Hi there. The problem has been passed on to the developers and will hopefully be fixed soon. :)

oh no you cant say you are disappointed! the poeple on the boards here will smack you,,lol.. we are only allowed to express GOOD AND GRACIOUS COMMENTS, otherwise someone will be mad,,lol lol..

Feel free to express constructive input. However, being upset because you have to have something that you don't have to play the way you want is not constructive. Not when everyone has the same opportunities to get these same items. If you go back as far as possible in the forum you will find post about being mad because they don't want to spend money to play the game. After all this time if they are still issuing items that require Farm Cash it probably is not going to change.

also not sure if it has been mentioned adding horses to the "Horse Arena" is not working yet have used different horses and have "un froze animals".. have refreshed.... it will be working soon i am sure.. going to try getting a new horse from my gifts and see if that will work.

I just tried putting a horse in the Horse Training Arena, but instead of being INSIDE the arena, it is UNDER the arena. You can see what I mean, on farm 4. Just hide the arena and you will find the horse...lol. :p

Any chance that can be fixed?

I have been searching for a menu on the new fac. today. I would like to see the profit on the items that they make before I purchase them. Does anyone know where to look? I have looked in a few different places and have had NO luck.. Thank you..

If you go to the main page of the forum there is a section called game guide. If you go into that thread you find that there are chapters there explaining every aspect of the game. I can't remember the chapter number off of the top of my head but there is a chapter there that will provide you with all the information about all of the facilities that you should need to make a sound choice in deciding which ones will give you the best return on your investment. I hope this helps, Happy Farming! :)

First, THANK YOU for the update! It is awesome and I am so excited about the levels and 6th farm coming soon. Second, Can I change the ice cream and confectionery shop views that I already own? I don't see the option

Those two facilities have not been changed yet so there is no alternative view for them. I am hoping that we will have some for those facilities and the bakery soon. They have done such a wonderful job on making the majority of the facilities so pretty that I can't wait to see what they come up next!

The changes are great. I agree withMiz Lisa that the decorations need upgrading. Thanks a million. I do have a question. In the paths section are there ny sidewalks? Again thanks

The paths that look like sidewalks are only available through gifts from your neighbors. There is a set out there it is just not available in the store.

Nice update. Love the new flowers, am eager to see how they look when grown. Still wish we had some non-flowering decorative plants like ferns - maybe someday. A couple of things I especially appreciate that haven't been mentioned much are the fact that vertical toolbars now disappear after selecting a tool (they were really getting in the way, especially after more items were added to them), and also I see there is now a preference for "highlight fertilized crops" - which I assume means you can turn off the glow. I don't have a manure spreader yet, but the glowing crops were making me reluctant to consider it. Having an Italian restaurant is very cool; I hope you consider adding a Chinese one someday, that uses ginger, peanuts, soy sauce, etc. Thanks for all the great work.

Thanks again for the update. Great work once again by the devs on this great game! The new flowers add a lot of different flavors to the game and lots of decorations to the game! I love them all! There are SO many new ones to pick from, it's hard to know which ones to use to decorate my farms! The new decorations are fabulous and the new alternative farm selection is great. The newly designed factories are much more professional looking - a total home run!
The tree chopper is a great idea, but again, WHY does it have to cost so much FC to get these things??? I find it hard to get that much cash and it bothers me that people want me to pay real money to play a FREE game??? Same with the jewelery factory and the pasta restaurant... why give us the basic factories to make new, excellent products, and then charge THAT Much for something extra to be able to use that I make. I find that quiet an offensive rip-off of my time and money... as I don't have a lot as I am a student in school.
That said, the factory ideas are WONDERFUL and they are a lot of fun to have to add to my farm. Thanks for the new developmests and hte hard work. Cannot wait for Farm #6 and more levels... thanks devs... :D :D :D

It is possible to get Farm Cash for free. Up at the top of the game window there is a link that says earn cash or coins. If you go to that page there a number of free offers that you can do in order to get FC for free. To date I have earned over 200 and not spent a single dime to get them. Hopefully this will help you out some and allow you to get some of the FC only items that you would like.

Thanks for a great update! I hope you spend the money i used for FC to buy some good food and a bottle of wine to celebrate, because you deserve it, i gladly pay for such a great game! <3

Just have one issue, when im using the big seeder along the edges of a field it jumps over to my other fields even if i have space between them, had to delete and replow quite a bit today, is that intended (if so i guess i have to get used to a different pattern when planting my crops) or is it a bug? I know the big bulldozer does the same thing but the seeder never did before.

i know farmer rabbit i was so excited to see the new flowers! you are right about the irises! i am from south louisiana and i have them planted everywhere!
Cool!! We probably live right next door to each other :)

Sure has been a week of hurricane anniversaries here. So glad we have not had one this year, though we'd better keep an eye out & a prayer in the air.

Love the new stuff. Can we now have a place to put the cats? Or maybe some rabbit holes to hide the bunnies in? Or maybe a furrier where we could make rabbit pelts and then you could add rabbit coats or hats to the sewing facility.

I was thinking that maybe we could add the bunnies to the wool shed and make angora items for their fur. Just a thought. :)

me too, and i'm not happy about it. Fix the bulldozer!!!!

the devs have been made aware of the problem with the bulldozers not working correctly. They are working on correcting it as fast as possible (like they always do with glitches).

We go to the movie, for two of us with popcorn, drinks and tickets it cost us well over $20. We watch the movie, come home and it is over. It's fun but we are left with nothing to show for it. I pay $19.99 for $120. FC and I can enjoy what I purchase every day. I love Farm Town. Figure it up, it's really pretty cheap entertainment. Thank you to the devs for all their hard work and all the wonderful things they continue to create for us. FARM TOWN ROCKS!!!

Just harvested my first farm that was fertilized. It worked great. I had about 900 squares of sugarcane planted and I got about 1800 from the harvest. The worker I hired didn't indicate one way or the other if he got double pay, so I don't know how things worked from that end.

Also, when I plowed and replanted, the farm is still fertilized just like it is supposed to be. So, especially with fast growing crops, you can get multiple plantings/harvests from one fertilization. Each fertilization is supposed to last 3 days. 50 pigs in a sty will get you 300 manure over a three day period. That will let you fertilize 6 farms (with each farm staying fertilized for 3 days). So, though the manure spreader is expensive, it is very efficient and worth every penny of the cost.

