I have been very ill and missed playing Farmtown for months. Now that I'm playing again, the last step of quests that I have been saving have started without me for the second time. What's up with that? It will cause quests to expire instead of counting for next week.

For your quest problem, which was the quest you had problems with?

Are you sure you unchecked the last step for that quest?
Please remember that if the last step says Load xxxx you have to uncheck that step in a service facility not in the regular one.

When i had a stroke in November. unchecking the last step wasn't necessary; that necessity must have been added since then. today it caused "produce (not load) pempek in the Indonesian restaurant (a production facility) and "load candle holder in the Bridal Shop" to complete and become useless to me.

I am sorry you have had health problems. However, unchecking the last step to prevent a quest from being completed has always been required since the addition of the quests.
We don't have any way of checking on this. I can't duplicate this either. If you continue having problems with this please contact Support.

I completely forgot this! I must have had some "fool-proof" way of remembering to not produce all and load all, but now I forgot it would happen.

PLEASE consider shortening the hours between quests as they seem designed to the player to earn 2 FC for 7 quests NOT the 8 you need to gain 2FC. There's a lot of work involved and I am becoming very unhappy with it, thanks.

For the "Egyptian Falafel", the game is telling me I need Cilantro/Coriander and I've already harvested it SINCE accepting that quest (Farm 30).

Lisa, the problem is that if you only plant small amounts of crops, then you cant have many stored.
If you use them to fill your facilities and post them, then you do not have enough when you need them to complete your quest.

You can have the step completed at a moment, but you also need to have them stored to be able to start production for a quest.

However, if you're merely working the semi truck facility on your own, each one only takes 30 minutes to complete. When you have a regular Quest then the semi trailer products will always take 1 hour for any step to be completed.

When you also own the Ordering Station w/trailer, which shorten that time, then you first see the step will take 30 minutes to be completed, but if you close and reopen, the Quest will show the correct time, 1 hour.

I looked at your quests and see you have 10 of the 14 steps completed. That tells me you have more steps that need to be completed before you can make the beet borscht in the restaurant. For one thing you need the rye bread for the recipe. So you need to make the rye bread in in the bakery first with the rye flour.

You need to make the rye flour in the wind mill either red or stone. Is it possible your windmill is full with pending batches that will not allow you to start a new batch for this until one batch gets completed?

The time icon that goes in the rye flour task isn't showing up. It looks like it isn't working. However when I went back in a few moments ago it was done, and the problem is solved. I had room for the task as it was not checked before and the entire task was empty. In any case, the problem is solved. Rye bread is baking and I'm on my way.

When you get hired to work on other peoples farm(s) you will get the following:
Crops: When you harvest crops for someone else you will receive 25% of the selling price of the crop that you are harvesting and you will receive 10% of the crop that you are harvesting.
So to get the 10 she needs she has to harvest 100.

If so, you have to wait till a batch is done to be able to start one.

I moved your post to the Help & Support thread about quests as this has nothing to do with the current release.
When you start a product for a quest be sure to not use the Start all and look in the box for that product to see if the start button is greyed out. If it is you will not be able to start that product yet.

I am sorry this happened to you, but I can't duplicate this. I also started several items in quests this morning and they are working.
As long as those items are not non-working facility products then you should be able to post your facilities for your neighbors to work to shorten the time you have to wait to start a batch for each of those again. The best way to do any step for a quest is to use the open button in the quest and start a single batch rather than using the Start All to do them. That way if it doesn't work the first time you still have more batches you can start.

Refreshed and reloaded the farms and then I was able to start all but 2 non-workable by others facilities. Will try them much later. Strange. Must have been something stupid on my part. Appreciate your time.

Thanks Taz. I always use the open button in the quest. I never do a quest by start all. I only loaded everything after the items showed started in quest. I always do quests first. It just added another four hours to the six hours those will probably take to finish in quest. It's a game and could have glitches here and there to be expected I suppose. Overall, I really have no complaints with the game. Thanks again Taz for checking on it.

I think you are trying to get blue ink by working your friends facilities.

Well that should work if you first have the steps for soybean and blueberry completed.

To have them completed you can harvest them in your own farms or in a friend farm as you have the employeed lifeline.

After that, then working facilities should work to get the blue ink.

I thought I could accept gifts of sugar and flour and get those ingredients that way, but that's not working. I need to finish this quest today - which means I wouldn't have time to grow the wheat I need. Am I just stuck or is there some way to do this with Gifts that I'm not seeing?

You can get Sugar and Flour from gifts, but you have to have completed the steps for sugarcane and wheat first. You can get the sugarcane and wheat through ingredient requests. The lifelines and how to use them are in the first post on the first page of this thread,

Hi Susan,
You would have to find a product in a facility that uses sugarcane and one that uses wheat. To request ingredients you click on the plus sign in the box in the facility for that product.

