Wouldn't that be nice!
Yes it would, and I also checked my trees by selling just one and got 52.5 for a peach tree.

Hi Reta. I am unsure of what you are referring to. Are you missing some basil? You harvested basil and some didn't go to your storage?

Sep 09 2010, 04:48 PM
No, sorry, I was just commenting on an earlier post talking about how many coins we were getting when we did "harvest and sale" instead of putting our harvest into storage. So sorry for any confusion and please remove it if you need to.

Hi Reta. I am unsure of what you are referring to. Are you missing some basil? You harvested basil and some didn't go to your storage?
She was referring to a problem that I started having last night when trying to use the harvest and sell option on some of my trees. When I harvested them it gave me some off the wall coin amount that made no sense and then nothing credited to my coin count. If you go back to page 73 in this thread you will find my original post that details the issue. Are you a mod? Just wondering.
Reta, I just now have crops ready so I will check and see if my crops are doing it as well. My flowers worked fine last night but I will check them again. The mods are aware of the problem and I am sure that it has been reported to the devs who will probably jump right on correcting the issue. In the meantime it is probably best if we all just harvest and store. That way we avoid losing any coins as well as our harvest.

I do know that the time for my trees to be ready for harvest has changed i thought it was getting freaky like the last two days...... i try to harvest all the same trees at the same time on all five of my farms........ i have had like one pear tree or one avocado tree on the same farm ready for a before the others...i only add new trees of the same variety when i have just harvested.. i normally only hire to harvest crops.... i will check to see if I have any ready for harvest.. get back to you as to the amount it gives me......

Sunny,
Thanks for checking your trees for me. Flowers seem to be the only thing that are not messing up like this.
P.S. I was asking if amberdh was a mod. I was under the impression that all of the mods were identified by having green names. Just trying to make sure that I understood that correctly.

you are correct mod's do have diffrent color names then regular users... if you have not noticed yet some of us players like to help other out if we can. some times a new person getting a fast responce that helps means allot to them so that is why i like to help out

I have noticed and try to help out where I can as well. I was just clarifying my understanding. If I am remembering correctly this was explained to me shortly after my brain surgery so I wanted to make sure that it was something that I remembered correctly from those days when I was not so with it mentally. Thanks!

the hide decorations doesnt effect the corners..i just went to my 4th farm to see if my water fall changed it didnt so i checked to hide decorations and it didnt hide any of the river corners....
the person posting about this try clearing your catch see if that helps bring them back
Well that depends on what is attached to the corners It does not hide all of mine either yet does some. Usually waterfalls have overlapping stone fence or something like that. LOL But I certainly could be wrong.

i dont have stone walls or anything on mine.but i do have a big boulder it hides for me to see the water under it... then again i learned one thing may happen on one farm and not another so i could be wrong too lol

I am not a chef by no means. But I do put eggs in my lasagna. I mix it in with the cottage cheese to help "bind" the layers together.

I don't have time to track the info down, but I suspect the value that is showing up for the harvest & sell at the moment is the non-rounded figure. The store states what price you'll get for your crops if you harvest & store, the price you get for "large" harvests (those done by a hired harvester) are a rounded up figure of 20% more, I think the decimal values are 20% less and haven't been rounded. Like others, I never use this option (99% of the time I hire neighbours for everything) so the usual price of crops sold this way aren't that familiar with me. I leave it off my datasheet so it's not so cluttered

How about a pancake house. Meals could be pancakes with syrup, pancakes with eggs, pancakes with ham...etc. Or a chicken restaurant. Meals with mashed potatoes, green beans, cole slaw...etc. Or a hamburger restaurant. "Do you want fries with that?" lol There could be different types of hamburgers, fries, onion rings, ketchup, mustard..etc. Something to think about?

A pancake house has already been suggested in the suggestions thread. Any other suggestions for new items won't get taken into consideration unless they are listed in the suggestions thread. I would recommend that you post your thoughts on the other facilities over there because they are good ideas that should be taken into consideration for future updates.