Oh yeah, if I understand correctly, as long as you fertilize before you harvest, your crop output will double. So, I think the best strategy would be to fertilize right before you harvest. That way the fertilization will last longer than if you fertilized as soon as you planted.

Crops have to be fertilized PRIOR to being ready to harvest. So if you want to maximize your fertilization you will have to do it about an hour or so before they should be ready. They do not have to show as fertilized when you harvest them as long as they were fertilized at some point during their growing cycle. I missed that tidbit of info initially so I thought I would throw that out there for anyone not up to speed on exactly how the spreader/fertilization process works. :)

"Horse Training Area now allows you to put some horses on it."

I can't get any horses "on it", they walk under it.

I do love the new flowers & the jewelry store...I don't care whether I make money on it or not, it's cute.

I don't have the training area or any horses but I am guessing that to get the horses to go into the training area you would have to select the horse and click on add to training area or however they worded it. That is how we add all the other animals to their respective buildings. Give this a try and see if that works for you. If not you might have more luck getting advise in the help and support section on how to correct the issue or find out if it is a glitch that the devs are working to correct.

I love the new flowers!:) Now I will have to sell a whole bunch to make room for the new ones! :( Thank you for the irises and pansies and violets! Thanks you Debbie!
Couldn't help myself so I bought the new pasta factory...hope it makes a ton of coins! I'm gonna need it for the 6th farm! Like the idea of the mine and jewelry store...what about harvesting sea shells from the coasts to add to the jewelry shop items?
Thanks to the devs for the new goodies!
P.S.
LAVENDER PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(to use in the natural remedies and flower shop)

there is no option to do that with the horses or the Arena I got the Arena soon as it came out....... this ability to add them to it is a new feature added in this update.. I think what the person meant to say is that it takes two fields of wheat to make one unit of flour (2:1). It would be nice if it only took one field of wheat to make one unit of flour (1:1) - like sugarcane and sugar. It's also the case that it takes two fields of corn to make one unit of corn flour, but more products in the facilities require wheat than corn, so you hear more laments regarding the wheat.

Thought I'd throw in (from someone that grinds her own flour) that the volume actually doubles after grinding. So "realistically" for every one (whatever the unit of the game is) of wheat we should have TWO flours.

Love the new updates, thanks so much. I also had to give up other FB games to play FT....lol But hey they where boring anyway! Bought all the updates, I don't mind spending a small amount of cash for a fun game. Thanks so much for the chainsaw, my hands thank you very much!

Thanks Deb for the flowers I have planted lots of them, they look beautiful, can't wait until they flower :)

Can't wait to see what is in store for the future, I am sure it will be something that has been suggested by the other Ft Addicts out there.

Cheers have a good day from Oz...........Chez

Well said Debbie. Great job on the flowers. I'm still hoping to get some people to populate our farms. Might you be working on something like this?

Merian, Thank you. I actually about a week ago after reading some requests for people have started to dabble with it a bit. LOL it is been a little tough in finding a model I have been happy with. MOSTLY it will be up to Raul and Team as to the things they accept from me and choose to use. They are as you all know very open and receptive :::smile::: I have several ideas also lol so I do hope I will be able to offer some more things to the game. It is amazing though the amount of time that goes into each thing.

I totally agree, but have a question .... Where in heck do you live that two people can see a movie, and get popcorn AND drinks ??? LOL !! Our adult tickets are 9.50 each ..... To get a large popcorn to split and a drink each puts us close to 30.00 .... LOL !!

I will CONTINUE to spend real money on this game, because when I close down the browser for the night, I come back the next day and CONTINUE to get enjoyment out of it ! If I go out for the evening, say at our local Legion, I spend a chunk of money (drinks, juke box, gratuity) and the next day all I have is a hangover !! I am playing for a tad over a year now ... and I just love it! Farm Town is my escape, and my relaxation. Thank you Devs !!!!!

Log Truck with Chainsaw,, to me this is a total waste! they should have added an option to have them HARVESTED BY FARMERS IN THE MARKET,, i bet they dont sell to many of these,, i wont but it thats for sure,, pasta???
omg now we need loads more of wheat, i mean we needed loads of wheat before! why add another factory which uses the same crop,
A soup factory would have been way better, look at all the seeds we could have used, even seeds that are not used now for anything,, i am disappointed in this update for sure,, the worst to date!

....and just earn 50 coins in the factory too... :( I have not calculate this, but I dont see the point like you.. more wheat! we dont have enough space to do it all...

Oh No! I'm very sad to see the Hide Decorations no longer hides tools. I loved to be able to hide everything, including the semi truck and have a perfectly clean area to farm. This was great for working for other people too.

I was able to hide all and plow all 32x32, right under the tools. You can't plow underneath tools when you nice them individually. I was very sorry to see this change to a previously awesome update.

PLEASE ADD a HIDE TOOLS OPTION... PLEASE!!!

Actually, you can fertilize when your crops are at 99% grown and you will get the double crop. I don't fertilize every three days, but every 5-6.

I think the best use it to plant short term crops during the first two and a half days, then a long term crop. Replant a long term, but don't fertilize until right at the end, then do short term crops again.

And, your workers earn twice as much, as well.

The manure spreader is the best thing since sliced bread. Thanks again to the DEVS for such a cool item and for listening to our suggestions. I know it's expensive but it is well worth it. I sound like I should be a salesman for it.

But, after having missed fertilizing a field before the crops hit 100%, I would suggest just keeping them fertilized every three days and don't worry about trying to time it out to maximize the use of the manure. Once your pigsty is full of pigs, you should have more manure than you will need (even allowing for the addition of several more farms). :)

I fertilise every three days whether the crops need it or not, otherwise I am liable to forget. Plus I prefer to have them all run out at the same time.

With 100 pigs in the shed, collecting twice a day, you get far more manure than you could ever need. I had double what I needed when I fertilised yesterday and will be adding more later.

It really is the best tool ever released on this game, I love it. :D

Because the pig stys are so small, it should be easy to find a home for two of them on two different farms.... and you can stock with up to 100 of the little piggy poopers.

