around 100%. Could be computer specs. Maybe invest in one with a spell check too.

my credits on top of my page has slippped down about an inch and when I go to a nieghbors farm the message page is on top of the chat section on the bottom of the page. Is this a clitch and what can I do about it
I've had the message over the chat box problem for quite some time. This isn't a fix but it will get it out of the chat box.
Move your cursor to the side of your screen off of the farm screen. Press the control key on your keyboard and adjust the scroll button on your mouse just a notch and that should move the message line up from the chat box. :)

I have NO problem paying 3 mil for a 2nd farm. Matter of fact, I'm only roughly 500,000 C's and 1 level away. HOWEVER, I can NOT get there when I'm losing coins & XP's!!! I can NOT advance and enjoy the game as I should be able to.

HI , Love Farmtown, but since you added new levels, I can't use my seeders, they will only plant 1 field at a time now. I have plenty of fuel, that it does still use. Also having problems plowing since then. sometimes it'll plow the field and the next field it'll turn to grass and then I can never get that field to plow. The square that highlights over the field to plow stays red. I don't know what's going on here, I'd sure would love to buy a second farm, but if i can't plow, how i'm I to farm. turn your trees off, then press play. go to the prefrence tab and make sure "remove spaces" has a check mark next to it.

try to plow again and see what happens.

I am very excited to know that we can finally expand our farm property, however I think the price is Ridiculous for the property. No matter how much money I have, I would never spend that $3 Million on it.... And I do believe that I am a wealthy farmer. I wonder how many others feel the same? I have discussed it with my neighbors and they all seem to feel the same way.

Yeah, the coins required for land expansion on the second farm are heftier than the farms we all started out with. But IMO it's well worth the coins you have to spend. By the time you're of a level high enough to buy a second farm, you should be well-set in coinage (Unless your original farm is designed as something other than a working farm ie: artwork, all gardens, etc.) You should be able to afford at least the 3 million. YMMV of course, and I know lots of farmers who spend their crop money as fast as they make it. But so many farmers squirrel their coins away.

I was about a million short when the release came out, and like a little kid, I wanted that second farm, immediately. <g> I ended up buying the farm cash necessary to get it ($120 Farm Cash). I don't regret doing that at all. It cost me $20 and I consider it well-spent money to get my other farm. Plus it's like a little donation to the game, They Who Have Given Me So Many Hours of Fun!

Again, YMMV.