I just had a look at your data and it shows you have 2 Quests in progress.

One for Loading Cola and the other for Loading Mailbox Rentals.

Once the last step for both quests has the green check mark, then you have to collect the coins for them to show up in the chart.

If the quests have the green check mark for the last step but you can't see the Blue Collect Coins button, then be sure your zoom level for that page is at 100%

Also remember that to get 1 Farm cash you have to complete 3 Quests in 7 days or 8 Quests for 2 Farm Cash.

I moved your post to the thread about the quests. The life lines will not work for the last step of the quests. It only works for the preceding steps. And you are correct if you have started the step in a facility then gifts won't help.

Regarding using the "help, " I have not started the last step. These issues are leading up to the final step. An override would be really nice so that you can complete the first steps using the aids available.

According to what I see in your data you have already completed all the steps except the last one for the quest you have the gift life line on. The Life Lines do not work for the last step, so that one you have to do yourself. Even if it could be done by the the life line, the candied watermelon rind is not a giftable item.

I combined your 3 posts. If it is a different set of farms you will need to provide the ID for those farms. You can find that at the bottom of your farms page.
If it is a different quest please note the Life Lines only work for the quest you accepted it on. It does not work on all your quests you have open. So you can not use it for the Bulgarian Stew.

I had a look at your data and you do not have any Hot Sauce stored by the time I checked.

No matter that step is completed in your quest, you need to have that item in your storage to be able to start the Tuna Salad.

If you have any Hot Sauce in production in your Sauce and Condiments factory, please wait till they are done and store them.
Then try to start the last step for your quest again.

Remember to only start a batch for the Tuna salad step instead of clicking in All or 10 or 30 options.

Hi Carol,
Trading means buying. Since bananas are basic ingredients, you can get one of your neighbors or anyone in the trading market to sell you some bananas. That way you do not need to buy the banana tree, since all you need for the quest is the fruit.

Yes, the game will recognize it as for a quest you need to harvest that crop not planting.

Most of us have a quest farm where we plant all kind of crops to be able to get them when a quest asks for them.

I have two quest farms and I just got the answer I needed in the market. Gonna see about getting hired for the crops I need. I just activated the employee lifeline too

It should work but it depends if the animal sheds were ready to harvest by the time you clicked in Harvest all button and if they have the animals you need.

You have a super dairy on your farm 4 which is a quest farm, if it has cows then try that and see if it works for you.

Only quest farms should be 28 & 32

Thanks so much - and yes, I actually read that first post - more than once - but I wasn't sure I understood. I think the last time I got that lifeline, I was mixed up on the difference between producing something vs. loading it. Ever since then, I think I'm going to mess is up. :(

Just remember that you can only ask for ingredients from a Regular Facility, not from a Service Facility.

I moved your post to the thread about quests. If the load batch button is greyed out then that product is full and you can not load another batch until one is completed. You can check the Pending and see how long until one is complete or post to get your neighbors to work your services and be able to start one after someone has worked them.

Hi SherriM,
You only have 1 bottle of the Ginger Zest Vodka, which is what the quest is for, in your storage. It takes 2 bottles to load a batch. If you have any completed in your Specialty Vodka Distillery then you need to store them. You should then be able to load it.
If you don't have any completed there then you will need to produce some.

You had the reward for "Increase capacity by 10% for facilities producing common ingredients" in the Farm Pass for December.

If you loaded your facilities before the new Farm Pass for January started, then the Food coloring factory and the Ink and Pigments factory which are part of the facilities producing common ingredients were loaded with an increase of 10%

You can open those facilities and check if the % is over 100%, then you need to wait for the percentage to drop below 100% and then you can start a batch.

Hi Kadin,
Trading Lifeline - Allows you to complete Quest Steps by trading goods with other farmers in the Market.
This will help if you need a basic ingredient that can be bought from another farmer (harvested crops, harvested animal products, chopped trees, fish, harvested flowers).
You can NOT buy finished products made in facilities from another farmer.
You are buying the ingredients from other farmers who can be your neighbors or strangers at the market.

No that won't work. You have to buy from an individual selling directly to you not through the trading warehouse. Ask one of your neighbors to sell you some.

I am not sure. I do see you now have 5 of the 8 steps completed. Try restarting your farms and see if it is there. If it is not try running the memcache. You can find a link to that at the bottom of your farm page.

Are you sure you unchecked it is the Canadian Restaurant and not in the Taste of Canada?