I "harvest" the stuff regularly and fertilize farms whenever I don't see the (f) . Waiting until close to harvest time is not worth taking that chance when having lots of poop, I mean manure, available to scatter.

Overall, the crapcrop is great.... and there is virtually no smell.

Ok folks, PLEASE stop complaining about the FarmCash, and stop calling it unfair. It's your own choise!
It's not unfair!

When I sarted playing FT, I made some rules for my self, amongst them; "Never use real money to buy anything. Better to pay for the game itself."

Well, look at me now . . . a total addict, buying FC ever so often!!!
Of course the dev's want to have some kind of income!
And I don't go out to restaurants so often, so I don't need as many new clothes as before etc. etc. LOL

I also decided NOT to buy any flowers in FT, before we'd gotten some "one-click-waterer-item" - - - -well, yesterday I DID buy some of the new flowers, too!!
LOL
So, it's kind of farewell to all prinscples we've set for us self,. . . this game. :)

I have a few *seriuos*questions, though;
1. Is it possible, by any way, to send FarmCash to any neighbours we're helping out to level up??

and

2. After the two last up-grades of FT, I got some crash-report from Adobe Flash, all the time, that I've never gotten before.
What can I do about it??

I will be happy for any answers. Thanks in advance.

Now, off I go, to break some more of my own rules, I guess. :)

Happy farmer-day to you all!

Regards
Simera

:eek:School has started and I can't farm as much! :(HELP! Lesson plans or FT... Correcting papers or FT... which should I do?

(Thank you for the update.. yeah!):)

Your students need to be introduced to the period of American History when farms began to grow and farmers worked hard to bring in the crops. Perhaps a learning tool would be Farm Town:rolleyes: so that they will get a sense of how hard it is to grow (and how easy it is to complain).

In addition, you may be fertilizing some young mind and creating the desire for them to become future billionaires.

In addition, if all the students are each other's neighbors, think of the great family atmosphere you are creating. If you are "caught" on FT by a peer, simply explain your strategy.

One Pigsty with 100 pigs in it is way, way more than you need. If you put in multiple pig stys you will be swimming in piggy poo. I have one and my manure spreader maintains well more than 1000 units with all farms fertilized at all times. I had worked out a strategy at first to, for example, wait till corn was almost ready, then fertilize it. Now I don't worry about it, I just keep em fertilized all the time. Just remember to harvest the pig sty often.

It is still there, but not loading all the time. Something is up with the marketplace.

the 2 canopys are considered buildings, and the wagon is a decoration

you have to unhide them to see them.

wont do you any good tho if employers dont have theirs on too.
if they dont have them on - it wont matter where you stand

like you i always stood on the barrels too, but i never work out of the market anymore. all you get is chump change there.

everyone seems to wanna hire 6 ppl to do the same farm and its not worth my time or effort.
i stick to making money off my own farm and only hire neighbors to work for me cause everyone in the market seems to either go slow as hell, or they play the battleship game on your farm when they work taking pot-shots at B5, F7, G4, etc.
No one seems to know how to work neatly

Use the manure spreader to double the output of your fields. Essentially, that's like having 10 farms. When they add the 6th, that will be like having 12.I've read most of this thread and although I've seen approximately 50 complaints about the big dozer not working (which has been addressed and is being worked on) no one has asked about harvesting your own fertilized farms and not getting double. It works fine if someone else harvests for you but not if you do your own (for some people, although mine is working fine). Two friends are pretty upset by this but I think it's just a glitch right now. I'm correct, right?;)

BTW I love the new additions and can't wait for the 6th farm!

the 2 canopys are considered buildings, and the wagon is a decoration

you have to unhide them to see them.

wont do you any good tho if employers dont have theirs on too.
if they dont have them on - it wont matter where you stand

like you i always stood on the barrels too, but i never work out of the market anymore. all you get is chump change there.

everyone seems to wanna hire 6 ppl to do the same farm and its not worth my time or effort.
i stick to making money off my own farm and only hire neighbors to work for me cause everyone in the market seems to either go slow as hell, or they play the battleship game on your farm when they work taking pot-shots at B5, F7, G4, etc.
No one seems to know how to work neatly

I have gotten alot of good workers out of the marketplace. True, I have had a few bad ones, but all in all, I am very glad that we have the marketplace to get workers as I don't really have many neighbors that play that much or at least want extra work. I have had a few leave early by choice and probably sometimes not by choice and I have had a few pick and choose. I hire only one at a time, and on a rare occasion I will hire a second if the first person annoys me by their work. I am rarely in a hurry, so if they are just slow it does not bother me.

Also, I have in the past made plenty of coins off of working in the marketplace. Now with the fertilizing, one can make even more coins and more produce at the same time. If I wasn't already spending too much time on games, I would work the marketplace. You can always leave if you end up on a job that has hired too much help.

Thanks Randall......

came in here kind of half asleep and didn't go back to first post to look for the Dev's updates but here is what is on that in case anyone else comes here half asleep too LOL

*****Post launch fixes*****

- Big Bulldozer now deletes 3 types of fields, harvested fields, gone to waste and regular plow fields
- The Tools are not hidden when you hide all decorations
- There is a warning once per day, that alert you when you have decorations, buildings or other stuff hidden in the game, so you don't panic when you see all them gone without remembering why
- We discoreverd that the Horse Training Area item fix is not functioning as expected, this will take longer to fix, please ignore this functionality for the time being

Thanks

Nice to see new facilities and the flowers are just lovely. Will any of them be incorporated into the flower shop for production?

Yes please, there are so much we can do with the new flowers. Roses and yellow lillies are getting old. Have not bought the flower harvester because I don't know if it knows to only harvest roses, don't want all my flowers harvested and can't do a thing but sell them. I try to plant other flowers with the roses so my farm does not look bare, lol.

Oh I love you post, and yes no problem when you have that pigsty full of little piggies, the do their thing twice a day and you have plenty of manure to do the 5 farms at one time. I don't take a chance either of waiting till the last minute, once I don't see that (F) I run and fertilize.
I also have two dairy sheds, on two different farms and have all the milk that is required for the lattes, and ice cream.

Speaking of ice cream, when can we change the look of the ice cream factory and the confectionary one, they are ugly as ......... and don't go with the new ones that are so cute!!

Thanks

I love the new updates, and I love this game and have been playing a long time.. But SERIOUSLY? Adding something else that requires tomatoes?? I never have enough for the ONE facility that requires them. Even if I plant 4 full farms worth I have enough to load most of my facilities for one day. :( I am really disappointed in that. :(

Thank you all for your hard work, I truly love all the new updates... I just wish some things could be improved on... like Tomato...

Well for one thing, we should be using tomato sauce for pizza instead of whole tomatoes, guys, the tomato plant gives about 15 tomatoes each, by my count i think we are using a whole plant for everything we do that needs tomatoes. Like Jaided I can't seem to plant enough tomatoes to go around to all the things that need them... Any solution to that?

Strange.... the pizza requirements include tomatoes
and the pasta requirements call for tomato sauce..... hhmmm

Maybe with the new levels/farm(s), there will be other "fixes" to address this.

I had no need for tomatoes until I got the pasta factory and then the restaurant - had to have them next door to the Winery & Coffee shop ya know.

Now I feel the pain of those who are always running out of tomatoes....lol.

By the way, this was another EXPENSIVE update. I had to take time to rearrange, move, re-plan etc. That took from keeping up max production for the things I have. And it cost me about 5-7 million yesterday in "lost sales" to my neighbor-workers at each set of farms. However, I am ready for more farms with 650Mill at each burning a whole in my farmer britches.

I love, Love, LOVE all the new updates. The log truck/chain saw is GREAT!

Just a couple of requests:
1) Could you make the log truck default to a "horizontal" position? I have left a space for my trucks (log truck, tree shaker & flower harvester) on my tree/flower farm and it's "horizontal". The other two default that direction, but the log truck doesn't. I had to put some trees into storage to be able to buy the log truck and for bringing it out of storage for use.

2) The log truck can only cut 8 oak trees at once due to the size of the oaks. Could they either be fixed to fit closer together or fix the log truck to chop more at once?

Other than that, everything is great!! Waiting now for a farm I can dedicate to tomatoes! ;-)

Consider this.
They gave us the fertilizer, so we doubled our crops...whoopee!! No more struggling to get enough tomatoes, onions, wheat, corn and whatever else. Life is good!!
Then they add new facilities that need more products which totally negates the gain of using the fertilizer. Back to running out of flour, tomatoes, meat, chicken, cheese. Oh well get your nose back to that grinding stone.....lol!!

Thanks Devs!!

I had a girl I hired to harvest a large field, and someone else on a small field. The harvester finished, then plowed; I then went to her to hire her to plow, and she was just finishing up writing HEY! in my wheat. SO wish you could FIRE as well as HIRE!!!! ick that annoys the heck out of me when they hire so many. especially for a small area. It slows the process down significantly.
but again, i can understand how sometimes people hire multiple. if not everyone responds to the request for hire and you hire multiples and there's a lag at people responding.

A couple of things, first thanks for the new upgrades! :)

I accidentally purchased the pasta restaurant last night. I was looking at the new facilities & clicked on the question mark and the next thing I new I had the pasta restaurant. The problem was I was not on a farm that I had room for it. It would not let me place it on the farm for lack of room. I finally had to click on the walk icon, I made room for it but it wasn't in my storage. It is missing. I have purchased facilities before that were bigger than the space I had for them, but they always were put in my storage before. I wouldn't say anything if it wasn't farm cash spent.

I am not sure if this is because of the upgrade or some other problem. Any way Thanks for your help & the great upgrades!

Glad you all like the new flowers. Some are nicely done.

I designed a petunia clump and submitted it back in June, and Raul said it was accepted and asked for more flowers from me. I designed a dahlia clump and sent it for approval, but never heard another word, not even a "not suitable" which would have been fine: I illustrate for a living and can take it.

But, these items take a lot of time - a flower has to be painted in six stages.
I did write to Raul three times asking if they were going to use my two designs. They paid FC for the first one, but not the second as promised.

I wish I knew what happened, but give up. This is no way to treat a paying customer - I do buy FC. Not anymore, for this game anyway.

Ya'll enjoy the new designs. I do hope the artists got their fake money for them.

Seems you can't please everyone !! My opinion on the Chainsaw is that it is a terrific addition. You don't HAVE to buy it .... in fact, I will probably buy two now, just because you said they won't sell many.

They are adding another farm, so between the Manure and the additional farm, you should be able to produce plenty of wheat.

It just upsets me when the developers work at giving us pretty much everything we want, and instead of gratitude, or even silence (if you don't have anything nice to say, then say nothing at all), you have a ton of people *****in' and compainin' .....

Remember, the game is FREE...... and it is not MANDATORY...... a little gratitude to the developers would be nice.

I totally agree. I absolutely love Farmtown and have bought Farmcash in the past. Years ago when Super Nintendo was released I would spend anywhere between $60 - $90 on each video game for it. I don't see how it is any different spending money here on a game I enjoy. I have many, many friends who play FT and do not purchase the FC items. Do they enjoy the game any less than I do? No, they have just as much fun as I do playing and it costs them nothing. Like others have said, it is very simple...if you don't want to spend real money, then don't. Nowhere in the game does it say you have to.

There are likely a whole lot of artists that have submitted to them...... and they do state that you will only hear from them if they are going to accept your submission...... that bugged a few.... you didn't know if your emails and submissions ever even reached them.... but you sound bitter because they accepted some other artists work.... which being an artist if you have ever had your work shown you do know that the reviews are often not very flattering..... i have had work shown and had a few purchased and have had good and bad reviews and even been sent rather unflattering letters so you have to learn to let things roll off your back in this kind of venue and not take it personally it is a matter of the persons taste and it's not a reflection of you or your work...........

I would simply like to know when they are going to fix the myspace version to match the facebook version. Among the most glaringly sad is that you can't hire friends to work in the factories or use the gift exchange funcions in MySpace. That would really help, I also think they could stop adding facilities and improve the current ones.

For new levels, I seriously hope you are considering adding 50 or so this time. The small amounts you have added in the past means a lot of people have gone from one top level to the next with no challenge to get there.
Also at this point please raise the number of experience points needed per level. Once you have gotten to level 100 or more, with 5 farms, a lot of neighbors to help and numerous facilities it is just too easy to get 10,000 or more per day. I think it should be 25,000 to 50,000 per level at this point.

50 levels at 50.000 xp per level would work for me. :D

BUT just guess how many woud would yell that it is unfair that there is so many xp needed tolevel up.

Just have 100 pigs on 2 farms and you will have fertilizer comming out your ears. ;)

I love that you can have so much to offer in this game, and that the Devs and Mods really listen to the FT Community.
I have to say I love the new tools, facilities, and subtle changes done to the game. It was the greatest thing that was offered in Facebook when I started, and, unlike the other apps, you have kept making this game better and better

Heavens no, Gin, this is not a big disappointment in my life, which is a pretty long one, but thank you and I hope that you are okay in your life. I just had nowhere else to warn other artists of how they might be treated here and felt it a good idea to tell my story. Starving artist: beware of FarmTown!

As mentioned, have a good time. I'm done with it. With people now having 6 farms, good luck getting any workers, LOL! Every time I go to the market to sell I'm bombarded with requests. So much for the good old days.

Simple solution mentioned many times now in this forum. When you go to the markets to sell, simply click the red power tab and go 'off line'. Then the only people in the markets will be you and Tom. Problem of being bombarded with hire requests SOLVED !!!

Farm Town Newbie~ I am sorry your experience was not the one you had hoped for. I will say that all things in life effect us much by our own expectations. You did mention being compensated for one of your submissions, so you were not totally ignored? That being just my point of view. You made mention you do this for a living, KUDOS to you, I think that is awesome. I wish I were able to do such a thing. I just love to play in my paint program and enjoy having the opportunity to actually do something that maybe someone could use. You are so right it takes many hours of time. Maybe you feel more disrespected by this because you do make a living at it. Your expectations may have been a bit higher. My expectations on the other hand were little to none and I do it for fun.I can say, of course in an ideal world assuming people have a lot of extra time, and weren't swamped with tons of stuff from many people, more of a reply might be nice. I can only speak of my own experience and would like to say that I felt like Raul treated me very well and spent a lot of time and patience with me in getting things "just right" and compatable with farmtown. I took initative and made up many different flowers in all stages, certainly with no promise of use. I did so based only on his expression of the possibility of them working. So I chose to take the chance and put the time in on them, fully knowing he owed me nothing. There were times over the few months I would not hear back from him for a long time. I had to assume he was busy or decided not to use my submissions, either way I felt happy to have had the opportunity and left it at that. I in no way felt he owed me anything based on the fact that he indicated he could use them. In fact I did not even expect compensation until they were launched. I was thrilled come the time they were ready to be launch. I was, in Raul's defense also more than thrilled with his compensation to me, so in answer I did recieve all and more than expected. Had it gone nowhere, I would have certainly in no way judged or had bad feelings either. I know we all want explaination for things that don't turn out the way we want, but this was not like they were recruiting for a contract job. They were just again offering the chance for people here to be more involved if they had something that could be used. I would say you could look at it in the way of you may have actually got more than many others did. I do just a little bit wonder, if this was something you felt strong about and felt you needed to warn others, why you only bring it up now, after someone else's things are being used? I also am not sure I understand the warning? From what I see you submitted a flower and were paid for it, meaning in FC, which you now seem to mention with distain, although that is all that was ever offered. You then submitted a second flower that he may have asked for, but decided for some reason not to use. You think you would have felt better about that if he wrote you back and said he couldn't use it? Or would that have opened another can of worms? I must be missing something for real here, because I still do not understand what he did or owed you to make you this angry, and why you waited til now to mention it? Please do not misunderstand me, you do have every right to feel what you feel, noone can tell us how we should feel. I just hope a different perspective will maybe make you not feel so slighted or even if you do feel slighted except that and maybe not be so harsh in judging others. I really do believe ALL people do the very best they can at any one moment in life, thats lol not to say they wouldn't do it different one moment later. I am truely however sorry that you gave up on it and have bad feelings. I think it is wonderful for all players to have things special on their farms that they had visioned, and nice to share it. even if they cant draw it to provide pictures in hopes that someone else can.

Maybe we should start an area under suggestions for pictures to be posted of items we would like to see on farms?

Sincerely, Debbie

I agree that I certainly don't mind going from where I am right to top level again. I know I have already put the time in. I see the levels more as a marker or status as to your committment to the game LOL.
I do however agree with a different XP structure as you get to higher levels. I agree with that because as you go up in levels your ability to gain XP points greatly increases. That to me then almost makes it less of a challenge. It was far more difficult for me to gain 10,000 XP at level 20 lets say than at leve 45 etc... once you reach higher levels and have 5 plus farms (coming soon) yeah!! 10,000 in XP is NOTHING! We have to remember that when the current plan was put into place you had only 1 farm and only 34 levels! LOL Okay so that is just my opinion on it, but I am easy lol I just love the game.

Hi! I see your point, that if you have 5+ farms, XP is easily gained. However, you have to remember that even if you are on the top level, there is a neighbor restraint of 30 to get the 3rd farm. Personally, that's not my problem, I have over 60 neighbors. However, many of my neighbors only have 15 or 20 neighbors and they refuse to add people they don't know. Due to the restraint they can't get the 3rd farm without paying farm cash for ALL the upgrades, nor can they get farm 4, 5, or the soon to be 6th farm (I can't wait for it!).

The devs have to put that into consideration if they are to change the XP structure. If they were to take the neighbor constraint off, than it wouldn't be a problem.

I guess I should have stated that in my original post as to why a change in the XP structure would cause users to lose interest.

And the 6 hires are for 100 or less plots!

I had a girl I hired to harvest a large field, and someone else on a small field. The harvester finished, then plowed; I then went to her to hire her to plow, and she was just finishing up writing HEY! in my wheat. SO wish you could FIRE as well as HIRE!!!! At least you can hide so you don't hire them again!

OMG what an absolute pain in the backside. This is a perfect example of why I would also like to be able to fire people. I think the primary reason for me though it that I want ot be able to get rid of people that once hired, just come to my farm and just stand around or if they do work they make a big fat mess and never get everything. I usually only hire one person at a time because I prefer to work alone and because I believe that if they are willing to work hard they should be given the chance to advance themselves as much as they are willing to work for. However, it never fails that I have to hire anywhere from 2-5 people one, right after the other, to get the job done because people have gotten so darn picky about what they are willing to harvest and what they won't. This upsets me as much as the other crazy things people do because it seems to me that we should all be grateful if someone is willing to hire us to work for them. After all, they are doing us a favor, not the other way around (my opinion)!

.........and those 100 plots are frickin rasberries too!
each of the 6 ppl make about 6 bucks.....:D

sometimes you get lucky and find a good worker, but not too often.

Does it really matter what crop it is? I mean we need raspberries for our production so it seems to me that anyone willing to go to market and work should be happy to harvest whatever crop the farmer has ready. Besides that coins are coins. 6 or 600 we still get paid to just click the mouse button and every single coin increases the amount we have to put towards crops, farm size increases, purchasing new farms, and hundreds of other things that we need to be able to play the game to its fullest.

I have found that also. You cannot invite your neighbors to work at the mine. I hope that till be fixed.

You devs cannot please everyone and always give us something to expand our experience. Thank you

The mine is not designed to be worked in by your neighbors. It functions just like the fish farm, the semi-truck, and the oil derricks. You place your order for supplies and then have to wait for them.

i have a neighbor that has her trees layered on top of some fields... since the updates ok some of the crops under the trees are harvested and then reappear when she refreshes..... does anyone have this happening... i don't have trees on top of fields well i did at one time but before the updates i had changed that......

It sounds to me like your friend may have some corrupt data in her game. I ran into this issue after one of the previous updates and it took a few days and a lot of work to fix but if that is the case they are going to want to start correcting it fast because the longer it stays bad the more it can mess up. Of course I would suggest that they do all the normal things that are usually suggested to correct issues as well. Make sure that the flash player is current, empty the computer cache, and the Adobe cache, as well as possibly increasing the amount of storage space that Adobe is allowed on the computer. If your friend is also planting layers of crops that could also be part of the problem. It may be that the layers have gotten locked somehow and they may just have to delete, save, refresh, over and over until they finally stay gone. Try using all off the different methods for deleting as well and see if using any one particular method works when the others won't. If all of these things fail to correct the issue, then your friend needs to get in touch with one of the mods so that they can go visit your friends farm and check to see if the data is corrupt.

Ask one of the mods to come visit your farm. They should be able to tell you if the farm cash was actually deducted and if the building is on your farm someplace. Before they can come to your farm you will have to provide a manual link to your farm. Directions for doing that can be found through the link at the bottom of this post. I would also suggest that you either send the request to one of the mods in a private message through the forum or post your request for help in the help and support section of the forum. Good luck!

I think Miss Jan was talking about needing a change of clothes and shoes for her avatar! LOL That is something many people have asked for in the past, and is one of the few things that has never been addressed by the developers. It would be so nice to be able to see people in different clothing, rather than having everyone - even of both sexes - in the exact same clothing/colors! I hope the developers will eventually add this to a future update.

BTW - I LOVE the new updates and can't wait for new levels and especially for new farm(s)!!!! :)

Perhaps, but a healthy number for each level is not as difficult as it was.

I have increased my exp by over 1million since level 90 was introduced. It seems we get points for everything, not just plowing for another farmer.

Since the new levels often come with new things to buy, 50 new levels might mean that it will be a LONG time before there might be new stuff to spend coin and FT$$ on.

Most of the avid players already have the max levels and more than enough points for future increases. One of my neighbors is over 8mill pts.

50 levels at 50k... well I would almost be automatic on that too.

Just imagine if we had any farmers who complained around here.....
"... I only get 50 more FT$$, and that won't buy 2 facilities.... it's not fair..."

Yes indeed that could play a role in deciding. I guess it also pretty much says no matter what there is the possibility of a group that might lose interest. I say this because there are so many also always complaining for the need of a challenge with higher levels and the fact obviously that they top out right away, lol which was what started this topic. Sometimes there isn't really a wrong or right way and you just have to figure out what works and what doesn't work. I am sure they will figure it out indeed. I still share a difference of opinion about this, yet am respectful to and understand yours as well. It really doesn't matter that much to me because I will play regardless. I just try and think in terms of the game structure and keeping a challenge for the majority based on the potential of xp as a person levels up in ratio to that level. I kinda think of having enough neighbors is a choice which again I respect there choice but it is an option. I just feel like the game shouldn't be based on their choice or others have to feel like there is no challenge because of that. It is a part of the game and also what creates the challenge. Maybe they could borrow so of yours that you give good reference to lol so they know they are not nut cases. They could add them and later if decided they didn't want them as FB friends maybe delete them? I don't know lol and by all means won't claim to have the answers for all, just trying to think of ways to help.

First of all - thanks for a great game - I love the new updates!!!

I purchased a chain saw but it won't stay rotated after I put it in storage. I have some plots empty on every farm for the tools I bring to each farm as needed and I don't want to have to clear more plots on each farm because it won't stay rotated. It's a little thing, I know, but I hope they can fix it. Thanks again for all your efforts and for this great game!

I have went back and can not find the post where someone mentioned that while planting it would just stop working. Well I had that same experience today and played around with it for quite a while because yes it would work and then stop after I plant a row or sometimes a few. Well without a doubt the trouble is in having your decorations turned off. I tried many things and the minute I turned them back on I planted the whole farm no problem. Turned them off and would not plant again. I hope this is something that can be fixed :::crossing fingers::: because sure is nice to have that all shut off.

Hope this info helps,

from Raul's post : "There is a warning once per day, that alert you when you have decorations, buildings or other stuff hidden in the game, so you don't panic when you see all them gone without remembering why"

Could the word WARNING be changed to something less dramatic, maybe REMINDER? To me, at least, the word warning implies some imminient danger.

Then it might be more cost effective if you try some of the free offers and surveys to earn the farm cash. Then you can buy new clothes and shoes and still get the stuff you want for your farm.

Is it my imagination or is the free offer section working ever so much better? It used to be almost useless. Now it is almost perfect with a free offer just about every day.

50 levels at 50.000 xp per level would work for me. :D

BUT just guess how many woud would yell that it is unfair that there is so many xp needed tolevel up.

all ya need to do is plow and seed all 5 (6) farms and fill up your factories, work your friends farms....should be easy to obtain....

I saw someone in the market place who kept posting "will do trees and wheat only"....well, not on my farm you won't!

I don't get the harvesters who refuse to plow... had 1000 wheat my worker gladly harvested, but when I sent the hire to plow, her answer was "I don't plow" and she left.....huh??????????

I guess I should have stated that in my original post as to why a change in the XP structure would cause users to lose interest.

on the story of needing 30 neighbors to get third farm. I think FT is more then fair plus there's tons of areas to go to find more neighbors. I've been playing Market Street for the past month. Im almost ready to quit it cause i can't progress anywhere. Almost all of their good stuff takes real cash. I need 11 neighbors to expand my store (and there are far more expansions that each require additional neighbors). Can't add more displays cause i can't expand. Can't add a 4th register cause i can't expand. You don't even get crowns (their equivalent to farmcash) for level ups. And it is harder to reach next level. only a handful of my friends play the game.
FT gives us alot to work with

I don't mind jumping from top level to top level! Reason being, I ALREADY worked for the XP! The challenge has already been done and the new challenge is to collect XP to make it to the next top level when the AMAZING dev's add more. :) I don't understand why people don't see it that way.

I worked and worked to get to level 100 (when that was the max). Watching the white bar move closer and closer gave me a visual to see how close I was getting. When I hit 100, I actually was disappointed...the bar was SOOOOOOOO long, and movement wasn't visible. I personally would prefer to not jump from max to max, or close to max, with the next increase in levels.

Waiting for farm #8!

Your friends have decided to not add people they don't know. There choice.

I for one am glad I added people from the neighbor request forum.

Have made some very nice friends from around the world. My choice.

If you don't want to add strangers the way to get the 3rd farm is available, FC. The devs could just as well left that option off the game and then you only have 1 choice, :)

I agree. This is another awesome venue for meeting people. Most of my friends on facebook as it is are people that i've met online over the course of the last 15 years. That is why we are online. To communicate with people we would have normally never communicate with. Awesome friends we would have not met IRL.
What is the difference between gaining friends from farmtown and finding friends in an online chat room?

"... I only get 50 more FT$$, and that won't buy 2 facilities.... it's not fair..."

.

They have new things without the levels. Just look at this update.

I have dial up internet access so it is slower for me than most that play this game.. there is a ? on items in your storage that means it can be used in your facilities that saves you from messing up selling it . a great feature they added...... if you click on your storage area before you go the market from your farm while in offline mode to allow it to fully load that will help it load up faster for you when you go to the market to sell it all... i do that a few times a day and normally after i have my farm harvested also... it zips by for me at the market now that i have started to do that.... you don't have to actually move the bulldozer click on it and click on "delete fields" then click on what farm you want to take it to.... when you get there you actually have a "Clone" of the bulldozer.. and it should work fine for you.. hope that helps in some way....

I don't like people that only come in and start a job without finishing, but people have a right to choose what kind of work they want. I don't generally plow because I usually wind up plowing my own fields and because I usually need supplies or coins more than I need points I usually announce that I want to harvest only. Either find someone to plow for you or do it yourself. It's just a game.

Things happen sometimes. Remember there is a human being behind that avatar. They could have easily gotten disconnected, family issues or whatnot. we do have choices as what job we do. And being honest about it is fine in the market place. they can sit there screaming all they want. Its the hiring person's choice if they want to hire them or not. I've hired many who want specifics that wind up doing whatever i have. As far as plowing. That can be a bit tedious when you have crops of your own getting ready to be harvested or wasted. Im at maximum XP and don't need the points and plowing doesn't kick back that much coins. I leave the plowing for lower levels. I'll even say that to the hiring person. Sometimes you can't plow because you have something happening in the real world. we can't always control these things. If it is a small farm, i'll go ahead and plow. But usually i do not.

I know it's an option, but for me that seems VERY rude!!
Either one does the work one's hired to do, or one shouldn't ask for any jobs, at all!!

I was hired by some person (and the farm was really *crowded* with hired workers.)
When the job was all done, and ppl started to thank for the job, his answer was; " So get the hell off of my property!"

I realize that sometimes there are connection issues, I think we've all experienced that at one time or another. I had someone ask in the marketplace for a plowing job to level up. I hired and went back to the farm with them. They plowed about 4 rows and announced "I leveled up, thanks" and left.

I don't let it bend me out of shape. ;)

Now that is just too funny LOL........ if i am hired to harvest and the farmer asks if i want to plow normally say sure i am on a high level will do it unless you have a neighbor that needs the xp..... they appreciate that most of the time..... plowing now is easy without the 2nd hire thingy ......... love that they fixed that now..... way cool of them........

I understand it is just a game...that isn't the point, nor is leaving or not wanting to work more. We are all adults, or hopefully we are...why can't we be polite? If I am not able to stay and plow, for whatever reason, I tell the person who hired me RIGHT AWAY, I don't harvest 1000 plots then announce I "don't plow". If she had said, "I can't, sorry", or told me when I hired her she didn't want to plow, no issue. I also always say thanks for the work, even if I only got 6 of the 40 plots they hired 8 workers to clear...again, it is just being polite.

Below is a post I did early this AM Hope it helps

I have went back and can not find the post where someone mentioned that while planting it would just stop working. Well I had that same experience today and played around with it for quite a while because yes it would work and then stop after I plant a row or sometimes a few. Well without a doubt the trouble is in having your decorations turned off. I tried many things and the minute I turned them back on I planted the whole farm no problem. Turned them off and would not plant again. I hope this is something that can be fixed :::crossing fingers::: because sure is nice to have that all shut off.

Hope this info helps,
Thank you! Debbie

If that doesn't work, post a link to your farm in the forum for the developers to look at it for you. There is a Forum under Help and Support for the Game Not Loading/Unable to Access which would be the best place to report your problem.

Well then, I hope you stay at level 115 when the devs release the new levels, that way you won't be disappointed! :)

I hope we'll get an alternative view of the ice cream and confectionary factories soon - they're the last two that I think are really cartoonish.

Hello,

We have now several vehicles at our disposal, for my part, I store them in my warehouse and serves me as it as one goes along! My proposition is the following one: following the example of buildings(ships) such as, the cowshed, the sheepfold or the pigsty, to have a garage or a shed where we could store these vehicles there. By hoping that my proposition will be considered, me wish to our moderators an excellent day!