I don't know why it is happening but it is something that should not be happening. I have harvested and sold directly before and never had this issue. It only started last night. Then it was just trees and now people are having problems with crops as well. I posted a question about it in the help & support thread and it is being looked into. I am not sure what price I should have gotten for the trees I harvested this way, I am not greatly concerned about the price, my concern is that the game is doing something odd and I got nothing for the sale at all. Nothing credited to my coin count even though the odd dollar amount showed when I harvested.

Many recipes call for an egg to be mixed with the ricotta - mine does. The egg gives a better texture to the cheese part of the filling, in my humble opinion. That being said -I am sorry they got "foodie" about this, because I already have enough trouble keeping eggs on hand for current items! Let's campaign for eggless lasagna!

oh yeah, not saying it shouldn't been happening, just say what I think is happening (not a why or how). And yes I had seen your post in the H&S forum, nearly told you to post there when you first mentioned it here! Like the "spreader" message some of us were getting when trying to buy trees (weeks before the manure spreader came out), it shouldn't be happening but no biggie

It happened to me yesterday, did not cleaned before harvesting and lost all the blackberries and harvest I had in one farm. So be careful, put your facilities out or sell so that your bins are not full or you loose.

It does not matter how you pay me... either with a "valuable" US $20 bill, or a shiny $20 Gold piece.
Well, the devs offer some really neat things with a FT$$ price tag because those things are [1] usually more desirable, [2] usually more useful [3] usually will allow the devs to earn their living.
There are other ways to get FT $$ other than levels and getting one at a time for points.

Keeping your storage cleaned up is a requirement no matter what. I was talking about a problem with selling items directly from the field, using the harvest & sell option instead of the harvest & store option. It is doing strange things. I get the warning about my storage being full just about every day now. The warning is working fine the sell option is what is messed up, as long as I keep on top of cleaning my storage I have never lost anything.
Did you not get the warning and that is what led to you loosing your harvest?

Really like your changes and possible future levels. Just have one request. Please allow a larger gap between people with 3 million points or so and people with not one million points yet. All are level 115. They should not be the same level. If you have close to 3 million there should be some separtion from the rest, it is earned. Thanks

Our game world has impact on the real world. Game coins do not make the world go 'round outside of our game. It won't pay bills, it doesn't pay for server space, developer wages, rent, food, or power. In order for the game to continue to be free someone has to pay the piper. FC items have been and always will be a way to pay those bills and continue to bring the game to all of us for free.
There is no in game requirement to have any of the FC items. They are add-ons to the game that are there to enhance your gaming experience. In comparison to a great number of other games this one is far more cost effective than many others out there. You get to play for free, there is no upfront cost for accessing the game, there are no subscription fees, and you are allowed to advance to the highest levels without ever HAVING to spend a dime. Many other games, just on Facebook alone are far less generous. Is there another game out there that offers us 22 production facilities for coin?

Amen to that!!! I can't believe some of the comments I've read of people actually COMPLAINING that you have to spend real money for some facilities. Noone is pulling your teeth, making you do it! You KNOW that's how this game operates. If you don't LIKE it, then...... quit! Easy. Noone is forcing you to play .....

Farm Town is no different than any other game or sim out there. They have to make REAL money to pay their bills. If you enjoy FT then SUPPORT FT by BUYING FC.
Slashkey is no different than any other business. They have COSTS to run their business.
Just look around next time you go to Wal Mart, Burger King, or Home Depot. Then check to see how much "free" stuff they have for you. This may be a game to us, but to Slashkey it is their living.
Now if we could get Farm 6 up and running, I will buy more FC as I have factories to buy!

I've never received a message that my storage was full?? I sell off surplus every time I harvest a crop or facility. So, I'm a little confused now.
What are you confused about? Did you lose crops or products without receiving a warning that your storage was full?

Just to complain again, can the devs please try to fix the glitch that allows hired plowers to plow in space where there is NO previous plot. Or is this just a plot to make people buy the new deleting bulldozer? I am very tired of have to re-plow my farms b/c of greedy a-holes!
So if the developers are paying attention, the glitch is that dead flowers are able to be plowed over. Now can you add some code so that this doesn't happen? Thank you.
So for those of you who want more plots let your flowers die and then ask your hired plowers to plow them. You can get 3 plots per regular plot that way.

I have accidentally plowed extra plots on people farms before. It has nothing to do with flowers. Everyone that I know that has had this happen they have found the extra plots under paths. Paths do not block the ability to place plots. The issue at hand is that hired people should not be able to plow anyplace on the farm that is not already plowed. If it has changed and you can plow three plots per regular plot, because of dead flowers, I would strongly caution against it. This sounds like a perfect way to end up with corrupt game data! If you want more plots move stuff around so that you have space to put plots in the right way or you risk messing up your farm beyond repair.

LOL !! I keep going to the Realtor office also, and let me tell you, there are a lot more people there now than ever before !! Getting a tad crowded in there !
I bought my stuff already, it is in storage just waiting for the new Farm, I am really looking forward to it! I stopped adding to my Mine, Bee Farm, SF plant, so I can move them when they are empty.
Me too! i'm checking for new updates here every day as this is the first place they are posted - i also go to the realtor's office on the game but keep getting told i have all available upgrades. . .so i'm keeping my fingers crossed that one day (soon? lol) i will see that additional farm - don't care for coins or FC as i will spend my own $ to by F$ to get one. . . :)

I'm laughing at myself because when I read your post I thought, "Oh no! That's really scary!" And then I had to say, "It's a GAME, Susan, it's a GAME!" LOL

I read in the forum before about having "Corrupt Game Data" how does this effect you in Farm Town?? would it cause you to have Error Messages constantly? and connection reset constantly? and for Adobe Flash to crash all the dang time.. as these things are a constant for me only in the last couple or three weeks.. how can i find out? any help greatly appreciated.

What we are trying to say is that if you are getting the "warning, your storage is full and you need to sell or you will loose harvests" but not heading that warning, you ARE going to loose harvests. Do you log in and out of Farmtown every day?
For the forum, you can "quote" the message you want to reply to, then it appears in your reply.
There are a number of threads for problems....this isn't one of them. Go to the main Slashkey Forum page, and look through the subjects listed under Help and Support...post your problem in the appropriate thread. The developers read those threads quite often and post fixes, ask for information, etc.

And still we wait -- checking the increasingly crowded real estate office 5 and 6 times a day; dropping into the Forum hoping, hoping, hoping!
Please, PLEASE, PLEASE release Farm #6 and put us all out of our misery. You've turned us all into addicts, promised us a new "fix", and then you just dangle it out there while we tremble and quake with delirium tremens! Be kind to your poor addicted followers, PLEASE?

Go to market and sell some of your stuff in storage. It sounds like your storage might be full, if that is the case you will loose anything you harvest and will continue to until you make room in your storage. Most questions can be posted in the help and support section of the forum. You may also find answers to your questions there and never have to post a question. To make finding these answers easier there is a search option up in the header of each page. Just click on it and type in what you are looking for.
Hope this makes your game more enjoyable and solves your missing crops issue.
Happy Farming! :)

I don't know if it can cause the problems that you are having. You flash player crashing sounds like you need to completely uninstall and reinstall your flash player. You need to make sure to shut down your system after uninstalling and reinstalling so that all of the old files are removed. I had some corrupted data that led to me having to delete all of my flowers, most of my trees, and all of my plots on one farm. After I had that done a mod still had to come to my farm and "clean" my farm data. If it goes on long enough it can lead to total corruption of your farm data making it impossible to correct, thus rendering your ENTIRE farm unusable. If you would like to have your data checked you need to ask for one of the mods to come to your farm and check it for you. I don't know what neat little bit of magic they do but it was only with a mods help that I was able to regain use of my farm.

Hired people cant for the most part plow new fields, what happens is that if you have had fields in that location before, even after you delete them the when someone plows for you that spot can be plowed by them still. If you never had a plowed field there b4 they cant

This isn't just some hair brained theory I pulled out of my butt. It is a problem that has been bugging me since the last upgrade and using my husbands account as a hired plower I worked it out on my farm. I am not talking about plowing under paths, which if there is room someone could do, I am talking about the game treating flowers as if they were wasted crops and allowing them to be plowed. I agree that people should not be able to plow where there are not already plots. That is why I a hoping the developers see that this may be something to look at so it can be coded out of the game.

I like the recent upgrades. In particular the flower harvester. I used to dread culling the flowers. I'm using the chain-saw and the tree-shaker more than I expected.
The changes in the market-place are great. It would be good if the drop-down menu was long enough to include all the options. It's quite short, and it's irritating to have to scroll down for something which could easily be visible at once.
Also, I would love a balance sheet; something which told you every day what you'd sold, what you'd earned. I know this is sad...

I got the warning when I came in to play, but silly me thought "oh I can harvest and then clean out and post facilities" NOT - so now I heed immediately when I see that warning even if I have to harvest purple grapes and they are almost ready, lol

Hi
My name is Charlie and I am a Farm Town Addict - it's been 3 mins since I last logged into Farm Town.... it has been 2 hours since I last checked the Forum for a "New Release".
My children even recognise when I am on one of my own farms - my husband just sighs .... my family hide their laptops when I come to visit
I've asked my Farm Town friends to send me a message if the upgrade comes out when I am at work - and subscribed on my Mobile Phone so that I can check this. Do you all think I need some therapy or is this completely normal behaviour - in your honest opinion? :p
We have never been disappointed with the upgrades that Raul and the team have given us so far and I'm pretty sure we won't be this time ... as my Mum would say - good things come to those who wait .... but I'm beginning to act like my four year old and I DON'T WANT TO WAIT ANY MORE :D

Hello, my name is Cookie and I'm a farmtown addict. I haven't logged out of Farmtown all day and I've checked the Estate Agent 47 times today.
Cough, cough, shuffle.
Sits down. (Grins).
I don't check the forum or the real estate office.
I check Cookie's farm to see if she is running around in circles. When I see that I will know we have a new release!!:)

I am hoping I don't end up taking my pc in to the shop again that is expensive... UGH!
Sorry that you are having so many problems with the game. If you have already tried all of the standard things I am not sure what else to do. If I have issue usually doing those things solve the problem. You might have one of the mods check your farm just in case before you go spending a bunch of money to take your system to the repair shop. I hope that you get it sorted out quickly so that you can play. :)

I never assumed that it was some hair brained theory that you pulled out of your butt. As I said, I have never seen this particular issue before. But new players come in this forum and read things that say stuff like if you want more plots just let people plow over your flowers! It is important that they know that this can lead to data corruption and that it is not the recommended way to play the game. I have never found that anyone, even since the update, can plow over my dead flowers. Again, my goal was to make it clear to new players that come here seeking guidance that allowing people to purposely plow over your flowers can create serious issue. I hope that your issue gets addressed and corrected. There is a higher likelihood that the developers will be able to address the issue if it is posted in the help and support section of the forum. That is the official thread for problems within the game and the only place they look to see what needs addressing.

This is off subject, and I apologize. What is with the layering of fields. Seems that you can plant a field then plow over it and plant again. Something like that. One of the friends does this and has sent instructions via email to another friend. This neighbor also subscribes to Facegamer.com to get free stuff. Seems to me that if you do that sort of thing you are cheating yourself.
Sorry for interrupting the thread.

The devs do not condone layering as it can mess up your farm, nor do they condone the gift link cheats.

Layering is strongly discouraged. If anyone does it, they do so at their own risk. Layering can lead to data corruption and in worst case scenarios loss of your entire farm. I do not know the official stand on using outside sites to get items but it seems to me that it is a personal choice that each person will have a different opinion on.

I was one of those who layered. Yes I layered crops and I layerd trees, and ended up with lots of problems on my farms.
If you go look at my farms now, you will see that not one tree is layered, and even though you can't tell the fields aren't layered either.
Did I have problems, you bet your bitty I did.

I Used to layer trees over fields but wow that really played up my farm and I had people that i had hired to harvest that kept getting booted off my farms so i re did all my farms.... and using the sites that you get cheats from is also strongly discouraged as with many other sites that are for cheats you are in danger of getting a virus.. not speaking of any specific site as I have no idea i have been told of them and about other game cheats to help you harvest fast and that kind of stuff frankly to me you are taking a major chance with your expensive computer if you do that kind of thing... I actually had a neighbor that never hired me again because i refused to download a cheat to make me faster at harvesting for her.......oh well........

The official stand on that is that it is a cheat. If by chance someone reports you it can result in you losing your Facebook account. It has happened, although I don't know how often.

 It's been TEN DAYS since you announced Farm #6 was "comming", Raul! Ten long agonizing frustrating days planning what we will do with our newest toy.
LOL - you can't possibly have been playing waaaay back when we went for FOUR whole months without a word from the devs, let along any upgrades. Believe me we were all hanging out, and now consider 10 days to be a mere drop in the bucket .... and from my point of view quite a reasonable wait too.

:)Actually, I think you have about a month's experience on me. I started when there were only 40 levels, the Big Red Mansion was the creme de la creme, and there was no second farm -- and I was quite happy!!! I was working away, climbing up the levels, hoping to to get my own red mansion.;)
Then -- bang -- Farm #2. :D WOW!! Double the possibilities. Double the ways to make it to the next level!!! I was stoked!!! I even made it almost to 40 before the levels went to 60.
And then the devs went on a binge. Every time I turned around, there was a nifty new mansion -- and the facilities?!!! PayPal was making a killing off me, I'm sure, all the FT$ I bought so I could get the newest toy.
So I'm impatient! So what?! We waited 10 days for Farm #5 -- and we were all groaning in labor. So now it's time to groan and whine and whimper and cry for our next fix. I LOVE FARM TOWN & I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF IT!!! :D  I'm cool with that! Are you?!

The simple and straight-forward answer to that is OAK. You need ONE OAK PILE for the Picture Frame and ONE OAK PILE for the Jewelry Box. That's one per batch.

I am going to answer your question because I also "stocked up" before buying my jewelry store. You need oak for both the frames and the box. And more importantly, do not stock up too much. It does not seem like the store can keep up with the mine. I have tried to max out and have so much gold, silver, and diamonds left, and more coming all the time. It is likely because I stocked up a little too long, lol. I love having too much gold.

Yep, originally it was 34 levels - I started in early March 2009 - and I think it took us about 30,000 points to climb from level 33 to 34. That was a real marathon; I was so sick of the sight of grapes which was the shortest time frame crop at the time. We had to plow one by one for ourselves and wait while our avatar kept up with us :(. We really forget how spoilt we are now.

I love reading all this history. I didn't find the game until late July, 2009, but I've been an avid fan ever since. I don't remember what the top level was then but the red mansion was definitely the creme de la creme and it took FOREVER to get enough coins and levels to get there. It was wonderful to have the carrot in front of your nose, though. Actually, I never was a huge fan of the red mansion so I never even bought one but it was still a cool goal to strive for.
BTW, I've been hanging out at the Realtor Office a lot lately (wonder why???) and I get a kick out of looking at the backdrop in there because that's the way our farms USED to look. The original scarecrow - original hay bales, etc. It was great "back then" but all looks pretty comical now. FT has come a long way!

When they changed the levels from 34 to 60 they also changed the number of XPs required to reach levels. My understanding is that any kind of over lapping, or stacking can cause that. I am not positive though. I think it does for some and not others is why. I know that when I layered trees over my plowed and sowed fields that caused me major troubles and disconnects...Also layering buildings over my crops caused major troubles....But...I have gone to only having one layer of crops instead of layering for a while and still have the same troubles I have now. so Not sure how much trouble that has caused me. I would love for a a moderator to check to see if i have "corrupt game data". I have continuous disconnects and error x025 ... and constantly my "Flash Player" crashes. I did all the clean up on my computer of files and all that. NO help.... Honestly I have several times...