The time difference is a known glitch, however it is so intermitent that the developers have not been able to determine what causes it as they can't duplicate this. There are a few products this happens too on occasion. Unfortunately we have no way to adjust this for you.
The starting of some products even though unchecke dis also an intermitent bug, so also not one they have been able to fix.

You got the gift life line on December 26th, January 5th and 15th.

I just tried and I got the Trader lifeline.

How many Red wine containers do you need to produce for your quest?

The Winery only produces 2 Red wine containers in 6 hours.

So if you need 6 Red wine containers for your quest, then all them will be ready in 18 hours (2 every 6 hours).

If you want to accelerate this, then you need 3 Wineries (they cost coins). Place them on different farms.
Then start a batch for Red wine container in each Winery.
After 6 hours you will have 6 Red wine containers for your quest.

After completing the step and if you do not want all those Wineries on your farms you can send them to storage.
In the future, if you get a similar quest needing the Winery you can place them again on your farms and complete the steps.

I am not sure why it was delayed, but you did get your 2 farm cash tonight. You can check this by going to the Account tab above your farms and then select the Farm Cash Activity Log.

You should see the quantity number below the clock timer. Does it say 1/1 or 0/1?
When you go to the semi through the quests link does it show the Start batch button greyed out?

If it is greyed out then clicking on it will not start a batch, even though if you click on it from the quest link it will set the timer in the quest. You will have to wait until the Start button is no longer greyed out to start one or if you have other semi trucks you can go to a different one and see if it is not greyed out and use that. The quest link only shows the facility on the lowest number farm.

This happens when you have the reward in the Farm Pass for increased production from the previous month. When we change months in the Farm Pass any additional production still ongoing from that shows as a percentage over 100%. Happens every month when a new Farm Pass is started.

I assumed Squeak would be able to get what she needed by working at Farmer Susan's (her SNs) quest farm, where there's at least 4 of all crops needed for quests. Flowers in Tinajon is one of the difficult coop quests to complete.
When you get it, then it is better to post it in the Help with coop quests thread so others with the same quest, can buy from you and they usually leave a message to let you buy from them.

We always recommend to keep a help note when the last step is for loading the product in a service, but as you used all your help notes, you can try to post in the link you mentioned but it is not easy to find a farmer with the exact coop quest.
BTW, that thread was used this morning not in 2016 :)

I moved your post to the thread about the quests. In order to help someone with their co-op quest help notes you do have to be a neighbor. You also have to have enough of the item they need in your storage as those do come from you.

You only got 1 farm cash because you only had 7 quests completed at the time you collected your farm cash.
The oldest quest for Load Sheep Silage completed on the 17th at 3:33 pm eastern time dropped off the list before you collected today at 6:16 pm.


Quests are only good for 7 days to the second after they have been completed. As that time expires they are removed from the total and list.


You have a way to see when quests will expire by checking the Show Quests button in the manager to see when the oldest quest will drop off the list.

Another problem. Doing the "steel roller" quest and half the "ingredients" that should be ready/available are not. The blueberries aren't ready and the black pigment and stainless steel sheet say not ready. They BOTH should be.

Another problem. Doing the "steel roller" quest and half the "ingredients" that should be ready/available are not. The blueberries aren't ready and the black pigment and stainless steel sheet say not ready. They BOTH should be.

Sorry I don't understand what the problem is. It looks like you have not harvested the blueberries or a rubber tree. And have not started the production of the black pigment or stainless steel. What happens when you try to start a batch of those? Where are you harvesting the blueberries and rubber trees?

I'm just letting it go. Not worth the aggravation. The game is not giving me credit for harvesting the walnuts (black pigment). I have the rubber trees. Waiting on the trees to grow as well as the blueberries. The blueberries on F20 aren't ready yet.

It may not be that the game is not giving you credit for the walnut, but maybe the ink & pigment factory is full at or greater than 100% (because of farm pass) for the black pigment so can not start a batch at the moment.

Taz is not available at this moment.

If your Oil refinery was filled before you tried to start a batch for petrochemical barrel, then yes, you will have to wait.
Every item in the Oil refinery takes 6 hours to be ready.

Open your Oil refinery and click in What's pending button. Then check how much time you have to wait till you can start a batch.

Hi Alma,
I moved your post to the thread about quests. You collected for quests at 12:47 Am eastern time last night. You collected the coins for 3 quests a few minutes ago, but not all of them were completed today. Only 1 was completed today after the time you collected the FC. The Make Murano Cherries and Make White Pizza were completed around 11:00 PM last night on April 30th. Since those quests were completed before you collected your FC ealry this morning then they can not count for this weeks quests.
A quest is completed when the last step completes, not when you collect the coins. So waiting to collect the coins does not work to hold a quest over for the next week.