Good continuation and thank you for all that you make to distract us!

Just starting to get the pasta restaurant up to full speed (lucky I had plenty of tomatoes in reserve). I held off for a day or two on getting the jewelry store but gave into temptation - must have been all those reserves of diamonds and gold accumulating in storage. Does anyone else feel that cheese production is still a bit too slow? I know they cut it from 6 to 4 hours a batch a while back. Maybe with the addition of more facilities that use cheese (like the pasta restaurant) 3 hour batch times would be nice (pretty please :)). I already have 4 dairy factories maxed out.

Oh, and on the new levels - an increase to 150 at 1.5mill XP seems about right :)

Tomatoes won't do you much good. I had to get the Preserve Factory to make the newly added tomato paste for the restaurant. Bummer. So if you already have the preserve facility, you are in like Flynn.

If cheese production is low, get another Dairy Plant for another farm. Yes it will require more cows/milk, but gifting the milk will help supplement the cow harvests.

I am in the habit of checking the dairy shed, semi etc every time I open a farm to maximize the harvests.

My stash of tomatoes is already fueling mucho pasta sauce production in my preserves factory, not to mention the salad dishes at the restaurant, so yeah kinda had that one figured out :)

I agree Jocelyn. I want the option because I have the rest of the facilities as the rustic farm appearance.

*****Please see post launch fixes at the end*****

Hey There,

We just released a new version of the game with the following features and bug fixes:

1. 13 New Flowers: 10 in the store and 3 in the gift page. All flowers were created by Debbie (a FarmTown player and community member) and donated to the FarmTown game, many thanks to her.

2. Log Truck with Chainsaw (FC): Allows you to chop up to 32 trees at a time, it works very similar to the treeshaker tool.

3. Default Farm Selection: When clicking on the farm title text, you will see a new checkbox in that window to select that current farm as your default farm. The default farm will be the farm where you and your friends will be landing on when visiting you.

4. Show Decorations: We added this new option to the Option Window (top right tool icon) to make it easier for you to hide all decorations at once, including fences.

5. 'Decorations' category restructured: The store 'Decorations' category have now been divided in 5:

Farming Decor - All decorations that you would naturally expect to see in a farm
Motion - All items with a purpose or transportation of humans or any other stuff. Previous giftable fathers day items like golf carts, ATV and hot rods have been added to this category
Furniture - All furnitures
Fun - All items with a fun purpuse. All fathers day sport items have been added to this category
Other - The rest of the old 'Decorations' category. Previous mothers day sculptures have been added to this category and to the Topiaries

6. Mineral Mine (coins): Allows you to produce silver, gold and diamonds.

7. Jewelry Factory (FC): Allows you to produce jewels:

Earring
Necklace
Photo Frame with embeded jewelry
Ring
Watch
Jewelry Box with embeded jewelry

8. Pasta Factory (coins): Allows you to produce uncooked pasta:

Spaghetti
Macaroni
Fettuccine
Linguine
Lasagne

9. Pasta Restaurant (FC): Allows you to produce salads and pasta dishes:

Caprese Salad
Caesar Chicken Salad
Garden Salad
Macaroni and Cheese
Spaghetti with Meatballs
Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo
Seafood Linguine
Meat Lasagne

10. Tomato Sauce: Some Pasta Dishes requires Tomato Sauce which you can now make in the Food Preserver Factory.

11. Multitools and the 'Remove space between fields' setting: From now on, all multitools (except for the multiplower to be completed for the next release)will work as expected independent on the 'Remove space between fields' setting, before, setting/unsetting that option could make your multitools only do one field at a time for a while.

12. When hiring others, incorrect crop count on storage for fertilized crops: This bug should now be fixed, no need to refresh the game anymore to see the correct count.

13. Fences can now be selected and hidden without issues.

14. Harvest, Plow and Tool vertical toolbars now dissapear when you select a tool and start working.

15. Minor Changes: Horse Training Area now allows you to put some horses on it. Alternative views for facilities are now the default on the store, when you purchase them, you can always go back to the previous cartoonish look if you want to.

Farm 6 and new levels comming soon...

Enjoy!

Thanks

new smaller versions of the dairy factory, confectionary, ice cream, sugar, oil refinery, fish farming plant, textile, sewing mill, chocolate factory, and coffee grinder would be much appreciated - they do not match with all my other buildings & take up tons of room comparitively. I love the new versions of the other buildings!!!! Great work..... can I get an extra couple of farms too soon? I have over 230 million coins I am dying to spend! LOL.

i've already put certain factories into storage (ones that I have an abundance of products already in my storage)

230 million.... Well that should just about cover the cost of Farm #6 .... #5 was over 150mill if I remember right.

I have production going full blast with twice+ daily restocks..... works out to about 110million a week and I anticipate a couple of weeks income will be necessary for each farm #6.

This is real money, right?

It would be nice, if the Devs would tell us what the next farm is going to cost in coins and/or farm cash...so we could start planning if we need additional.

Don't know if this has been asked, but when we fertilize our crops on a farm does that also include any trees? I don't have any trees on the two farms I use to plant/harvest so I have no idea. Thanks! :)

Judging from the cost of farm #5.... plan on $200 million for #6 if you use coin, and perhaps the sizes up to 18x18 will be "cheap" and not require FT$$

I think we still might get them before the day is over.

I just LOVE all the new goodies... especially the Pasta restaurant. However, there is a problem with it.. it makes me hungry!!! There are problems when I hide decorations - they didn't all come back until I reloaded the page but that's okay, I can live with it. The chain saw is perfect! Now I don't mind cutting down trees. Now if only we could water our flowers in an easier way. See what happens when you give people such good stuff?? They want MORE!!

Congrats.. GREAT job!!!!

The devs give us the game and the players figure out their own strategy to pay for things.

25% - because they said "soon"
15% - because a holiday weekend would be a good choice
15% - because it has been 3 weeks, and they have been getting shorter and shorter times between some updates
30% - because I am trying to get other things in order and get ready before the release...and Murphy's law applies to everything..so...
10% - because the hope I have is NOT in the US Pres.

and, like all pole results....

5% .... undecided