*****Please see post launch fixes at the end*****
Hey There,
We just released a new version of the game with the following features and bug fixes:
1. 13 New Flowers: 10 in the store and 3 in the gift page. All flowers were created by Debbie (a FarmTown player and community member) and donated to the FarmTown game, many thanks to her.
2. Log Truck with Chainsaw (FC): Allows you to chop up to 32 trees at a time, it works very similar to the treeshaker tool.
3. Default Farm Selection: When clicking on the farm title text, you will see a new checkbox in that window to select that current farm as your default farm. The default farm will be the farm where you and your friends will be landing on when visiting you.
4. Show Decorations: We added this new option to the Option Window (top right tool icon) to make it easier for you to hide all decorations at once, including fences.
5. 'Decorations' category restructured: The store 'Decorations' category have now been divided in 5:
Farming Decor - All decorations that you would naturally expect to see in a farm
Motion - All items with a purpose or transportation of humans or any other stuff. Previous giftable fathers day items like golf carts, ATV and hot rods have been added to this category
Furniture - All furnitures
Fun - All items with a fun purpuse. All fathers day sport items have been added to this category
Other - The rest of the old 'Decorations' category. Previous mothers day sculptures have been added to this category and to the Topiaries
6. Mineral Mine (coins): Allows you to produce silver, gold and diamonds.
7. Jewelry Factory (FC): Allows you to produce jewels:
Earring
Necklace
Photo Frame with embeded jewelry
Ring
Watch
Jewelry Box with embeded jewelry
8. Pasta Factory (coins): Allows you to produce uncooked pasta:
Spaghetti
Macaroni
Fettuccine
Linguine
Lasagne
9. Pasta Restaurant (FC): Allows you to produce salads and pasta dishes:
Caprese Salad
Caesar Chicken Salad
Garden Salad
Macaroni and Cheese
Spaghetti with Meatballs
Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo
Seafood Linguine
Meat Lasagne
10. Tomato Sauce: Some Pasta Dishes requires Tomato Sauce which you can now make in the Food Preserver Factory.
11. Multitools and the 'Remove space between fields' setting: From now on, all multitools (except for the multiplower to be completed for the next release)will work as expected independent on the 'Remove space between fields' setting, before, setting/unsetting that option could make your multitools only do one field at a time for a while.
12. When hiring others, incorrect crop count on storage for fertilized crops: This bug should now be fixed, no need to refresh the game anymore to see the correct count.
13. Fences can now be selected and hidden without issues.
14. Harvest, Plow and Tool vertical toolbars now dissapear when you select a tool and start working.
15. Minor Changes: Horse Training Area now allows you to put some horses on it. Alternative views for facilities are now the default on the store, when you purchase them, you can always go back to the previous cartoonish look if you want to.
Farm 6 and new levels comming soon...
Enjoy!
*****Post launch fixes*****
- Big Bulldozer now deletes 3 types of fields, harvested fields, gone to waste and regular plow fields
- The Tools are not hidden when you hide all decorations
- There is a warning once per day, that alert you when you have decorations, buildings or other stuff hidden in the game, so you don't panic when you see all them gone without remembering why
- We discoreverd that the Horse Training Area item fix is not functioning as expected, this will take longer to fix, please ignore this functionality for the time being
Thanks

I stopped all the layering, even building over plots, but today, was plowing and I have about 6 plots that just had the count down, but did nothing. LAYERING can cause problems even when you stop layering.

I guess "comming soon" takes longer than coming soon (heavy sigh). Probably a good thing, I have real peach trees to harvest and jam to make. Wish I could take my little tree shaker out and use it on my real trees, then I could get back to farming sooner.
Love this game! Trying to be patient waiting for farm 6 but my little avatars feet are very sore from running back and forth to the realtor office checking. Need new boots now too, worn holes in these. Happy Farming everyone!

Thanks for the new facilities. Only problem is....I really need more farms. It's to the point have more facilities than field space to keep them all up and running. I am really starting to get bored since I can only produce so much for the facilities. Please make a farm 6 and 7. Before making any more facilities.

Just wondering why you had to buy 3 of them my tree shaker and chain saw moves to the other farms with me .....or put things in storage until next farm .Just wondering
Many farmers buy multiple pieces of equipment so that we don't have to mess with putting things in storage and then waiting for storage to load every time we change farms and need our equipment. It was only in the last few updates that it became possible to move equipment without putting it into storage so a lot of us already had multiple plows, seeders, and harvesters.

This game is great BUT there is 2 much clicking involved. Also I have over 200 million dollars, five farms, all the facilities, and am at the top level 115 with no where 2 go. Why should I play anymore? It is boring.
There is no way to play the game without clicking. There are hundreds of farmers at this point that have over 200 million, all five farms, all the facilities and are completely leveled out. New levels are in the works, as stated in the first post of this thread, as well as new farms. If you are bored now is that really going to change when the new update comes out. Before long you will have everything and be leveled out again so.......

Should get a Mac, no problems with that system....
Have you tried downloading the upgrade and then shut down and coming back again (rebooting?). I know that when i d/l something on my IMac it tells me I have to "Restart" so that the program goes to wherever it has to go without me doing anything.
Just a thought, don't understand those other PCs at all, sorry.

The official stand on that is that it is a cheat. If by chance someone reports you it can result in you losing your Facebook account. It has happened, although I don't know how often.
The guy is on everybody's wall and I particularly don't see any harm and getting a few more sacks of flour or a tree or a flower from it.... but darn he does not have tomatoes, or rice or corn flour when you most needed. The flour always comes in handy because you never have enough even now with the fertilizer. Of course DO NOT DEPEND on the (external site - name removed by Moderator) alone, harvest your crops and then go there if you don't have enough, its better than going to the market to work for someone....

Oh Sunny D, that was not meant for you but the lady that had the problem with the Flash program. I do have HP laptop but that one is when we travel to keep up with things. I use my IMAC all the time here at home. I worked for Dept of Defense and have been with computers since 1973 give or take and our first program was developed "supposedly" by AT&T. It was a drop down menu and after all the computers started coming out, guess which was the very first one to have the drop down menus but Apple, so maybe DoD had been working with Mr. Jobs for a while, lol
Our computers did not have a brand name, they were just there.
On another down memory lane note, I have been a member of FT since March 19, 2009 and never did like the mansion much either, mine is on storage, lol

One of my kitties is very polite. As I sit rapt in my computer chair, she stands up against the chair arm, reaches out with her paw and taps my gently. If that does not work, she does it again, an imploring look on her face.
Her little sister, on the other hand, sits by my chair and squeaks at me, and their brother simply hurls himself into my arms and stares me in the face.

I usually have my farm open from the time I get up until the time I go to bed. Heaven forbid we have to go anywhere. If I can't access my farm I have my kindle in hand reading through the forum. Imagine my excitement when I discovered that I got excellent wireless coverage on my kindle during an entire 200 mile road trip! I am certain that I have officially become a Farm Town addict. I bug my family to help me harvest and plow all the time. If I can't find a neighbor to help me harvest, I am instantly texting my sister! I literally fell asleep on my computer last night trying to get my flowers harvested at 4 AM  ! Yet another night my husband had to literally take my computer away and send me to bed.
I guess that being an addict to such a wonderful game is better than being addicted to the any one of the other more dangerous things out there!

Farm 6 is already in the works. I have found that if I am patient enough I can get enough yeast to do everything that needs done if I just stockpile it for a few days without using any of it. The same thing with my honey, lobsters, and even my tomatoes. Right after we got the manure spreader I planted all five of my farms in tomatoes, fertilized and waited patiently for them to be ready. I just used the last of my tomatoes tonight and that is with keeping most of my facilities fully stocked!
Any item that we require lots of (wheat, tomatoes, yeast, corn...etc) I have discovered that if I practice a little patients I can gather enough to get on top of production and then do not require so many at once all the time. If I can get my facilities maxed out and then make sure that I don't let them get to empty I can plant and harvest at a fairly normal rate instead of trying to rush around gathering up enough stuff to keep my factories producing. If all else fails I know that I can always get some of what I need working for others, this being a social game, I find that many people are willing to help you get what you need!

I got one up on that I think. I purchased the new EVO phone with a mobile hotspot that allows for 8 devices to have wireless internet through the phone. On a recent trip from Indiana to Southern Florida my wife and I were on Farmtown all the way down and back. Fried the batteries in the wireless mouse though and had to buy new ones. So I say her name, she says, if you want it go to my farm and I will hire you." So I go to her farm and she pops in and says "Hahahaha, its only a joke you idiot, hahaha! There was no work to be done, and she was so very rude. I hope that using the report feature in the game works. I reported her butt as fast as I could click on her, which she tried to avoid by moving all over the place and then leaving. HA HA to her, I got her and I hope she losses her account for doing it!
She probably reported me to cause I got upset :(
EDIT - OMG after a break from the game and some sleep this sounds almost as childish as the incident was! Please forgive my momentary lack of adult behavior!

 Just a momentary rant. I was just in the market place, this girl comes in and says "who wants to harvest and plow." She then says "I hire only one, whoever wants it call my name." So I say her name, she says, if you want it go to my farm and I will hire you." So I go to her farm and she pops in and says "Hahahaha, its only a joke you idiot, hahaha! There was no work to be done, and she was so very rude. I hope that using the report feature in the game works. I reported her butt as fast as I could click on her, which she tried to avoid by moving all over the place and then leaving. HA HA to her, I got her and I hope she losses her account for doing it!
Farmer name is ********, if you see her around run for cover, DO NOT WORK FOR THIS FARMER!
She probably reported me to cause I got upset :(
Just a word of warning here: whilst this kind of behaviour in the game is indeed annoying, it does not warrant use of the report button.
'Report' should be reserved for more serious cases where players are using abusive language, making racist comments, using threats, etc. In a case such as you describe, the ignore button is the better option. It will remove the person from your game and you will not have to deal with them again.
Use of the report button for less serious 'offences' can result in your own account being placed under review.
Secondly: I have removed the player's avatar name from your post. Naming players on the forum is counter-productive, as there could be thousands of players with the same name, and it's unfair to the majority who play the game in a reasonable manner.
Hope you don't mind my using your post to make these points, but this is something that does come up quite often, and many players are not aware of the difference between 'report' and 'ignore'.
Thanks. :)

Sorry Speed that this happened to you, and more sorry that it upset you so much. Honestly it is that of a childish prank. I frankly would not waste the energy on being upset over it, it is pure silliness. You can always put them on ignore. As for myself, when people say in the market to meet them on their farm for a job I never go lol I figure hey hire me here if ya want me to work. I have always thought that was an odd way of hiring. Anyway keep a smile and don't sweat the small stuff.

Oh, do I remember..."Sorry, don't know that crazy woman running all over your farm."
And who can forget the "I'm busy" sign. Still does it sometimes but not as much. Had to tell whoever hired me "she is worked out and needs time to recoup", LOL
Now I just go there and slap her silly, and she comes back to life, but like I said it's not that often that she tells me she is busy, busy doing what may I ask?

The MarketPlace will always be the MarketPlace full of Clowns, but you will meet a lot of good people also! You must laugh off all the jokers and make friends with the good hearted players.....Once upon a time there was this other person giving out an web url saying make farm cash and behold it was a porn site!
I'm sure somebody did report them but for me ignore ignore ignore button..foolish of me to even check out that web address!!

How soon the 6th farm will be please? :D
And how long before we can upgrade sizes of farms? I am at level 85. I should be able to make my farm larger. Is it true that you need 35 neighbors to upgrade?

Farm 3 is the only one that requires neighbors to buy and expand, which is 30 neighbors not 35. If you goto the realtors, it will tell you what expansions you may get, the levels required, the price etc (unless you use farmcash then nothing else is required)

It was levels 1-34. Then they added it to 60. Then to 90. Then to 100. Then 115. Ack my head is filled with useless info lol.
Alright, lets have some REAL history, DoubleT! :p
A nice time-line of the significant events in the history of "Our Game" should be somewhere in the "Users Manual"!! (a chapter entitled "Background"?)
Inquiring minds wanna know!
FT began Feb 2009?
What were the appx dates of the level upgrades?
And... the appx dates of the addition of Farms 2, 3, 4, 5?
Of Farm Cash?
Of Factories?!
THANK YOU DEVS AND MODS! hugs to you all, and to those forum contributors who really add to it!
Nothing matches the wonderful graphics in this game!! :D

yes, many a time back in the day when my avatar would take the scenic route to plow or plant a field just two places away from where I was... and for me it was the hedges, stone path and stone fences that I really really wanted!
Yes, our avatar would go walkabout. (Is that how you Brits say it?) And when the farm took soooo long to load, and the advice here on the forum was to get RID of a lot of hedges!!!
Planning design of that one farm was such a big thing!!! Using sand paths to "paste" pieces of water together, or put squirrel in wheelbarrow. Would stay up all night to construct a waterfall!
