How do I harvest animals?

To harvest animals, you will need the buildings that will harvest them.

For cows and goats, you need the dairy shed.

For llamas and sheep, you need the wool shed.

For hens, turkeys, geese, peacocks and ostrich you need the chicken coop.

For horses, clydesdale and camels you need the stable.

For rabbits you need the rabbit hutch.

For pigs you need the pig sty.
NOTE: you cannot harvest pigs until you own a manure spreader as the manure harvested from pigs gets stored with the manure spreader.

You will need the buildings and the animals. Then when it is 100% you can harvest by clicking the building and selecting 'harvest animals'. Or, you can open the Facility Manager and click on the "Harvest Animals" button next to each building.

https://r1.slashkey.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=13662&pictureid=33442

The chicken coop you can harvest 1 time per day, the dairy shed it takes every 8 hours, pigsty every 12 hours, wool shed every 2 days, stables every 2 days and rabbit hutch every 2 days. Super sheds hold more animals and can be harvested sooner than regular sheds. The super dairy shed is still 8 hours to harvest.

An easy way to Harvest all your animal sheds without having to go to each farm, is to use the Facility Manager (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?p=6298322#post6298322). You can set it to just show you animal sheds on all farms and then harvest each one. It is also a quick way to find out how many animals you have in each shed and which farms they are on.

For a faster way to Harvest All animals in All sheds on All farms, with one click, from the Facility Manager, you can buy the Animal Harvesters (https://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?p=5660570#post5660570).

Where do I get the animals?

Some Animals can ONLY be sent as gifts to you, by your farming friends:

Hens can be harvested to get hen eggs.
Goats can be harvested to get goats milk.
Cows can be harvested to get cows milk.
Geese can be harvested to get goose eggs.
Turkeys can be harvested to get Turkey feathers.
Pigs produce manure BUT you will also need a pigsty and a manure spreader before you can harvest the pigs.
Brown horse can be harvested to get horsehair.
Clydesdales can be harvested to get horsehair.

You can purchase some Animals from the Store.
Some will cost coins, some cost Farm Cash to buy
When you are starting out it's best to try to save your Farm Cash and buy coin animals first.
Those that cost Farm Cash to buy will produce more products than a coin bought animal.

Leghorn Hens cost Farm Cash (Hen eggs)

Holstein Cows cost Farm Cash (Cows milk)

Sheep can be bought from the store. Longwool Sheep cost Farm Cash to buy. Both can be harvested to get sheep's wool.

Llamas can be bought from the store. Heavywool Llamas cost Farm Cash to buy. Both can be harvested to get llama wool.

White rabbits can be bought from the store, produces white rabbit fleece). The Bunny is decorative and does not produce fleece.

Peacocks can be bought from the store. (peacock feathers)

Ostrich can be bought from the store. (ostrich feathers)

Camels can be bought from the store (Camel milk)

There are also decorative animals which do not produce anything in both the Animal section of the store and in other sections of the store which are for decoration purposes.

Please make sure you are buying the correct animal for your needs :)

These are all the animals that can produce products when harvested:
